Shadow Sirens: Beldam, Marilyn, and Vivian
Max HP: 9/12/10
When Fought: Go to the second area in the Boggly Woods after talking to Flurrie.
Attacks: Beldam: Punch: Simple attack to one person.
Blizzard: Defense piercing two damage, chance of Freezing. Superguarding will NOT damage Beldam
Grow: Buffs Vivian or Marilyn.
Shrink: Weakens Mario, Goombella, or Koops.
Marilyn: Clap: Simple attack to one person.
Lightning: Defense piercing 2 damage. Superguarding will NOT damage Marilyn.
Charge: Attack up for next attack.
Vivian: Shade Fist: Simple attack to one person.
Fiery Jinx: Defense Piercing two damage. Superguarding will NOT damage Vivian.
Strategy: First: Make sure you've upgraded a part member and that they're out. Take out Beldam in the first turn. If you do, Marilyn and Vivian will stick to their basic attack. Use Earth Tremor to deal six damage to all, which should bring Beldam to 3 HP. Use the upgraded party member to take her out. Marilyn and Vivian should fall shortly after.
CHAPTER BOSS: MAGNUS VON GRAPPLE AND X-FISTS
Max HP: 30/2
When Fought: After Lord Crump uses the Time Bomb, go to the entrance of the tree and trigger the cutscene. Get close to the end of the cutscene before time runs out and the fight will commence.
Attacks: Magnus von Punish: Exclusive to Magnus von Grapple. It stomps one person.
Fires X-Fists: Fires its fists out to attack.
New X-Fists: Attaches X-Fists.
Earthquake: Exclusive to Magnus von Grapple. Shakes the ground, damaging all. Superguarding will NOT damage Magnus.
Punch: Exclusive to X-Fists. They will punch one person.
Strategy: The fight starts wilth Magnus simply using Magnus von Punish. Trade blows until Crump fires the X-Fists. Take out the X-Fists ASAP, as they deal a lot of damage. Multibounce from Shhwonk Fortress and Flurrie's Gale Force can take them out in one move, as well as certain items. Starting at this point, Earthquake will be introduced. Crump does not change his strategy at all after this, so simply fight it out here, remembering to take out the X-fists quickly.
Minor League Championship: Ranked 10 in the Glitz Pit: The Armored Harriers! (Two Iron Clefts.)
Max HP: 6
When Fought: After becoming Rank 11, set up a fight.
Attacks: Charge: Charges like any other Cleft. Superguarding will NOT damage either Cleft.
Strategy: Did you save the egg from being turned into a Hot Dog earlier? If you did, this is the only time you'll have to run. If not, run, get the egg, fight them, then run again. You can't beat these guys yet.
Armored Harriers: Round 2!
Stats: See above. Everything except the Strategy is the same.
Strategy: The Yoshi's Gulp is the ONLY MOVE IN THE ENTIRE GAME that can damage these guys. Use it twice to defeat them.
The Armored Harriers' Revenge!
Stats: See Above.
When Fought: After defeating Rank 7, this fight will happen immediately.
Strategy: The exact same. If you lose, nothing happens, as this fight is not official.
King of the Koopas: Bowser
Max HP: 30
When Fought: Immediately after defeating Rank 5.
Attacks: Jump: Jumps on you. Make sure to Guard or Superguard, or else you'll lose a type of move.
Bite: Bites the one in front.
Fire Breath: Breathes fire on both of you.
Strategy: Quite possibly the simplest fight since Lord Crump. You may be weakened from the previous fight, but it's a simple fight. Bowser uses all of his moves immediately, so just trade blows.
Champion of the Glitz Pit: Rawk Hawk
Max HP: 40
When Fought: Challenge him after learning what's in the locked room on the second floor, then escape the locked locker rooms.
Attacks: Slide: Attacks front character slowly.
Somersault: Somersaults on both characters.
Fly: Flies into front character for 6 damage.
Jump on Ceiling: Summons a Ceiling, which he hangs off on.
Drop Items: Drops items from the ceiling to hurt you and heal him.
Strategy: Like Magnus, Rawk Hawk slowly reveals his moves as the fight progresses. He starts with the Slide, then does the Somersault, then Flies, and, finally brings down the Ceiling. When the Ceiling comes, Earth Tremor, only Quake Hammer, Flurrie's attacks, and, if you have it, Yoshi's Mini-Egg can hit him at this point in the game. Trade blows until he falls.
CHAPTER BOSS: MACHO GRUBBA
Max HP: 60
When Fought: After defeating Rawk Hawk, travel through the vents and examine Grubba's drawers. Enter the Glitz Pit itself and end his reign of terror.
Attacks: Turn Double: Can move twice per turn.
Stat Up: Increases Attack for one turn or Defense for two turns.
Evasive: Becomes Evasive for two turns.
Various Attacks: Has mostly interchangeable attacks, but beware: his punch hits both Mario and his partner.
Strategy: This is the one fight in the whole chapter where you can get a Game Over, considering Grubba intends to silence Mario and drain his energy. Grubba's also very simple, having a predetermined sttack strategy: Turn Double, then one of his Status Buff moves or becoming Evasive followed by an attack. Until he needs to renew the Turn Double. he'll keep changing his Stats and attacking nonstop. His 60 HP may look scary, but he talks after every 15 HP damaged, showing how the fight is easier than the 60 HP leads you to believe. Trade blows until you're done.
