Question from sithlord25244

How do you create the scorpion man?

SInce you need to create all egyptian myth units, how do you get the last one?

ltdragon93 asked for clarification:

I was curious, dratinide. What did you mean by the other version?

brokendwarf answered:

You cannot use or make any of these units. None of the relics do anything like that, if you read the effects of each.

No relics, no summoning in any way.

Easy one of the Egyptian teams makes it all you have to do is age up and pick the god that has the scorpion man then train him.

You have to unlock one of the Egyptian fifth minor gods, that one has the scorpids. (I think it was the Set one.)

dratinide answered:

thats why the question is here because the fifth minor god does not create the scorpion man.

i think the answer is something to do with setekh you know son of set.
because on my campaighn mission i was facing setekh and the scorpion man was coming from the baracks weird.

the fifth god (hathor) creates roc not scorpion man. I know it is something to do with setekh. Plus it has nothing to do with the gods. you just have to have set and setekh i think.

I think there is no major/minor god that can summon this unit...
I know how to prove it...
summon all egypt myth unit, except scorpioman.....
in your achievment, are you finished the achievment that unlocked by summoning all egypt myth unit.....
if you unlock it, you can't summon scorpioman

I'm not too familiar with egypt. I normally play as norse. If it is true that none of the minor gods spawn it and if it is true that it spawns from the barracks as is mentioned in one post I read on the other question about them, then it may be possible that the scorpion man could be summoned by researching something at the shrine. This is just pure speculation, but it seems to me that this is the only thing left if it isn't from any of the gods. If this doesn't work, it's also possible, as someone mentioned above, that using Set and the other guy in combination with something else could do it. It is just as likely, however, that the scorpion man is merely an enemy npc that is there just to taunt you while trying to find a way to get it.

You may need to research one of the god's techs to get it, like set's hyenas.

I have a theory about the seemingly impossible myth units. I'm pretty sure each culture has a myth unit that appears to be impossible to summon by normal means. i think it has something to do with using the fifth heroes in some combination with a god, or tech, or something. As mentioned above, the Egyptian fifth hero may have a connection with the Scorpions. I believe that ladon warriors are the "impossible" Greek unit, however they are present in the campaign, accompanied by the fifth hero, and are also playable in one of the scenarios, again in the presence of the fifth hero. The Scorpion men appear with the fifth Egyptian hero. On one of the other questions, there is a posting about an "impossible" Norse unit. I recall seeing this unit, but I'm not sure if it was with the fifth hero. I actually think it was with Siegfried, in that case I may be completely wrong, but they are striking coincidences. I think that some combination of the fifth heroes, a certain god, or tech, etc. may be the key to summoning these "impossible" units. I haven't had a chance to actually prove or disprove this, but if anyone looks into it, please inform me of the results.

Its also possible that my thoughts about this have been a complete waste of time and dratinide is correct. It could be that these units are exclusive to the AU version. Then again it could just be the programmer's idea of a good joke. To leave what seems like logical connections, that really only lead to it being impossible.

I was able to earn the achievement without the Scorpion man. However, I had to make the Myth units in Skirmish mode.

ltdragon93 answered:

maybe it really is impossible. I tried the THQ email support on their website. They didn't offer any clues. They suggested to find other gamers who could tell me, lol.

I have a new addition to my theory. One of the relics that are unlockable is Set's desert something. I'm pretty sure that the ring of power is an unlockable relic as well. Does anyone know for sure? After the last level of the Norse campaign it is mentioned that the ring belongs to the nibelung dwarves! Could be another piece of the nonexistent puzzle, but it could also be something true. The nibelung warriors are the "impossible" Norse unit. It could be something to do with the gods, the heroes, and a relic. Setekh, a fifth hero, is the son of Set. Narfi, a fifth hero, is the son of Loki. Ladon, I think, is the son of typhon, which may put a hole in my theory. I'm not sure if the nibelung warriors appeared with Narfi, but I know that the other two "impossible" units appeared with their respective fifth hero. It's possible that you have to get a certain relic in combination with something else. I don't have the game or my ds with me at the moment, but I believe that the ring of power is unlockable. If anyone knows for sure please tell. Ladon has a couple of origin myths. I believe in the game it is mentioned that he is the son of Typhon, which is one myth. However Typhon isn't a god. Hera, on the other hand is, and is another possible ancestor of Ladon. I have no idea if either Typhon, or Hera, has a relic available. If they do someone please tell me.

If you think about it, these "impossible myth units" are seen in Campaigns, but they are never seen in Campaigns after the first day--that is, whenever they are seen, they are on the map on day 1, they are never trained at a Shrine. So if even the AI can't train them, it makes sense they are not able to be trained.
