Review by Vedder is Better
"Metal Gear Solid or Sons of Liberty? It's the best of both worlds."
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is one of the best games out there today. This games combines the storyline and gameplay of the Original Metal Gear Solid with the graphics of Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty and/or Substance. Having it be one of the only remakes on the market today, this game amazes even the producers.
The Twin Snakes takes place on a Alaskan Base. Solid Snake is sent in to destroy the weapon capable of launching a nuclear warhead at the White House. You must take on six of the deadliest characters ever created from the mind of Hideo Kojima. They are Revolver Ocelot, Psycho Mantis, Vulcan Raven, Sniper Wolf, Decoy Octopus, and the ring leader of this circus of evil freaks, Liquid Snake. Sounds like the perfect formula for a great game.
This game is realistic in so many ways. If you have never played any of the Metal Gear games before, YOU HAVEN'T LIVED YET!!! The controls are amazing. If you've played The Sons of Liberty or Substance, you will get used to the controls real fast, even though it is a different controller.
Graphics 10/10 what else.
The graphics for this game are way better than say, Madden 2004, or Smackdown. Used before in the Sons of Liberty, these graphics have blown me away whole time i've owned this game. (owned it since opening day.) The graphics in the cutscenes are not any different than when you control Snake. When you come a rainy outside to a dry inside, the coolest thing happens. You leave footprints. But be careful, if enemies see them, they know you are there. you also leave footprints in the snow. It is awesome. The blood you see after you shoot someone is well done. The blood is left there for a very long time.
The sound of hearing the blood splatter on the wall, of hearing the bullets screaming past you is almost like you're actually there. The dialogue is done very well. I don't the voice characters have changed at all form the original game. Which would ultimately give it a nostalgic feeling. Which no one ever wants to go away. Awesome, isn't it.
Lasting Appeal (Depends on what you do. But rating?) 10/10
The reason I say depends on what you do, is that what have things you can get after you beat the game so many times but it depends on if you want to get those. I would.
So if i were you, i would buy this game. You will enjoy it.
