Who is the greatest video game villain of all time? The one boss you couldn't beat? The shadowy character pulling the strings behind the scenes? The one the most message board users have named themselves after?

The users of GameFAQs have nominated 32 villains and it's time to let them battle it out. Starting May 1st, a 32-character winner-take-all tournament will begin, using the Poll of the Day, and at the end of it all, we will have a champion.

Your mission is simple: Guess what everyone else will pick. Fill out your best guess at how the final brackets will turn out, and win a prize. This is not a contest to see which character would be more powerful in a fight, or necessarily which character is best. This, like our other bracket contests, is nothing more than a popularity contest, so choose wisely.

For the first round of 16 polls, picking the correct game that wins that day's poll will score one point. For each successive round, picking the winner will earn double the points of the round before (Round 2: 2 points, Round 3: 4 points, Round 4: 8 points, Finals: 16 points).
