Question from brocalicoconut
I need help!!! my AMBIPOM just learned fling can someone help me!?
I need to know which items are best to use for that move that i can use over and over again... yes my ampibom is a technician meaning its weaker moves that have an attack power of less than 60 are powered up by X0.5 P.S thats my fav ability... not that it has anything to do with the question...
I have got to give props to SONOFNELAK... I just expected some idiot to say delete it but you must have worked really hard on that answer and for that i really have to say thanx for... ur my new pokeidol!!! My Ambipom thanx you too!!!
Ah yes, Fling is an underrated move in my opinion as not many pokemon make good use of it, Ambipom being one of the few who can pull it off. Here's a list of all items as well as their significance to Fling. Note that i got this list from Smogon.
The user throws its hold item at the target, which consumes the item. The power of the move depends on the item. Fling has no interaction with Sticky Hold. Even if Fling fails to do any damage the item being Flung is lost. Fling fails if Embargo is in effect for the user, if the user isn't holding an item, or if the user is holding an item which doesn't appear in the following list.
Armor Fossil, Claw Fossil, Dome Fossil, Hard Stone, Helix Fossil, Old Amber, Rare Bone, Root Fossil, Skull Fossil

There's nothing that you can use over and over but things like iron ball and mainly heavy objects work well. You cans specify because most of these times can't be bought just found. its not a horrible move but its not... uh...not a move that comes in handy often. id recommend deleting it. Just a guess sorry.
To go with sonofnalek... there are many items that do lots of damage but they are more affective used a a hld item rather than a weapon. some of them. not all. like iron ball is almost poinless. almost. lol the items arent worth the move... but do what you want. it depends on if you use items a lot
