I. Updates
************************************

Version 0.9: 6.18.2006
It's been more than two years since the last update, but I got bored.  I
completed the Abattoir mission and fixed up the guide a bit.  Nothing major,
though.  I just revised the Copyright Info and reworded some stuff.  And I just
realized that Mission 2 said "Police Training" instead of "Police Station," so
I fixed that.

Version 0.82: 5.19.2004
I did some spell checking today.  I had quite a few errors.  I have finally 
come to realize that "Walkthrough" at the top of the page was spelt wrong all 
this time.  I'm so ashamed.  Anyway, I've decided to keep my FAQ and future 
FAQs on faqs.ign.com.  As one of the people said at IGN said, they "don't give 
a flying fork" on the format.  Just as long as it's neat and such.  You know, 
the basics.  I changed a part of the Questions/Comments section regarding IGN.
Also, I made a tiny change to the Copyright Info section.  Nothing big.  I just
moved the sites down a line.

Version 0.81: 5.18.04
I've added more to the 9th mission, Abattoir.  It's coming along quite nicely.
I had to fix a few bugs in the FAQ today.  Notepad didn't feel like cooperating
with me.  Also, I think I may have to take this guide off of IGN, because this
guide is within the standards of GameFAQs, which requires guides to be at a
max of 80 CPL (Characters Per Line), which is what this guide is.  IGN, though,
requires 79 CPL, which, I'm not gonna spend hours just to move one character
down a line.  I'll try making a deal with them or something.  But, then again,
how'd my guide make it on their site in the first place?  Oh well.  Another
thing I've fixed is the first mission (Training) to make it have the same
layout as the rest of the guide.  I also added something to the
Questions/Comments section.

Version 0.8: 5.18.04
Well, it's been over a year since I started my guide.  I've finally been able
to get around to doing it again.  Some new things may take place.  I dunno
exactly what, but I'll figure it out.  For one, I finished Chinese Embassy I.
Though I originally finished that part a while ago, my computer had to be 
formatted, so I got screwed.  Anyway, I also added some tidbits to the 
Questions/Comments section, some more stuff to "Just A Few Notes Before You 
Play," and an addition to the Copyright Info section.  I hope to add the
contributions I have received over the past few months to this guide.

Version 0.72: 11.19.03
It's been a long time coming, and I got a few e-mails asking, "When are you
going to update your FAQ?"  Well, today, I decided to pop Splinter Cell back
into my PS2, because, well, I finally got the game back from my cousin... but
that was back in September.  And recently, quite a few good games have come
out, so it was harder for me to do this.  Anyway, I'm taking a break from
SOCOM II to help all those people out there who need it.  I added some of the
first Chinese Embassy to the FAQ.  I also added a not about the missions to
the Nuclear Power Plant mission.  I deleted a contribution made by 
Blak Majik because it really didn't fit with my FAQ.  I'm trying to make
one that involves no killing whatsoever.  I also took out a site where you can
find my FAQ under the "Copyright Info" section.  It seems that the page did
not exist anymore.  I know there are other sites that have my FAQ, but I forgot
which ones...  If you see one, tell me please.  I changed my homepage too.

Version 0.711: 8.27.03
First update in a while, but nothing big.  I just changed my e-mail address.  
I can't update the damn FAQ with more of the Walkthrough because, stupid me, I 
went to my cousin's house and we started playing there, then all of a sudden, 
BOOM!  That damn blackout hit, and the game was stuck in his PS2.  I left 
before I could get it out, so now it's still at his house and I am without 
+Splinter Cell.

I finally continued my FAQ and finished the Power Plant mission.  I also added

I've updated the way my version system works.  Instead of putting my version
up by one whole number after I finished a mission, I'll just put it up by 0.1
or whatever.  When I finish the FAQ, then I will make it 1.0 or whatever.
Other than that, nothing has changed.

II. Just A Few Notes Before You Play
************************************
If you have the manual, I suggest you look at it to get some of the moves down 
so you can understand and use them in the game when needed.  Also, you should
check to see if there are any contributions in the part you are on in the game,
incase there is an easier way to do something.  Also note that some mission
objectives and the "DO NOTs" may change throughout each level.  You must also 
check your goals/notes/data every time you see an icon above your stealth 
meter.  Also, you should just read a little bit ahead of where you currently 
are, just incase there is an easier way to do something, like I said before 
with the contributions.  Your game may also be different from mine, so if I say
something that happened in my game but not yours, then try and do it
yourself, and I would appreciate it if you sent your strategy to me, so I can
post it as a contribution for everyone to see.  Check back here after every
update.

Another note I want to make is about some questions I get.  Everything I know
is stated in this guide.  Please read on down to the Questions/Comments 
section for questions I normally get.  Also, for contributors, I'm only
excepting contributions that DO NOT INVOLVE KILLING!  Please, when you do send
in contributions, make sure it's understandable, and in English.  If I can't
understand what you're trying to tell me, I'll send an e-mail back, asking you
to revise your strategy.  I know that you all might get a little excited
writing to me, but please, make sure I can understand it.  Take it to an
English professor if you have to.

When sending in contributions and questions, please tell me which section of 
the guide you're having trouble with, so it's easier for me to know what
you're talking about.  Read on down to the Questions/Comments for an example.

III. Let's Start Playing
************************************

1.  CIA TRAINING FARM, Camp Peary, Virginia: 
    October 7, 2004, 06:01 hours

MISSION BRIEFING: 
Prove that you are the right man for the job.  As agent Sam Fisher, you have 
been recruited to spearhead the operational arm of the National Security 
Agency's Third Echelon initiative.  Before being sent into the field on a 
mission to recover agents Madison and Baustein, you must demonstrate that you 
possess the skills to undertake dangerous and covert solo missions.

1.1 Look for the lights: This is very easy.  First, look to your left for the 
    red light, then right, then up, then down.  Simple enough.

1.2 Climb the wall: This is also simple.  First, go up to the left or right 
    side of the ditch, where the yellow arrows are, and press Triangle and jump
    onto the wall.  Sam will automatically grab on.  Shimmy to the to the 
    opening while still hanging, and once you get to the opening, climb up and 
    continue.

1.3 Go through the obstacle course: Once you jump down from the wall in 
    obj. 2, go right to where the ladder is.  Simply press up on the left 
    analog and you will climb up.  Once you reach the top, go underneath the 
    rope and jump.  Sam will grab on and do a zip line.  After that, go to the 
    pipe by the arrow and simply press down and he will slide down it.  To get 
    under the barb wires, simple press Circle to crouch down and walk right 
    under.  Press Circle again to stand back up.  Next is the split jump.  
    Jumped towards any side of the wall with the arrows pointing to them.  When
    you hit the wall, press and hold triangle until Sam does the split.  The 
    hand-over-hand of the pipe is next.  Just jump when under the pipe, and Sam
    grabs onto it.  To help conceal yourself better, or to get into small 
    spaces, press Circle while on the pipe, and Sam will put up his feet.  The 
    next task is climbing a fence.  It's just like climbing the pole/latter.  
    Walk up to it and climb up it.  Now Sam has to get into a small space 
    between walls.  just go up to the wall on the right (when facing the small 
    space) and press L3 to back up against it, and walk right in.  To exit this
    mode when in a big enough space, press L3 again.  After that, climb up the 
    pole and then down the latter.  This next part my be a little tricky, but 
    still fairly easy.  Just do what you did to do the split jump, and you will
    make it.  Climb over the wall and into the door.

1.4 Open the door: Simply open the door by pressing X when near it.  To open it
    stealthily, press Left while opening the door.  Press Up to open the door 
    completely.

1.5 Use the lock pick: Go to the next door and select "Lock Pick".  Use the 
    Left Analog to pick it by rotating it.  When you hear a click, wiggle the 
    stick in that area it is in until you push up the first pin.  Do this until
    the door is open.

1.6 Interrogation: To interrogate, sneak up behind someone that may have useful
    information, but be sure not to touch them and make the least noise as 
    possible.  The best way to grab someone is to crouch (Circle) and sneak up 
    slowly behind them.  When the option "Grab Character" appears, press X and 
    grab him.  Select the interrogate option, and when you are finished, knock 
    him out with R1.  Use the code he gave you (28469, but it may be different 
    in other games, but this is the one I have) and punch in the numbers into 
    the keypad.

1.7 Retinal Scan: Do pretty much what you did with the interrogation, but this 
    time you drag the person over to the retinal scanner and let it scan the 
    enemy's eyes.  Knock him out when you are done.

1.8 Shooting the lights: Equip your weapon using the R2 button.  Shoot out both
    of the lights using R1 and make your way through the door to the next room.
    You might have to equip your night-vision goggles to see the door, so press
    Left D-pad to put it on and take it off.  To de-equip your gun, press R2 
    again.

*CHECK POINT*

1.9 Shoot the camera: Equip your weapon again, but this time, shoot out the 
    camera.  This camera is unprotected.  Others, like the one in the next 
    room, have armor covering them.  Make your way to the next room.

1.10 Stay hidden from the camera: You have to use the shadows to get passed 
     this, since there are no lights to shoot, and the camera is covered in 
     armor.  When the camera is looking to its right, run and crouch in front 
     of the green box that is there.  Next, when the camera is facing right 
     again, run for the middle shadow.  When the camera is looking to it's 
     left, make a run for the door.   Continue to the next room.

*CHECK POINT*

1.11 Knock out the guard and hide him: Sneak up behind the guard on the right 
     and knock him out with R1.  Drag him using the X button into the shadows 
     around the wall.  Drop the guard in the shadows and stay there until the 
     other guard that comes is done checking the area.  You can also go into 
     the room the other guard went into and knock him out also, but I don't 
     think you have to.

1.12 Don't make a sound: Couch down and walk as slowly as possible.  Fall onto 
     the bottom platform, and then climb up on the next 2.  You might want to 
     put your back to the wall to pass the chains, so press R3.  When you pass 
     the second chain, got off the wall and go around the third chain while 
     crouching down.  Still, going as slow as possible, make your way across 
     the ice or whatever it is, and make it to the door.

***CONGRATS! YOU PASSED THE TRAINING AND THE FIRST MISSION***

2.  T'Bilisi Old Town, T'Bilisi, Georgia:
    October 16, 2004, 20:01 hours
                                                                               
MISSION BRIEFING:
Locate CIA agents Blaustien and Madison.  Agent Alison Madison covertly in the
Georgian political arena for two years, securing a role in President
Nikoladze's cabinet after his coup d'etat.  Special agent Robert Blaustein was
also in Georgia.  They both vanished on October 11.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
2.1 Rendezvous with local NSA informant Thomas Gurgendize for information on
    Blaustein's area of operation.
2.2 Find the black box hidden in Blaustein's apartment.
2.3 Find Gurgenidze's dead drop in Morevi Square to figure out how to get into
    the Police Precinct.
2.4 Locate Agent Blaustein in the Police Precinct.
2.5 Access the Police Precinct's security surveillance system.
2.6 Meet Jr. Wilkes in front of the Police Precinct for extraction.

DO NOT (unless told otherwise):
Touch the streets
Kill civilians

2.1 Meet up with Thomas Gurgenidze:  When you start out, shoot the two lights
    that are in front of you.  The one on the left of the gate, and the one
    behind the gate.  When you shoot them both out, the man on the balcony may
    say "What the hell?"  Wait for him to say "I guess it was nothing." and go
    right to jump onto the ladder.  Make sure that he is not facing the ladder
    when you climb it.  After climbing the ladder, go straight and open the
    trap.  Climb in and at the end, go up the pipe in front-left corner.
    When you get to the top, there will have to perform a zip line on the rope
    from the roof to inside the building.
    ===========================

    Instead of shooting out the lights, you can just shoot to the left or right 
    of him (but not hitting him) and he will run away.
    ===========================

    Now that you are inside the burning building, you must find Gurgenidze.  
    You don't have to worry about any enemies in here.  Just look out for the 
    fire.  Go out the door in front of you, and make a left into the next door.
    Enter that room and exit the door at the opposite end.  Make a left down 
    the stairs until it is blocked off by fire.  Make a right out of the 
    stairwell, and you will see a pipe on the ceiling.  Hand-over-hand on the 
    pipe until you make it across.  Go to the left hallway and into the door on
    the right.  Exit that room through the left door and go right up the 
    stairs.  Exit the stairwell and go to the door on the left.  Gurgendize is 
    in this room.  When you enter, he will be crushed by falling vents, but he 
    will live long enough to give you the information needed.  Now you must 
    find Blaustein's black box.  Go out the door left of the one you came in.  
    Enter the room with black smoke coming out of it, and shoot out the 
    skylights.  Inhaling the smoke will cause much damage to your health.  Exit
    the room through the door on the right.

