For easy reference, worlds and levels have been coded. In each level
I will NOT give explicit step-by-step directions on how to complete
a level. For the most part, it's simple. What most people have trouble
with is finding the Kremcoins and DK Coins. I will go into fairly good
detail about how to find those items. I will also tell you how to find
and complete and bonus levels. Any OPTIONAL item (kong letters, balloons)
will not be covered simply because writing descriptions on how to get
them is a waste of space and time. To access a specific level, use
CTRL+F and then enter the corresponding code.

A. Introduction
***************
This file is a complete FAQ/Walkthrough for Donkey Kong Land 2. Within
this text you will find Kremcoin and DK Coin solutions for EVERY level
as well as detailed Boss Battle descriptions. As I said before, it would
be overbearing and unneccessary of me to bog you down with every nitty
gritty detail of all the levels. I will give you what you need. And what
do you need? To access the Lostworld and see the REAL final battle and
ending sequnce, you must collect all 47 KREMCOINS. To become the VIDEO
GAME HERO, you must collect all 40 DK COINS. For each level, KC stands
for "Kremcoin", and DKC stands for "DK Coin", BB stand for "Buddy
Barrel", BL stands for "Bonus Level". You know you have finished a level
COMPLETELY when an exclamation point _AND_ "DK" Symbol appears next
to the level name when you are located on it. Also, in order to save
you will need to collect "Banana Bunch Coins" in each level. You need
to have at least two in order to save at Kong Kollege.

B. Version Information

Version .50 - January 4, 2003 - Up through level 3e is complete. Next
update will include the rest of Krazy Kremland and Gloomy Gulch.
Version .36 - January 4, 2004 - All of Krem Kauldron is complete. The
next update will include most or all of Krazy Kremland.
Version .10 - January 2, 2004 - All of Gangplank Galleon is complete. The next
update will include all of Krem Kauldron or more. ^_^

C. Walkthrough
**************

1. Gangplank Galleon# W1LX
#####################
1a. Pirate Panic W1L1
KC - Shortly after you pass the letter K, there will be a single
barrel with a stack of two barrels next to it. Hop onto the
second stack and use Dixie to float over to a Bonus Barrel.
Within 20 second, reach the end of the bonus level to find
the KC. (This BL is slightly before the MidWay Star Barrel).
DKC - Shortly after the MidWay Star Barrel, there will be a Buddy
barrel. Go past it, and you will shortly come to the letter
N. On the barrels directly to the right of the N, hop into
the cannon to receive the DK Coin.
1b. Mainbrace Mayhem W1L2
KC - Near the start of the level when you are going up a slanted
walkway with a BB, hop up on the platform to the right, and
use Dixie to get a running jump to the end of the platform.
Float to the right to reach a BL. Collect all the stars in
20 seconds.
DKC - A few levels below the BL leading to the KC, there should
be a rope ladder several squares wide. Climb down the ladder
and off to the right there will be the DK Coin.
1c. Gangplank Galley W1L3
DKC - Shorty after the Sign Post to change you back from the
Rhino, there will be a series of hooks. Jump from hook
to hook heading UP and RIGHT and jump into the barrel.
You will be blasted to a hook. Drop down onto another
hook then hop to the hook on your right. Drop down and
RIGHT for the DK Coin.
KC - This Kremcoin is remarkably simply to get ^_^ From the
same hook where you got the DKC, hop left instead to go
into a bonus barrel. Kill all the enemies within the
time limit to receive the KC.
1d. Lockjaw's Locker W1L4
KC - NO KREMCOINS IN THIS LEVEL
DKC - Near one of the banana "up" arrows which is sort of
close to the beginning of the level, swim to the left
and through the crates to receive the DKC
TIP - Tip for this level - Don't always follow the banana
arrows. Sometimes you can find some goodies if you
swim in the opposite direction the arrows point. But,
the arrows will still lead you to the end of the level.
1e. Topsail Trouble W1L5
KC - Sort of near the beginning of the level. After moving up
a few levels, you will notice a series of TWO hooks to
the far left. Traverse them to reach a BL. Destroy all of
the enemies in 30 seconds the get the Kremcoin. The coin
will appear near the start of the bonus level once all
the enemies are gone.
DKC - Near the end of the level, after traversing a series of
ropes and nets, you will come to a BB to the right. If
you go up a few levels and then use Dixie to float to
the far left, the DK Coin will be floating in mid air.
1f. Krow's Nest W1BL
When the "Krow" moves towards you simply jump or hover over
it. When it drops the egg WAIT for it to stop rolling, then
quickly go over, pick it up, and throw it at the krow. After
TWO eggs have been thrown, eggs will start falling from the
sky. DO NOT attempt to pick them up! Avoid them using what
ever means possible. The LAST egg that falls will be the
one you want to pick up. Pick it up and toss it and the old
krow!! Repeat the cycle until you have defeated the Krow. You
will receive one Banana Bunch coin for your valiant efforts.

