"Beavis and Butt-Head is short but excellent"
Beavis and Butt-Head is based upon the hit television show, and the bumbling duo decides to join a gang to try and score chicks. However before they can join the gang, they must escape from detention.
The story is good, and Beavis and Butt-Head act like themselves. Also the story and dialogue feels like it was taken straight from an episode of the show.
The controls are solid and simple except for the sewer levels where the controls are over sensitive and the jumping is awkward.
The music is great, and the quality is crystal clear even the rendition of the theme song sounds fantastic.
Beavis and Butt-Head takes place over nine levels that begin at school and end at a prison and over the course of the game, the duo passes through several locations from the show like the Burger World. The game lets you control Beavis and Butt-Head however the game alternates between the two on certain levels.
The levels are maze like, and they are not to complex with the exception of the sewer level which is a side scrolling and platforming level. Along the way there are several objectives to complete like in the first level, Beavis has to find a note to escape from detention which he finds out that one of the students has the note hidden in their locker. None the levels are too difficulty, and all of the levels are connected.
Most of the levels are good except for the sewer level which suffers from over sensitive controls and enemies that are difficult to dodge. The worst part is that landing in the sewage water means instant death.
The graphics and sprites look fantastic except for Beavis' sprite in the sewer level where he was shrunk.
Beavis and Butt-Head is not a difficult game, and the game gives the player three lives and no continues. A password system is included, but there is a problem with the passwords. Upon completing a level, a password shows, but the password only stays up for about ten seconds so it is a good idea to have pen and paper nearby so players can quickly write the password down before it disappears.
There are a few problems with Beavis and Butt-Head. The game is easy, and it is not long. Beavis and Butt-Head can be beaten in about an hour and a half to two hours.
Beavis and Butt-Head is a great game, and the game only has a few minor issues that fortunately do no ruin the overall experience.