2.2 Find Blaustein's black box: Exit the door in front of you, then follow the
    balcony to the end.  Here, hidden in the leaves, is a pipe that you can
    hand-over-hand across.  You will hear Russian soldiers having a 
    conversation.  They are searching Blaustein's apartment, which is where the
    black box is.  When the man is done with the conversation, go right, into
    the bushes, and jump over the railing, onto the porch.  When you do this,
    another man should come out of the house and report his findings, which is 
    nothing.  Wait for him to leave while hiding on the porch near the bushes, 
    then grab the man standing outside and knock him out.  Now go inside, and 
    in the next room there is the other man.  Sneak up behind him and knock him
    out.  

    You could shoot out the lights, though it is not necessary.  Go down
    hall into the bedroom.  Pick up the Med Kit at the rooms entrance.  In the
    room, there is a painting on the left side of the bed.  Slide it open and
    you will find the black box.  Use the computer to get the information.  Go 
    to the door with the keypad and enter 091772 (yours could be different).

    Exit the door and go to your left.  Zip line across to the other building
    and go in the door.  Go through the other doorway and slide down the 
    elevator wires.  Open the trap and enter the elevator.

2.3 Find Gurgenidze's dead drop and get in Police Precinct: Go to the door and 
    pick the lock.  There will be three people down the stairs talking; 2 are 
    cops, 1 a civilian.  Grab the bottle by the stairs and sneak down into the 
    dark area by the tree.  Throw the bottle into a dark place where they
    wouldn't be able to find you, and sneak up behind them and knock them out.
    If both of them don't come over, take out the first guy, and throw the 
    other bottle that's by the tree to get the other guy's attention.  Or, you 
    could possibly use the first guy as a human shield and take out the other
    guy also.  I haven't tried it, so tell me if it works please.

    Once that is done, go passed the guy sitting down and make a left.  Go up
    the stairs and follow the pathway.  You will enter Morevi Square.  Go
    across the Square, into the bushes where a red light can be seen.  Crawl
    into the little pathway leading to another room.  Here, you can pick up
    ammo and a Med Kit.  Use the computer to pick up some information.  When 
    you exit the room, a cop will enter through the gates.  Sneak up behind him
    and knock him out.

*CHECK POINT*

    Go through the gate the guard came in.  Go through the pathway and wait for
    the civilian to come and go.  Put your back to the wall, and when he turns 
    around, sneak up behind him and knock him out.  Next, take out the cop the 
    same way.  Pick up a satchel from the cop.  Continue to follow the path, 
    and you will find a civilian.  Wait for him to go to the end of the path,
    then sneak up behind him and knock him out.

    GLITCH: When you get to the end of the path, you will see an open gate.  If
    you look on the right gate, you can see through the wall.

    To get into the Police Precinct, simply climb up on the dumpster, then do a
    double jump onto the wall, and climb over through the space.

2.4 Locate Agent Blaustein in the Police Precinct: Go forward and make a right
    down the stairs.  Go in the door and you will see a cop.  get a certain
    distance away from him, and do a split jump.  I suggest you do it in the
    darker areas, because if you miss, the noise of you falling will alert him.
    Anyway, wait for him to come around, and jump on top of him (you've
    probably seen this scene in the commercials).  Once that is taken care of,
    shoot the lights so no one can see the body.  Continue down the hall, and 
    on the right, a cop should enter through the door.  Knock him out, and take
    him to the place where the other knocked out cop is.  Go back up the 
    hallway and go to the door on the left.  Use the computer and pick up a 
    data stick.  There is a guy in the lab that you must interrogate.  Either 
    sneak up on him, or get his attention.  You can shoot out the lights, and 
    when he comes down the hallway, grab the pipe with your hands and feet.  
    When he passes, come down and grab him.  To sneak up on him, crouch under
    the window and into the doorway.  Go up behind him, grab him, and
    interrogate him.  When you are  finished, hit him.  Enter the lab, and go 
    in the back door.  Look out for the camera.  Shoot it through the clear 
    sheets in front of you when you enter to avoid detection.  Here you will 
    find Madison's and Blaustein's bodies.  Exit the lab and enter the door at
    the end of the hallway.

*SAVE POINT*

2.5 Access the Police Precinct's security surveillance system:  Run up the
    stairs and into the door.  There will be a civilian registering a complaint
    about the police or whatever.  Shoot the light in the office without being
    detected.  When the officer comes over to look at the light, you may have
    to jump over the desk on your immediate right when you walk in.  If not,
    wait for the officer to continue back to his desk.  When this happens, 
    quietly sneak up behind him, and knock him out.  The civilian sitting down
    in the other room may see this, and he will be alerted.  Do not shoot him.  
    Knock him out.  Use the computer in the office to get a data stick.  There
    is also a Med Kit next to the computer.  Grab that too.  Quietly go up the 
    stairs on the left side of the couch in the other room.

*CHECK POINT*

    When you are up the stairs, there will be 2 men sitting at desks.  grab the
    first one, bring him to the stairs, and knock him out, so you do not alert
    the other man.  The next guy you can simply knock out.  Go to the computer 
    in between the desks and use it to pick up a data stick.
   
    GLITCH: When you enter this room, look at the first door on the right.  If
    you look at the Interact options, it will say "Switch object", but there is
    no switch to be seen.  The switch is on the other side of the door.
 
    Go to the first door on the right, and use the computer to get a data 
    stick.  Exit and go into the next room.  Around the corner will be a guy 
    looking at computers.  Knock him out and use the computer.  

2.6 Meet Junior Wilkes for extraction: When you are finished, go downstairs and 
    exit through the double doors.

3.  Georgian Defense Ministry, T'Bilisi, Georgia
    October 16, 2004, 23:01 hours

MISSION BRIEFING:  
Discover President Nikoladze's secret.  CIS agents Blaustein and Madison were
killed for getting too close to information Georgian President Kombayn
Nikoladze needed to protect.  Vysacheslav Grinko, a Russian mercenary, is 
closely tied to Nikoladze's secret; they have arranged to meet at the Ministry
of Defense.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
3.1 Infiltrate the East Wing
3.2 Discover Vyacheslav Grinko's whereabouts by interrogating his driver.
3.3 Infiltrate the South Wing of the Georgian Defense Ministry.
3.4 Deactivate the courtyard security laser grid.
3.5 Laser-mic the Grinko and Masse conversation in the glass elevator leading to
    Nikoladze's office.
3.6 Access Nikoladze's personal computer in his office.
3.7 Rendezvous with Jr. Wilkes in the basement parking garage for extraction.

DO NOT (unless told otherwise):
Trip an alarm
Kill Civilians

3.1 Infiltrate the East Wing: From the roof top, go to the pole thing with the 
    cone on top of it sticking out of the rooftop.  "Rappel on wall" and go
    down to the open window.  Press and hold triangle to slide down faster.
    When you enter the room, put your back to the wall and sneak up to the edge
    of the shelve.  Wait for the man to go in between the shelves and sneak up
    behind him and knock him out.  Before going any further, shoot out the
    camera that is above the doorway.  Use the computer that is on the
    left of the door.  Go through the door and up to the next one.  

3.2 Interrogate Grinko's driver: Use you optic cable, and wait for the man to 
    turn around and walk a decent distance away from the door.  Sneak into the
    shadows and wait for the walking man to turn around.  When he passes you,
    grab him, knock him out, and hide him in the shadows.  Do the same thing
    with the other guy, except he is not moving.  The door at the end of the
    hallway is jammed for now, so you have to go to the first door on the left.
    Go up the stairs and grab the Med Kit.  When going down stairs, you can
    either shoot out the lights or the cameras.  I'd suggest you do both just
    to be sure.  If you want to save ammo, you can just shoot the cameras.
    Continue all the way down stairs to the parking lot.

*CHECK POINT*

3.3 Infiltrate the South Wing: When you enter, there will be a camera in front 
    of you.  Shoot it and go left.  In the corner will be two bottles.  Grab 
    one.  Now go to where the blue car is and peek around the corner.  You 
    should see Grinko's driver standing by the black car.  There is also a 
    security camera.  Shoot it out.  Sneak around the blue car and quietly near 
    Grinko's driver.  Throw the bottle in the direction of the car to get the 
    driver's attention.  When he is done looking around, quietly follow him 
    back to the car.  Grab him and interrogate him.  Make sure that he has 
    forgotten you by interrogating him again.  When finished, hit him.

    Exit the parking lot, and go upstairs to the hallway in which there was 
    a door with a jammed lock.  Go into that room and open the door.  Stop
    immediately and shoot the camera above you.  Use both of the computers to 
    get data sticks and then jump into the vent.  Turn on you NVGs to see 
    inside.

3.4 Deactivate the laser grid: Continue through the vent until you come to an 
    opening in the freezer.  When you exit the vent, there should be a bottle 
    on the shelf behind you.  Pick it up and go to the doorway, but do not exit
    the room.  Wait for the officer that enters to leave.  Switch off the 
    freezer light and quietly exit the room and hide behind the middle table.  
    Throw the bottle towards the freezer to get the cook's attention.  If that 
    bottle doesn't work, there is one right on that table.  When the cook sees 
    the light is off he will go to turn it on.  This is when you go up behind 
    him and hit him.  Exit through the door and you will see the officer 
    watching the TVs.  Grab him and knock him out.  Hide him in a dark spot.

    Now, go into the room with the TVs, turn right, and go down the stairs.  
    You will intercept a call with the Russians saying they need a Colonel to 
    open a retinal scanner-locked door.  When you get downstairs, there will be
    2 curved staircases.  Instead, jump over the balcony and land quietly.  The
    first guy you want to take out is the guy behind the counter.  Wait for the 
    pacing man to walk to the right side.  When he is in the middle, grab the 
    one behind the counter and knock him out behind the stairwell on the left.
    Take out the other guy by sneaking up behind him and knocking him out.  Put
    him in the darkness too.  Now use the red computer to get a Colonel.  Wait
    for the Colonel to sit down, then grab him and bring him to the door in the
    back corner.  Use the retinal scanner, and then knock him out.
    ===========================

    If this is the part where you hear the conversation about the retinal 
    scanner, wait until the walking guard goes the other way, crouch and make 
    your way silently down the stairs. When you reach the bottom hide in the 
    shadows underneath the stairs. Wait there. When the patrolling guard turns 
    around again and is halfway across the room, grab the guard by the 
    computer.  Drag him back under the stairs and knock him out. Wait until the
    other guard patrolling is not facing your way. Take him down with a 
    headshot, an elbow, or take him hostage. Hide both of the bodies in the 
    shadows underneath the set of stairs you were under.
    
    Access the computer. Once you retrieve the data stick, Lambert will chime 
    in. He says the Colonel that they mentioned on the radio is going to pass 
    by. Hide with the bodies under the stairs in the shadows. When the Colonel 
    sits down, grab him. Take him to the retinal scanner, and force him to use 
    it. Take him back to the stairs and knock him cold. If there are any legs, 
    arms or heads sticking out of the shadows, hide the bodies better. Go back 
    to the door and enter.

3.5 Laser-mic the glass elevator: After entering the door with the retinal
    scanner, there are double doors with a camera above.  You can peek around
    the corner and shoot it out.  Enter the courtyard and use the laser-mic
    while pointing it at the glass elevator.  Hide somewhere dark, because when
    convo is done, two officers will enter the courtyard.  All I can say for
    this is use the bushes and shadows for your cover, and take out both 
    guards. Pick up the satchel from one of them and climb up the fence with 
    vines.

