What happened to my GameFAQs?
Why did you change things?
We created this new version of the site for many reasons. First of all, the use of modern HTML/CSS lets us do away with the old mobile site (m.gamefaqs.com) completely. This version looks correct regardless of screen size, making it perfect for phones, tablets, laptops, computers, etc. It can also responsively respond to size changes on the fly, ensuring it will look correct even when you change the browser window size. The underlying code remains the same, but it is presented in a much cleaner manner.
Other important factors include a more consistent look throughout the site and code that is much easier to maintain on our end.
There's something that doesn't look right on this new version, can you fix it?
I don't like change.
The new site doesn't work right in my old browser - how can I keep using the site?
If you're having browser issues or other problems with the new style, you can turn on Throwback Mode. We'll be offering Throwback Mode for at least several weeks until we fix up the worst of the bugs and are able to offer some new stylesheets in a vain attempt to please everybody. We won't be maintaining Throwback Mode moving forward, but it will enable you to retain access to the site until we've fixed all of the various rendering issues that multiple browsers can have.
If you decide to give the new style another chance, you can turn off Throwback Mode as well.
