Note: Anything in this guide may have been
found out already by another person.
If there is any tactic that I used
from another person, I'll leave a link.

    Version 0.01

I know, I'm odd with that number. I don't care. Hahaha! This is my
initial walkthrough. This was going to be theory based, as I didn't want to go
through the game again. I instead decided to go through to make sure you guys
know everything there is to actually beating this game efficiently. You may be
thinking that this won't be different from a normal LLG from the PSX and Snes
versions. The difference here is the levels. At times, you are using different
tactics, such as with Magus, than with a normal LLG.

    Version 0.02

Made a few corrections. Specifically about my previous version which I will be
correcting here and not in the previous version. I said I was making this in a
theory based format. This was not and I forgot to change that. I was going to
attempt to do so, but I found it easier to do while playing through and I find
that the guide was more interesting. I also made a correction to being able to
defeat Lavos at the Ocean Palace.

    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' {WtK} '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

                    What to Know

Important! If you want to beat Lavos, you must not allow Robo to reach
** Speed, that is of course if you want to make it easier on yourself. If you
do decide to gain **, you will have a hell of a time getting Robo to have a
full turn without losing. He can't have any options to fight when the battle
starts, otherwise, you will simply lose. It's easier to have him at 15. Don't
forget about the upgrade at the Geno Dome.

This FAQ as I have stated, is a Low Level Game and will be referred to as
a LLG from now on. The whole purpose is to get to the end of the game and beat
it on the lowest level possible, sometimes with some acceptions. What I mean
by acceptions is, something that isn't necessary to actually beat the game,
but can help towards making it easier. If you want a truly 100% LLG, you
should not take on the acceptions, no matter how useful they are.

I am also going to assume you have beat the game at least once or twice,
as everyone else would say. For right now, I am not going to go into to much
depth with this guide. I will point you in the right direction, but other than
that, you will have to wait until I want to take out the time to do so. Mainly
because I won't have the internet here soon so I won't be able to post more
than an Alpha for quite some time.

I recommend that you put the Battle Mode on Wait. It's up to you if you
want to watch the movies or not, as this guide isn't made for speed. It is
completely casual. I also recommend you put the Battle Speed to 8 for the ATB
and 1 for the Messages. This will ensure that you can get the most turns out
of your fights. This may be changed at times for certain battles.

Here are the initial levels of all the players:

    Crono: 1
    Marle: 1
    Lucca: 2
    Frog: 5
    Robo: 10
    Ayla: 18
    Magus: 37

These are also your end game levels. In a LLG on PSX or Snes, they
would be much higher. So once you get to/past the Ocean Palace, you are at
a fairly decent disadvantage. These are the ending levels of a PSX/Snes:

    Crono: 1
    Marle: 4
    Lucca: 15
    Frog: 15
    Robo: 16
    Ayla: 20
    Magus: 37

Remember, any equipment that I mention later in the guide will vary
depending on how much you do in the AoA or if you decide to spend money. When
I play a game, I go for whatever I find or what is bare minimum since there is
no reason to get more unless you are having a real hard time getting by. Also
any Techs I mention within that are only the latest techniques you have and/or
the ones you are required to have to pass this area. I will use an asterisk*
if you don't have it yet. These are also subjective.

A general Rule of Thumb. If you don't want to get caught in a battle,
don't go into the center of a room. The creators generally make any spot where
you can encounter an enemy in the center of a room. Even if there is plenty of
space to squeeze by. There are other times where you can dry hump an enemy,
such as in the Ocean Palace, and they won't bother you at all.

When you see my Items Used section, I will list the items I didn't need
to use either out of safety or out of purely being sloppy. I will put
apostrophes around the items I aforementioned. Also anything I say to pick up
that has an * next to it, doesn't necessarily mean it is important. If it is,
I'll tell you how to get it.

Give Robo all of your Strength Capsules. Give all of your Magic Capsules
to Magus unless you want to beat the game with Robo, otherwise, give them all
    to Robo.

Note: Some of the information may be directly taken from this guide by
Kenneth Burns' - Arena of Ages Guide -

Please refer to this for most questions you have about the AoA.

Note: Your weeble will come back from training every 10 minutes on the
game's timer. They sometimes bring items back with them. This can
                  be very important.

    '`~*~`' Glitch '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

The importance of the second note is that, you can duplicate items this
way. If you want to keep everything fair and square and not to hard, don't
bother with this glitch. The way the glitch works is, when your weeble comes
back from training, it will state the item it brought back. This could be
anything from a Wooden Sword to a Capsule! To do this, without exiting the
initial menu, go into the Train Monster option and back out. Every time you do
this, it will give you another item!

    '`~*~`' Codes '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

Note: This is completely optional. I personally don't like spending time
doing this arena for hours on end just trying to get a single item.
So I found these codes to help with that.

If you happen to be using a DS Emulator (No I will not provide where to
find one), you can use this code to get 1 hit KOs in the arena, regardless if
you hit or miss. I would like to be able to create a code that will just have
you instantly win or your ATB gauge filled instantly to go with this, but
unfortunately, this is the fastest you can go.

If you don't want to do this thinking you could possibly lose, than only
use it after you gain to 70-90+ in at least your Strength. By this point, the
only thing that even stands a chance against you is the Ice Demon and that's
simply because he can heal for the same as or a little less than what you can
crit for. I plan to make a guide completely on PAR codes later, so if you just
don't feel like going through this, because eventually you WILL get the
wallet, I can provide some PAR codes for you. If you really think about it,
all you are doing is wasting your IRL time for nothing.

Don't have PAR or an Emulator? Sorry, I guess you gotta do it the hard way. =/

Note: Do not leave this code on when Entering your Menu, Saving or Loading.
Everything else works fine. You can activate it before/during/after
the battle takes place. The game will freeze otherwise.

Don't even want to do that!? Ok well, I took the liberty of creating a
couple codes for you guys to just skip over the hooha. This will place the
Wallet and Silver Earrings in your first and second slot of your accessories.
I've found a lot of codes mind you for this game, but these weren't made yet
so I had to make them myself.

It does not matter if these are in the same "code" or not. You can have
them separate or in the same box as one single code. Be sure to turn the codes
off after saving your game. If you decide to sort your inventory, whatever was
supposed to go into these slots will turn into these items.

The Arena of Ages. This is going to be your best friend for some time.
That is, until you reach 2,300 AD, if not earlier. The reason for this is
because, you can only utilize this place for cash, 2,300 AD equipment,
Workman's Wallet and a very few other things like Capsules. Also, the reason
behind that, the arena's Tier system is 50% reliant on your level. Not Crono's
level, but your party leader's level. So once Crono dies, you can have a
higher level Tier. The other 50% lies within your weeble. They can evolve as
different species on 3 different levels. Each level adds another Tier. The
    list is as follows:

    Levels:	Tiers:	Weeble:
    1-12 1-3 1
    13-23 2-4 2
    24-37 3-5 3
    38-** 4-6 4

Unfortunately, as you can see from the previous section, Magus is stock
at level 37, You are just a single level shy of reaching the only actual
useful Tier at this point in the game. This is one of those "acceptions" that
I was referring to. Either gain a level or do a perfect LLG. Also, just to
clerify, I figured out these levels myself and sent these to Kenneth recently.
I just feel I need to proclaim credit for this.

Here is a list of the items that are worth noting and also by Tier.
Also, please realize that you aren't required to get any of these unless I
tell you. I am only mentioning them because they can be useful to you, either
cash wise or making some battles quicker/easier. These are not all the items
possible to get from the Arena.

I have rated these based on how useful they are to you with asterisks*.
Obviously * being the least useful and ***** being the most. It is also based
on your location in the game.

There are a few I missed but it doesn't matter anyway. As far as what
you actually need to get is simply the Workman's Wallet and as of this moment,
Silver Earrings. Like I said before, some of the mentionables can come in
handy and make difficult battles more easy. There are definitely things in
these Tiers that are mentioned in the formerly said AoA Guide that aren't
confirmed in which I have found myself. Such as the mirror for Crono being in
    Tier 1.

If you do so plan to get to Tier 6, you would be stupid not to get at
least a pair of Prism Spectacles and an Angel's Tiara or two. In all
retrospect, you could get Prism Spectacles and all that before you get Magus if
you felt the need to. I'm usually 40+ by that time myself if I am just playing
    casually.

    '`~*~`' {BgN} '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

                    The Beginning

Finally, we can start out exciting ass adventure with a boring cutscene!
Be sure to watch every second of it because it is vital to the story!

First of all, just do the norm. Talk to mom, name Lucca, talk to her
again for some cash. Now go ahead to the Mayors Manor, the most southern house
and grab the 100g and Potion. At this point or before the Manor, it is
completely optional to start training your weeble in the AoA. I recommend
waiting until you get into the past, as you can train its strength more
    effeciently.

It's not necessary but if you'd like to, you can grab the Strength
Capsule in Guardia Forest nearby now or later. Your choice, as it won't have a
huge impact on difficulty. Besides that, I recommend saving all the Strength
    Capsules you can for Robo.

     Go to the Fair Grounds:
       Bump into Missy.
       Talk to her.
       Grab the Pendant.
Bring the kitty back to the girl. Do not talk to the girl previously.
       Don't eat Mr. Grump's food.
Talk to Melchior and say Sorry to showing the pendant to him.
Go to the Item Stand nearby to initiate the Fair Event.
Marle will pester you for some candy don't move until she finishes looking.

This will ensure that you get 7 innocent votes against you and you will
get, I believe, 6 Ethers if I am not mistaken, later in the game. Once this is
done, go to the show and immediately talk to Lucca. When she tells you to
enter the pod, ignore her and talk to Marle instead. Marle will be sucked into
the 600 AD and you must go after her.

This battle that you encounter is going to be the only battle that Crono
will gain experience in, or anyone for that matter. The next encounter you
reach you are able to run away. You can get to Cyclone if you wish, but it
isn't necessary. If you do decide to gain any skills at all, be sure to have
the Wallet beforehand. It will definitely be useful to have skills at any
point in the gameplay, goes without saying really.

Note: Want an extremely truly 100% LLG? Get the Wallet first.

Go ahead and grab the two chests here, yielding you a Potion and a Power
Glove. Once you get outside, save the game and go into the AoA. Go through all
the BS of listening to this character and go train your weeble with a Hawk
Talon in 600 AD. Don't worry about the element. More than likely, you are
going to end up with a Ninja in the end anyhow. That is to say you only go to
600 AD to train, being as strength is the only real important skill he has
    apart from accuracy and speed.

    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

                    Guardia Castle

Before heading to the Castle, buy 3 potions, just for good measure. This
way, you have at least 700g at this point. It isn't necessary to have that
much money, it will just require less resets. Go into the Guardia Forest and
collect the Strength Capsule on the bottom right and the Shelter from the
bushes near the center of the map that is moving and also has drag like marks
    in front of it.

Since you don't want to get caught in this area, and like I said I will
go into more depth later as far as not getting into battles goes, just hug the
trees on the bottom part of the route to reach the Strength Capsule. It is the
upper shinning gem, not the lower one. The lower one will only have you fight.

Go back the same way you came in to this openning. You can either go
back to the left and make your way to the upper right hugging the upper trees
or you can just go straight up hugging the right trees to avoid this battle.
Hug the left most trees leading to the Shelter.

This next bush is a fight, so just keep your distance. Again, going
towards the Castle, hug the right most trees going straight up and you won't
run into a battle. Once you get to the Castle, you might as well raid the
place since you are basically just trying to kill time at this point.

After you collected these items, make your way to the Queens room to the
middle right staircase. Talk to Marle, posing as the queen, until all is said
and done. Now attempt to leave and you will run into Lucca. She will give you
the whole backstory on everything that happened and why. So let's make our way
back to the other side of the Guardia Forest and to the Church.

At this point, it's now a waiting game. I suggest just to collect
Shelters from that Kilwala Bear thing until you have let 10 minutes pass. You
likely have 3-5 minutes left to pass depending on how fast you went. Once you
do, you can either keep letting him train or just try and get that Wallet now.
The more he trains, the less time it will take to get the wallet.