3.6 Find and access Nikoladze's computer: When you enter the room, it shows a 
    cut scene of an elevator coming down to your level.  Hide in the dark area 
    on the right side, and wait for the soldier from the elevator to turn 
    around.  When both soldiers are at the other end of the room, enter the 
    elevator and let it take you to the top.  When it reaches its destination, 
    exit.  There will be a camera to your right, so watch out.  Go to the end 
    of the room and shoot it.  A soldier will come, so stay in that corner 
    until he leaves.  Enter the room to the right of the elevator, and use the 
    computer to get the data stick.  Above the desk is a vent, so go into it.  
    You'll want to go on the side of the vent in the clock's direction.  When 
    you exit the vent, there will be a camera behind you.  Shoot it and go 
    forward.  To your left will be custodial room.  Go in, and there should be 
    ammo on the right, and a Med Kit on the left.  Climb the ladder, open the 
    trap, and go onto the roof.  At the edge of the roof, you should see a 
    little pole with a cone on top like the one in the beginning of the level. 
    Rapple down the wall with it until you get to a window with someone sitting
    down.  Break the glass by jumping, and take out the soldier.  Pick up the 
    satchel with the frag grenades the man was holding.  Use the computer, and 
    you will be needed to use it a few times to transmit all of the data.  
    There will be an alert that there is an intruder, so you will need to hide.
    Jump out the window, but hang on until the soldier leaves.  Exit the room.

3.7 Reach extraction:  When you exit the room, go down the hall where the open 
    vent you came in is.  Go in the door that is all the way at the end (the 
    lock was jammed before).  Go down the stairs and take the Med Kit.  Use 
    your optic cable to see which way the soldier on the bottom is facing.  
    When he is turned around, enter.  Someone will call on the enemy radio, 
    looking for you.  Hide in the shadows, because there will be another 
    soldier.  All I can say for this is to stay in the shadows, and wait for 
    them to be apart.  Then knock them out and continue to the broken elevator.
    Slide down the pipe into the parking lot.  You will see a soldier get shot,
    so go around that corner and meet up with Jr. Wilkes.

4.  GFO Oil Rig, Georgian Waters, Caspian Sea
    October 27, 2004, 09:38 hours

MISSION BRIEFING:
Retrieve Georgian communication data.  NATO and U.S. intervention has pushed
most of the Georgian commandos from Azerbaijan, with only a few well hidden
cells remaining.  One of those sells, entrenched in and oilrig on the Caspian
Sea, is exchanging data with the Presidential Palace in Georgia via a secure
network.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
4.1 Infiltrate the oil refinery by the main pipeline.
4.2 Trail the mercenary technician
4.3 Retrieve the laptop from the mercenary technician's briefcase.

DO NOT (unless told otherwise):
Make contact with the mercenary tech/escort before he uses the encryption key.

4.1 Infiltrate the oil refinery: Go forward, then go up the ladder on the left. 
    At the top, go forward and make a right onto the pipes.  Follow the big red 
    pipe until you get to the barbwires.  Jump up onto the tiny pipe and hold 
    on with both your hands and feet.  When you are over the wires, get down, 
    and slowly walk over the edge on the right.  Fall and grab onto the 
    walkway, and go under the thing blocking the way.  Get back up and crouch 
    under the red thing.

*CHECK POINT*

    After going under the red thing, go to the platform on your immediate 
    right, and zip line down to the next platform.  As you come down, part of 
    the red pipe will explode.  Go left and crouch under the red pipe.  Turn 
    right and climb up the rope.  Jump onto the pipe and go inside.  Turn on 
    your NVG to see and continue up the pipe.  Soon you will "see the light at 
    the end of the tunnel."

*SAVE POINT*

4.2 Trail the mercenary technician: Turn on your NVG and go to the ladder.  Go
    left and jump onto the metal bars that are over the water (they form 
    somewhat of a diamond shape).  Follow this until you get to the platform.
    One man will stay behind on the top platform.  Get his attention, and wait
    for him to come down.  Wait in a dark area.  When he goes back up, follow
    him and knock him out.  Continue up the stairs.

*SAVE POINT*

    When the game loads, there will be an explosion.  Hide from the mercenary
    and his escort.  One man will stay behind.  Sneak into the shadows and wait
    for him to turn around.  When he does, grab him and knock him out, because
    he will move quickly.  Pick up his satchel for a Med Kit.  Continue to 
    follow the mercenary.  They will enter a room, but one man will stay 
    behind.  Pick up the bottle nearby, and throw it and hide by the edge of 
    the wall in its darkest area.  When the man comes around to check, go 
    behind the pipes and enter the room the mercenary is in.  Hide behind the 
    little salad bar and wait for them to pass.  Follow them and they will exit
    through a door, which will close behind them, not letting you through.  Go 
    back to the salad bar and into the glowing room around the corner with the 
    electrical wire hanging down.  Go in and grab the Med Kit.  Exit the room 
    and the salad bar place.  Before you exit, there should be a Med Kit on the
    table to the right of the doorway.  Exit and go left.

*CHECK POINT*

4.3 Get the technician's briefcase by any means: Go to the red thing in between
    the two fires and climb up it.  Hand-over-hand on the pipe above, and get 
    in through the broken window.  A soldier will be shooting all of the 
    computers inside, while the mercenary runs.  While the soldier is 
    distracted by shooting the computers, sneak up on him and knock him out.  

    GLITCH: This has only happened to me once, but after the guy shot the two
    laptops, I went over to the area and I had the option to "Use computer", 
    but there was nothing there.

    Grab the Med Kit from the shelf and the ammo from the top of the cabinet 
    next to the wooden table.  Next, go up the staircase that the mercenary 
    went up.  His helicopter will be shot down, avoiding his escape.  When you 
    go up the stairs, you will see a soldier walk in front of the top of the 
    stairs.  Knock him out, and take his satchel with the data stick.  Turn 
    around and go the stairs to where the other soldier is.  To take him out, 
    walk slowly toward him.  Although you may be in front of him, he will not 
    see you.  Go up to him and hit him.  He might fire back at you, so watch 
    out.  Hit him a second time.  Another way to take him out is to simply 
    shoot the barrel next to him, but that's not being stealthy, now is it.  
    Pick up the satchel with the data stick If you lost health, just use the 
    Med Kits that I hope you picked up.  Now lets go find the mercenary. Go 
    down the stairs and make a left, then go right following the pipe.  Go down
    the stairs and exit the door.  Knock out the crazy soldier that is running 
    around back and forth like a moron.  Enter the door on your left, pick up 
    the Med Kit, and exit the room.  Look around the hall and find the 
    mercenary.  Grab him and interrogate him.  If time is short, just forward 
    the conversation.  Pick up the satchel, then the briefcase.

5. CIA Headquarters, Langley, Virginia, USA
   October 31, 2004, 22:19

MISSION BRIEFING:
Track down the mole in the CIA.  Hours after the attack on the oil rig,
Georgian President Nikoladze launched a devastating wave of remote, 
technology-based terrorist attacks as a retaliation against the U.S.  The only
lead to Nikoladze's whereabouts is a mole thought to be operating out of the
Central Intelligence Agency.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
5.1 Retrieve the SC-20K from the storage room behind the battery generator
    backup.
5.2 Access the CIA central server to identify and locate the information leak.
5.3 Tap Dougherty's computer to trace the intelligence leak to the Georgians.
5.4 Kidnap Mitchell Dougherty
5.5 Incapacitate the CIA Security Officer speaking with Wilkes and Baxter.
5.6 Take Mitchell Dougherty to the rendezvous point near the document disposal
    loading dock.

DO NOT:
Kill any agents

5.1 Retrieve the SC-20K: You start by the elevator you came off of.  Follow the
    hallway and you will see a man down the all patrolling the area.  Continue
    down and someone will come out of the room on the right side.  He will go
    across to the other room, so follow him and when he is in the room, knock
    him cold.  Turn off the light, exit this room and enter the one he was just 
    in.  Use the computer to get a data stick.  Before you exit, use your optic 
    cable,  because the patrolling guard will walk passed the door.  You can 
    either follow him, or wait in the shadows for him to come back and take him 
    out.  Bring him to the room the other guy is in.
   
    Continue down the hallway and follow the left side.  Enter the door, and
    wait for the conversation to end (Depending on how long it too you to do 
    the first part, there might not be one).  When it is over, sneak up on the 
    guard in the room and knock him out.  Take his satchel to get a data stick.
    Use the computer on the desk to get a data stick, then use the lock pick to
    get into the room in the corner.  Here you will get a Med Kit and two 
    sticky shockers.  Hide the guy's body in this room.  Go back around to the 
    main hallway, but go right this time.  

    Go down the hall until you reach the snack machine.  Hide behind it, and 
    you will see a guy making trips back and forth from one room to another.  
    Let him go into the room on the right, and sneak into the first open door
    on the left.  You will see a man standing by a large window looking through
    it.  Knock him out and drag him to a corner.  Go by the door and wait for 
    the other guy to pass by.  Follow him to the other room and knock him out.
    Look on the shelf on the left to get a disposable pick, then turn off the
    lights.  Exit and go to the door with the keypad.  Enter 7687 to open the 
    door.  Enter and switch off the lights, then go left.  Jump over the filing
    cabinets.  When the guard from the other room enters, he will be alerted
    because the lights are out, and he will scout the area.  Follow him and 
    knock him out.  Go into the room he came from, turn off the lights, grab 
    the Med Kit off the wall, and use the computer to get a data stick.  Go to 
    the door and enter 110598 in the keypad to open it.

*CHECK POINT*

    When you enter, you will her a man counting or doing something.  There are
    two guys down there, both unarmed, but near an alarm button.  Go down and
    hide in the shadows as you watch their movements.  When both of them are
    standing right next to each other, that's your cue.  When you knock out the
    first guy, the other will turn around.  Quickly hit him  before he can
    escape.  Follow the path and go through the doorway.  Go up the stairs, and
    on the shelf in front of you is your SC-20K, along with a sticky shocker, 
    ring airfoil round, and a sticky camera.  Use your gun to shoot the camera 
    by the door and proceed.  Enter 2977 in the keypad to open the door.

*SAVE POINT*

5.2 Access the CIA central server: Go down the hall and you will see a guy 
    talking on the phone.  When he is done with the conversation, grab him, 
    drag him into a dark corner, and knock him out.  Continue down the hall 
    until you come across a big room on your right.  There should be two guys 
    in there.  One is walking around, and the other is in a cubicle.  The man 
    walking around will go from right to left, and then start for the back of
    the room.  When he turns around, follow him and knock him out near the big
    screen TVs.  The other guy should be in the cubicle in the back-left.  He
    is unarmed, so run up to him and knock him out.  Grab his satchel with the 
    data stick and go to the first cubicle on the left of the room.  Use the
    computer to get a data stick.

    Go to the other room with the blue lasers across from this one.  Go in and
    enter the door on the left (keypad #2019).  When you enter, you should see
    a camera at the other end of the room.  Shoot it out and continue to the
    left side of the balcony.  Jump through the opening in the railing and use
    the red computer.  When this is done, wait for a man to come through the
    door.  Sneak up on him and knock him out.  Carry him to the room on the
    other side, and hide him in the upstairs section, where it is darker.  Exit
    this room (keypad #2019) and leave through blue-laser room.  Continue
    left down the hall.  On your left will be an open door, leading into a
    restroom.  Go in and take out the guy peeing at the urinal in the back. 
    leave and grab the can on the bench by the vending machine.  Continue down
    the hall.

*CHECK POINT*
    
5.3 Tap Dougherty's computer: When you come around the corner, you will see a
    man's shadow through a window in the wall.  Now take that can you have and
    throw it in front of the window.  This will alert the man, and cause him
    to look around.  When he turns around, jump in the window and follow him
    before he reaches the window.  Knock him out and bring him back to where he
    was before.  Turn off the lights and exit through the door. 

    When you get out, stay near the walls, because there are two armored
    cameras in the room; one in the middle, and the other at the other end of
    the room.  Stay to the right side of the room, and wait in the corner by 
    the plant for a man to enter the room.  He will come over towards you, and 
    when he turns his back to you, grab him, bring him into the shadows, and
    knock him out.  Before entering the doorway he came in, make sure the 
    camera over there is facing another way.  Go and continue down the hallway.

    At the end of the hallway, make a left down the stairs, then shoot out the
    light above so you can pass the armored camera.  Turn on you NVG if you
    have to.  Go to the keypad and enter 110700.  Enter.

