Review by Richard Walker

"What a great title!"

Quite a while ago, my elder bro bought me Tiny Toons Adventures: Babs Big Break as a treat. I picked up recently, and decided to write a review on it. I'm a fan of the Tiny Toons Adventures TV series, but did this game match the TV series? Let's find out, shall we...

GRAPHICS- 10/10
For a GameBoy game, the graphics are totally AWESOME. They really do show a strong resemblence to the once popular TV series. All the characters are recognisable, and the stages are truly badass. I mean really, was this a GameBoy game? With a little splash of color, this could be easily mistaken for a decent SNES game. The graphics department is totally flawless, and that's kinda rare for a GameBoy game. A job well done!

MUSIC/SFX- 10/10
The music, like the graphics, is honestly flawless. I can find no problems with the music whatsoever. The theme from the TV series is recognisable and totally flawless. They got EVERY note right! Also, the other background music pieces are well done, like the underground/ceiling hidden stage music is absolutly perfect This really surprised me, it really did. Another job well done, another thumbs up.

GAMEPLAY- 9/10
Tiny Toons Adventures: Babs Big Break is a classic side scrolling mission. You collect gems to play 1 of the 2 mini games, more on that a little later. You can switch between 3 Tiny Toons characters, Buster Bunny, Plucky Duck, and Hamton(All 3 are rip- offs of the obvious Warner Bros. characters), each one has their own special projectile(Which are useless when playing the game, because you can jump on most opponents to get rid of them). The key is obviously, to get from point A to point B in succession. It's fun, with cool and animated levels, with a decent challenge along the way. The mini games, Montana Mash and Race are extremly fun and need a certain amount of gems to play in.

Control in this game is practically flawless. There is smooth jumping, smooth walking... yep, doesn't get much better than that!

OVERALL- 9/10
Tiny Toons Adventures: Babs Big Break is a fantastic, spectacular game. For me, it's not very addictive for some reason, but that doesn't take away the awesome graphics, the perfect music, and the entertaining gameplay.

BUY, RENT, OR BURN?
Buy this game, and ask no other questions. If you love sidescrollers, Tiny Toons Adventures: Babs Big Break is one for you to play. If you can't find it, simply download a ROM and experience the, er... greatness.
