Question from Frankyjess

How do I access the survival/resort area?

I've beaten the elite four, and have fought in the fight area...am I missing something?

You must see all 210 pokemon in the Sinnoh pokedex. You then go to Prof. Rowan for the national dex.
You only need to see them not catch them.

If you've been able to access the fight area, then you have already obtained the National Dex and sailed out of Snowpoint City.

To access the Survival Area, you need to work your way through Route 225. In the Fight Area, head back towards the docks, then take the path going north (this is also where you can get the Super Rod). Go through the gatehouse and onto Route 225. After fighting your way through this route, you will reach the Survival Area.

To access the Resort Area, you have two choices--at least, I think you do. You will need various HM moves to get through Route 226, then Surf across to Route 228 (the sandstorm route). Once you exit onto Route 229, you will be able to get into the Resort Area. You may also be able to go east through the Fight Area and Surf east on Route 230 to get to Route 229 and the Resort Area.

Actually, you have limited access to the Fight Area if you only have the Sinnoh Dex, starknight75. You do need to see all 210 Sinnoh Dex Pokemon (since you're at the Fight Area, Frankyjess, you've already met the "become Champion" prerequisite for the National Dex).