*CHECK POINT*

    When you are in, you will here a phone conversation going on in the room
    next door.  Enter the room quietly, and when the conversation is done,
    knock the guy cold.  Make sure to turn off the lights.  Go into the other
    room and grab the two flares on the table.  Use the computer to get a data
    stick.  Go over to the turret and grab the other flare next to it.  Go to 
    the briefcase on the other side of the turret and deactivate it.  Enter the
    room behind you and go into the elevator.  Go up.

*SAVE POINT*

    Go down the hall and into the room.  The men in the room will be talking.
    Sneak behind the computers to the other side.  Stay there until one of the
    men leaves the room.  Come out the other side and knock out the guy
    standing.  Hide him to the left of the door.  Next, grab the guy sitting
    down, drag him towards the door you entered, and knock him out.  The other
    guy will come back and look for them.  Hide in the shadows, and when he
    turns his back to you, grab him and knock him out.  Exit the room.

    Go to the first door on the left, and use the computer to get a data stick.
    The message will be encrypted or whatever you call it.  Continue down the
    hall and into the next room.  On your left will be two computers.  Use them
    both for data sticks and pick up the sticky cameras there.  Continue to
    the smaller room in this room.  Wait for the man to come out of the room. 
    This is Dougherty's room, so use the computer.  Continue down the hall.
   
*CHECK POINT*

5.4 Kidnap Mitchell Dougherty: Go down the hall, and when you see double doors 
    on your left, go in them.  When you are in, go right, and walk AS SLOWLY AS
    POSSIBLE under the light from the projector.  Continue to the right, and 
    knock out the man standing by the red light above the door.  Go in the 
    door, and go left.  You will hear Dougherty talking, saying he is going to
    have a cigarette break.  Wait for one man to go to the restroom, then
    follow Dougherty (brown jacket) into the smoking area.  Grab him in the
    smoking area.

*SAVE POINT*

    Pick up Dougherty and go out the glass door in front of you.  When you 
    exit, a man will come up from the stairs on your left.  Put down Dougherty
    to take care of this guy.  Pick up Dougherty and go down the stairs and 
    follow the pathway to the door.

*CHECK POINT*

5.5 Incapacitate the CIA Security: When you come in the door and continue down 
    the stairs, there will be a camera by the red light.  Shoot it out.  
    Quietly continue down the stairs, and take out the guard that is in that 
    room.  Grab the sticky shocker on the last shelf by the door, and exit the 
    room with Dougherty through that door.  Go down the stairs and down the 
    elevator.  There will be a man down there.  Quietly sneak up on him and 
    take him out.
   
    Go down the parking garage thing and listen to the conversation.  Keep up
    against the left wall to sneak by.  When you are behind the truck, put down 
    Dougherty and take out your sticky shocker.  Shoot the officer.

5.6 Take Dougherty to the rendezvous point: Walk up to Wilkes and Baxter with
    Dougherty.

6.  Kalinatek building, Langley, Virginia, USA
    November 1, 2004, 01:24 hours


MISSION BRIEFING:
Recover the encryption key.  Russian mercenaries have begun to destroy evidence
of Georgian activities at Kalinatek.  Before her detection in the network,
Grimsdotter discovered that a technician named 'Ivan' is hiding in the
building.  Ivan possesses an encryption key that could help Third Echelon find
Nikoladze.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
6.1 Infiltrate Kalinatek.
6.2 Access Kalinatek's fire emergency system to open the fire doors surrounding
    Ivan.
6.3 Disarm the bomb planted in the Archives Room.
6.4 Restore power to the fire door circuit by accessing the fuse box behind
    the auditorium.
6.5 Find Ivan before the Russian Mafiosos kill him.
6.6 Reach Extraction point.
NOTE: The missions will jump from 6.2 to 6.3 to 6.4 back to 6.2. 

6.1 Infiltrate Kalinatek: When you get control of Sam, run over to the van and
    jump over it.  Two men will come out of the door further ahead, the second
    one coming out about 3-5 seconds after the first.  Stay next to the white 
    car until the first one comes towards your direction.  When he stops, grab
    him, drag him to the front of the car, and knock him out.  Stay there until 
    the other guy comes over looking for his friend.  Go around the left side
    of the car and knock him out.  Go in the door they entered through.

    Go up the stairs and pick up the Med Kit in between.  The lights should 
    burst.  When you get to the top door, 'stealth' open it.  Turn on your
    NVG and wait for the lights to go out.  When they do, enter and run
    straight forward until you get to a wall.  Wait there until the three men
    stop shooting.  They should go back to the van and wait.  When they do,
    quietly run over to the left and go up against the wall.  Continue towards
    the van, but look out for glass, and beware of the flickering lights.
    Both of these will give you away.  Take out the lone guy with a stick
    shock, which I have found to be the easiest way to get him.  One of the
    other two will come over to him, and start to walk around looking for you.
    Try to get behind him to knock him out.  Do the same with the other guy. 
    If they do spot you, try to run quietly to another spot, so they will lose
    you.  When you are done, use a Med Kit if needed.  Pick up the satchel with
    the data stick from one of the men.

    Go around to the other door (behind the wall you were first hiding at when
    you entered the room) and enter.  Jump onto the boxes, and then the box
    outside.  Jump onto one of the ropes coming from the crane and start to
    hand-over-hand across.

*SAVE POINT*

    When you land on the box, turn around and jump onto the rooftop.  Go to the
    little pipe thing with the cone on top and rapple down slowly, as there is
    a guard below.  When you come down, you will see two men in a window with
    a dead body talking about the encryption keys.  Continue down, and go right
    onto the last window.  While standing on it, shoot it out and this will
    alert the guard in that area.  When he comes over, he will look around.
    When his back is turned to you, knock him out.  Grab the satchel that he
    carried for a data stick.  Continue to the double-doors on the right.

6.2 Open the fire doors surrounding Ivan: Go to the door on the right and enter
    97531 in the keypad.  Go in and switch off the lights if you want.  Enter
    the door at the other end of the room, and be VERY quiet in doing so.
    Crouch-walk very slowly until you get to the other door.  If you use the
    Optic Cable, you will see a guard round the corner.  Open the door, and
    then jump up onto the thing next to the vent.  The man will come in and 
    turn on the light.  When he is at the switch, jump on him to knock him out.
    go into the vents.

*CHECK POINT*

    Continue into the vents and you will intercept a conversation on the radio.
    Before exiting the vents, there will be a cut scene.  Exit the vents, and on
    the table should be a sticky shocker and a disposable pick.  Go to the door
    in front of you, and use the optic cable to see where the guy behind the
    bars are.  When he is more towards you, and he turns around, enter.  Follow
    him until he stops.  Grab him and drag him into the dark corner behind the
    bars and knock him out.  Take his satchel with the wall mine.

    To disarm the wall mine, SLOWLY WALK UP TO IT until the option "Disable
    wall mine" appears.  Wait until the light is green, and then disable it.
    You will have another wall mine.  Enter the door in which the body is in
    front of.  Go behind the desk in front of you to get a disposable pick.
    Exit the room and go left.  Around the corner you will see the other man
    along with an active wall mine.  When the man is not looking, quietly creep
    over to the left wall.  Stay against it, and when you are close enough, 
    knock him out.  Take his satchel for a data stick.  Turn around and go to
    the door behind you (the one in the corner).  Pick up a Ring Airfoil Round
    from one of the desks in front of you when you enter.  Exit, and take care
    of the wall mine like the one you did before.  Go to the lit up room next
    to the mine and grab a Med Kit.  Enter the elevator that the man was
    guarding.

*SAVE POINT*
    
    Exit the elevator and go up to the edge of the glass-like wall.  Look
    around the corner and you will see a man coming over towards your
    direction.  He might go to the switch to turn on the lights, although they
    may be on already.  When he turns around go to the light switch and turn
    off the lights.  Sneak up behind him while he is at the vending machine
    and grab him.  When you do this, a man in the other room will start to
    shoot the computers, not you, unless he has spotted you.  

    Take the first guy over towards the small table and bench and knock him 
    out.  Take his satchel with the data stick and the sticky camera on the
    table.  Wait for the other man in the other room to stop shooting, and 
    continue to the next corner of the hallway.  When the man exits the room, 
    he will go turn on the lights in the hall.  Knock him out while he is 
    doing this.  

    As there is nothing useful in the room with the broken computers, continue 
    down the hall until you see another man.  Stop when you get to the edge of
    the fallen glass panel from the wall.  Another man will plant a wall mine,
    and will come over in your direction when he is done.  He will notice the
    fallen panel, but not you.  When he turns around, knock him out.  Pick up
    his satchel with the Med Kit in it.

    Go up to the wall mine that he planted and defuse it just like you did
    with the other ones.  You might have too many mines, and can't carry
    anymore.  Continue down the hall and make a left into the doorway.  Go 
    past the first doorway and into the broken window by the desk.  Equip an
    Ring Airfoil Round and shoot him in the head.  Go up to him and knock him
    out if you need to.  Take his satchel.

    Now you have to go VERY SLOWLY and disable the wall mines.  First, go to
    the one on the right, then the one on the left.  You can walk under them 
    too, not just on the sides.  As you do this, a conversation will start 
    between you and the mercenaries.  When you are done, talk to the guy in 
    the black and white shirt.  Wait until he says "We do not have much time
    left!" and then exit the room and continue left down the hall.  

*CHECK POINT*

6.3 Disarm the bomb: A countdown for the bomb that is planted will start.  It 
    shouldn't be too hard.  Continue down the hall until you get to a keypad 
    on your right.  Enter 33575 into the pad, and go through the door.  Go into 
    the right doorway and pick up the Med Kit from the dead guy.  Before you 
    exit through the door on the other side of the room, there is a wall mine 
    on that door.  Disable it and continue.  Go around the desk, and at the 
    exit of this room, there is another wall mine on the opposite side of the 
    doorway, so watch out.  Disable it and continue.  Go down the hall and
    make a left into the Archives Room.  Jump onto the middle filing cabinet, 
    and at the end of the room should be the bomb.  Disarm it.  Exit the room
    and go left.

6.4 Restore power to the fire door circuit: When you enter the room after the 
    little hallway, go left into the shadows by the door.  Wait for a man to 
    enter.  When he turns around, grab him.  Drag him back to the room you 
    were in before the checkpoint.  When you knock him out, take his satchel 
    and the ammo if you need it.

    Go back to the room that the man was in before.  Go to the left staircase
    and just peak around just enough so you can see the other guy down there
    through the glass.  After he looks around, go down there and knock him out.
    Take the body, and go to the right of the stage and around back.  Drop his
    body back there.  Next, go around the stage on the other side in the back,
    and go downstairs.

    When you go downstairs, there will be an alert that there is an intruder.
    Two of the three guards will come rushing up.  Run up the stairs and go
    behind the stage where you hid the body.  If you look around the corner,
    you can see one of the men with his back to you.  Move a little bit
    forward so you can see the man on the other side.  After he takes a moment
    to look around, grab the guy in front of you and drag him behind the
    stage to knock him out.  Take his satchel with the Med Kit.  When that is 
    done, watch the other guy again.  Wait for him to look around, then 
    quietly go around the seats.  Come around behind him and knock him out. 
    Drag his body behind the stage where the other two are.

    Go down stairs.  When you get to the bottles at the other end of the room,
    shoot out the lights (the one above and the one on the right).  Go right
    and you will see a man, but he won't see you.  Sneak up on the man and 
    knock him out.  Now shoot out all the lights in there.

    Go to the desk at the end of the room and pick up whatever you need.
    Turn around and use the big switch behind the desk.

    If you did exactly what I said before in the auditorium, then the
    conversation should finish.  If not, that means they found a body, and you
    screwed up.  Now I'm assuming you did what I said.

    When you go up the stairs, there is a man on the balcony.  Take your
    sticky shocker, BUT DON"T SHOOT IT YET!  Aim it a little to the left and a
    bit above the small light that is over his head.  Now shoot.  It may take
    you a few times to get it, but it will work.  Pick up the data stick from
    the man you just incapacitated.  Leave the auditorium the same way you 
    came in.  Turn out the lights on the left of the doorway.  Go to the door
    with the keypad opposite of the auditorium and enter 1250.

