Well, well, well. It seems YOU want to know something
about Bomberman Generation's extensive multiplayer system.
Or one of the crappy little minigames. Lucky for you, you
came to the right place. I love playing the multiplayer
games, and I find that the only fault is that you can only
play as Bomberman and Max. I'm sure The Crush Bombers
would be more than welcome as playable characters. Unlike
what a lot of the FAQs/walkthroughs I've read lately say,
this isn't my first. I've also written an essentials guide
for Megaman X4 (not on GameFAQs as of this time) and an
in-depth walkthrough for my RPG, Quest for the Cube (yes,
RPGM2K). SO without further ado (is that how you spell it?),
I'll start the important stuff... right after the version
    history!;)

    3. Version History
    O---------------------------------------------------------

I really don't care to put this in or not, and I don't
think anyone actually reads these, but my friend despises
    'em, so here it is!

    Version Omega Blue(2.4) - You're reding it
    -Fixed some errors
    -Changed a few sentences around
    -Added the controls

Version 1.9 - The last one.
    -Added the remainder of everything
-Done! ...Well, the stages and controls aren't done yet, but
    I'll do that next time.

Version 0.27 - The first version
    -Started
    -Added less than everything
    - Not Finished

Keep in mind that I'm never fully satisfied with anything
I do, so I might add on at any time just because I don't
    think it feels complete.

Now, before we start, you must understand that there are
lots of options, so this mode should keep you occupied for
quite some time. And I have to type a lot!

    o---------
    4.1 Rules
    o---------
There are 5 different ways to play! Woohoo! Somehow, I
don't think you're as impressed as I want you to be... oh
    well

    Standard Battle
Game's Summary- This is a survival contest where each
player can setup a maximum of 4 bombs.
Select and play one of 8 stages!
Handicaps and selected items can be pre-setup so that
    beginners can play, too!
    ~My Summary - As that game says... It's a classic. But I
    believe it's a max of 6 bombs....
    ~Fun = 5/5

    Reversi Battle
Game's Summary- Spin floor panels by the bomb flames!
Blasted panels flip to Bomberman color of the bomb! Flip
all you can before time ends.
The panels of defeated players will revert to the neutral
    color!
~My Summary - Yeah, that's pretty much it.
    ~Fun = 3/5

    Coin Battle
Game's Summary- Gather all the coins possible!
Get coins from Soft Blocks or Bandits!
Gold coins have a higher value!
Defeat opponents with a lot of coins and get their coins!
~My Summary - SSBM had it, so B-Man had to too... It's
really confusing to me, so I tend to not play it very
    much. You'll see.
    ~Fun = 2/5

    Dodge Battle
Game's Summary- Bombs falling from the sky!
Punch or kick bombs and hit opponents to defeat them while
    dodging bombs!
You can punch and kick bombs but you can't set them up!
~My Summary - WOWIE!!! I love this game! I can guarantee if
you play against 3 CPU's for 5 minutes, they WILL die,
their only hope is if you die.
    ~Fun = 5/5
*bonus strategy!!* If an enemy gets bonked on the head, make
sure he doesn't pick up the Power-up he lost, It'll
disable his options greatly, and it works real good
against humans who like to kick and punch their way to
    victory

    Revenge Battle
Game's Summary- Throw bombs and hit moles to get points!
Aim the direction of your Bombs by pressing the (A)
    button.
Hit items with bombs to get them! Bounce back into the
game by landing bombs on the switch.
~My Summary - I find it boring, but my bro loves it... I
prefer not being in the revenge ships...
    ~Fun = 1/5

    4.2 Standard Battle Info
    o-----------------------
Ever played Bomberman before? If yes, then you'll have a
good to excellent grasp of what you have to do here. It's
a bomb or be bombed world out there, and you're the only
one who can get yourself to the top.

    o----------------------
Ah, the classic game of Reversi, also seen in other
classic games such as Crash Bash, ... ok that's all I can
think of. Wasn't it in a Mario Party? Anyway, It's kind of
like Othello, except you just have to blow up panels to
make them your color. The player with the most panels at
the end wins. (OBVIOUSLY...) Bandits will appear to be
    blown up and give items.

    o--------------------
The nefarious Coin Battle. Didn't care for it in SSBM,
hate it here. You may be wondering why. For one, it's a
lot easier to get killed when you're running around trying
to collect stuff, and 2, there are so many things to
notice at once that you'll probably often miss bombs and
get blown up. The only redeeming factor is that you get to
    blow up those damn Bandits.

