"GameBoy Camera: A little chunk of pure fun."

GameBoy Camera... It's an innovative little pack for GameBoy, that lets you take pictures, and fool around with them in so many different ways, it's not even funny. The features aren't endless, but sure are near endless. Please keep reading...

Graphics: 7/10

The in-game graphics are good, but the photo quality is... stinky poo. Since the game boy is such a low-end black and white machine (GB Camera came out right before GB Color was released), the picture quality was quite low. To get the best picture quality, you had to be in a _very_ well lit room, while taking a picture of the person or object, while they hold as still as possible. Now, that can give you a great picture of whatever, but the camera pushes the Gameboy to it's limits. Of course, you can take a picture of someone in a mediocre lit room, and the picture will still turn out great. The camera itself can save up to 30 images, and those images can be distorted, horribly mutilated, drawn/stamped on (within the camera, of course), and even printed! The nearly-endless amount of photo-distorting features makes up for the low photo quality, and that's a good thing. Now don't get me wrong, the photo quality isn't blatantly horrid, but is just so-so. The game even has a camera eye that you can twist so you can take pictures of other things, besides your mug.

Sound: 7

This is the most mediocre music you'll ever hear in a game, and most mediocre sound effects. Just bleeps and bloops for sound effects, and regular, mediocre music. As in mediocre music, I mean by music that you won't want to turn off the sound, but it's not the stuff you'll be humming after you play.

Gameplay

I couldn't really give this a rating, cause there isn't much gameplay... aside from the fact that the game face feature let's you put your face into one of the 3 minigames, which are ball, a slightly addictive juggling game, Space Fever II, a Galacta-type game, and DJ, a game where you get to make your very own simple music!

Overall, I think GameBoy Camera deserves an 8, because it's flaws. Nowadays, you can pick it up for quite a low price(around $10), and it's just one of those games that you can pick up and play. It's got great replay value, and it's a lot of fun, despite some flaws. I say buy it.