6.2 (Cont'd) When you enter, there will be a man up on top of the balcony.  
    Run under the stairs and grab the can.  When he comes to the bottom 
    stairwell, throw the can in front of him.  He will stay on the steps.  
    Stay where you are, and when he faces you, make a move to get behind him 
    and knock him out.  Bring his body under the stairs.  Go up the stairs and 
    shoot out all of the lights, including the one by the couch. 

    Now, sit on the couch and start shooting at the upstairs door.  It might
    take a while, but two men will come through the door.  Stay on the couch
    and wait until you get a clear shot to knock out one of them.  They should
    come over by the couch, and you should be able to got one of them while
    sitting on it.  If not, wait until they are a decent distance apart, but
    not too far, and knock 'em out, one after the other.  One of them will
    usually stay by the couch and the other will go to the stairs.  Exit the
    room through the door in which they came in.

    Go to the first room on the left, and go to the first desk.  Behind it
    should be a sticky camera and pistol ammo.  Leave the room and go to the
    room on your right.  Enter and go to your immediate left.  On the table
    should be a disposable pick.  Leave and go to the next room on the left.
    Go to your left and on the desk should be a sticky shocker and a ring
    airfoil round.  Turn off the lights, leave, and continue down to the room
    with the cross next to it.  Here you will find a injured mercenary.  On
    your left will be a Med Kit.  Take it if you need it, then talk to the
    mercenary.  After the conversation, he will die.  Ivan is now on the fifth
    floor.

    When you exit, look out, because there can be a man right behind the door.
    if there is, equip you airfoils and prepare to shoot.  There will most
    likely be two men after you, one coming from the right.  Shoot both men
    with airfoils and knock them out.  Pick up the satchel with the data stick
    from one of the men.  Continue down the hall and go into the room with
    the glass wall on your left.  Use the red computer to lift the fire doors.
    Continue down the hall, into the next door, and up the stairs.

*CHECK POINT*
    
6.5 Find Ivan before the Russian Mafiosos kill him: Shoot out the light above
    the door.  Run in through the door quickly into a dark spot in front of
    you.  One of the men will look outside while the other stays in.  Follow
    the guy that stays in and knock him out.  Wait for the other guy to come
    back in to take him out.  You can wait by the door for him to come back,
    or just use an airfoil.  Exit via the other side of the room and to the
    next door.  A cut-scene will occur, showing a man threatening Ivan in the
    bathroom.  This bathroom is on the other side of the fire, so go into the
    room on you right, climb into the vents, equip your sticky shocker, and be
    ready to shoot the enemy.  They man may see you and start shooting you, so
    hurry up.  Get out of the vent and take the man's satchel with the data
    stick.  Talk to Ivan.  Exit through the door.  Go right, and continue
    until you come to the elevator.  When you get inside, choose to go up.

6.6 Reach extraction point: When you exit the elevator, look left and shoot
    out the light.  Continue forward and when you hear the conversation, stop.
    Shoot out the other lights; the one in front of you and the one to your 
    left.  The conversation will stop, and a man will come in your direction.  
    When you knock him out, take his satchel for a data stick and 
    bring him into the elevator.  By the blue prints there is a red 
    can.  Take it and throw it into the where the second guy is standing.  He 
    will walk around, and when he turns around, run behind him and knock him 
    out.  Go to the next door.  To your left will be the third guy.  Shoot 
    him with the sticky shocker, then climb up the boxes.  Make a left onto
    the board panels.  Go down and on the wall is a Med Kit.

    Go through the gate and make a right.  Two men will walk through the door.
    Let the first one just barely see you hiding behind the covered wooden
    panels.  Equip your airfoil, and when he comes around shoot him in the 
    head.  Hit him if you need to.  Next, take the can on the thing you are
    hiding behind and toss it.  When the guy turns to look, hit him.  If he
    shoots you, use your Med Kit.  Go to the table on the right to get some
    things.  Go in the door up ahead.

*CHECK POINT*
    
    Look up and shoot out the light.  Go over to the covered wood and put your
    back to the wall and go right.  The enemy knows you're here.  They will
    start to shoot at you.  In that room they are in, there is a light, so 
    shoot it.  Now run like hell through the room and into the next door.
    Just keep on running to the end of the hall, and enter the door on the
    left.

*CHECK POINT*

    Ok, run to the next door and be ready.  You're gonna get hit hard.  Make
    sure you have about four Med Kits.  If not, be really careful.  Hide
    behind the boxes for a while.  Wait for someone to come, and elbow them.
    If someone else comes over, do the same thing.  Use the Med Kits when
    necessary.  Wait for everyone on the ground to be knocked out by you.  Then
    run forward and make a left into the doorway before going up the stairs.
    The guy throwing the grenades will come down looking for you.  If he runs
    past, follow him and knock him out.  Go up the stairs and make a left.
    Go in the vent.

*SAVE POINT*

    When you exit the vent, there will be a guy in front of you.  Knock him
    out and shoot out the light.  Go to the door and enter while the
    conversation is going on.  Go to the room on the right and shoot out that
    light.  While the conversation is still going on, shoot out the light in
    the next room.  After a few seconds,  a man in the room back will notice
    the lights are out.  Go back in that room and knock him out.  You may
    notice the Med Kit on the wall too.  Take that, go around the boxes, and
    pick up some more ammo.  Go back to where you first entered, and start
    shooting out the lights in the hall.  Make sure you are close enough, and
    don't try to hit it on an extreme angle.  The man down the hall won't 
    notice the first one being shot, but when you shoot the one over his head,
    he will look up.  Quietly walk up to him, grab him, bring him to the room
    behind him, and knock him out.  Now shoot out the last light down the hall.
    Do what you just did before, but all you need to do is knock him out.

    You might have heard a beeping, which is a wall mine in the bathroom.
    Go in, disable it, go in the back to get a Med Kit, run out of the 
    bathroom, then go left into the other room.

    Shoot out the lights.  A man will come in and notice the lights are out.
    Run in, but watch out for the wall mine.  Get behind the guy when he turns
    around, because he probably won't see you, and knock him out.  Then go
    disable the mine.  Go into the next room, and into the prison cell.  Grab
    the Med Kit, get out of the cell, and continue out the other door.

*CHECK POINT*
    
    Continue down to the next door and go to the hall with the bursted pipes.
    Shoot out both of the lights.  This may alert the guards.  If not, shoot
    around the area where the second light is until you get their attention.
    One of the men will enter by the second light.  He will not go past the
    water, so when he turns around, run up to him and grab him.  Drag him back
    to where the water is and knock him out.  Go to the doorway and shoot out
    the two lights that hand above.  Go around to the door in which you came in
    and go upstairs.  Shoot out the light that is hanging down up there.  
    Go out the door in front of you onto the balcony.  Go straight forward and
    jump over the balcony, past the two men.  Shoot out the remaining light
    hanging down.

    Continue down the hall, and know you are going to just make a run for it.
    Go all the way to the end of the room and climb the red ladder.  Continue
    up until you reach the top.  

    There will be someone there shooting your
    helicopter-plane thing.  Just go up to him and knock him out.  Behind you
    may be two other men, so quickly jump onto the box thing that is up there,
    and jump into the open door on the helicopter.  Walk inside.

7.  Nadezhda Nuclear Plant, Kola Peninsula
    November 6, 2004, 19:50 hours


MISSION BRIEFING:
Trace the microwave relay.  Data retrieved from Kalinatek reveals that
Nikoladze uses and unconventional network of relays to communicate with
Georgian terrorist cells.  Background electronic noise surrounding the
Nadezhda Nuclear Power Plant in northern Russia makes it impossible to trace
the network beyond this point.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
7.1 Infiltrate the Cooling Rod Room and trigger a meltdown alert.
7.2 Retrieve the Cooling Rod Control Room access code from the mercenary
    technician "Esfir."
7.3 Retrieve the Flash RAM shipping log for the power plant's waste disposal
    train.
7.4 Investigate the Nadezhda communications center.
7.5 Tap the Georgian microwave relay.
7.6 Stow away on the waste train for extraction.
NOTE: The missions will go from 7.1 to 7.2 back to 7.1.


7.1 Trigger a meltdown alert: When you start out, walk slowly forward and up
    the little steps.  Make a right near the edge.  Take out your gun and
    shoot out the camera.  Immediately after doing this, jump down onto the
    man below, knocking him out.  Drag him over near one of the barrels in the
    room under the top floor.  Shoot the light bulb in the middle of that
    room.  

    Go to the window and wait for a man to come by.  He will go from right to
    left.  When he goes back left, open the window and jump out.  Go right and
    hide in the little corner where the wall sticks out.  Wait for the man to
    come bye again.  When he does, grab him and knock him out.

    Continue right and stay against the wall on your left.  Go under the pipes
    and behind the green box thing.  Stay to the left until you come to a
    little bush.  Here is a can, which you can pick up.  Take it and throw it at
    the man standing near you.  he will look around, and somewhat come in your
    direction.  When he does, wait for him to turn around.  Sneak up behind him
    and knock him out.  Bring him around to the left of the brown, cylinder
    shaped thing, which is to the left of the door.  

    Enter the door, and shoot out the light on the wall in front of you.  The 
    man inside will be a little cautious when you do this.  Nest, snipe out the 
    other light down the hall.  The man will look around, but not see you.  He
    may come over in your direction, so when he does, knock him out.  Go to the
    open room down the hall and take the Med Kit that's on the shelf.  Turn
    off/shoot out the light in that room if you want.  Exit and go to the door
    on your right.

*CHECK POINT*

    Enter the door in front of you and go left to pick up a flare.  Now, go
    right into the fenced off area, go all the way to the end, and climb the
    fence.  Jump off the wall on the right to make it over the pipes.  Near the
    box thing in the middle should be pistol ammo and frag grenades.  Take them
    and climb back over the fence the way you came in.

    Go back to the door that had the flare in it, and go to the left of the 
    door to climb the pipe.  As you climb up, you will see a searchlight.  
    Turn around, look up, and shoot it out.  Continue to climb the pipes.  At 
    the end, make a left and go into the vent.  Continue to the end of the 
    vent.

    After the two men are done with their conversation, exit the side of the
    vent in front of you.  Wait there until the man on the left by the door
    comes over towards you.  When he is pretty much right next to you, sneak up
    on him and quickly knock him out.  Turn around towards the door and shoot
    out the light and the camera.  This will alert the other man.  When he
    walks over by the door, sneak up on him and knock him out.  Continue into
    the door.

    In front of you when you walk in should be a Med Kit.  Grab that, turn left
    and go to the right side of the fence to pick up a frag grenade.  Enter the
    door to the right of the one you came in.  When you are in this room, go
    right into the hole, and continue into the vent.

*SAVE POINT*

    Sam has taken off his snowsuit and is now on a moving elevator.  When the
    conversation is over, go forward and jump down from the elevator.  Go under
    the elevator and the floor, and continue forward on the left side of the
    wall until you come to a little opening in the corner.  Before you exit,
    take out your gun and shoot out the camera above.  A guard will be 
    patrolling the area.  Wait for him under the floor by the opening.  When 
    you see him, shoot him with your sticky shocker/airfoil.  Do this quickly, 
    and grab his body, because one of the technicians will enter the corridor. 
    Hide the guard's body under the camera you shot out.

    Look down the corridor, and you will see a camera at the other end.  Shoot
    it, and technician should come around the corner over there on the left.
    wait for him to come towards your direction, and he should turn left to use
    the computer.  When he does, sneak up behind him and knock him out.  If he
    runs for the alarm, get there before he does.  You can simply block it, and
    he'll just curl up in fear (MUWAHAHAHAHA!).  Ok, no that I got that out of
    my system, let's continue.

    Go to the door on the right side with the red light above it.  On the left
    side of the room should be a technician watching TV.  Sneak up on him and
    knock him out.  Shoot out the TV and the light above the fan, and hide the
    other two bodies in this room, just to be safe.  Before exiting the room,
    grab the Med Kit that's on one of the beds.  Continue right down the hall.
    When you come to the end, look at the hall on the left, and there should be
    a camera and a light.  You can just peak around the corner and shoot both
    of them out.  Continue down that hall until you come to a silver door on
    your right.  Go in and grab the Med Kit.  Continue to the end of the hall,
    and shoot out all of the lights on your way, because it'll make the next
    thing you do a little easier.  Go back to the beginning of this hall and 
    the end of the first one.   