2. Krem Kauldron# W2LX
#################
2a. Hothead Hop W2L1
DKC - From the point when you change into the spider, make
webs (press B then select to freeze the web in place)
and work your way up and to the right. The DK Coin will
be right after a bee.
KC - After you get the DK Coin, work your way BACKWARDS to
the point where there is a banana arrow pointing left
above a platform. Make webs heading left and jump in
the BL. Use the spider to find the Kremcoin within 20
seconds.
KC - After the sign post to change you back from a spider
cross over the alligators. Shortly after you will then
notice a cannon ball on the ground. Pick it up and carry
it to the cannon a little ways to the right sitting on
a platform. Drop the ball in the cannon and then hop in.
Destroy all the enemies in 20 seconds to get the KC.
2b. Kannon's Klaim W2L2
KC - Shortly after the Star Barrel, there will be a hook to
the right. Follow the hook(s) to the right platform. Use
Dixie to float far left onto a little platform. Hop up
to enter a hidden BL. Find the KC within 20 seconds.
DKC - After you get the KC, you will be heading up a series
of hooks. Following which you will enter into a group
of cannons. When you "land" on the platform, jump or
float to the right ABOVE the cannon. You will be on
a hook. Drop down and right for the DK Coin.
2c. Lava Lagoon W2L3
KC - Shortly after a right banana arrow, there should be a
sign post to change you back from a fish. Go back in
the lava (hurry before it changes back!!) and swim left
into a little nook. You will enter a hidden BL. Find the
Kremcoin within 20 seconds. This BL is a little tough.
Do NOT try to collect all the bananas. Do NOT deviate
from your main mission. :) Simply head to the right and
up (cut through the middle of the path).
KC - After the star barrel, bop the seal on the head to change
the lava. Dive in and swim. When you come to an up arrow,
follow it but swim sharply up and left. You should come
to an alcove with a BL. Avoid the enemies and swim right
to reach the Kremcoin within 20 seconds.
DKC - From the same exact up arrow as the one above, swim to
the RIGHT of the arrow, and THEN go up. You will see the
DK Coin in plain sight.
2d. Redhot Ride W2L4
KC - After the star barrel, use the balloons to head right.
When you come to a platform with a BB on it, head left
and you will see a balloon. Hop on it and float LEFT
to get to a BL. Collect all the stars in 25 seconds to
get a Kremcoin.
DKC - After the BL, you will need to float on some balloons
to progress in the level. After jumping over a bee, you
will land on another balloon. You will soon see a lone
banana. Get it, but let the balloon float BELOW the single
banana. The DK Coin in this level will be floating below
it.
2e. Squawk's Shaft W2L5
KC - Near the start of the level after blasting through a barrel
or two, you will hop in a barrel and have an option of the
direction you head when you pop out. Veer left and you will
land in another cannon shooting you to a platform with a BL.
Kill all the enemies in 20 seconds to receive a Kremcoin.
DKC - After the BL, you will head into a series of cannons. One
will shoot you onto a small platform to the far left with
another platform directly above it. Fall down off of the
platform and veer left. You will land on or near the DKC.
KC - While you are the bird, after flying up for what seems like
an eternity, you will have the option of heading right or up.
Go RIGHT and you will see a bee flying around a BL. Fly into
the barrel. Kill all the bees within 20 seconds for the KC.
If you are having trouble finding the barrel, it should be to
the upper right of the level while you are flying, sort of
near the jumping pad at the end.
2f. Barrel Bayou W2L6
KC - From the start of the level, head left and hop into the
cannon. Direct it Northwest (upper left), and fire yourself
into the BL. Kill the enemies within 20 seconds for the KC.
DKC - Shortly after you turn into the rhino, you will come to
some directional cannons. Hop in the first one, aim
Northeast (upper right), fire it and then aim directly
down, and fire. Then keep firing the cannons RIGHT and
you will plow through a bee and into the DK Coin.
KC - A little way after you turn back from a rhino, you will
notice a cannon ball. Pick it up and carry it until you
come to a cannon. Drop it in then hop on in for a nice
ride to the BL! :) Change to the spider in the level and
make webs heading right until you find the KC.
2g. Glimmer's Galleon W2L7
KC - After activating the first light barrel, head back to
the RIGHT. Yes...go BACK to the beginning of the level.
you will notice you can go further right. Activate the
light barrels as necessary and keep swimming right. You
will soon come to a BL. Collect all the stars within 25
seconds to get the Kremcoin. Your best bet is to first
go right, and work your way up and around.
KC - After swimming for quite some time after the star barrel,
there will be some banana arrows. Instead of following one
of them, go right through the crates and keep going right
and up and you will come to a BL. Find the token within
the time limit to receive the Kremcoin. I recommend heading
to the lower left of the arena. (This BL is near the end
of the level).
DKC - Near the middle of the level, after you pass a light
barrel, you will need to swim UP through some crates
into a secret alcove. The DK Coin is down and to the
right. To help you better find it, here is a little
description of the secret entrance. After the light
barrel there is a little indentation directly over it.
If you keep swimming right, you will notice an even
smaller indent in the crates, with two LARGE barrels
which are part of the scenery. Swim up through the tiny
indentation.
TIP - This level isn't the easiest thing in the world. If the
lights go out it is EXTREMELY easy to get lost. For this
reason, I recommend NOT collecting the bananas that form
the directional arrows. Leave the arrows where they are.
They might come in handy ^_^
2h. Krockhead Klamber W2L8
KC - Early in the level you should be progressing nicely over
vine ropes. You will come to a vine rope with a bug to the
right of it. Hop on the bug to propel youself to the upper
right to jump into the BL. Find the Kremcoin in 20 seconds.
DKC - A bit after the star barrel after crossing over a bunch of
gator heads, you will see a vine rope with the DK Coin
directly to the upper left. Simply jump up to get it.
2i. Rattle Battle W2L9
KC - Partway through the level you will come to some bees which
are flying by a stack of barrels. Jump LEFT from one to the
other to enter a BL HIGH up in the sky. Hop on all the bees
to locate the Kremcoin within 20 seconds.
DKC - You will come to a barrel with a banana arrow pointing up
a bit after the BL. Simply use the snake to "power" jump
by holding select. If you jump way up high you will claim
the DK Coin for the level. :)
2j. Slime Climb W2L0
DKC - Shortly after the star barrel you will come to a giant net.
Progress above the net, and to the left you should see a
lonely mosquito bug thing. Hop on it, and then bounce from
bug to bug until you get the DK Coin.
KC - A while after the star barrel, and after progressing upward
ever speeding ahead of the lava, you will come to small
platform (it is after going left on some hooks). You will
notice bananas naturally going up, but you should also
see a trail of bananas heading mysteriously down from the
platform. If you've moved fast enough the lava shouldn't
have reached that point yet. Trust your instinct, and jump
down following the bananas and you will land in a BL. Find
the Kremcoin within 25 seconds.
2k. Kleaver's Kiln W2BL
This boss isn't too terribly difficult. When it throws stuff at
you, hop to avoid it. When it tosses a barrel, break it and
pick up the cannon ball. When the boss is NOT throwing anything
else at you, toss the cannon ball at it. As soon as you land
a hit, quickly progress right by jumping over the gator heads.
Move FAST or Kleaver will slice you! After TWO cannon ball
hits Kleaver will dive at you and the move above you. You
should notice a cannon appears. When Kleaver is directly over
the cannon, roll into it to shoot a cannon ball at the boss.
Then you must VERY QUICKLY progess to the other side vid the
gator heads. Repeat the process until Kleaver is no more.