    4-5. Dodge Battle Info
    o---------------------
My favoritest battle mode ever! Not sure why, but it is.
Maybe cause I only have to use one hand to play...
Basically, just like Standard, but you can't set bombs and
there are no soft blocks. As time goes by the explosions
of the falling bombs will get bigger, and eventually
Bounce Bombs, Power Bombs, and Dangerous Bombs will start
falling. There will ALWAYS be at least four safe tiles.
    Last player alive wins.

    4-6. Revenge Battle Info
    o-----------------------
The Revenge Battle. I hate it. You're forced into the
Revenge Ships and you play a big wannabe Whack-a-Mole
game. The game ends once one player/team has achieved a
set score. If you bounce a bomb off a mole, you get 50
pts, any consecutive bounces add 10 pts for each bounce.
EX. if you bounced off 3 moles in a row, your score would
be = 50+60+70= 180(I think). Items appear randomly and to
pick 'em up, land a bomb on 'em. Every once in a while a
B-Man panel shows up. If the panel is hit, that color B-
Man goes into the field paralyzed, and loses items every
    time he gets hit.

    4-7. P.K. Bomber
    o-----------------
This could almost go in the Minigame section, but... to
Hell with that. The PK Bomber is a game you play when you
win (or lose) a game in all modes but Dodge Mode. You are
the mighty PK Bomber (if you won) and now it's your job to
kick the bomb into one of the prizes behind the evil
BlockBombers. The arrow moves automatically, and you press
the button when it's over the item you want. Lose and you
get a Sandal. On the other hand, you could end up as a
righteous BlockBomber (if you lost) and you must guard the
prized prizes from the villainous PK Bomber. Just move
from side to side and hope you're in the way when he
kicks. The item gained is used in the next battle, unless
the rules are changed. The PK Bomber also becomes the
    GoldenBomber.
Possible Prizes : Fire Up, Bomb Up, Speed Up, Line Bomb,
Heart, Power Glove, Super Power Glove. (I think that's it)

    o---------------------------
    4-8. Item Switch, Handicap
    o---------------------------
These handy little menus can only be used in Standard
Battle Mode from the Stage Select Menu.

~Item Switch - You can toggle it on or off. Off gives you
the items from the group you chose. On lets you choose 60
items of your choice to put in the field under the Soft
    Blocks.

~Handicap - Self-explanatory, really. But for the idiots,
Each heart you add to a Bomberman increases the number of
times he can be blasted, so if he's got 1 heart, 1 blast
and he's toast, on the other hand, if he has 5 hearts, he
can be hit 4 times before he's in danger of being deleted.

    o------------
    4-9. Revenge
    o------------
First of all, my way of thinking is that if you're gonna
play revenge (not revenge battle), use super revenge. That
way the battle will last a little longer. Either way, revenge
occurs when a player is killed. If the revenge option is
on, then he is put into a Revenge Ship on the edge of the
arena. He can then move freely around the perimeter firing
one bomb at a time with a Fire Power of 2 across three
squares. Super revenge allows revenged players to return
to the field if they kill a player who is still alive.
Beginners probably won't wanna play with this cause it
makes winning that much harder, especially if there's no
time limit. At 1:00 on the clock, ALL revenge players will
disappear for good. Unless you're playing revenge mode ;)

    o---------
    4-10. Items
    o---------
There is many an item to be picked up in the multiplayer
mode. More even that in Single player Mode, mostly cause
    MP dumps those dumb Charaboms.

Fire Up - Increases blast range by 1

Bomb Up - Increases droppable bombs by 1

Speed Up - Makes you run faster

Safety Vest - Makes you invincible for 16 seconds

Bomb Kick - Move bombs by walking into them. Stop them
with a B-Man, wall, or the Y or R button.

Power Glove - Pick up bomb by pressing A twice while
standing still, let go of A to throw it.

Super Power Glove - Same as power glove, but hold the bomb
for a while to make it a Dangerous Bomb.

Dangerous Bomb - Blows up a 5x5 grid
*N.B* Dangerous Bomb is created with S.Power Glove or when
kicked bombs bang into each other.

Punch - Move a bomb 3 spaces with the X button.

Full Fire - Increases blast range to the max

Line Bomb - Press A twice to line up the max amount of
bombs (Negates Power Glove, vice versa).