    To the right of where the second camera is an opening in the floor.
    Enter it, turn around, and go right.  There should be a cut scene.  When
    that is over, continue down the path.

*CHECK POINT*
   
7.2 Get the access code from "Esfir": At the end of the path, go right and up 
    the stairs.  Stay in the corner and wait for the mercenary to walk over by 
    the double glass door.  When he does, sneak up to him and grab him.  Take 
    him into the corner by the small set of stairs you went up and interrogate 
    him to the fullest extent.  Knock him out.  

    Another thing that has happened to me is that Esfir came over towards me
    by the stairs.  I was like, "What the hell?!" then I realized that he just
    randomly goes left or right.  Anyway, in this case, just wait at the
    bottom of the small staircase and wait until he stops at the top of the
    stairs.  Sneak up to 

    Leave the man alone that is up 
    on the balcony above.

7.1 (Cont'd) Go through the metal door on the left of the glass double-door,
    and shoot out the light above you and in front of you.  Enter the other
    door on the left and you will see a technician walking around the
    to each of the computers.  Walk up to the Med Kit and grab it.  He 
    shouldn't notice you.  The moment he turns his back to you, grab him, drag
    him to the corner by the door, and knock him out.  Exit the room and 
    continue left down the hall.  

    Around the corner on the right should be a camera.  Shoot that out and
    walk right under it.  Wait for the guard to come over to where you are.  
    He will see the camera is shot out and be alerted.  Stay where you are,
    and the moment he turns his back to you, grab him, bring him under the
    camera, and knock him out.  You must be careful, because while you are 
    doing this, a technician will also enter the corridor.  When he goes to
    go into the room on the right, follow him.  In here is another technician.
    If they spot you, run over to the alarm which should be on the left side
    of the room and block it so they can't switch it.  Knock both of them out,
    and shoot out the light in the room.  You should take the guard's body
    that is outside into this room just to be safe.  Exit the room, and if you
    look right, you will see another camera at the end of the corridor.  Shoot
    it and continue down the hall.  Make a left into the dark corridor.

*CHECK POINT*

    As you continue down the hall, there will be a door on the left.  First,
    shoot out both of the lights in the hall.  Then look to the right, 
    opposite of the door, and you will see a camera.  Shoot it.  Go back to 
    the door and enter 560627 in the keypad.  Enter and go all the way down
    the stairs.  You will see a man at the other end of the room looking at a
    computer.  High up on the wall in which the computers are on will be two
    cameras.  They might be hard to see at first, but if you move down toward
    the other end of the room, you will get a better angle at them, so shoot
    them out.
    
    When you reach the other end of the room where the man is, he will move
    to another computer.  Sneak up behind him and knock him out.  Go to each
    computer and use them all.  There should also be a chemical flare between
    two of the computers.  You have triggered a meltdown alert.  Go down the
    and wait in the middle of the room for a man to enter from the door you
    came in.  He should come running down.  When he gets near your position,
    he should turn around.  When he does, knock him out.  Leave the bodies
    where they are and exit the room via the door you entered.  Continue left
    down the hall and enter the room with the stairs.

*SAVE POINT*

7.3 Obtain the Data Stick from the Technician:  Go up the stairs and into the
    hall.  Continue until you see an open door at the opposite end.  Run
    straight for it, since around the corner is one of those antipersonnel
    turrets.  You should be able to make it across safely, being hit once at
    the most.  Exit the room at the other end into another room.  Go to the
    next door and peek around the corner until a man comes up the stairs.  
    Wait for him to turn around and knock him out.  The technician is down the
    stairs, probably curled up into a little ball in fear.  There is no switch
    to hit, so don't worry about alarming him.  Grab him and interrogate him.
    When you are done, knock him out and grab his satchel with the Data Stick
    inside.

7.4 Investigate the communications center:  Turn around and you should see a
    vent near the door in which you entered this room.  It's above the balcony
    in front of the door.  Go through the vents all the way to the end.  Jump
    down from the vents and you should see a red flare.  Take it and exit
    through the door.  By the plant should be SC-20k ammo, so take it if you
    need it.  Continue down this little pathway to the next door.  Open it and
    immediately go right.  You will see the turret on the left, and will hear
    two men having a conversation.  Go to the double glass doors, and enter
    151822 in the keypad.  Continue down the hall.

*CHECK POINT*

    At the end of the hallway will be two chemical flares, so pick them up.
    Go into the room with the wooden floors, and look around the corner.  You
    might not be able to see it from there, but there is a turret at the end
    of the room.  Make sure you are in crouch position and make a run for the
    broken window on the opposite side of you.  Go to the wall and turn right.
    Make a run for another broken window and turn left to the next hallway.

    Continue down until you get to the room with a camera over a door.  Shoot
    it and continue through the door.

*CHECK POINT*

    Enter the door at the end of this pathway, and you should see a room with
    a yellowish-greenish light.  There are two guards in there, so you're
    going to want to get their attention.  The best and possibly easiest way I
    found was to just sorta run past the doorway.  Then hide under the little
    fuse box or whatever it is.  Stay there, and one of the guards should come
    out.  Wait for him to turn and go left.  When he does, follow him and 
    knock him out.  Take his satchel with the frag grenade, and if you
    need it, grab the two Med Kits at the end of the hall.

    Peek into the room to see where the other guard is.  You'll want him to
    be on the right side of the room, since it will be much easier to sneak up
    on him.  As he makes his way to the left side of the room, make your way
    into the shadows of the room.  Hide behind the computer terminals and wait
    for him to come back around.  Then get behind him and knock him out.  Exit
    this room through the door on the left.

7.5 Tap the microwave relay: There will be a technician working at the 
    computers.  Grab him and interrogate him.  When you are done, use the red
    computer.  When the conversation is over, exit through the door on the
    right.

*SAVE POINT*

7.6 Stow away on the waste train for extraction: Enter the door on the other
    side of the room, and continue to the next room and go upstairs.  You
    might see a guard go left down the hall, so follow him.  Wait for him to
    go over by the computers, then hit him with a Ring Airfoil.  Run up to
    him and knock him out if you need to.  Use the computer to get a data
    stick.  Now, look around the corner, and you may see a man with a shotgun.
    Wait for him to turn around, then follow him.  Grab him, bring him into a
    dark area, and knock him out.  Take his satchel with the Med Kit if you
    need it.  There is nothing interesting in the room across from the vending
    machine, except for a Med Kit.

    Continue down the hall and there will be a door with a key code.
    Grimsdottir will send you the code on your OPSAT.  Enter 795021 to get in.

*CHECK POINT*

    Go to where the opening in the floor is and jump down onto the platform
    on the left.  Then jump onto the red pipe and slide down to the bottom.
    Jump down to the right from up top and go into the little silverish
    colored vent like thing on the bottom.  Don't worry if they see you.  Just
    get to the end, and you might see a guard standing by the door.  You can
    just use a sticky shocker or whatever to knock him out, or wait for him to
    move and just run to the door.  Open it.

8.  Chinese Embassy, Yangon, Myanmar
    November 11th, 2004, 20:13 hours


MISSION BRIEFING:
Find the Georgian/Chinese connection.  Using intelligence gleaned from the 
Pickett Gap Program, Third Echelon has traced communications between Nikoladze
and the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar.  any suspected connection between
Nikoladze and The People's Republic of China must be proven before any action
can be taken.

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
8.1 Rendezvous with the agency contact.
8.2 Collect intelligence from the Embassy with the laser mic.
8.3 Follow the truck into the embassy grounds from the warehouse.
8.4 Trail Kong Feirong to his car and laser mic it to intercept his
    conversation.
8.5 Rendezvous with Coen for transportation to Mouke Tsoe Bo Meats.
NOTE: The missions will go from 8.2 to 8.3 back to 8.2.

DO NOT:
Kill anyone.
    

    You start out in front of a white SUV, with a woman standing in front of
    you.  Walk up to her and talk to her.  You know you want you.  Anyway,
    she'll give you some information, blah blah blah.  You learn that you
    can't kill anyone, so if you followed my FAQ exactly, then all that no
    killing has paid off, and it should be sort of easier.

    Turn to your left, and jump over the wooden fence.  As you walk down, you
    will see a soldier down the path.  While Lambert is talking to you, look
    to the left-side wall, and you should see an opening.  Quickly hide in
    there, and wait for the soldier to pass.  As soon as he passes you,
    quickly, but quietly sneak up behind him and knock him out.  This guy turns
    around pretty quickly, so look out.  When he's out, pick up the satchel
    with the data stick.

8.1 Rendezvous with the agency contact: You have now received your objectives.
    Continue down the path and shoot out the light over the dumpster on the
    right.  At the end, there should be a soldier on the left side.  Wait for
    him to go right.  When he is more towards the right side, start to follow
    him.  Grab him and knock him out.  If he turns around and sees you,
    elbow him twice, so you don't get shot.  Continue down the left where
    there is a flaming barrel.  Turn right and there should be a ladder.  Climb
    it.

*CHECK POINT*

    Make a right and go onto the wooden platform.  There are two soldiers
    below, so be careful and quiet.  If one of them says they saw something,
    just continue and go up the ladder.  If you look to the right, you should
    see a light over a door.  Shoot it out.  make your way across using the
    rope that goes from where you are to the door.  Pick up the Med Kit on 
    the other side.  Now face the door, and look to the left of it.  You
    will see a ledge.  Make your way across, and follow it to the ladder.
    Before you go down, make sure there is no one around.  If one of the 
    soldiers hears you or thinks they see something when you are down the
    ladder, wait for him to come over to the ladder.  Hide behind the dumpster
    so he won't see you.  When his back is turned to you, knock him out.  Hide
    his body in the shadows, and don't worry about the other guy.  If you look
    around, there should be a pipe that you climb.  It's next to a blue fence
    with red posters on it.

    Once you have climbed over, run across the overhang, and if you look to
    your right at the end, you will see two soldiers coming.  Run back into
    the shadows and you should be able to see one pass by.  Wait a bit, and
    you should see the other guy start to come your way.  When he stops, whip
    out your Diversion Camera, make some noise, and knock him out with the gas.
    Make sure you can see his full upper-body and is close to the center when
    you release the gas.  Do the same thing to the other guy that went to the
    left.  Pick up the satchel with the data stick from the first guy.  Go
    around the fence where the soldier on the left should have been, go down
    the ladder, and enter the sewers.

*SAVE POINT*

    First, run straight, then make a left.  Quietly make your way down to the 
    other end, about halfway there, you should see some soldiers making their
    way from right to left while having a conversation.  While they are walking
    away, start to follow them.  Stop in front of the first light you see when
    you start following them, and shoot it out.  You can shoot the one behind
    you if you like, but it's not necessary.  Continue down, and when one of
    the soldiers stops at the next light.  Let his friend walk on down the path
    a bit more before you shoot out the light.

    After you shoot it out, quickly, but of course, quietly, make your way to
    the guy under the light you just shot out.  Now before you do this, you
    would probably like to know that there is someone behind the gate on the
    entrance to the right, and that the soldier that was walking away will
    stop, turn around, and come back.  The guy on the right shouldn't be a
    problem.  The guy under the light doesn't seem as if he is going anywhere,
    so don't worry about him.  The only guy you have to worry about is the one
    coming back, so you'll want to grab the guy that was under the light, drag 
    him back a bit (about 15 feet) and knock him out.

    Now, the guy that is coming back will go into that right entrance.  Sneak
    up to the corner, and look around to see what he's doing.  When he comes
    back, slowly back away from the corner.  He should go back around from the
    way he came.  When he does, you can try to sneak up behind him and knock
    him out.  I just found it easier to hit him with a sticky shocker.

    Run to the back where the guy you just knocked out was going.  Run around
    the bend.  Shoot out the first shootable light you see at the other end of
    the bend.  There should be another soldier at the other end.  This is the
    guy that was to the right behind the gate before.  Quietly sneak up to his
    location, and wait for him to make a turn to the right.  Now, while still
    trying to be sneaky, just go up to him, grab him, and knock him out.  If
    he turns around, you should still have time to elbow him twice before he
    shoots.  When he's out, pick up his satchel with a data stick.  Now, go
    back to where you shot out that last light, and climb the ladder above.