You can enter any of the 3 Tiers at this point and have a chance at
winning. The monsters you fight are based on your weeble. You could fight the
Ouroboros [3,000hp] in all 3 Tiers. It just shows up more often in Tier 3. So
you can either get to 1,000g and keep entering Tier 3 until you get the Wallet
or go into Tier 1 over and over again.

Just to mention, I have gotten a Titanium Vest before even going to 600
AD. It's up to you what you want to do. Once you get your Wallet, you can move
onto the Church to get Frog. If you happen to get a Silver Earring before
getting the Wallet, go ahead and collect more money for another go at the Tier
    3. Collect 13 or so Shelters to do this.

Be sure to get Flame Thrower and Cyclone after gaining your Wallet and
possibly your Silver Earrings. This will make the up coming battle much
easier. Now that you are prepared, let's go into the Church and find Queen
    Leene!

When we first enter, you must talk to the Nun at the top left of the
room. Right after you talk to her, you will see a shine spark on the ground.
When you touch it, you will go through some dialog then a battle sequence.
You can either use Flame Thrower a couple times here or fortunate enough to
have 3-4 of these Nagas. You will always at least be able to kill two with a
Flame Whirl. I generally try to make sure to kill the rest with just Flame
    Throwers.

Afterwards, a small cutscene will transpire and you will earn Frog onto
your team. Go to the Organ that the Nun was standing in front of initially and
play it. This will open a door to the new area. Fortunately for us, since we
have this Wallet so early in the game, we can go wherever we want. So go ahead
and ransack the place! Ill put asterisks* next to anything I think you need.

Note: I am talking about the center stairs.

Some fighting tactics here would be to generally try to hit the Naga and
Vipers with either Flame Thrower or Flame Whirl. Whatever hits the most
targets is of course best. This first room here, the only few battles you need
to worry about are the Vipers on the stairs and the upper most right room.
With the vipers, just don't stand in the center, just before the base, and at
or above the base of the stairs. Hug the raillings and you should be fine.
Otherwise, just fight them. You need the tech points for Frog anyway.

As for the most upper right room. After going into the secret entrance
to the right side inside of that room, you will find your Speed Belt and
Guardian's Bangle. Just leave before they finish the ritual as to not be
caught in a battle. On the way out, you will be in a forced battle with a few
Viper. You can easily hit 2 of them with a Flame Thrower right off the bat.
    Not a hard battle.

Now going to the left side of the room, the first room will have your
Maiden's Suit and the Naga Bromide. After attaining the Naga Bromide, you will
be forced into a fixed battle with 3 Underlings. You can hit at least 2 of
them with Flame Whirl and possibly Flame Thrower. Both will kill a Underling
    in 1 hit.

Go to the room above and grab the chest next to it to get your Strength
Capsule and Steel Sabre. Head towards the center Hall to enter the next main
room. I would fight this battle, as it has 2 Naga and 2 Vipers in a really
closed in area. Your chances to kill them all in 1 blow is very high.

Don't be shy with those potions. They are extremely cheap in this
version of the game. If I recall, they cost 50g in the SNES version. They are
only 10g in this version! So drink them like water if you have to! You likely
won't use any potions before you get to the next room, since there is a save
point. By that point, your mana should be exhausted and so are your players,
so rest up when you get there.

After saving and resting up, I personally use the right set of stair
cases myself. It doesn't matter which way you go of course. Whichever set of
stairs you take, it will turn into a slide. Going to the right, all the
enemies on this side are easy enough to avoid. Hit the skull on the wall and
go to the back room. On the upper most left side of this room is an unseen
battle. It has 3 Underlings and a Mad Bat. This battle is easy enough. Fire
Whirl the Underlings and attack the bat. If you wish to avoid this battle,
hug the bottom wall going by.

Don't hit the skull in this next room. All it will do is spawn 3-4 bats
and make it crowded and harder to get out. You can do this if you want more
money/tech points, but that's up to you, of course. Ignore the sulking
Underling and make your way to the center room. Another fixed battle here.
3 Underlings and 2 Diablos. You should be able to take out at least 2
Underlings, and lucky to hit 3. To quickly kill the Diablos, use Slurp Slash
if you have it. Otherwise, just bash away. Grab the Iron Sword and play the
    Organ.

Go back around to the back of the room and enter the newly opened door.
There are 4 Underlings and 2 Naga in this room. You can easily avoid them.
Right when you enter the room, just run for the nearest openings. Believe me,
you have plenty of time to avoid these battles. Rest and save to get ready for
    Yakra.

Yakra, to say the least, is a push over. Use the 4 X Strikes you are
able to use and generally have Lucca there to heal. She can attack once or
twice with Flame Thrower in the beginning of the battle, but any later just
gets her in the way. After Crono runs out of MP, Yakra should be out around
550-600 Health by this point. From this point out, use Crono's normal attack
and Frog's Slurp Slash. Otherwise, if you think that Yakra is going to kill
one of your players, specifically Frog and Crono, have Crono heal as well.
Any attack after about 3/4 of his health, he will counter every time.

At this point, you may want to steal Frog's equipment. I chose not to
simply because well, I forgot. Besides, it's not like it matters. I've had the
Titanium Vest at this point of my last run and it didn't make much of a
difference in the end. Nothing worth noting or going out of your way for. I
also did this sloppily. Not that it matters, but you could do this with less

After all is said and done, go back to the mountain in which you came
through the portal at. If you want, which I recommend, go shopping before
getting put on Trial. You will likely have a lot of money by this point since
all your experience is turning into cash. I personally have 3,900 after this
venture. So you can easily buy 50-99 potions, some Panacea and Athenian
Waters. Those Athenian Waters will be your new best friend at one point. You
will be using them every other turn it would seem.

    I personally bought until I had 50 Potions, 5 Panacea, 5 Athenian
Waters, 10 Shelters, and 2 Bronze Helmets. Equip those to Crono and Lucca. You
can gain some skills for Marle if you feel the need to, but believe me, you
don't. In fact, even if you ran from every enemy right now, as long as you
reach The End of Time and learn Magic, anything before that first spell is
    learned.

On our way back to the Guardia Castle, make sure to grab that Strength
Capsule, if you haven't already. It's in the same area as it was in 600 AD
except in the top right corner of the section. All these battles are easy
    enough to avoid.

Now that we entered the Castle, we are being convicted of a crime. So we
stand in front of a Judge and Jury to await our sentence. When the Chancellor
asks you if it was you or her who started the confrontation, say it was you.
He will ask afterwards, was it her money you were interested in. Say no twice.
Since all the answers are the first choice, you can just turbo through this
whole thing and still be innocent. After that, just let everything go and you
will be proven innocent, not that it matters. The Chancellor wants you dead
    anyway.

Time to carry out your sentence. You can either wait it out and allow
Lucca to save you or walk through it yourself. It is quicker if you let Lucca
save you and much less of a hassle. Go ahead and grab your 6 Ethers from the
good people who believed your case. You can also drink from the cup to restore
your health and mp then also save if you don't feel confident that you are
going to make it to the next save point. Not that you shouldn't considering
    there isn't much danger.

in it, head to the upper corridor.

Once you cross the bridge, you will be in a room with a couple of masks.
You can either fight them or walk between them. To do this, you have to be in

The only reason I say he is as difficult as it is, is because this
battle is entirely about timing. It has a repetitive attack pattern.
    I believe it's:

    Head: Heal, Heal, Fire
    Body: Missle just before Fire
    Wheel: Charge just before Missle

Pretty simple to counter. This is the attack pattern you should take to
    ensure that you win.

Wait until the head heals himself
    C - Attack Head
    L - Attack Head
    C - Attack Head
L - Use Potion after Charge on Crono
    C - Attack Head
L - Use potion on self then alternate as needed.
Repeat until the head is dead
    C - Cyclone
    L - Heal
    C - Cyclone
    L - Heal
    C - Cyclone
    L - Flame Thrower/Fire Whirl
    C - Cyclone/Fire Whirl
    L - Heal Crono
    C - Attack Wheel
L - Either heal self, standby, or sacrificial lamb to attack.
C - Attack body until dead.

This should have it dead. It normally will go Missle Lucca, Fire Crono
then Missle Lucca Fire Lucca and then alternates between the two. If you ever
have bad luck with the potions and timing on the healing, just reload your
game. More than likely, the Random Number Generator (RNG) hasn't changed. So
if you were to crit on the 2nd and 3rd hit, like myself, it will happen every
time you fight him. Unless of course you spend quite a bit of time before
    initiating the fight.

You are most likely going to heal Crono then Lucca and back & forth the
entire battle until the head is gone. Once that's gone, heal both of them then
just keep an eye on Crono after being tackled by the machine. As long as Lucca
can take 1-2 hits from the missiles, you won't have to worry about her. I
think it takes 4 hits from Crono and 1 hit from Lucca to kill the body after
the wheel is dead. So if Lucca has more health than Crono and can survive, use
    her first then Crono.

will see some rock enemies here. To avoid them, go to the right just below
them, where the rat is running.

This next chest contains the Silver Sword. If you want it without having
to fight, go on the right side of the chest, just in the crevice.
Alternatively, you can just ignore it. The next chest you find is the Silver
Bow. We will need that later. To avoid this next battle, you gotta make love
to the lower wall. Otherwise, you will get caught. The next battle with rocks
is the same as the last, go below it. Through it if you feel like it, as they
ignore you unless you touch them.

Next room, hug the lower wall again. There is an Ether to the bottom
left of this next room. Just grab that and go back to the middle part. Don't
go on the bottom, there are 2 basically unavoidable battles. Go in front of
the red monster and hug the opposite wall. The next one, just go around the
Left side of the Fire Hydrant. Then you're out. You can alternatively go
through the sewers, but I wouldn't waste my time. You are going to go there
later anyway and the only thing worth noting is the Thunder Blade in there
that adds a whopping 2 damage.

Once you get to the Arris Dome, go through all the cutscene stuff and go
to the shop and restock. Be sure to grab a Pocket Blaster here if you didn't
in the Trann Dome. It only mattered that we got it by now anyway. I recommend
saving at this point. For the next upcoming boss, this is the equipment setup
    I decided on.

This boss is only difficult if you make him difficult. You could use the
Berserker Ring you found earlier, but that will most definitely spell disaster
if you don't abuse the RNG system. As you may have noticed, Marle is currently
your highest hitter, Lucca your lowest. If you have to heal in this battle,
try to make sure Lucca is the one healing. Alternatively, Crono. Keep
everyone's health above 50 if the Pods are still alive. So, attack the Pods
until they die. Ignore the Guardian as it will likely be your doom. The thing
you are worried about after one of them dies is the Amplifier. From what I can
tell, it won't do more than 50 damage.

Once they are dead, don't bother healing. Pound the Guardian as much as
possible until the Pods come back. Rinse and repeat. Likely he will die on the
second go at him. If the Guardian counts to 0, make sure whoever is at least
3/4 through their meter attacks. He won't revive them immediately after
hitting 0. It should take 6 normal attacks to kill a Pod. So to make sure you
don't hit the Guardian prematurely, count down your hits. Double count for
crits. I personally finished him off by the time he counted to 2 again. You
can likely kill him before he hits 0.

Make your way to the back room that you just opened your way to. Another
cutscene here fetches you a Seed that is required for the story. Grab the
chest and be sure to recheck the body. On your way back, chase that rat and
get the code to openning the next area. Stand in front of the unit in the
initial room that has a Gem protruding out. Hold L R and push A to open the
door, as the rat tells you.

This first battle you can avoid by just not touching any of the 3
enemies. Go behind them to get the Mid-Ether and go up the left staircase.
Getting past the bugs is self explanatory. Most everything here won't attack
you unless you touch them. So I won't go into detail on how to avoid it all as
it is so easy. In the next room, just take the upper pathways on the left side
if you want a quick dash to the next cutscene.

After the cutscene, make your way back out. Cutscene, blah blah blah.
Heal, save, move on. Going onto Site 32, grab the Mid-Potion and either try to
go to the next area or start the car. Race Johnny. The best way to do this to
waste as little effort as possible is, wait until it says there is 40-50
"Left" on the top left. Whip around him and boost. You will win 95% of the
time if you don't mess up. Move on to the Proto Dome. The first battle in here
is unavoidable and unescapable. The next one, you must walk to avoid. You only
need to start walking after you pass the stairs. I recommend walking before
you reach the stairs and until you finish the next set.