Remote Control - Press B to detonate set bombs (Negates
    Pierce/Bouncy/Power Bombs and Land Mine).

Pierce Bomb - Bomb blasts go through soft blocks (Negates
Remote Control, Bouncy/Power Bomb and Land Mine).

Power Bomb - First bomb has maxed out blast range (Negate
Remote Control, Pierce/Bouncy Bombs and Land Mine).

Bouncy Bomb - Bomb bounces wildly when punched or kicked
(Negates Remote Control, Pierce/Power Bomb and Land Mine).

Land Mine - First bomb disappears and blows up when

    5. MiniGames
    O---------------------------------------------------------

There is a small collection of minigames in BomberMan
Generation, none of which are really all that fun, but
they're there none the less. And the guide needed some
stuff, so here is the minigame section.

    o------------------
    5-1. Bomjy Jump
    o------------------
What the hell is a bomjy? Anyway, you're jumping off a
falling leaf onto a log. Hit the log, win. Miss the log,
lose. Simple as that. I believe that pressing the A button
makes you jump and fall slower. I guess if you want to,
you can send in you best times, but will anyone care?

    o---------------------
    5-2. Motor Bomber
    o---------------------
Go zoom, don't hit rocks. Well, they are MINI-games. So
stop complaining. Hold down the A button to go, and then
move to the sides to avoid the ice-pillar-things. Again,
feel free to send in your best times, but only if you're
    proud of them.

    o-------------------------
    5-3. Bomber Marathon
    o-------------------------
Things are finally starting to pick up. Now you have to
race around a circle, dodging rocks, and hitting switches,
all with a huge boulder chasing you. Tap A repeatedly to
run. That's not gonna work alone though. No, no, no, you
have to hit the first switch to acquire a bomb. That bomb
can be used for 2 things, slowing the boulder and hitting
the 2nd switch. Guess what you're gonna do. Mostly keep
using the bombs until you're right behind the boulder,
then go for the switch. Not too hard once you know what
you're doing. If there's a best times thing for this game
too, don't hesitate to send yours in if you want to.

    o------------------
    5-4. Rail Bomber
    o------------------
    I. Hate. This. Game. It's almost hard, but mostly
frustrating. You're in a mine cart, going down a track
littered with rocks and junctions. You have to blow up the
rocks, and hit the switches with your bombs. Failing to do
so will result in death. Getting hit by an explosion will
also result in death. The trick is that pressing the
control stick in ANY direction will make you go forward
faster. So let go of the Stick when you want to stop,
pressing back will kill you. Make it to the end, and win.
Once more, if there's a best time for this game, send 'em
    over.

    6. Secrets
    O---------------------------------------------------------

    Secrets? What secrets?

~Play as Max in multiplayer - Find all the Lightning cards
    in 1P mode.
~Item set A/B - Complete the game once
~Mini Game Option - Find all Charabombs

Those aren't all that secret. Or rewarding.

    O---------------------------------------------------------
    7. Controls
    O---------------------------------------------------------

These are how you move Bomberman around and make him do
stuff. Keep in mind that this is mostly for Battle Mode.
The mini-games have their own control schemes, but they're
generally pretty similar to what's shown here.

Control Stick - Move in direction pressed/Kick a bomb
Control Pad - Move in direction pressed/Kick a bomb
L Button - Used in setting up items
    R Button - Stop a kicked bomb
    Start/Pause - Pause the game
C Stick - Change overhead view before match starts
    A Button - Set a bomb/line bomb, pick up/throw a bomb
B Button - Speed up in Revenge Battle
    Y Button - Stop a kicked bomb
    X Button - Punch stuff(only affects bombs)
    Z button - Nothing?

What else can I say? I like pie.

    E-Mail Policy -
Please don't Spam me. Only send
comment/criticism, best times for the mini games, and any
errors/spelling mistakes that you might find. If you do E-
mail me, put BomberGen or something of the like in the
subject line. I have a tendency to delete everything that
    doesn't spark an interest immediately.

    Legal -
Umm. this is MY FAQ thing. Please don't steal
and/or take credit for it. I can't really stop you, but I
don't want somebody else taking credit for my work, unless
I do somebody else's work voluntarily, but that's another
story. I'd prefer if you asked me if you want to put this
FAQ on your site. If you want to print it, go ahead, just
don't sell it! Why should you make money from my hard
work? Oh well. Yakety yakety blah blah blah. You get the
    point. Be nice.