*CHECK POINT*

    Get to the top of the ladder, but before you climb out, quickly look to
    your right.  There should be a soldier with his back turned to the you.
    Quickly and quietly climb out, sneak up behind him, grab him, drag him over
    behind the sheet on your left, go over to the corner closest to you, and
    knock him out.  You don't have a lot of time, because one of his buddies is
    coming from behind to check up on him.  If the body sticks out, quickly
    pick it up, and bring it over more towards the corner, and drop it.  Now
    hug the wall.  The other guy will come over, and even check behind the
    sheet where you are, and, well, for me, he didn't even notice me or the
    body.  He should go back to where he came from, and when he does, follow
    him.  If he does, quickly smash him in the face twice with your elbow.
    Otherwise, just do the ol' grab 'em and knock 'em.  Take his satchel with
    the data stick.

    Turn around, and you should see a red ladder to your right going up.  
    Climb it.  Turn to your right, and you should see a red pipe above that 
    you could use to make your way across.  When your make it across, jump up
    into the window to the left.  In that room, there should be a pipe to
    climb on the wall in front of you, a little to the left.  After you climb,
    turn around and go into the door on your right to meet up with the 
    informant.  When the conversation is done, walk on out, and to your left
    should be a Med Kit.  Move on forward to where you see a more yellow sign,
    you will see a platform.  Run up onto it, and go to the pipe on the right.
    Rapple down the wall.

8.2 Collect intelligence with the laser mic: You start out with a door to in
    front of you on the right.  Next to it, there's an object that you can
    pick up.  Quietly, walk on over and grab it.  Oh, and you don't really
    want to shoot out that light above the dumpster.  It makes the thing that
    I'm about to show you a bit harder to do.

    Now, stand up, run into the door on the right (the one where you found the
    object lying next to it) and run on over to the other door, so you make a
    noise that will attract the attention of the solider around the corner,
    but don't leave the room.  Just peek around the corner, while still
    standing.  You'll see a soldier coming around the corner.  Wait until he
    starts to come towards you.  When he does, back away from the door a bit,
    and get ready to throw that bottle.  He'll enter the room, and stop in the
    middle.  When he does, aim the bottle at his face, and throw it right at
    him.  It might take a little practice, but you'll get it.  If you miss, or
    fail to knock him out with the throw, either 1. He'll be distracted by the
    broken glass, so just knock him out from behind, or 2. He might be stunned
    a bit, so just run on up to him and smash him in the face with your elbow.
    Pick up his satchel with the data stick.

    Continue through the door the soldier had come through, and peek around
    the corner.  At the other end, you should see a shootable light.  Snipe
    it out.  Make your way to the other end of the ally, and peek around the
    right side.  You should see a soldier making his way towards you, stopping
    and looking every few steps.  The first time you see him stop walking to
    look around, quickly, but of course, stealthfully make your way across
    to where you had shot out that light.  To the right should be a red ladder.
    Climb it, and walk a little bit on the wooden plank.  You should see 
    another red ladder to your left on the wall.  Climb up.  When you get off,
    walk forward and go left into the entrance.  

    Quietly make your way through the room.  When you come to the hallway with
    lights shinning through the window, at there other end, there will be a
    room leading to a balcony in which there is a soldier standing outside.
    When you get to this room, peek around the corner to see where he is.  But
    before you can do anything...

*CHECK POINT*

    If the CHECK POINT comes up just as you're about to jump this guy, wait
    until he comes around again.  I learned that the hard way.  When he comes
    back towards you, enter the balcony when his back is turned, grab him, pull
    him back inside, and knock him out.  Pick up his satchel with the data 
    stick.

    If you continue down the hall, there is another, darker entrance to the
    balcony.  Take this route.  Look down to make sure that the guy below is
    not looking at you.  It's best to make sure he is towards the right side
    of the balcony.  When he is, jump up onto the box, or whatever it is, that
    is below the light.  Above should be a line in which you can use to slide
    across to the other side.

    On the other side, get off the overhang, and go over into the ally on your
    left.  The one in front of you has a soldier in there, but that way leads
    to nowhere, and that guy doesn't have anything special on him.  Anyway, in
    the alley on your left, there are two Chinese lights hanging above.  Shoot
    them both out.  When you shoot them, you'll see a little flame, but it goes
    out quickly.  Continue quietly down the alley, until you come to a ladder.
    Peek around the corner until you see a soldier come around.  wait over
    behind the fence, and he should climb the ladder.  When he does, quickly
    and quietly make your way through the alley under the balcony, before the
    guy comes down the ladder.  Now, quickly make your way over to the dumpster
    and do a wall jump over the wall behind the dumpster before the guy comes.

*SAVE POINT*

8.3 Follow the truck into the embassy: As you continue down this narrow alley,
    you'll see a pickup truck fly by.  Quickly make your way to the end of the
    alley, and make a right.  You'll see a guard, but you don't have to worry
    about him if you just quickly and quietly make your way around by staying
    close to the walls in the shadows bay the boxes and such.  He should pass
    you without a problem.

    Now, you will see an entrance in which the truck had entered, waiting for
    authorization.  Before you go anywhere, you'll also see, to the top right
    of the big gate, a security camera.  Shoot it out, and quietly make your
    way to where the truck is.  To it's left, you will see a soldier in the
    booth waiting give the truck driver authorization.  While they are talking,
    quickly come up behind the guy in the booth and knock him out.  The gate
    will open, allowing you to go through.  But first, pick up the man's
    satchel with the data stick inside.

8.2 (Cont'd) Now, continue left.  To your right, there should be a soldier
    patrolling the area.  When his back is turned, you can just quickly make
    your way to the left without a hitch.  As you continue down the left, you
    will see the truck, and further down, the embassy (yay!) and a patrolling
    soldier (boo!).  No need to worry.  Just stick to the shadows on the wall
    opposite of the embassy, and you won't need to get your hands dirty.  When
    you make it to the end of this alley, turn left towards the bushes, past
    the little pond thing.

*CHECK POINT*

    While making your way into the bushes, it'll go to a little cut scene,
    showing a guy talking on the phone in a room above.  Whip out your laser
    mic, point it up at the man, and listen in.  You'll know when the 
    conversation begins when the box in the middle turns red, and it ends when
    box turns back to green.

DO NOT:
Kill anyone.
Sound any alarms.
Get seen or raise enemy suspicion at all until the conversation has been 
  caught.

8.4 Laser min the general's car: Come out from around the bushes to the left,
    but stay by them.  Wait for the general's car to appear, and whip out your
    laser mic again.  Aim it at the car.  You'll see the general enter the car.
    Keep the mic aimed at the car.  When the conversation is finished, go to
    your left where one of the soldiers is, standing by the door.

ALL "DO NOTS" NO LONGER APPLY

8.5 Rendezvous with Coen: Knock out the guard mentioned above with a Sticky
    Shocker.  Hide his body in the shadows if you want.  Make your way across
    the embassy entrance.  You should have no problems here if you move quietly
    enough.  Just be careful of the guard in the booth and the camera to the
    top left of the gate.  Make your way carefully to the wall with the 
    barbwire on top, and go right, through the bushes, and you should come
    upon a pipe you can use to climb over the wall.  Jump down and talk with
    Coen.  Now, my question is, couldn't you have just had Coen drive you over
    to the embassy, so you didn't have to go through all this trouble?  I mean,
    it seems she got over behind that wall just fine.

MISSION BRIEFING:
In a desperate act of defiance against the US, Nikoladze arranges the
immediate, live web-cast executions of the captured US soldiers.  Vyacheslav
Grinko will direct the soldiers' deaths.  The executions must be prevented to
preserve any hope of establishing political relations with the Chinese

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
9.1 Access the antenna on the abattoir roof and destroy its broadcast ability.
9.2 Locate the captured American soldiers and Chinese dignitaries.
9.3 Protect the U.S. soldiers and Chinese dignitaries.
9.4 Kill Grinko


9.1 Destroy the antenna's broadcasting ability: You start out in a little
    corner between a fence and a concrete wall.  There are two soldiers in
    this area.  Quietly walk up just a little bit past the sheet on the fence
    to your right, and wait until one of the soldiers comes in your direction.
    He'll stop, wait, turn around, wait for about two seconds, and go back to
    where he came.  Follow him.  He'll stop under the light by the two barrels.
    When he does, grab him, bring him back to where you started, and knock him
    out.  The other soldier should not bother you while you do this.

    Climb the fence where you see that big concrete box thing on the other
    side.  Sit and wait there for the guy patrolling the other side to come
    over in your direction.  He'll stay behind that other fence.  When you get
    a clear shot, whip out your Ring Airfoil Rounds, and knock him out.
    Continue to the door at the other end, and go through that room.  You can
    also just jump over the wall if you feel like it.

*CHECK POINT*

    You intercept a communication, telling you that there are mines in that
    area.  Hooray.  Turn on your thermal goggles.  If you went through the
    door, do not go through the gate entrance.  Instead, turn right and go in
    that direction until you reach the end.  Then, turn left and climb the
    fence.  To your right, you will see two mines flashing.  There is no way
    of walking past them, just to let you know.  If you look up above to your
    immediate right, you will see, or at least hear, a guard.  If you look a 
    little to the back, you will see a guard by the searchlight.  Make your
    way forward to the first box.  Make sure the guard that was to your
    immediate right is not looking in your direction.  Climb the box, and jump
    into the one on the right.

    Now, face the guard by the searchlight, and make your way to the right
    side of the box you are now in.  If you try to exit on the left, you'll
    jump onto a mine.  Exit on the right.  If you look a not so far distance in
    front of you, you'll see two mines in between two boxes.  Turn off your
    thermal goggles, and watch the searchlight.  When it reaches over towards
    your left, move forward about 5-10 feet, then make your way over to the
    big box on the left by the wall.  Climb in.  Continue into the next box
    over, but make sure the searchlight is not pointed in your direction.
    Climb out of the box so you are pretty much under the balcony where the
    searchlight is.  If you exit through the right, you'll step on a mine.

    Before you go anywhere, watch the guard in the back on the balcony, right
    where you first entered this area.  Also, heads up for the searchlight.
    When the guy on the back balcony is turned around, make your way to the
    door down on the right.  Use the boxes as cover if needed.  Oh, and now
    it should be safe to turn off the thermal goggles.  In the room you have
    just entered, if you made it through the minefield successfully, jump up
    into that opening above the spider web.  Walk in.

*CHECK POINT*

    Take a right through this little path and exit through the opening.  Make
    a left, walk a little bit, and you should see a small, concrete path going
    across the roof on your right.  Stepping on the roof will alert the guards,
    so take the path instead.  Follow it until you get to a fence, and then
    jump up.  Shimmy across the thing, and drop onto the concrete path.  Turn
    left, and you should see a path made with wooden planks.  Walk onto it, and
    jump up to grab the thing hanging above.  Climb across this to get to the
    other side.

    When on the other side, jump down onto the larger concrete path, not the
    one up against the wall.  Follow it to the fence where the antenna is, and
    climb over it.  Go to the antenna, and switch it off.  It will go to a 
    cut scene, and after it, soldiers will be out looking for you.

    One soldier will come out from the balcony to the left of you.  Quickly
    climb back over the fence from the way you came, and wait for him to come.
    Select your sticky shockers and wait.  When he comes out, wait until you
    get a clear shot, and then shock him.

9.2 Locate the hostages: Climb over the fence again.  Grab the satchel with the
    data stick from the guy that you just knocked out.  The satchel has a code
    that you need for a door.  Continue up the balcony from where the soldier
    had come from, making sure you don't make any loud noises.  Continue down
    the balcony and go into the door to the right at the end.  use the lock
    pick to open it.  When you open the door, shoot out the light above you.
    Go to the door on the right, and enter 770215 into the keypad.  Open the
    door.

*SAVE POINT*

    Go forward and down the stairs, and shoot the light above you.  Continue
    quietly into the door on the left.  When you enter, there will be two
    soldiers below, one under the balcony, and one on the other side of the
    room, behind the wall.  Turn to your right, and you will see some barrels.
    Jump up onto them, then jump up onto the beam above.  Put your legs up for
    maximum stealth, and being able to get around the wall.  Go across to the
    other side of the wall where you'll see one of the guys using the urinal, 
    then washing his hands.  When he goes to wash his hands, go across the
    beam until you are above the sink, then drop down on the guy, knocking him
    out.