Cutscene here. Bring Lucca with you. Give the Speed Belt to Robo, the
Ribbon/Bandana to Lucca, and trade the Titanium Vest to Crono from Robo. Let's
move on to the Derelict Factory.

The first thing you do is activate the computer in here and get into a
forced battle. Finish this easy battle off and get moving. You could go to the
right side of the Factory if you wish, but it isn't necessary at all. I am
going to note them anyhow and mark the ones that you should take the time to
get with two asterisks*. If it has only 1, it is useful but a pain to get and
likely not worth your time. To get past the battle with the Deverminators is
to run in front of them and let them spider out. When they do, stop. Then
    squeeze by. Simple enough.

Another battle down here with an Acid and 2 Alkali. You can run from it
if you wish. To avoid the battles in the next room, just line the top of the
hallway. You don't have to hug it, just be near it. Next battle, hug the
bottom wall until you get to the door. Grab the two chests in here then
activate the computer. A battle is going to ensue that is not escapable. 4
Acids and 1 Alkali. I should have mentioned this earlier, the Alkali seem to
always counter your attacks. So focus it down with Robo and hopefully you can
take it out in 1-2 hits at most.

The rest is basically just fight. If you happen to have Laser Spin, it
may be useful here. I fail to remember if it does any damage to them or not, I
believe it does though. Cyclone/Slash and attack the Acids until they die.
Heal if needed. Go up the elevator before or after grabbing the Plasma Gun and
opening the door to save and heal. If you so happen to not know the code to
this, after the *Bing Bong*, hit X-A-B-Y.

Be sure to remove the Speed Belt from Robo and give it to Lucca. After
entering the door, go ahead and hit the button to have an alert go off. Make
your way up the ladder to the bottom left and follow your way back. You will
soon run into a new boss, which is fairly tough if you don't know what to do.

This battle is pretty tough without a lot of management involved. At
first, you want to heal with Lucca and Cyclone with Crono. I normally attack
the back row first. Use 2 Cyclones on the back row while keeping yourself
healed. For the most part, it seems bosses will mainly attack who was healed,
so jumping back and forth tends to work every time. If you don't heal, they
normally target a single person rather than doing half here and there. Once
you get the second Cyclone in, use Lucca to attack one of them. Then use
another Cyclone to kill off one. At this point, they are all going to attack
and likely kill either Crono or Lucca. So revive them and continue.

Cyclone the other two R-Series to finish them off. From now on, Crono is
going to be the healer and Lucca will be the aggressor, since she does more
damage. I suggest that you kill off 1 of the Robots and then get the other two
down to 1 hit. Otherwise, if there is only a single R-Series left, every
counter will be an explosion for 55-65 damage on both of your players! This is
a nuisance and is avoidable. If either player is at less than 25 health before
there is a single Robot left, make sure you heal them before attacking.
Otherwise, their chances of living will drop. You can either have Lucca heal
    or wait for Crono.

This may not happen any time soon and I may differ this later. To be on the
safe side, keep it at 9-10 and hold on to whatever else you find. I am writing
as I am playing so anything that changes Ill let you know. As of this moment,
I am unsure if I want you to give Crono the Magic Tabs or not. It will make a
difference in the Magus Fight, but as far as I know, that's all. It might be
most useful to give to Magus or Robo.

Go over to Melchiors place and buy a Crimson Blade from him and restock.
It's up to you if you want a Titanium Vest for Robo or some Mid-Potions. If
you are low on Mid-Potions, I recommend buying them. My first time through, I
didn't buy more than 10-20 Mid-Potions before I got to 12,000 BC. So you
should be fine. I have 21 right now without buying any. Save and Enter the

Note: Battles do not respawn in this place.

You will be in a forced battle with Underlings. Attack one with Robo and
Crono and Flame Thrower the other. Simple enough. The next battle you cannot
avoid but can run from. I recommend fighting. Lightning the Pot and Laser spin
will take care of this. The next battle you can avoid but we want the Magic
Scarf that is below this area. If you want to avoid it, line the top of the
area. Otherwise, run from the battle. It isn't worth fighting. The next room
is unavoidable but you can run. Use Laser Spin to kill them all. Next battle
is with 3 bats, unavoidable but can run. I recommend running. Otherwise, Flame
Thrower at least 2, Super Sonic and Lightning/Flame Thrower the last one.

Back to where we were and to the left is an unavoidable but run-able
battle. Run away, it's not worth the effort. Another unavoidable run-able
battle. Laser Spin to win. More bats, just run away. Hug the right wall to
avoid this next battle. Heal, save, give Lucca the Speed Belt if you haven't

Unfortunately, you have to revive Crono or Lucca whenever they die,
otherwise, you just won't be able to kill him in a very timely fashion and end
up using more resources. You could use Robo by himself, but you might get a
single hit in before he is ready to counter since you are going to be healing
the entire time. For now, attack with Lightning, Laser Spin and Fire. Whenever
someone needs to be healed, use Crono.

Use Lightning until Crono has no MP left, then leave him on standby. You
can fight with him if you want, which would probably make things a bit quicker
but you will likely end up using at least another Ether in the process. This
is up to you. Whenever Robo takes a hit, use a potion on him. Only use a
Mid-Potion if he just so happens to reach lower than 70 health. Otherwise,
just use a potion. Most likely that won't be the case, since you will have
Crono to heal twice during the wait for Heckran to come out of his Counter
Mode also Robo and Lucca can heal once within that time.

Whenever Robo needs it, use an Ether on him. Once Lucca hits 4 or less
MP, use one on her. From here on, just repeat the process and only use Ethers
on Robo. Once you have used 3 on him, Heckran will go down once Robo hits 0
MP. So if you think you can get there before he kills you, just let Lucca and
Crono die if they get hit hard enough to be killed. Otherwise, just potion
them and move on. In the end, everyone will have 0 MP and he's dead.
Talk about a perfect fight huh?

So, you have to get it from 600 AD, where we are going anyway. Don't bother
healing outside. We are going to The End of Time in a minute anyway. So go
ahead and save there and get ready for the Zenan Bridge!

At this point, you need to 65,000,000 BC and gain some skills for the up
coming boss. Cleave and Ice Sword are a couple useful things to have, as is
Napalm and Robo Tackle. Robo Tackle will be essential if you don't want to use
a huge amount of supplies later. I tried both already, I didn't even have to
fight and knew I would lose. You need to have a high enough damage output to
beat the upper body before he attacks, otherwise, you die. So to prepare, we
are going to fight the Nu. You can't trade in the goods you find from the
monsters yet, so don't bother collecting them. Besides that, you will likely
have enough just from fighting the Nu to get everything you need.

You're going to be using Lucca for this part, so just give her Marle's
stuff. When you get to 65,000,000 BC, go around the right side of the Crested
Sprinters and fight the Kilwala to fight all of the Crested Sprinters and the
bears at the same time or do it separately. Either way, you want all 4 of the
runners grouped so you can use Fire Punch x 2 on them. That or Supersonic
Spin. Just bash the Kilwalas with whatever. Either that or run away. Don't
heal after this unless you have less than 10 mp with Lucca, just until you
lose enough MP from fighting the Nu.

Once you get to the Forest that is past the Tents, the upper right next
to the mountain, you can either decide to Fire Punch the Frogs then wait for
the Nu or just wait for the Nu. There are 3 spots where the Nu will spawn. Go
to the right and up when you enter. Once you get near the top, go to the left
and climb the vines. Follow the path on top down and right until you get to
the end. Wait there until it rains. If he isn't there, follow the path back
where you came. Once you reach the initial vine, the second spot is visible.
If he still isn't there, go past that vine to another. Climb down and
immediately to the left are some trees covering a path that leads over the
marsh to another bit of land.

To fight him, just Fire Punch and Attack with Crono. If anyone takes a
hit, you can use a potion if you want, but from what I can tell, this one does
it extremely rarely. Repeat until he dies. Do this about 3-4 more times until
you learn Napalm, Cleave and Robo Tackle. If you need mana, use a shelter
outside. Wear a Power Glove at least with Robo here. This will speed things up
a bit. You also must exit the Forest to find the Nu again.

(During the process of this guide, I haven't healed my players on the Nu)

After all is said and done, head back to The End of Time, rest and heal
if you wish. Go to 600 AD and head straight to the Zenan Bridge. The
previously broken bridge below the Church. Talk to the Knight in Gold then run
to Guardia Castle. Be sure to grab some shelters on your way through. Go to
the kitchen, the bottom right stair case, and talk to the cook until he's done
grumbling. Attempt to leave and he will give you a Strength Capsule and some
Spicy Jerky for his men. Now head back to the Bridge.

Give the Spicy Jerky to the same Knight you talked to previously. Talk
to him again after the battle ensues to get a Gold Helmet. At this point, I
recommend you use Lucca, Marle and Crono since Robo isn't of much use right
now. Give Lucca the Magic Scarf. Napalm the skeletons, don't throw the Napalm
at Ozzie, it will likely miss. Use Lightning and Ice on the skeletons
afterwards. If they don't die, another Napalm will kill them. After these two
battles, go out and give Marle the Magic Scarf, replace Lucca with Robo and
wear your best gear, save the game and get ready for Zombor!

If I had to say, without Robo Tackle, this would be at least *****.
Likely because it wouldn't be very much possible. You can alternatively use
Lucca and Marle and spam Ice Sword and Fire Sword. This is less MP expensive
    though.

Use Lightning/Cleave with Crono on the bottom half until he has no MP
left, then use your normal Attacks on the bottom half. Use 3 Ice Tackles to
kill the upper body. Be sure that the last tackle is used by Marle, so she
loses the MP and not Robo. Her MP is useless at this point. Robo Tackle the
bottom until out of MP then attack. Keep attacking until it dies. He will at
least get to use Death on you once before dying, so just hope it isn't Robo
for the sake that he absorbs less health. Do not heal Robo at all. It isn't
necessary and could fuel the lower body so you have to hit him 4-5 more times.

You wouldn't need Robo Tackle/Ice Tackle if it weren't for Annihilation
Ray from the upper half. It will kill everyone, I believe even Robo. So you
really have no choice but to get it. With Ice Tackle, it makes this battle a
    joke.

After the Bridge, just exit on the side you're at now. Go to the town
nearby and enter the residence at the top. Check the drawer then talk to the
old man until he opens it for you. Take the Magic Capsule from the drawer. You
can stock up here if you'd like/need to. Go to Fiona's Villa and grab a couple
of Mid-Ethers. Head towards Porre market and grab the Strength Capsule here.
Now if you want, you can buy a couple Golden Suits for Robo and Crono or
whoever else you want. I recommend just 2 at most. Also a Porean Berret. You
also want to have Lucca in your team this time around instead of Marle.

Head towards the nearby Forest in the upper west corner of Porre. You
can avoid these enemies fairly easily as you need to touch them to get into a
battle. Sometimes a Nu appears and the only way to fight it is to initiate a
fight with anything else around it. Go to the Rustling Bushes and climb down
the ladder behind it. Grab the Magic Scarf and talk to Frog. On the way out,
just hug the left and dodge if needed. Once you get to the exit, you will hear
a screech. Turn towards the exit immediately to avoid a conflict. Head towards
the Denadoro Mountains, just north of Fiona's Villa.

To avoid this first battle, don't touch the birds but get close enough
for them to wake the Ogans up. Go to the left a bit and lure them that
direction, then juke right and whip around them to avoid it. Otherwise, just
run or fight. Head towards the ladder and get into 2 fixed battles, they
aren't hard so just fight them. Use Flame Thrower to burn the second one's
hammer. Go to the right of the ladder to grab the Mirage Hand.

Climb the ladder and ignore the Ogan. The next battle is unavoidable,
easy and you can run. Up to you. Next battle, huge the wall where the ladder
is and the Ogan won't touch you. Go to the next room. To avoid this Outlaw,
just go below it. Grab whatever chests are here. The one on the right has a
forced battle. Unavoidable, easy, you can run. With Outlaws, I suggest you
attack with Robo first then one of the others. They counter each time they
are hit and will die in 2 if you use Robo. I believe I've avoided the next
battle before, but you probably won't if you go after the chests. Easy or run.

