  1. It actually depends on what you need.

    Vaporeon for HP then Sp.Atk
    Jolteon for Speed then Sp.Atk
    Flareon for Attack then Sp.Def
    Espeon for Sp.Atk then Speed
    Umbreon for Sp.Def then Defense
    Leafeon for Defense then Attack
    Glaceon for Sp.Atk then Defense

If you need a Physical Attacker, use Flareon or Leafeon.
If you need a Special Attacker, use Jolteon or Espeon.
If you need a Defender, use Umbreon (Mixed), Vaporeon (Special), Flareon (Special), Glaceon (Physical), or Leafeon (Physical).

  2. Hands down Vaporeon and Jolteon are your optimal choices for your eevee evolution. Both of which are in the OU tier in competetive battling. Vaporeon is great for walling water types and getting health back for your pokes with wish.
Jolteon is a good choice for a choice specs set. Umbreon is also useful for trap pass and stalling out pokes but is
easily walled out by any pokemon with taunt.

  3. Honestly, it depends on what types you already have. For example, if you chose chimchar, you should NOT choose flareon. You need a party with all around types.

  5. WARNING: minor elite four spoilers ahead!

Well, elite 4 wise, we have a lot of different advantages. Flareon can burn up the irritating bug types in the first encounter.
However when faced with Ground/ rock types, Flareon disappoints, but Vaporeon and to a slightly lesser extent, Glaceon proves valuable (Leafeon can work too).

One of the trainers is mixed, but with a Fire type center. So Vaporeon likely wins here.

Psychic types suffer at Umbreons hands (or paws), but Shadow Ball Espeon or Jolteon can actually provide an interesting take on the situation.

As for the champ, Glaceon can take two of their big threats down, but so can Jolteon.

Flareon can take out a irritating pokemon on their team too.

Overall, it seems Vaporeon, Glacron and Umbreon have a bit of a advantage, but really most eeveeloutions can be helpful in their own ways.

  8. I've had all eeveelutions when I played Pokemon Black(or black 2)(can't really remember). It depends on which kind of stats you like/need really. Personally, I like Umbreon for its 'defensive' type but sometimes it can be annoying when you just want to attack head on. If you want an 'attacker' then I would say get Glaceon (special) or Espeon (special) or Leafeon(attack). What I don't really like (personal opinion!!!) are Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon. I'm fine with all the rest. :D

  9. In pokemon platinum i would have to say that, purely on level up moves and the fact that the eevee you get from bebe is level 25, the best would be either vaporeon or espeon because they both get a move that will be kinda useful for them (bite and swift respectively) until they get to level 36 (aurora beam or psybeam respectively) where they can start being one of your best team members. all of eevee's form have a slow start because they missed their good level 15 moves, especially leafeon and glaceon because they don't get their good moves till level 71 in this game.

if you're willing to use tms they all are pretty good and there is no wrong choice. but if you aren't, i'd go vaporeon or espeon.