    Now, turn around, and go up to the edge of the wall on the right.  Peek
    around, and you will see the other guard standing by the entrance to the
    room.  Equip your Diversion Camera, take a look around the corner, making
    sure the guard does not see you, and shoot it near him on the floor.  Do
    not make any sounds, as it will alert another guard in the hallway, which
    may make this more difficult.  Just release the gas and knock him out.
    Grab his body, and drag it over to the left where the lockers are, and hide
    him in the corner.  To the right of the door the guy was guarding, there's
    a Med Kit on the table.  Grab it.  There's nothing useful in the computer.

    Exit the room and go left.  Shoot out the lights if you wish.  When you
    come to the end, make a left, but don't enter the vent just yet.  Go to the
    next door, and look in using your optic cable.  You'll see a guy sitting
    down.  Open the door, quietly walk up to him, and grab him.  Then, start
    interrogating him.  You're done when he says "Kill me."  Well, I'm not a
    savage, so I just knock him out.  Turn around, and on your left will be
    another useless computer.  Behind it, you will see some ammo, and, if you
    like, you can also switch out the light.

    Exit the room and go back into the vent on the floor.  Go through it and
    climb up the pipe.  Exit through the opening up top.  Turn right, and
    walk as slow as possible, making your way to the end, turning left, and
    seeing an opening on the right.  There are two soldiers directly below.
    Equip your Diversion Camera, and shoot it in between the two.  Knock them
    out with the gas.  Both of them also have satchels.  One with a Med Kit,
    the other with a frag grenade.  Lets hope you don't have to use either of 
    them.

    Shoot out the lights in this hall, and turn around to the door with the
    smoke coming out of it.  This room is a meat freezer.  Enter it.

*CHECK POINT*

    Turn on your thermal goggles, so it will help you see enemies through the
    smoke more clearly.  Enter the room quietly.  There is a soldier on the
    right in the back.  Stay on your side, and enter quietly.  Watch the guy
    go over to the door you came in from.  He'll see that the lights have been
    shot out.  He'll go back to where he was when you first entered the room.
    Follow him.  When he stops, quickly grab him and knock him out.  Enter the
    next room through the little floppy plastic things, and there should be a
    guy in the back of the room.  Watch his patrol, as he goes around in the
    same path.  Stay on the right side.  The best I can tell you about this is
    to just stay behind him, and knock him out the second you get a chance,
    because he doesn't stop for long.

    After you have knocked him out, go back to where you entered the room,
    and this time, go to the left side of the room.  Jump over any obstacles in
    the way.  You will come to a turret at the exit of the room.  Go to the
    suitcase and deactivate the turret.  Enter the next room, and go to the end
    of it.  In the next room, there are two guards.  Wait until one of the
    guards passes the entrance before you decide to enter.  There's a guard on
    the left and another on the right.  When he does, quietly enter the room,
    and jump up onto one of the freezers, or whatever it is, on the right.  
    Wait for the right side guard to come over towards you, and, when the time
    is right, jump on him and knock him out.

    Continue down the right side, and in between the two freezers, you'll see
    an opening in which you can crouch under.  Go through and stay in the
    middle of the room.  On the other side, there is a box in between the
    two freezers.  Before you climb onto the box, wait for the guard to come, 
    turn around, and walk away.  When he does, climb up and jump up onto the
    pipe above.  Put your feet up so you can get through.  Go to the next room
    while still doing this.  If you drop down, you'll get shot by the turret.
    Go all the way to the end and drop down.

    When you drop down, turn around and quietly go to the right.  Deactivate
    the turret.  Go back to where you jumped off the pipe, turn around and
    look at the two large freezers in front of you.  Quietly jump up onto the 
    one on the left.  If you look down, you can see a guard.  Jump down on
    him and knock him out.  (PLEASE NOTE!: For some reason, I went past this
    guy at one point, without knocking him out, and I didn't get a Check 
    Point).  Go back to where you jumped down from again, and go forward a bit
    and make a left.  Pick up the Med Kit on the counter.  Now, make a right
    from the counter, jump over the table, and make a left to exit the room. 
 
*CHECK POINT*

    Make a left.  If you have your thermal goggles on, you should be able to
    see a light above that you can shoot.  Shoot it out.  I'm not sure if
    it does any good though.  Peak around the corner, and you will see a
    guard patrolling the area.  Come out from around the corner, move to where
    he will be going, and back up a little, so he won't see you.  When he is
    the closest he will get to you, wait for him to turn around.  When he does,
    immediately grab and knock him out.  Continue down that hall, and in the
    doorway to the right, there should be a guard standing there.  Grab him,
    drag him back a bit, and knock him out.  

    When you enter the room, look to your right, and you should see a guard
    standing there.  Grab him, drag him out of the room, and knock him out.
    Go to the back of the room, and you will see a vent on the floor, which is
    more towards the right side of the room.  Enter it and go right.  At the
    end, jump out, and shoot out the light above.  To the right of the
    staircase is a Med Kit.

    Quietly go down the stairs.  Wait over by the door, and you will see a
    guard go by.  Wait for him to go from left to right.  When he comes back
    from the right, he'll stop just long enough for you to grab him and knock
    him out.  Enter the room, make your first right, and turn the switch all
    the way at the end.  Enter the opening.

*SAVE POINT*

    Quietly run down this tunnel and make a right at the last exit.  To your
    left should be an opening to another hallway, but a guard is currently in
    there.  In front of you should be a small area with a little lamp that's
    lit.  Run into the back behind the lamp in that area before the guard
    passes the opening in the hallway.  You should be able to hear faint 
    footsteps from the guard.  When he stops, shoot out the light, and it 
    should get his attention.  When he walks in, shoot him in the head with a
    Ring Airfoil Round.  Knock him out with your elbow if needed.  Once he's
    down, pick up the Satchel with the Data Stick and hide the body.

    Go into the hallway the guard came from and make a left.  As you go down
    the hall, you'll see an opening on your right.  On the left, there should
    be a stack of boxes with a flare on top.  Take that, and go to the opening.
    Grab the SC-20K ammo and make a right.  Hug the wall to take a peek around
    the corner.  You should hear a conversation between two men talking about 
    Nikoladze.  When they're done, quietly make your way down the hall and take
    the first left.  You should see a little opening in front of you that you 
    can jump into.  Make your way through the spider web (you don't need to 
    shoot out the light) and onto the other side.  There should be a turret.
    Disable it.  Once that's done, take out your SC-20K and equip the Diversion
    Camera.  Aim it in the area of the two men and release the gas to knock
    them out.  Hide both bodies and grab the Satchel with the Data Stick that
    one of them dropped.

    In the next section of the hallway, there will be a turret in the last
    stall on the left.  You should be able to easily dodge by rolling by.  You
    might get hit once or twice, but if you followed this guide step by step,
    you should have a good amount of Med Kits.  If you want to take a chance,
    you can roll in there and disable it.  Once that's done, continue down the
    hall and make a left.

*CHECK POINT*

    Go down this hallway and in the corner by the boxes should be a Med Kit.
    Turn right and head through the sheet with the steer on it.  Make a right
    and go through another one of those sheets.  If you look a bit forward and
    to the left, you should see a small, dark opening in the wall with a spider
    web in it.  Hide in there, and two guards should be coming around the
    corner at this time.  They will continue down the hallway and stop right in
    front of you.  Let them finish their conversation, and they will continue
    down the hall and go behind the sheet.  Continue down the hall from the
    direction they came from until you reach the...

*CHECK POINT*

    Go towards the end of the hall and make the last right.  Go straight into
    the room until you hit the small gray wall with three black garbage bags
    in the corner.  Turn right and make a left into the first opening, then
    right, then turn left onto the wooden walkway.  Head down to the end and
    you will be between two turrets facing away from you.  Deactivate them and
    grab the SC-20K Ammo from the bench.  If you go into the left entrance,
    turn the corner, and on the left of the lockers, there should be a Med Kit.
    Grab it if you need it.  Around the corner, you'll see the soldiers being
    held hostage in the room.  There's not much to do here, but you can engage
    in a bit of small talk if you like.

    Exit that hallway and go to the one on the opposite side of the room where
    the other turret was facing.  Once again, there should be a Med Kit to the
    right of the locker in this hallway.  Also, there will be two Frag Grenades
    in the corner under the light.  In the room at the end, you'll see some
    Chinese people being held hostage, and one of them will start talking to
    you.

*CHECK POINT*

9.3 Protect the hostages: Once you're done talking to him, a cut-scene will
    start, showing soldiers entering the room with the two turrets.  If you're
    doing things my way and trying not to kill anyone, this part is a bit 
    difficult.  Leave the room with the Chinese guys and make your way into the
    turret room.  I suggest that you equip the Sticky Shockers and nail one of
    the two guards that entered the room with one of these.  I only had one
    Shocker and two Airfoils left at this point, so you might have more than
    me, depending on how you followed my guide.

    One of the guys will probably throw a frag to start off.  Wait until he
    does so, then run towards the right side of the room and take cover.  Look
    to see where the two guys are, and wait for them to come towards you.  As
    soon as you have a clear shot, take it.  I prefer to use the Sticky Shocker
    on the first guy.  This way, I don't have to worry about him not getting
    knocked out on the first shot, and I don't have the second guy shooting at
    me while I try to elbow the first guy.  Once the first one is done, the
    second guy will make his way towards you.  When he does, blast him with an
    Airfoil, and elbow him if needed.

    Once those two are done, you'll hear a radio transmission with Grinko
    saying that he's going to come down and kill you himself, and he's bringing
    someone with him.

9.4 Kill Grinko: When I reached this one, I thought to myself, "Oh crap, I made
    this guide for nothing.", but then I tried to see if my "no killing" method
    could still complete this mission.  Grinko will stay back, but his friend
    will come looking for you.  Do the same thing you did with the first two 
    guys.  Wait for him to come to you, and take your shot.  I only had one
    Airfoil left, so I decided to improvise.  I had 12 Stick Cameras left, so I
    just nailed Grinko's friend in the face with one (you have to aim little
    bit above the head in order to actually hit him in the head).  Once I was
    done with him, I picked the camera up and headed for Grinko.

    Grinko will hide behind the wall in between the two entry ways into the
    room, or will only go up to the first gray wall.  This part is sort of up
    to you on how you want to approach it.  If you have enough health, you can
    just run up to him and elbow him in the face.  One or two hits should do
    the trick.  Just wait for him to reload.  If not, hit him with something,
    like an Airfoil or Sticky Camera.  Both methods work.  No matter what you
    do to Grinko, once he's out cold, you'll receive a radio transmission with
    someone yelling that Grinko is dead.  I guess I might have hit him a 
    little too hard.  Anyway, once he's done, the mission is finally over.

A: This is a question I get a lot.  People just seem to be really lazy.  You
   have to look through this damn walkthrough if you want to know the answer.
   Everything I know is stated within this guide.  I made it to help you, not
   hide information from you, like the government.  Also, I made this FAQ, and
   so far, I have not taken a single soul, so if you follow this guide
   directly, you'll never run out of ammo, unless you're a really bad shot
   when it comes to shooting out the lights.

Q: I need help with a certain part of the guide, and your strategy isn't
   working.  Can you help me out?
A: Well, if you really need help, I'll do my best to go back to that level and
   try again.  It sucks that my strategy doesn't work for all, but oh well.
   If a different technique is greatly needed, I might post something within
   that section requesting another way to complete the objective, WITHOUT
   KILLING ANYONE!

Q: I need to get through the door, but I don't know how to get by the guard.
   What do I do?
A: Tell me the section of the guide in which this is in.  There are a lot of
   guards by doors, my friend.

Q: Can I host your FAQ on my website?
A: It all depends.  If your site offers premium services, where people have
   to pay to view certain things, than don't even look this way.  I don't
   believe in such things like that.  The only site I will allow to have my FAQ
   that has premium services is faqs.ign.com.  Other sites, like ones that are
   looking to start up and all, or have a good rep, will be most likely be 
   allowed to have this posted on their site.  They still need to ask for

Q: I have Splinter Cell for a system other than PS2, and I'm stuck.  Can you

A: If the games are basically the same, then yes.  Otherwise, no.  I only have 
   Splinter Cell for PS2.

I got an e-mail where some guy told me that this FAQ sucked, but I forgot the