The next battle, refer to the last. After getting rocks thrown at you,
go to the next room. You should be fine to avoid a battle if you just run
straight. Go up the ladder and line the left or right side to avoid the
battle. The next 4 battles you can't run and are forced in a row. They aren't
tough though. Just be sure to heal before the next battle. Next battle,
unavoidable and can run. Now, there is a small crevice where the waterfall is
to the left, around a small island. Go on the left side of it and fall of to
get the Silver Stud and Silver Earrings. Run your way back, and fortunately,
you won't have to re-fight the 4 fixed fights in a row.

The next fight below the ladder where the Outlaw is slashing at and
talking about his ambush outloud, right when you get down, hug the left wall
to avoid the fight. Hug the bottom wall to avoid the next fight. Now go be
pesky to the Kilwala so he gives you a Magic Capsule. You can heal and save in
the next area. Find the Speed Capsule and give it to Robo.

To avoid the next battle, you have to climb to the top of the ladder
when the Outlaw is away from it. Then he will scream and jump away. If you
went back down, you'd have to fight. Switch out Lucca with Marle and swap
gear. Give Robo the Silver Stud.

Masa & Mune combined are much stronger and harder to deal with,
obviously. He will only counter when he is charging his Vacuum Wave, but he
isn't like Heckran. He will use it regardless if you hit or not. So your best
    bet is to attack.

Note: After half his health is gone, his power Doubles.

Right out the gate, use Cleave with Crono. You likely won't be doing
more than 360 damage per tackle, meaning you need this Cleave to make up for
the amount that the tackles miss. Not that you have any more chances than this
anyhow. After the cleave, make sure Marle stays alive and whomever Masamune is
near, is likely the person you want to heal. Any time that Robo can be 1 hit,
use a Mid-Potion on him. Do not use more than 4 tackles before his first
    Vacuum. You will likely die.

Cleave and 2 Ice Tackles will transpire before he charges. Make sure you
use Robo's techs to use Ice Tackle, as you want him to take the hit and not
Marle. The second hit doesn't really matter who. After he uses his Vacuum, and
hopefully you had Robo at full health, revive Crono then use him to revive
Marle. Have Robo heal himself and possibly have Crono heal Robo and have Robo
use Ice Tackle. If Crono is still alive, either Robo or Marle got hit. So
revive Marle if she's dead and leave Crono dead if he gets hit. Tackle again
with Robo and on the next turn, use Marle to heal Robo and have him on
standby. Once he uses the Vacuum again, use a Mid-Potion on Robo. Then revive
Crono and revive Marle once again.

It might be just at this point or even all the times he charges, you can
get 3 hits in before he uses his vacuum. Also assuming Robo is quick enough,
which I've done in this battle with a 9 speed Robo, you can tackle, heal Robo
and tackle again using Marle. She's going to die anyway, so you might as well
get that extra hit. Just repeat until he dies. Shouldn't take more than 3
    vacuums.

Upon entering 65,000,000 BC, you will immediately be attacked by
Reptites. To kill them in both battles, just use a Laser spin. If that isn't
enough, use Supersonic Spin on them. Do the same as you did the last time you
visited. Go to the Tent at the top left of the village. Talk to Ayla and you
will go into a party sequence. The easiest way to figure out when to talk to
Ayla is if you have Marle on your team. When the party starts, talk to your
team members then wait until Marle is done talking to Ayla. Talk to Ayla
again, then your team members again. If she hasn't already, Ayla will soon
challenge you if you want the Rock. Afterwards, your teleporting device is
stolen from you in your sleep.

Now that you have Ayla on your team, I suggest getting at the very
least, Cat Attack with her. If you get Boulder Toss, that would be even
better. Before that though, we want to get some new gear. If you don't have
the resources now, you will soon enough. Trade in 3 Petals and Feathers for a
Stone Arm, Horns and Fangs for a Mammoth Tusk, Fangs and Feathers for 2 Ruby
Vests and Horns and Feathers for 2 Stone Helmets. You don't necessarily need 2
of each, but you'll have the resources anyway. Later, you can get a Shaman Bow
and Ruby Gun if you wish.

Since we are Teching Up, we need to go back to the Nu. Use the same
process as before to find him. To make the fighting go as fast as possible,
you want to Attack with Ayla and Crono while Robo Tackling for the first 2
fights. After gaining Roundillo Kick, use the Dual Tech - Spin Kick. It will
take 2 hits of that and Crono to take down a Nu. Sometimes, it takes 3 from
Crono. After 2 more of those battles, you will have earned Cat Attack and the
Dual Tech - Thunder Chomp. Start using this tech from now on if you plan to
keep fighting the Nu as this does roughly 700 Damage. If you don't want to use
shelters, return to Alya's Tent when you need to heal. I would use Thunder
Chomp - Spin Kick - Attack to kill him. Less trips to heal with.

Depending on how easy you want your run to be depends on you. You can
sit here until you learn Cat Attack or you can do this until you learn Triple
Kick, it's up to you. I personally would rather just go through the game
normally and only gain the skills I actually need for the next part. Just
having Boulder Toss can make it a bit easier to deal with a lot of monsters,
since this skill can 1 hit KO most anything early on. If you do decide to get
Boulder Toss, I would recommend you also earn Rapid-fire Fist with Robo to
have Beast Toss. This skill is much to powerful for its own good.

You can alternatively put the Silver Stud on Crono and put the Workman's
Wallet on Robo for the Nizbel fight if you feel the need, which I also
recommend. We didn't get Boulder Toss for Nizbel, just for the enemies on the
way. Boulder Toss is much weaker than Thunder Chomp.

The first chest here you can grab, the only other chest you cannot grab
without being in a forced battle is the second one, which only holds an
Athenian Water anyway. So ignore it. The next fight most literally has 1
single spot you can step on to get into the fight. Either be safe and go
around the pillar or line the bottom or just go straight to the branch. For
the most part in this area, just lining the walls will keep you out of harms
    way.

Next area, line only the top. Next, line either side. The next one you
will come up to, you can go all the way around the area and not get caught,
but once you get to the end, you will. The only way to avoid this battle is
to hug the inner most right wall. No one pixel to the left. Otherwise, you
will get caught. There's a fork in the road. Going down leads to a chest,
going to the middle is a vine to the end, quicker but a forced battle, or
going up where you can line the walls. Next area, line the walls then find
your way out. This is extremely easy to avoid battles in, so I'm not going
    into a lot of detail.

Once you enter the Reptite Lair, go straight to the first hole in the
ground. The next room you enter is an unavoidable inescapable battle.
Supersonic Spin should kill them. Otherwise, just attack until they die.
Next battle, same thing. Use Lightning then either Boulder Toss or Spin Kick.
You could just beat him into the ground otherwise or after one of those two
attacks. Fall once more and you will be in a room full of Reptites. Just run
around to avoid them. The bottom left has a Stone Helm that you can pilfer
from behind the reptite. Leave the room to the right.

To avoid this next battle, make sure to move upwards right when you
enter, otherwise, it's an automatic fight. The next fight you have to enter.
You can run if you want. Boulder Toss Bao Bao or Spin Kick him. He probably
won't die from a Spin Kick, but a Boulder Toss will kill him. Robo Tackle
one of the Mossbacks and attack with Ayla on another. Again, another fight.
Escapable. Lightning the Megasaur, Boulder Toss then Laser Spin. You won't
    even be touched.

Now rest and save the game and get ready to fight Nizbel. Before this,
you have to go through a cutscene with Azala. Doesn't matter what you say to
her, you have to fight. Like I said earlier, you can give Crono the Silver
Stud. This way, you can get in 8 Thunder Chomps rather than 4 before using
an Ether, not that you need one.

Note: If you plan to use Electrocute against Magus, don't invite Frog
until after preparing for the next part. You aren't going to be
using Frog much after this point anyway so it will save you time
if you use Lucca instead of Frog while preparing.

Now that we blinked so that Nizbel died, let's go back to Melchior to
get him to repair our Masamune. Be sure that Robo is in your team or Crono
has the Wallet again. Once he finishes that, go back to Frog in 600 AD and
show it to him. He will now join your party. Go ahead and go to the mountain
to the very easy of this island, get the cutscene and leave the cave. This
will give us use of the Masamune. Go back to The End of Time and have Frog
learn magic. Now it's time to train Frog's Techs. We don't need Aerial Strike,
yet, but it will make the upcoming battles much easier before we reach Magus.
So once we prepare, on to Fiendlord's Keep!

    '`~*~`' Preparation '`~*~`'
    '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`' '`~*~`'

So again, onward to 65,000,000 BC to train our Techs. We would be
training in Fiendlord's Keep, but there aren't enough strong AoE spells that
can be used here at this moment. We need Lightning II and Aerial Strike. Of
course, having Rapid-fire Fist is a big plus. Same process as before. Getting
Electrocute and even Rapid-fire Fist isn't necessary right now. So if you
want, you can use this time to get at least Fire II for Lucca. Otherwise, you
can just train it later in the Ocean Palace, which is quicker.

If you do so happen to get Electrocute, it would make this battle a hell of
a lot easier on you. You will not only have a decent shadow attack, you will
have a very strong light attack as well. It should do around 400-600 damage.
This is also saying you gave Robo all your Magic Capsules.

Right now, your best attack is Triple Attack which does around 500
damage. So use 2 of these and some attacks on the Nu. Other than that, this
will be your best attack until you have Lightning II and Aerial Strike. You
may or may not earn Rapid-fire Fists at this point. I personally went to 100
tech points to get it. It isn't necessary and without a Stud, you can't use it
more than twice, also if an enemy has a lot of evade, it tends to miss a lot.
Generally, you only need it for Beast Toss. Totally on you if you want to get
it. Though I didn't, I only recommend it if you want to use more shelters and
possibly Ethers than you need to.

Be sure to have a healthy supply of Mid-Potions. Without buying them,
you should have at least 25, which is ample. To be safe, if you want to, buy
    up to 40.

The first battle in the Magic cave you cannot avoid, but you can run
from it. Otherwise, 2 Laser Spins or 1 + Supersonic Spin. To avoid the next
battle, hug the right wall and just avoid touching the enemies. Next, hug the
upper or lower walls. It doesn't matter.

Now on to the Fiendlord's Keep. I recommend saving outside and healing
if you need to. Go up the staircase and to either side. Grab what chests you
can and come back. You will then see a save point in the middle of the
staircase. Go stand on it to initiate a cutscene and a battle. You cannot run
from this battle. I recommend you use either 2 Supersonic Spins or 2 Ice
Waters with Marle and Frog. Most likely, Crono is going to die right off the
bat so if I were you, I would take the latter.

Afterwards, go outside and use a shelter, save if you wish. Go to Slash
first. He's on the left side. Reason you want to is because of his Slasher. To
have Crono with a 2+ speed weapon will help greatly. Give Frog the Silver
Stud. Also give Crono the Silver Earrings and Robo the Workman's Wallet. When
you enter the first room, just run around everything. The next room where
Slash resides, is a fixed battle. Just use physical attacks on everything.

than I should have. Use Bubble Breath as it does not miss
and give Robo the Silver Stud instead.

This battle is pretty simple. First of all, if you just so happen to not
have Aerial Strike yet, use Bubble Breath and alternatively give Robo the
Silver Stud and Frog the Wallet. Either have Crono on standby for the initial
attack. You can heal during this battle only using potions if you'd like as
    Mid-Potions aren't necessary.

Spam Aerial Strike and Robo Tackle. Use Mid-Ethers with Crono if Frog or
Robo reach the point to where they can't use abilities. If Crono happens to
die by that point, use Robo to use Mid-Ethers. You shouldn't need more than 2.
If you do, more than likely Frog and Robo just missed a lot. I used 10 Aerial
Strikes and I believe 6-7 Robo Tackles with 1 normal attack from Robo. If I
had to guess, Frog missed 2-3 times and Robo 1-2 times.

Heal whomever is under 80 health first. If Frog and Crono are full on
health, go ahead and just heal Robo if he needs it. Otherwise, leave him on
standby. More than likely, Slash will be ready to attack any second after you
have a turn with Crono. If Crono dies after 4-5 Aerial Strikes have landed,
possibly even before that, leave him dead. Other wise, just follow the heal
    pattern until Slash dies.

