How do I get Electabuzz to evolve into Electivire?

I've just got all the gym badges and have a healthy enough team of all level 52.However one of my team is a Luxray. Luxray is a good enough electric pokemon but I wanted a slightly better electric pokemon. I caught a level 41 Electabuzz on routh 222 and have been training him up for a while hoping to get an Electivire!... but no luck! I was just wondering if there was someyhing specific I have to do in order to make Electabuzz evolve!?? I'd appreciate any help!!

All you have to do is give him the item electerizer, which can be found near Valley Windworks, behind the windmills when you surf. You have to trade him with that item and he'll immediately evolve.
