How do I beat the samurai cat dude?

Selekris 34 Priest
What level should I be to beat him? (He's the samurai cat blocking the door to the next boss (i think) and the last of the Trigorminate. Am I underleveled?
Your perfectly leveled for this guy, if not over;
I have no idea where you struggle so I'll just list general facts relating your party to this guy.
It's best to buff Selekris on the first turn to gaurantee his safety. Purrvis is really fast so I would highly recomend making use of your two healers. I would either resort have Selekris consitently cast multiheal and have, when she's low on health, her defend while Avakris heal her to gaurantee her survival. (defend severly reduces normal damage and makes criticals acknowledge defence)
You can resort to that or, if you think she's fast enough, have Evakris cast accelate on her to make sure she can get a heal in before he attacks.
If you don't use accelerate, whenever things are going smovely with hp, you can attempt a 4hit combo with your characters. Make sure Avakris has enough MP to revive Selekris since you never know if Purrvis will knock her off her feet and finish her.
You also need to ensure your characters are on full hits because you never know when he'll get a critical which will severly wound (if not kill) one of your characters, but don't worry about Selekris because (to be frank) she'll die from it anyway =P. (Criticals ignore defence so buff will not help in that matter).
Your main priority is to keep your Avakris and Selekris alive, Evakris and Valekris naturally have high HP so don't worry about them as much.
Near the beggining, have Avakris heal so Selekris can buff if wanted to ensure your their survival. Avakris has decent HP and the highest defence in the party so little worry for his HP is needed.
Keep to these general ideas and you've got a very solid defence and you can recover from disasters pretty easily too.

As per Damage_dealer's FAQ/Walkthrough:
This Lieutenant is far more difficult than the previous one. Similarly to Hogg,
this guy uses only physical sword attacks. His Multislash deals around 60 dmg
to the whole party, but hits random characters. The Upward Slice is the most
dangerous attack; it can knock a character down and has a high chance to do
a critical hit, and that's about 220 dmg to a single character. He also has
moves like Flame Slash and Kacrackle Slash, but uses them rarely. If you have
a party with good armors, you shouldn't worry too much about Multislash or
other attacks, as your Priest/Sage should use Multiheal every second turn.
Things can get ugly if Purrvis starts to take your characters out with crits
every turn. Make good use of Zing (or Kazing, if you have it) here. If you're
lucky enough, you can score a few criticals on him, too. Simply keep attacking
him with your most powerful abilities, and he'll go down sooner or later.
High resilience value also plays an important role in this fight, and thief
or paladin vocations have plenty of it.
Well, the most important advice is this:
Get the "Secrets of the Shield" scroll. It automatically blocks critical hits for the character that is carrying it. It is obtained from Swinedimple's Academy. You need 100 in shield skill to complete the quest for it.
Give the scroll to your priest, and have them cast Multiheal every turn. The deadliest thing about Purrrvis is his "hacks away like a demon" move. It has a 50% chance of critically hitting, so you want to ensure that your priest isn't killed by it. Multiheal should also cover damage from his multislash attack.