If Crono was dead after the match, use Heal Beam right off the bat and
have Crono heal himself the rest of the way. From now on, you want to keep
Crono alive and fully healed when you can. Most of the time in this battle,
as long as 2 or more players have been hurt, use Heal Beam. Otherwise, use
    potions.

If Crono didn't die, use Heal Beam anyway and if one of the two others
need it, use a Mid-Ether. If not, have him on standby or use Cleave. I want
to say you should use Cleave as every bit of damage helps in this battle. If
Crono does die, use Frog to revive him and Robo to Heal Beam or heal him with
a potion. Heal Beam if either Frog or Robo are at risk of being killed.

If more than 1 person is hit at the same time, only use Heal Beam. If
Frog is still not fully healed, use a potion on him. Keep Frog at full health,
Crono at full health, and Robo at least > 145. Aerial Strike and Robo Tackle/
Attack as much as possible in this fight. You will likely need a couple more
Mid-Ethers during this fight. Other that that, this battle isn't to much to
    deal with.

Once Slash uses his Cleave, he is probably about half way dead by now.
Also, if he starts using Frenzy on you (Yah!), he is almost dead. So if you
want to, if Crono dies again, just keep attacking. You will most likely win.
If you have Bubble Breath, this battle takes much longer. You can still do
it, but it takes longer, uses a lot more supply, and is harder.

You can probably get away with using less items than that during the
battle, but this is what I used due to how often I missed. Also how often I
had to heal with Robo. You might end up using 4-5 Mid-Ethers rather than 5
    Mid-Ethers and an Ether.

Anyhow, let's move on. Be sure to heal and save before pressing on. Use
the same tactics to avoid battles from here to the right side of the keep.
You could fight those kids surrounding that chest for a Barrier Shield but it
isn't necessary. You probably won't need one anyhow. Besides, if we need one
at all, we are likely going to get one later on during this trip, as it is
tough to get through Ozzie's hole maze if you don't know where the holes are.

Give Frog the Silver Earrings and Robo the Silver Stud. Once you get to
Flea? make sure you kill it with Crono, as it will use MP buster on him.
Since you aren't going to be using his MP anyway, prefered if you didn't have
to waste it like that, but you must. Don't heal his MP as it will then be a

This guy is fairly easy to deal with. If someone is sleeping, use Crono
to awaken them. If Crono is, use Frog since he is faster than Robo is. If any
one is confused, immediately use a Panacea on them. Not for the fact that they
might hurt you, but because you need them as an attacking unit. If Flea uses
Rainbow Beam on you, use Heal Beam or Heal.

If Flea uses Rainbow Storm, use a Panacea as it will diminish your life
and it will weaken your power and I believe defense. Use Robo's Heal Beam when
you can. I personally had Crono die before I could do this, so revive then
    Heal Beam.

Keep Frog over 110 health and if Crono dies, make Frog revive him. If
both of them die, revive Crono first and use him to revive Frog. Then use Heal
Beam after Crono revives Frog. Spam Bubble Breath whenever you can. Also keep
in mind, if you are waiting for Frog or Robo to use Bubble Breath, Crono will
always get his turn before them. So if you need to heal, expect that first.

Flea will eventually use Flea Magic(The Look) on you. Crono will die, so
keep him dead. Frog and Robo will take 110+ damage. This counter is only
triggered if Crono is alive, so it is vital that you keep him dead. 2 more
Bubble Breaths and a hit or two will finish him off.

Note: You can give Frog the Hero's Badge or Silver Earrings.

Now that that's over with, grab the Magic Capsule and go outside to save
and heal up. The monsters coming up are unavoidable but you can run. If you do
decide to fight, use Frog Launcher only if you can hit more than 1 target. Use
of Frog Launcher starts at Robo, so it will only work with things in his Line.
Otherwise, attack with Crono/Robo + Frog or Crono/Frog + Robo Tackle, for the
most part. If you are fighting Sorcerors, be sure to 1 hit KO one of them and
use Cleave on another so that your next hit kills it. Otherwise, they use a
    very powerful attack.

Just avoid the Guillotines in the next room, it isn't hard. Next room,
just run as far as you can before you see a rolly guy then climb down one of
the ladders. You should only see 3. Now you will see Ozzie next to a crane.
He will use it if you step where one of the holes are. I would fall down as
there is a Magic Capsule and a Barrier Shield that you can get in which are
useful to have. Otherwise, fall a lot or avoid his maze.

Another room like the last. You have to fight the Outlaws here. I would
use Laser Spin or Supersonic Spin, attack the Outlaw with Frog, then Bubble
Breath on the Juggler. Run up as fast as you can. If one of those Rollies are
in the battle, they explode if you hit them, so it's just more healing for
yourself. If you think they will interfere, go down a ladder and wait for them
    to pass.

In this next room is a few unavoidable, inescapable battles. Again, if
you can, use Frog Launcher. The Servants won't die with that or Bubble Breath.
So no matter what, you have to hit them at least twice. If they aren't close
enough together for Frog Launcher, ignore them and kill the Outlaws. If so,
Cleave one of the Outlaws and Attack again with Crono and hope you don't miss.
All of them are fairly dangerous so just take them out quickly.

Next battle has 2 Jugglers and 2 Outlaws. Use Supersonic Spin then use
Bubble Breath on the Jugglers. Then use Frog to attack an Outlaw then Crono
for the other. Just hope you don't miss because they counter if a Juggler is
on the field. I say use Frog after just in case he doesn't crit. Crono prob-
ably won't be able to kill them even after they are weakened. The counter
only hits for 20 with a Ruby Vest anyway so you should be able to handle 1.

Use Supersonic in this next battle, just to ensure you can kill these
Jugglers in the next hit. Laser Spin doesn't always work, and since there is
four, you want to keep as little out there as possible.

This next room, just run on either side and huge the wall, preferably
the right side since there is a chest that you will be tempted to grab. So
do that and as long as you don't wait to long, you can run through the door
before the game processes you were there to attack you. Otherwise, I believe
    the battle is escapable.

Easy battle here. Just attack all the cranes nearby Ozzie and he will go
down quickly. Grab the chests and save on the Right save point after healing.

Note: If you don't care that Frog dies during the battle each time
Magus casts, you will have to revive Frog and Crono each
time he casts and have Frog full health to survive Ice II.
This way, you can give Crono the Silver Stud and Frog the
Workman's Wallet. You could also alternatively give Robo the
Wallet and just use a Barrier Shield or two on him so he can
                  survive Dark Matter.

Note: You are going to use Heal Beam a lot in this battle.
If Crono is waiting for Frog to weaken Magus, use him to
recover MP or health to a player. Also, if you so chose to
                  get Electo

This battle is entirely random as to what Magus will dish out to you.
All you can do is wait until he wants to hit you with Light. If he so happens
to use Dark, use a Laser Spin. Ice II, use Water. Light, use Lightning Rod. If
Crono has full health, Fire II won't kill him.

Always hit with Frog first to lower Magus' magic defense, after he casts
a spell, not before as it won't help you in any way. If Magus uses Ice II or
Lightning II use a Mid-Potion on Frog right away. Likely, he is going to use
Sap right after that attack and kill Frog. Make Crono use Lightning Rod. If
Magus uses Dark Bomb, it will kill either of them. Since the chances of
another Lightning II coming out are durastically lower, you are going to need
to revive someone no matter what if you let Frog die.

Make sure before you decide to attack that Frog has over 150 health so
he can live through Lightning II. If Magus uses anything besides Lightning,
just leave Crono dead as he is going to be killed anyway. So heal Frog and
Robo then use whatever Element he used, if you have it. If both Robo and Frog
have less than 150 health, use Heal Beam. If both Frog and Crono die, revive
Crono first as he is quicker. I would heal Crono with a potion before reviving
Frog as the chances of him using Sap are higher than the chance of you to get
another turn before he uses it.

Doing it this way will allow Robo to live through Dark Matter without
the use of a Barrier Shield. Unfortunately, if you don't use a Barrier Shield,
you have to use a lot of Ethers to heal Crono as you can't halve his MP usage.
    So pick your poison.

Note: Magus will let down his shield and stop casting all those
spells after being attacked once he has lost 2,200 health.
So a minimum of 11 turns and up to 16, if he casts something
                  that you can counter.

After Magus lets down his shield, attack with Frog then use Lightning
Rod over and over on him and have Robo use Robo Tackle or Rapid-fire Fist.
The amount of items used is completely random so I won't bother with what I
    used during this battle.

get Charm. A single Falcon Strike will kill all
of your enemies. We need this for fights after
Nizbel II. You can also use Lucca instead of
Robo if you haven't earned Fire II yet. If you

Head towards the burned forest to the north and finish the cutscene.
Then, go to the mountain next to this.

Even if you manage to get around them, you have to fight or run.

Hug the left or the right wall around the third rock.

Robo as your third member. Fly south east until you find the Tyranno Lair. I
also suggest everyone wears a Ruby Vest, for now. You can also give Ayla the
Silver Stud alternatively, based on the fight you will be in. You want to use
Beast Toss against the Terasaurs so they die in 1 hit.

Upon entering the Tyranno Lair, to avoid the battles:

Just go to the right of the Cave Ape and into the skull.
The next 3 battles are unavoidable but you can run.
Follow Kino to the other entrance.

If you choose to go right:
After exiting, just hold right. Get the left chest.
If you choose to go left:
        Same thing except left.
Hit the button in both directions to avoid a battle.

Use this map to get all the items in the next room:
               http://www.gamefaqs.com/ds/950181-chrono-trigger/faqs/54949

Next part is tricky. Hug the upper wall between the doors until you get
to the next door. You will likely stop moving once you do. Go straight down.
Now go right and go past the little openning to the bottom. There are 3 blocks
    here. Kind of like this:

     _ __
    /

Go past the first two blocks and halfway over the third. Now hold your
D-Pad at an Up-Right angle. You should reach the door without being caught.
If you do, all the battles are easy and you can run. Go in the door and hit
the right button to open the skull. Now to avoid all but one battle in the
same room, go to the left side of the door just lined up with the skinny part
of the door that looks like a pillar. Use a Down-Left angle. Line yourself
with the middle door and attempt to enter for an "avoidable" battle.

What I mean is, the only way you can get in without getting caught is if
you go as close to the entrance as you can without going in. Then if you
aren't already next to the wall, but you should do it anyway, run towards the
left wall inside the doorway. Then run up, not diagonally, and you will go in
    without fighting.

After going in, you will be able to rest and save to fight Nizbel II.
You now have 1 of 2 choices. Give everyone the best defense they can have
and revive Robo when he dies from the discharge, also making sure Ayla's HP
is full or, give Robo the Silver Earrings and Dark Mail instead of the Stud.
Since you are using Rapid-fire Fist, I recommend the former.

After fighting Nizbel II, I am wondering if she(?) is actually worth a
**** rating. The hardest part about this fight is her speed. She usually gets
in 2 attacks to Ayla's 1. If you have Beast Toss, this isn't that hard but
is more micro management than anything. I think even if I were restricted by
the PSX or Snes version, this wouldn't be hard, just very micromanaged.

Use Lightning as an openning. If Crono dies, ignore him until you use
Beast Toss at least 2 times. Revive him and hope to get another Lightning in
before she attacks him. When you do revive him, make sure you have enough
health to withstand an Earthquake but also have one of your players on stand-
by to revive Crono. If you don't, she is going to kill him. So make sure that
when you do revive, you are ready and she is using Earthquake.

Use Lightning again, if he dies, ignore him again until you do 1-2 more
Beast Tosses. Wait again for the revive for Crono, but this time, make sure
Ayla has at least 300 health before casting Lightning again. Nizbel II will do
at least 220 damage and likely attack again before she gets a turn to heal,
unless of course you have her close to/ready to heal. Heal immediately.

If you went with my advice, Robo is dead as well. Revive Crono then use
him to heal himself. More than likely, before you get a chance to revive Robo,
Earthquake will have happened. Revive with Ayla/Crono, whoever is ready, then
heal Robo. If you're lucky, which the chances are high, Nizbel II won't charge
Crono. Use Lightning and let him die once again.

