"Gremlins 2:The New Batch is suppose to be based on the movie right?Wrong.There are parts that aren't suppose to be in the game."

The game Gremlins 2 is based on the movie.The Gameboy game is quite simple.(at least I thought it was)You grab a pencil that is sitting there for you to pick it up and hit the other gremlins.They (gremlins) just follow a certain back and forth pattern.There are others that ride skateboards and run you down (which gets to be annoying).The most annoying enemy that I think is well the most annoying has to be the bat.He flys around chasing you.I lost almost all my life when I tryed to kill the thing!When you get up to the boss of the first level things start to get really annoying.For instance he jumps up and down, and throws tomatos at you.You can barley get a hit off of him without getting hit yourself,but there are still some rarely fun parts of the game.Like at the end of the 1st level you have to push A and/or B to hit a punching bag.You have to try to hit it 100 times to get a 1-up.The graphics by todays standards are terrible.You can't even make out the gremlins' faces.The pencil that you use to hit them with is way to small and short (you usaully get hurt yourself!).The music is ok but every so often it starts to get annoying.Nintendo (or Sunsoft) could've put more work into the backrounds,especially the backrounds.All you ever see in the first level is a bunch of cameras.While in the 2nd level there really isn't anything to see.If you've seen the movie and played this game you're probably wondering where did that pencil come from?What about that box?(you get a box and turn invincible all of a sudden)Well that about wraps it up for this game.I recommend borrowing it from a friend,because this game isn't worth buying.
