INTRODUCTION
------------
Hi and welcome to my very first FAQ. I decided to do an events schedule for
this game as there are quite a lot of events in this game & there are people
who have imported the game but may be missing out on certain events as they
cannot understand Japanese. Hopefully you might find this FAQ useful.
[ I hope you do (^_^) ]

2: Repeated Events - These normally happen once a day, week or month
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Every Saturday from 8:00pm onwards, you can find a dog called Totakeke who sits
in front of the train station. You can listen to him play a song, or request a
song for him to play (It's the 2 option when you speak to him) When you go into
any of the animals houses if there's a radio or a gramaphone you can find out
the name of the song it's playing by pressing (A) next to it (the song's name
will be in brackets) now just go to Totakeke and type in the song name for him
and he will play it for you, once he's finished you get to keep the song you
requested.

Also once a day there is a random rock on the map that when you hit it with
your shovel it turns red and gives you a money bag, if you hit it repeatedly
before it changes colour you can get upto 5 money bags from it (when you hit
it, it makes a noise like collecting a 1UP from the mario games)

At 2:50 AM there is a ghost called Yuutarou wandering about, if you talk to him
he will mention about finding some other spirits in the forest, they look like
glowing clouds & you catch them in your net. Im pretty sure you get something
from him for getting all of them (Any ideas anyone???)

On the last day in every month Tanuki has a lottery in his store. This is one
of the times you have a chance at winning a famicom game. To enter the lottery
you need 5 tickets. To get tickets you have to buy items like carpets &
wallpaper as these give you a lottery ticket each time you buy them. Also you
can only use tickets in the month you got them.

*******************************************************************************

3: Misc events - These can hapen at any time
--------------------------------------------
Every so often on the message board near your house someone will post a message
about a buried item for you to find, there is usually a coordinate of where
that item is buried. Just use your map to track the item down using the
coordinates on the map and then when you get there look around for a brown star
on the floor, if there's no brown stars about sometimes there is a person there
instead just talk to them to get the item.

Sometimes you will see a balloon floating around with a present attached, you
can normally get it with either the net or by waiting for it to get stuck in a
tree and shaking it down to get the item.

Every so often if you go down to the beach you will sometimes find a seagull
called Johnny who has washed up on the beach, he will give you a rare item for
talking to him.

4: The Aikotoba password system & Famicom games
-----------------------------------------------

In animal forest there are 19 Famicom games that you can get. Famicom games
can be obtained by any of the following.

* Given to you as a present.
* Digging them up from the ground (Very rare chance).
* Winning them from Tanuki's lottery.
* Ive also heard that you can buy them from Kitsune's shop that comes to the
village every so often but I haven't seen him yet.
* And finally by using the Aikotoba passwords.

(Some of the famicom games cannot be found in the game normally as they were
only unlocked in special contests run by nintendo)

In animal forest there is a system called aikotoba where you send a password
in a letter and you get a reply a week later with a famicom game or other
item attached.

For you to be able to use the Aikotoba passwords you will need to know how to
read hiragana. If you can't read hiragana I recommend searching the net for a
japanese hiragana alphabet chart, you should be able to do it with that.

Once you have the password you will need to write a letter to one of the
animals in your village. Now in your letter you need to write the following.
All of the password will need to be written in hiragana. This is the format
for writing the aikotoba password.

AIKOTOBA<-' (Push down at the end of each line to get the <-' arrow)
OOOOOOOOOOO<-' (This line should be 11 hiragana symbols long)
OOOOOOOOOOO<-' (This line should be 11 hiragana symbols long)
[END]