Use 2 more Beast Tosses, revive Crono yet again, same strategy. Use his
Lightning again, let him die and Beast Toss 2 more times to kill Nizbel II.
Like I said, it is a lot more simple than I thought it would be, but again,
the hardest part is the micromanaging. You will be healing a lot. Use only
Mid-Potions unless Crono has 14+ HP. Otherwise, Mid-Potions.

If you don't have Beast Toss, use Spin Kick instead. The battle just
takes longer and uses more resources. Use the same method.

fight. Believe me, you want these on. You probably won't have to worry much
about the normal enemies even if you fight them.

Next area. Ignore all the bottom opennings when I say go to the bottom
wall. I only mean the flat wall. Go to the bottom, go right half way into the
wall then go up. Go right until you get halfway across the next all, go down.
Go to the front of the door and head up. That's all.

The only button you want to hit is the middle one for the savepoint. No
need to worry about this yet. Open the mouth by touching it, hit the button on

The best solution I found for Azala is to use Beast Toss as it does the
most damage. For me, it does 220+. With the 4 Lightnings that you have on
Crono, it takes around 12 Beast Tosses to kill her. You could heal Crono's MP
but I find no good reasons to. He is basically there as a meat shield and to
    micromanage.

I suggest between turns, you use Ayla's Boulder Toss without Robo since
he is so slow you can almost get 2 turns before he has one anyhow. So it will
speed things up but it will require you to heal more though, not that it's
going to matter at this point. You will soon be able to buy Ethers. Also, I
would Charm as well. Up to you, but Charm the Black Tyranno before or after
    you kill Azala.

If Crono dies, revive with Ayla and perhaps Laser Spin or Heal with
Robo. If nobody needs healing and Robo has a turn, use him to revive instead.
Ayla will be more useful as she does more damage and if you use Robo and don't
have any Ethers left, you will end up over shooting even more with a
Mid-Ether. It's bad enough you waste 6 points. Personal preference.

Otherwise, if you don't have Rapid-fire Fist, just use Laser Spin and
Boulder Toss over and over again. When the Black Tyranno starts counting down,
don't bother healing Crono no matter what his health is. He's going to die.
Just revive him when you need to. Keep Robo above 205 HP and Ayla above 160.
If you can't, just revive as usual and heal if needed.

Once Azala is dead, the Black Tyranno takes a while to take down. It's
a good thing he only has a couple attacks and is very slow. Cat Attack does
about 150 damage, Rapid-fire Fist does around the same and Spin Kick does
around 220 damage. So it's either 3 MP and 6-12 MP or 2 MP and 2-3 MP. This
now depends on if you have the supply to do it. This is before he lowers his
    defense.

After he lowers his defense, Cat Attack does about 350 damage,
Rapid-fire Fist does around the same and Spin Kick does around 480 damage.
I am going to personally go for the 3-6 MP as I have plenty of supply. If you
followed my guide, you should too. If he puts his defenses back up, you could
keep doing this or just do normal attacks. I recommend normal attacks since it
really isn't worth doing less than half damage. If you do decide to use
anything at all, use Spin Kick since it is closer to half than the other two.

No real tactic here. You can probably get 3-4 more hits in with every-
one after he eats someone before he starts to lower his defense. If Crono is
eaten, only heal him if he still has Sap. If anyone else is eaten, you can
heal early, but I recommend waiting since they have Sap and they won't be hit
anyone until he counts to 0. So heal when they have 200+ health gone or he is
    going to hit 0 soon.

I ended the battle with 0 MP on everyone.

The first place you arrive at is Enhasa. Do the cutscene for little
Magus but not before openning the book of Water at the top right. Open the
book of Wind in the area where Janus is and the book of Fire in front of
the entrance. It will open the secret door behind the Book Case. This leads
to a battle against 6 Nu. They reward you with a Speed Capsule and also a
Magic Capsule when you win. The battle is very simple to win, for sure.

Note: These are just normal Nu like the one you
fought in the forest/jungle place. The only
difference is, they try to use the 1 damage
head butt 30-50% of the time instead of 1%.

As long as you use a potion each time someone is down to 1 health, you
are generally going to be fine. Save the game before this of course. Heal
Crono first since he is the fastest and can heal more people in the process.
If everyone is at 1 HP, just have Ayla heal next then Crono again.

Falcon Strike on one of the rows then use Beast Toss on them. They will
die after the Beast Toss. If you don't have Beast Toss, use Boulder Toss and
Robo Tackle. That will be around 550 damage and 190 damage. I recommend just
Robo Tackling a separate one from Ayla and have her Boulder Toss 2 times on
each and Falcon Strike both rows.

This next area, you can do the books again if you want, but you aren't
going to need the Black Gemstone that you find here. Go find the Speed Capsule
in the upper right room, up the staircase and against the wall. Also if you
would, restock on some items here. I recommend getting at least 5-10 of the
Hi-Potions if you don't already have that many.

Next area. Scratch the Nu's back. Top right room, right room, cutscene.
Back out, middle room. Cutscene. Use Door, back out, left room, attempt to use
the Mammon Machine, go back to the middle room and open the door. There is a
Golem here. Charm from him and let him kill you. You don't need to win.

If you want to win the fight, learn Tail Spin and Fire II before reaching this
point. Spam Inferno and wear your Red equipment. Easy enough.

Don't worry about all the goodies you are going to get just yet. Go
straight to the Epoch. The sewers are really easy so there isn't anything
that I need to explain here. Nothing is hard and you already have the wallet
so bleh. When you get the Epoch, go to 600 AD first. Attempt to open all of
the chests and say no. If you don't know this, than shoot yourself...

                           Jk = Just Joking!

Anyhow.. The first place you want to go is the Magic Cave right next to
you. This is one of the few reasons to get the Epoch first. 2 more are over at
Porre, the Mayor's house. Truce Inn and Guardia Castle. Also another in the
Guardia Forest. So go back to 1,000 AD and grab all of those now. To get back
into Guardia Castle, have Marle in your party. Also visit Taban. Go back to 600
AD and get all the downgraded versions of these items.

Back to The End of Time and go to Medina Village. Go to the top right to
where the blue pyramid is and get the Guardian Helmet. Also go to the Heckran
Cave and collect the one in there. Go...

Copyright - Back to the Future!

Go through the ruins to the left and open the rooms there and use the
portal to 1,000 AD and collect the item there. Unfortunately, no matter how
you look at it, you have to walk back to the Epoch. Even though supposedly the
Epoch follows you with a mind of its own...

So let's move on to 12,000 BC again and find the Mountain of Woe!

After getting your Epoch and teleporting to 12,000 BC go north west till
you find a little hut there. The first Cave at the top here has a shop. What
we want to get is the Megaton Arm. Anything else isn't very important. So now
restock and head to the bottom of the hill. You're going to have 3 consecutive
unavoidable, inescapable battles. Kill off one of the beasts in each of the
first two battles and charm the other one for a couple of Rainbow Helms.

If you wear an Alluring Top, you won't 1 hit KO the enemy unless you've
been giving the Strength Capsules out. Once you get to the end of these two
battles, you have a boss to fight. You can either have a higher damage output
but require 12-4 MP per attack or put the Golden Stud on and have a 3-4.

Pretty simple battle. Beast Toss the Blue Mudbeast 5 times since the
Mud Imp is going to heal them. Then the red one, then the Mud Imp. Be sure
to Charm the Blue Mudbeast and Mud Imp. Most likely Crono is going to die so
just leave him dead. This battle is easy enough. Also try to use Beast Toss
with Ayla as she has the Guardian Helm on. If everyone is asleep, the chance
that you get woken up is surprisingly low and you may die.

I was being sloppy in this fight so I accidentally let Robo die then
    revived Crono instead.

Go back to the savepoint and heal if you wish, the enemies will stop
respawning if you kill the boss. If you want, you can try to kill the Rubble
for their 100 TP. The chances aren't high but you can kill them. Sometimes I
get 50% of them other times I don't get any. It would also help if you happen
    to have a Nu Arcana.

I don't suspect there are any ways to avoid battles here apart from not
going that direction. You can run from all of the battles. I recommend at the
least stealing from the Gargoyles as they have a better weapon for Robo. You
can steal from the others but it won't do much good apart from money.

For the Rubble, I suggest either 2 Berserker Rings or an Acuity Ring for
Ayla and Speed Ring for Robo. You can do it vise versa as Ayla's accuracy is
already high. Although I recommend the second choice.

Everything here has low health so you can Falcon Strike everything if
you wanted to. This is on most with the Slasher and an Acuity Ring, where as
you can use a Power Ring and the Vajra Sword. Also quite a bit of TP here. I
recommend that you get Tail Spin before going to the Ocean Palace as it is
    very useful in there.

Once you get near the end, just before the last chain, there is a Magic
Capsule to the bottom right. I sometimes miss it if I haven't played in a long
    time.

2 Beast Tosses and a Boulder Toss and you're done. If you want Ayla alive,
just use a Mid-Potion on her before she uses Boulder Toss. Still not dead?
It won't take but another one of Ayla's techs, since none seem to miss.

At this point in the game, if you aren't using the AoA to gain extra
Capsules and items, you are now at a disadvantage compared to the PSX and the
Snes versions of the game. By now, Ayla should be 20, Robo 16 and Lucca 15.
This won't affect The Ocean Palace at all but it sure puts a damper on your
    damage output.

Tail Spin to kill the Scouts. Otherwise, use
attacks and Cat Attack or Falcon Strike.

For now, when stealing from Scouts, just wear their respective element
and you should be fine until you Charm everything you need. Afterwards, move
on to the next area. I wouldn't worry much about avoiding battles here. You
can run from most everything. As of right now, I don't want to explain any
more of it since there isn't much of a reason. Unless the battle is likely
going to kill you, I'm going to avoid telling you.

Note: Later I will be adding in full maps of where
to walk so you aren't caught.

Make your way to the next savepoint and heal up. If you don't have Fire
II for Lucca yet, now's the time to gain it. Replace Robo with Lucca and have
Crono wear the Golden Stud. Go back upstairs and Falcon Strike the first 2
battles you can encounter, run back down and repeat until you learn Fire II.
You may also stay until you learn Flare if you wish.

Go to the elevator. You can escape the first battle but nothing on the
ride can you escape. First battle, Falcon Strike the 3 Monks, Boulder Toss the
Ghul, attack the Djinn then either attack away or Boulder Toss. Second battle,
Falcon Strike the Mages and the Scout then finish off the Scout with Robo and
use another Falcon Strike on the Warriors. If Crono dies, revive him.

he third Battle. Try to Tail Spin at least 3 of them. Afterwards, use
Falcon Strike on the rest if you can. You should be able to get at least 2.
Have Robo use Robo Tackle or Rapid-fire Punch on the other one. Exit and come
back into the room. Take the Elevator back up to find a Magic Capsule. Now,
unfortunately, you have to walk all the way back down the stairs to get to the
    elevator again.

Fun times... Gotta fight all 3 battles again... So bleh. Do it and move
on. Go to the left and right sides of this room and activate the switches. Use
Tail Spin to kill the enemies. The best way to get them all is to have them
start splitting then run to the door's side of the room. That way, they can be
in a group much more easily for you to use Tail Spin.

it's impossible. Every attack he does will kill Crono and Marle. I've done

You can in fact beat Lavos at this point. The problem is, it requires a lot of
preparations. Not hard, but it takes a long time to do. You have to get Lucca
to ** Stamina and Robo to ** Magic Defense. Technically, you don't need to get
Robo his Magic Defense and use the Lifeline technique as mentioned later, but
this will make it easier to fight Lavos and hell, why not?

You are already going to be getting to at least the Black Omen 15-18 times to
get Lucca up to that Stamina. You also have to gain at least Lucca to level 8.
This may be possible to go lower, level 7 at the lowest I would think, but I
couldn't be bothered. You will also be able to collect enough Magic Capsules
to max out Lucca's, Crono's and Robo's magic power, at the very least.

With this setup, Lucca will take around 180-200 damage. So if you were asking,
yes she can be level 7 at this point. I tried level 6 but she dies. Confuse
will do maybe 120 damage to her and Robo will take at most 20. The tactic here
is, revive Robo right away then revive Lucca. Hope that Robo doesn't have 0 on
his last digit and use Rapid-fire Fist. Otherwise, if you are going to do less
than 1,800 damage, have Lucca use Flare. Use Megalixer with the other person.

