"What's next? Sorry! Party?"

Wow, video games are getting really sad and depressing. How could anybody recreate a board game into a video game? They don't mix and they never will. Monopoly Party is a clear example of why you shall never set foot on rushed video games ever again.

Graphics: 3/10

The graphics are plain and bland. They combine no texture and barely have enough detail in them. Basically, they're renovated pixel art. You can photoshop better than this, I swear. It's so low, that I think that my eyes create better graphics in the board game than this.

Gameplay: 4/10

Hey, Monopoly has always been a favorite board game of mine, but I'm considering that when I played this game. Not that it's bad, but the real fun is taken out of it, when you OWN your family members at it on a Friday night. The feeling isn't right, although it's practically the same thing. I just don't like it for some strange reason. If you're not familiar with Monopoly, then first, I'd be very surprised. But anyway, basically, you go around a board collecting properties and money. You try bankrupting other players using various techniques. You can also trade properties at any time. Very basic, but fun if only Atari added more special features.

Sound/Music: 1/10

God, I hate that annoying music that plays over and over again until you want to literally throw your GameCube out the window. It's horrible, and the sound doesn't get much better than that. The only sound I actually notice is the moving of the board tokens. They might be better off just skipping the sound and music.

This game could most definitely turn out to be a successful and thriving game if Atari decides to add more bonus features and modes. The problem is that it's repetitive and that it's just a caricature of the actual game, which is much more fun than this, anyway. Don't think of buying or renting this game.
