"Bring out the Bond in You....Sort Of."

Introduction
James Bond 007 allows fans of the famous British Spy to control their hero on the original Gameboy system. Help James travel to places throughout the world to solve many fun and interesting missions.

Gameplay
Controlling James Bond is quite simple. The arrow keys move 007, while the A & B buttons can be given a certain item, such as pistols, machine guns, AK-47's, rocket launchers, and the vast amount of gadgets that Q himself gives you. Overall, the difficulty of the game is quite hard. The first portion of the game is pretty good in the fact that the levels are simple enough, but also teach you the basic skills necessary to successfully beat the game later on. In the latter part of the game though, it gets quite tough, be prepared to soak a lot of time into this game, if you want to finish it. Also, the casino games are downright fun and addicting!

Story
James Bond 007 for Gameboy has a new, unique plot to it, unlike any of the famous movies. Yet, an excellent aspect is that they bring back some of the coolest 007 villains, like Oddjob. The plot is easy to follow, and the fact that it brings you everywhere around the world allows you to see levels that involves deserts, caves, etc. Nice flow to it.

Graphics
The graphics in this are pretty sad. James Bond does not really look like himself, but more of a big, black and white blob. The guns resemble one another, which is odd since I never seen a pistol look like, or have the same relative size to a grenade launcher. The bullet shots are just black dots, also pretty useless. Not much going here, except that the levels are done well in retrospect.

Sound
The sound is also not good. The guns have the same sounds as one another, and the background tunes are neither good, or addicting. I usually just play with the sound off; it makes the game more enjoyable.

Play Time
Since the game is so tough, you will not be finishing it anytime soon. Some of the levels, such as the market one, are so large and crowded that it will take you more than a few hours just to talk to everyone and find out where you are going. One aspect that adds to the replayability of James Bond 007 is the ''name cheats'' that allow you to play the casino games, like blackjack and red dog.

Final Statement
Overall, James Bond 007 has its good aspects, and its bad aspects. A mediocre game overall. I wouldn't really recommend buying this; though if you do end up getting it, do not expect to get a whole lot of bang for your buck.