By now, you will likely get hit with some needles. If it's Lucca, revive and
heal her and get some hits in if you have the time. Otherwise, use Flare then
use a Mid-Ether or an Elixer. By now you'll get hit with another Rain and now
you just repeat the process. After the fight, give Lucca a Golden Stud and
    Crono a White Plate/Vest.

The inside of Lavos is the same as it is normally so you can refer to the
Lavos section for that info. Out the gate in the beginning, everyone but Robo
will die from Lavos' opener. Revive Lucca then heal her. Keep using Flare
until Lavos attacks again, twice. Revive Robo then Crono and Megalixer. After
that, spam the Right Arm till it dies with Rapid-fire Fist, Flare and have
Crono Frenzy/Megalixer on alternate turns based on MP. A good idea is to keep
an eye on Robo's. Alternatively, you can give Robo a Golden Stud as well to
prevent you from healing as much.

The second part, Frenzy/Rapid-fire Fist the Lavos Pod. Spam Flare and
Luminaire until the Center is dead and only use Luminaire if the Lavos Core's
defenses are down. Otherwise use Frenzy until the center dies. Rapid-fire
Fist on the Center Pod unless the Lavos Core lowers its defenses. Then after
that, just spam the Lavos Core with Flare/Frenzy/Rapid-fire Fist until it
dies. Don't worry if it revives, you will likely finish it before this.

want her to have better speed. Also a Silver Stud/Speed Ring. Go into the 2nd
Teepee thing and wait for the Nu to move to grab the Magic Capsule behind him.

After regaining control, go up the ladder, do the event then go into the
vents. Go all the way left then down to get a cutscene from the vent to keep
progressing the game. Now go back to where you were, go up and make your first
left. Then the first time you can go up, then your second left and down the
first ladder. That will give you Robo's stuff back.

Since Robo had the Wallet, now you won't gain experience anymore. So
let's find everything else. Use Boulder Toss on the Bytes and Tail Spin on
the Daltonites. Otherwise, Cat Attack and Robo Tackle work, not on the Bytes.

Ayla: Top left of your starting room.
    Lucca: Left-Down-Left from starting room.
Money: Out from Lucca's room, middle path up, left room.
Stuffs: Ladder above Robo's stuff. Hug the left wall then
change the path to down and hug the left wall more.
            First room.

After you get your stuffs, go back to where you came and find the Magic
Capsule. Straight right of the ladder you just came to. Go back to the room
with your stuffs chest and exit the door there. If you're lucky, you can kill
some of these Turrets. The only way Lucca is going to stand a chance at living
through an attack from a Turret is if she wears the Taban's Helm + a Barrier
Ring and/or Luminous Robes. Either that or Golden Earrings. Don't bother
unless you want skills with her. She never hits anyway.

Best thing you can do is give Ayla the Acuity Ring and Robo the
Berserker Ring and hope for the best. They run much faster than the Rubble do.
I've killed half of them at this level before, ironically. I think it was
because I had a Nu Arcana at the time.

Just prepare yourself for Dalton here. Give Lucca the Workman's Wallet &
give Ayla and Robo some power boosting accessories. Ignore this first fight as
it isn't necessary to win. Just fight Dalton the same as last time. Simply use
    2 Beast Tosses. Easy nuff.

Time to get Magus, finally. Go to the North West and onto that little
mountain. When he asks to fight, just say no and walk away. He'll join you.
Now we can go explore and do stuff! Let's go collect some crap while we let
Crono's body fester. Also give Magus your Magic Capsules, since he is the
only player that is important enough to use spells at this point.

Note: That if you want to, don't give them to him and keep them
for a different player. This way you can have a lower
ending level average. He has a massive amount anyway.

From here on, I suggest making another save. If you want a true LLG
finish, you have to beat it with your lowest players. I personally plan to
do each boss from now on with both Magus and my lower players. Ill explain
how I did it each time and also explain how certain parties can't do the
    battles.

Let's just get the stuff that doesn't require any boss fights for now.

                    The Time Egg

Actually, I decided against letting Crono get eaten by the maggots. So
let's go rescue him first. You don't have to, but I am choosing to since I am
going to be doing both lowest and highest levels possible. I could have been
doing that before, but I really don't believe you can do it lower than that
with the equipment you are at.

Anyhow, let's go to The End of Time and fight Spekkio. It doesn't
matter when you have someone as lead, just whoever is leading changes the
form Spekkio is in based on level. Unfortunately, we can only gain 2 more
forms at these levels, as follows:

    Form: Level:
      1 1-5
      2 6-19
      3 20-29
      4 30-39
      5 40-98
      6 **

As you can see, we can only reach form 1-2-4. In a LLG without the
wallet in the beginning, will allow for a form 3 as well. It's a bit of a
set back, but not a big one. Since you are required to have Magus for the
4th form, you need to use him. As for his second form, use Robo, Marle and
Crono if you plan to do a true LLG. Otherwise, just use whoever. If you use
Robo with as many Magic Capsules as he can have, this fight is really easy.
The 4th form, anyone else but Magus is really just Moral Support.

Go to The End of Time and talk to the Old Man. Go to 1,000 AD and get
the replica of Crono if you haven't already. Go to 2,300 AD. Now before we
press on, let's gain our techs up first. I find this to be the fastest way
but you can do whatever you'd like. Go to the Geno Dome on the south east
island. Have Robo in your party as lead. Ride the track over and over again
until you have everyone's techs maxed out. Use Lightning II and Electrocute
    to kill the enemies.

Note: This is good for Shield and Barrier Spheres.

If you chose to give Magus your Magic Capsules, go ahead and go to The
End of Time to get some more if you wish. The 20 you have now is enough to
1 hit KO the enemies here, but you might as well I suppose. Otherwise, give
them to Robo and use Tail Spin and Electrocute/Proximity Bomb after Magus
uses his Lightning II. During this, it's best to give 2 people the Black
Plate and Black Vest also 2-3 Rainbow Helmets. You'll likely only need 2.

If you want to use Robo and lesser players, you can do it with 25 magic
and Proximity Bomb, but I recommend getting Electrocute before you do this.
Use your other players to do normal attacks. Regardless, this is doable and up
to you. I say just use Magus and keep it quick. Oddly, Laser is a Dark ability
but it doesn't heal you. So watch out for that.

With 20 Magic Capsules and a Golden Stud, Robo does around 800 damage to
these with Electrocute. So no matter what, you are going to want a second AoE
attack. If you decided to use Magus, 18 Magic Capsules and a Golden Stud can
kill them in 1 hit. So you won't need to go outside each time to heal.

It doesn't matter if anyone else lives since even if you set it up as
best you can, the chances of everyone living are still low. So just use Ayla
to revive Robo then revive Frog then use a Lapis. Use this technique for each
    Lavos Spawn.

Total 2 Rapid-fire Fist and 3 Drop Downs.
Else 2-3 Rapid-fire Fist, 2 Drop Downs and 0-1 Triple Kick.

To get the first Drop Down before the Spawn attacks, if Frog has 11
speed, you have to hit the Tech option basically right when Frog gets his turn,
otherwise, the spawn will attack and kill before you can use one. Allowing the
battle to draw out. Use a Lapis when everyone is revived. You can do this
without Frog but all it really does is make the battle longer.

    Needles
    Bomb
    Breath
    Miasma

This is his attack pattern. It doesn't change from what I can tell. The
only way you could lose this battle is if Ayla gets hit with both the Breath &
Miasma in a row. That's also to say you don't have time to revive and heal her.

I am questioning whether or not I want to do it. There are a few
great items there but is it really worth the 1,000 hours of headache?
The only thing I can think of that could possibly make a difference in
there is the Elemental Aegis also perhaps the Dragon Tear/Valor Crest.

First, let's get that Rainbow Shell. This will make the battles in
the Northern Ruins easier. If you are going to use Magus, you can use him

Basically what you are doing here is trying to make sure that Marle
stays alive so she can back-up heal. You also might want to change your
battle speed to 4 instead of 8 if that's what you have it as. The shield
and barrier spheres only last for 60 seconds on the game timer, so the
more hits you get to have it on, the better. Even if you don't and you
trained on the conveyor belt like I did, you'll have plenty to spare. So
    it's up to you.

You also want to use Marle for Haste. If she gets confused, use Ayla
to snap her out of it with a Panacea. As long as Ayla is at least 225+ HP,
she won't die from the last attack. Robo won't die if he has a Shield Sphere
on him and full health. The only one that matters here is Ayla though. If
you want this battle to be tougher, use Robo and Frog instead. You can step
it up once more if you want and use Robo and Crono. Than again, you want that
    White Plate.

Using Crono instead of Robo or Ayla just makes the battle last longer
and require a lot more micromanagement. I see no point in beating a dead
horse, so I didn't bother. Beating it with Magus is just Dark Matter and
Triple Kick over and over again. Otherwise, use Rapid-fire Fist and Triple
    Kick.

If you want, you can get what you can from Melchior right now or wait
until you get the Sun Stone.

Go to 2,300 AD and find the Son of the Sun. As long as you have all
your Red Plates and Vests you can get out of this pretty easily. Just hit
the flames until he dies. You can also wear a Dark Helm on someone as to
reduce the amount of damage from his Dark Beam. You are also able to charm
a Dark Plate. So do the whole Sun Stone deal and move on. Don't forget the
    Strength Capsule in 600 AD.

The Prismatic Dress seems like a great choice, but since we have our
Barrier Spheres, it isn't really all that important. With the + 9 Magic Def.
and Status Immunities from the helmets, not to mention it isn't subject to
gender, that's 3 pros where as the Dress has, really, a single pro and that
is to not use Barrier Spheres. Just steal one later from Queen Zeal. Also grab
all the other goodies there are.

side quests, find another guide since I am not here to explain that. I did
explain a lot more already than I needed to.

Use Crono to use Fire Sword II on everything in here. This is a
1 hit KO. Golden Stud and Silver Stud for these two. Unless of
course Lucca has no MP left, use her to attack. For some, this
is not a 1 hit KO. So use the Fire Sword II twice or if you
can't attack more than 1, use Fire Sword.

Go to Ozzie's Fort for a Magic Capsule. You can do the whole thing if
you want, but again, it doesn't matter. I also recommend charming Flea's
Bustier if you decide to do the whole thing. You can grab all of the
equipment for Magus as well if you want to use him.

Let's go to the Geno Dome now. If you are using Robo for everything,
give him the Prism Spectacles so he can tear through everything. This just
requires a lot more healing of his MP vs using Magus. Once you get to Mr.

The only things you have to watch out for is Sleep and Rapid-fire Fist.
Make sure that Robo is fully healed up until she starts using Proximity Bomb.
After that, it's down hill. It should take 5-6 Rapid-fire Fists to get her to
that point. I just so happened to do this with a Black Plate, which made it
much harder to do. Constant micro. Don't bother attacking after that point.

Mother Brain is very simple. Leave 1 display alive, give everyone a
Dark Plate/Vest, give Robo Prism Spectacles and Ayla a Golden Stud. Every
other turn, use a Mid-Ether with Crono on Robo, Rapid-fire Fist her. The
first attack, wait for the display to heal her, Triple Kick and on the other
turn, use Crono to Attack. I used a whole 1 Mid-Ether.

Alright well, let's move on to Fiona's Forest. Gotta save the best for
last right? Just run from anything in the dungeon. I added this in after I
actually passed this area, so unfortunately, it's going to be different since
I can't remember what equipment you have at this point. Follow this guide if

All I know is, I am pretty sure I got fairly lucky in this fight. He
ended up using his Blanket Bomb quite a few times on me. Basically your tactic
here is, keep everyone alive and heal Robo's MP so he can use Electrocute.
This will do 770+ damage per hit. All together it takes 7 hits for the bottom
and 8 for the top. You could try to speed this up with a tail spin or two, but
you likely won't have the time.

Right away use a Barrier Sphere and a Shield Sphere on Robo. Try to keep
this up while healing his MP and HP using Lapis/Hi-Potion/Mid-Potion/Elixer &
healing his MP with Mid-Ethers/Elixers. Also while reviving whoever dies. So
there is a lot of micromanagement here. Once the bottom goes down, it's all
down hill from there. If you do manage to get 1 tail spin in, that will reduce
the Electrocute to 6 and 7. Probably worth it.