3. Krazy Kremland# W3LX
##################
3a. Hornet Hole W3L1
KC - After climbing up the first VERTICAL sticky wall, progress
a little more the get an invincibility barrel. Quickly go
back to the left and hop on the bee to jump into the barrel.
Climb the sticky wall and then enter the BL. Find the KC
within 20 seconds.
DKC - Shortly after the sign post to change you back from the
spider, you will come to a gap that you can jump over.
If you look closely you will notice sticky walls on both
sides of the gap. Traverse down to claim the DK Coin. BUT
be careful! There is an enemy at the bottom of the pit.
3b. Target Terror W3L2
TIP - In this level, jump up and hit all the CHECK barrels. Do
NOT hit the X-Mark barrels!!
KC - After riding for a bit you will notice a mosquito in the
air. Don't jump on it. ^_^ Instead, stay on the track and
you will ride right into a BL. Find the Kremcoin within
15 seconds.
DKC - A little bit after the star barrel, you will see a couple
CHECK and X-Mark barrels. After the SECOND X-Mark barrel
you must _quickly_ jump in order to hop onto a mosquito
and claim the DK Coin.
KC - Not to long after you get the DKC you the track will split
to an upper and lower level. Do NOT jump to the upper level.
Stay on the lower level and you will run right into the next
BL. Avoid the bees and find the Kremcoin in 15 seconds.
3c. Bramble Blast W3L3
KC - A while after the begining you will notice a moquito which
is by a vine rope. Hop on the mosquito and follow the rope
up. Take the horizontal rope to the left to find the BL.
Find the Kremcoin in 20 seconds.
DKC - After the star barrel you will eventually come to land
on a platform with a BB and a cannon. Sneak your way BEHIND
the cannon and fire down for the DK Coin.
KC - After being blasted out of several diagonal cannons you will
enter a cannon with the choice to either go diagonal RIGHT
or diagonal LEFT. Choose to go LEFT. Cross the vine ropes
going right and drop into the BL. Destroy the enemies within
30 seconds the claim this Kremcoin.
3d. Rickety Race W3L4
DKC - To get this DK Coin, finish in first place. Simply
maneuver around the other racers by either hopping
on them or craftily letting them fall off the track.
KC - NONE IN THIS LEVEL! ^_^
3e. Bramble Scramble W3L5
