"Good for a Gameboy and Disney Game."

Come on lets face it, not many Disney Games have been very good. Hercules on the PSX for an example. But this game comes very close to being very good. I got this game 6 years ago for my birthday and i still play it today despite the GBA being on the market.

Story 6/10

The story is not that bad for an early Game Boy game, it does however lack the Disney charm for stories. The basic plot is that a map piece was found in the mansion (How Unlikely is that). Uncle Scrooge decides to search for treasures and other parts of the map.

Graphics 8/10 (In terms of the Gameboy)

Well it is a early gameboy game but the graphics deserve an 8. Despite It running at a low frame rate. The graphics look pretty good. The Enemies look different and you can tell which character is which. This game probably has better graphics then some Disney games made after it.

Sound 5/10

This is where the game fails. The sound is nothing but annoying beeps. When the characters are speaking all you hear is beeps. For this game I encourage you to buy an FM radio to attach to the gameboy instead of listening to the sound. I turned the sound of after 5 mins. As i say this is the games major flaw.

Gameplay 7/10

The gameplay is pretty good with a wide variety of things to use (Pogo Stick etc.) You can also gain items throughout the game. There are also clocks that stop time and x-ray glasses so you can see hidden items. The controls are a breeze though and you should pick them up in about 10 minutes. The major flaw in the gameplay is the game being to easy, although there are 3 difficulty levels. There is also a lack of a save function so you have to complete the game in one go, although this is not to much of a hassle.

Replay 10/10

As i said at the beginning i have owned this game for six years and still playing it, doesn't that say a lot about it. Although it can get boring if you can complete it you will want to give it another try in a few days. There are 3 difficulty levels to add to the challenge, although they are all pretty much the same.

So that is my first review complete and i hope i have given you an overview of this wonderful game. The best thing is you can now pick up a copy of this game of E-Bay for less than a £1. Do not buy it if you have the NES version though as i have been told they are similar.

Final Score 7/10 Above average