If you can't do it with Mid-Ethers and Lapis, use Elixers. Again, start
using Mega Elixers. If the Red Vest/Plates don't work, try a mix of White and
Red or all White. Still doesn't work? There's no hope for you.

If you're fighting the 4-5 Panel battles, just change the above from Red
to Black. Use Barrier Spheres on Robo and Ayla and leave Crono dead if you
want. Electrocute right off the bat then Charm. If you charm the item, use
Crono to finish it off. Just hope they use missiles as little as possible. If
you have Barrier Sphere on Ayla, she can take 3 hits before she dies. On Robo
it doesn't matter, it's always 2. Finish them off one by one with Robo and
    move on.

Same equipment as before, the Red stuff. Might want to charm the bottom
half. I don't see how it's going to be much use unless you need more phsyical
defense and happen to have 12 less than ** strength. This guy is really slow,
so you are basically just taking your time. Just use Ayla and Crono to back
up Robo. Make sure Ayla at least has Barrier on and 300+ health to survive the
Confuse attack. Spam Electrocute while healing his MP until it dies.

If you happen to kill the top, like I did, the bottom will just die on
its own. If you can't kill the top, than you aren't using Prism Spectacles or
you missed a hell of a lot of Magic Capsules.

Yeah, that's right. 4 battles in a row. Fun ain't it? Again, I'm to
lazy to figure out my own tactic. The tactic is mainly derived from here:
    http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/562913-chrono-trigger/faqs/40169

Nothing here gives experience, so just give Crono a Golden Stud instead.
I personally didn't give Robo a Golden Stud as I feel it's a waste. You have
plenty of resources. If you stole a Golden Stud earlier, go ahead and put one
    on both of them.

The first version of Zeal is so easy it's not even funny. Beast Toss 2
times with Robo at full health. Have Crono Frenzy and if he doesn't miss more
than twice, she should go down.

On the Mammon Machine, just wait until it uses the Releases Energy deal.
I suggest using a Barrier Sphere just in case. She probably won't die but she
may. The ones the Mammon Machine use after don't seem to be nearly as strong.
I didn't realize at first that it was going to do it again, so I beat it down
till Rapid-fire Punch did 30 damage, then Electrocuted it. I also gave Ayla a
Barrier Sphere. She got hit for 470 even after I hit it so much. It only took
me 2 rounds to beat it.

The battle against the real Queen Zeal, you are basically just reviving
constantly and healing. Don't bother healing Ayla unless you are using a
Megalixer. Even with a Barrier Sphere, she won't survive any of the stronger
attacks. I was reviving Robo and Crono back and forth for a good 5 turns
before she use something I could survive from.

Since Ayla is a lower level here, she won't survive any of the attacks.
That's why I am saying to not bother healing her as she won't surivive anyway.
Just constantly attack the face and if you have the time, which I doubt since
Ayla can't stay alive during this battle for longer than healing maybe once or
    twice.

Just focus down her head and she will go down fairly quickly if you can
    get enough turns in.

Lavos is pretty easy. All of his forms beforehand are easy enough to
handle. His main form, well you could have Ayla and Robo wear Golden Earrings
but I didn't since I only have one pair. I also didn't give Ayla the Prismatic
Dress. I found it more important to give her the Zodiac Cape instead. This way
I can give her a Barrier Sphere and she's still going to have the + 10 Magic
Defense. Robo could probably survive with a Barrier Sphere and Golden Earrings
but I don't find it necessary.

During the process, just change your equipment as needed. Once you get
    to Lavos:

So, we're done here. From here on, it seems like I am going to have to
take on my own tactic. It just doesn't seem feasible that Robo will survive
during the fights with Lavos. You might not even be able to fight Lavos w/o
Magus. Well, let's prepare for Lavos then beat the living crap out of it.

                    Magus Strategy:

At first, you're gonna die. Heal Magus, he's going to get hit 2 times.
Revive Robo, revive Ayla, use a Megalixer. Rapid-fire Fist the right arm then
Dark Matter. Rapid-fire Fist again and it should be dead. Keep Ayla on standby
to use a Mid-Ether on Robo after he uses his second Rapid-fire Fist. Now just
spam the crap out of his left arm then his face. Revive when needed. Keep at
    least 12 MP on Robo.

Second part. Rapid-fire Fist the Lavos Pod and then Dark Matter. Use a
Megalixer with Ayla then go at the middle one till it dies. Should take one
more Dark Matter and 2 Rapid-fire Fist. More than likely you will do 2 Dark
Matters, a Rapid-fire Fist, and a Triple Kick. Before any of this even starts,
the Lavos Core will have already loosened its defenses. Beat the crap out of
it until it dies. Even if it revives the other bits, as long as Robo doesn't
miss, it will die before they can attack.

                    Lifeline Strategy:

Please have Full Memory for the Cursor on. Technically, you don't need the
armor. I happen to accidentally use a Zodiac Cape and Hide Tunic. This only
happened because I forgot to change back after getting Robo's cursor set to
    Athenian Water.

First off, go to Spekkio and force Robo to have his cursor on his Items
and Athenian Water, unless you are very confident that you are quick enough to
beat Lavos to his turn. If you have 16 Speed, put Robo in the back and hope to
god he doesn't get a turn until after he dies. If he does, reset over and over
again until he dies before he gets his turn.

Otherwise, have Robo with 15 Speed and put him in the front. He will
have nearly a full turn before Lavos gets its turn. This goes for both types
of speed. Immediately revive both Marle and Crono. Robo will definitely be
hit and then someone else. Revive everyone again and use Lifeline. Two of
your players will be killed again. So, again, use Lifeline. After this, you
should be able to deck the halls on the right arm. To do this, you use Fenzy
and Rapid-fire Fist. Marle is on standby to heal/Lifeline.

Just repeat as necessary and kill of the left arm then the body. Easy
enough after the initial start. If you can't use Lifeline right away in the
next battle, heal everyone with a Megalixer and use Lifeline when you can.
First kill the Lavos Pod with Frenzy/and/Rapid-fire Fist. Best to use a Rapid-
fire Fist as it will 1 hit KO it, if it lands.

Afterwards, kill the Center Pod then go at it on the Core. Hopefully
you will kill it before it revives anyone. I had a very odd case with this..
I don't know what happened exactly, but the Core was stuck on a loop of like:

    Preparing to Revive
    Raises Defenses
    Lowers Defenses
    Preparing to Revive
    Lowers Defenses
    Preparing to Revive

Also the fact that Robo's health kept diminishing from 5-10 total over
time. As in that's the amount he'd lose. It was really weird. I think it was
the timing of everything. I killed the Lavos Pod with Robo then I tried to
kill the Center Pod. Before I could, the Core revived the Lavos Pod. I killed
it again and probably had 3 Frenzy's and 1 Rapid-fire Fist on the Center. I
then killed it with another Frenzy I believe. I guess for whatever reason,
this threw the Core through a loop.

Now that that's over, let's start doing the Dimensional Vortex!

You'll get a Beast Toss in the beginning, with a 5 Crisis, I do 6,200
per Beast Toss. You need to get him to at least 13,000 HP to win this fight.
You can attempt to attack with Crono but it's likely a rare sight to see him
actually hit. Hope that Dalton uses the element you chose for Robo and Ayla
on his first attack. If not, reload and more than likely, if say it was Fire,
he will use it again. After he uses that, use another Beast Toss. If he still
isn't at half health, he says something like, "Oh no, not again.." when he
reaches half, use a Triple Kick. I suggest you use this anyway if Crono
missed. 2 more Beast Tosses and he's dead.

You can do this with Marle, Crono and Robo but I recommend not doing it
this way. Use Ayla instead of Crono. Otherwise, you will be doing maybe one
hit every 5 times you use a Rapid-fire Fist. So use Ayla and Beast Toss her to
death. Use Shield Spheres if you want to keep Ayla and Robo alive. Same setup.
Use Blue instead, give Ayla the Angel's Tiara and Prism Spectacles. Give Robo
the Master's Crown and Prism Spectacles.

Let's move on to 2,300 AD. The stuff you want in here are the Master's
Crown, Regal Plate and the Apocalypse Arm. You can use this weapon of Robo's
with the Dragon's Tear if you happen to have it. This will grant 9,999 Damage
on each of Robo's critical hits.

For the part where you split up, just use randoms to get to the initial
splitting then replace with the team you want. Afterwards, you can put them
in the main party again. Otherwise, just use Magus. You can run from
everything except for the part just before you regain control of all your
players. So you need to fight those.

                    Lifeline Strategy

Use Lifeline right away after the Dream Devourer's first turn. Use
either Megavolt/Electrocute until it starts using Confuse as a counter attack
to all your attacks. Once that happens, wait until it lowers its defenses.
Start using a lot of Rapid-fire Fists. Of course, everytime you do that, it's
going to counter you. So make sure to use any random junk you can with Marle
and Crono before using a Rapid-fire Fist. This way, they won't have a turn
and will revive with Haste. If they revive with a turn, it will be as if they
never had Haste until their next.

Just repeat this over and over again. Sometimes it will use an attack
before you can attack it. So there will be times where your players might not
get a turn or Robo won't get his attack in. To be safe, you can Rapid-fire Fist
then after Lifeline, wait until you get hit again and repeat. This makes the
battle a lot slower, but at least you won't die.

                    Magus Strategy

Marle is here to use Shield Spheres, Haste on Magus, and heal if need
be. Likely you won't need any Shield Spheres. Starfall will do around 680-875
damage to Magus without a shield on. Around 450 with one. So to basically
remove the need of one, I had to use Golden Earrings. Also the fact that
if it uses Heavenly Peal, Magus is dead without the Earrings. Period. He
just can't take enough damage and isn't a high enough level. It does around
680, that's with max magic defense and a Barrier.

Don't bother using a Haste Helm on Magus. The 7 Magic Defense away
from maximum is very vital. With it, the first attack does 120 damageish.
Without it, it's around 340. Imagine what Heavenly Peal will do! This is
    why we have Marle.

In the beginning, keep spamming Dark Matter and Rapid-fire Punch while
using whoever to constantly heal MP. Once it starts countering with Confuse,
wait for it to attack, given you have maximum health, then revive Robo.
Use Robo to heal if you need to then have Robo use Rapid-fire Punch. Just be
sure that Magus has at least full health before attacking. Otherwise, he may
die from the attack after Confuse. Only revive Marle if Magus needs Haste.

If both Magus and Robo need MP, use a Megalixer. Make sure Magus has a
turn before using Robo's Rapid-fire Fist. Otherwise, if he happens to need to
heal or something, he might die. Once it starts countering with Confuse, make
sure to revive everyone and keep them alive until it lets down its defenses.
If there are 2 or less, I don't believe it will do it. I wasted like 15 mins
until I realized what was going on.

Each time you revive Robo, use a Lapis or Megalixer, that's all. If he
has 0 MP, use a Megalixer. If Magus has to heal more than 200 HP, use the
Megalixer. Even if you revive Robo right away, 90% of the attacks are going
to be directed towards Magus and will always be a 1 person attack.

Once it lets down its defenses, as long as you keep reviving Robo right
away, Magus will get at least 2 turns in before the Dream Devourer. So your
    turns will look like this:

    M-Revive
    M-Megalixer/Lapis
    R-Rapid-fire Fist
    Confuse
    M-Revive
    M-Megalixer/Lapis
    Heal if HP < 200
    R-Rapid-fire Fist
    Repeat

The Dream Devourer won't ever use any AoE attacks since it is on a loop
with the 1 player only being alive. So it will only use single pronged
    attacks.

    Starfall
    Life Reaver
    Dreambind
    Heavenly Peal

Out of all the attacks, hope that Starfall isn't it. More than likely he
won't die even after confuse, but if he does, Robo will be alive no matter
    what.

Well, that's all there is to it. You beat the hardest ending of Chrono
Trigger for the Nintendo DS. I also feel they made this ending to tie in with
Chrono Cross, which would explain why he has a different name in Chrono Cross.
I don't generally like his mask, but hey, you got Magus again. Not to mention
Glenn. Anyhow, enjoy and I hope you liked my theory on the ending!
