"Takes a bit to get used to, but amazing after that."
Ok, this game deserves a nine. For those who don't like to read, just skip to the bottom, and there's going to be a summary of each section.
Ok, this is the only place the game fails. Everyone looks like a baby. I'm serious. Aren't they a bit young to get married? Well, the cartoony graphics went a little to far in this game. Just about every animal has a head bigger than the rest of it's body. Also, the expressions are a bit odd. I still have to find out what those green lines over the people's heads mean. I think excitement, but not too sure...
Average music, one song per season, the summer song is kinda catchy though. There are two more songs, a friend/love event song, which you rarely hear, and a shop song, which you hear a lot. Overall, it's just average music.
Sound Effects 7/10
Ok, all the animals sound like animals, all the tools sound like they are supposed to, and they are all on time. Except, every once in a while, you will just hear a random chicken cluck, or a cow moo...o_0
No, it's not your old relative passed away, so you have to take over the farm. It's the exciting ranch plan!! Your character notices this, then runs to the town square of flower bud village. There, you are met by the mayor. He asks where you want to live (more below), and what your name is. Then, after you get home, Harvest Sprites knock on your door. They take you to the Harvest Goddess Springs, where you see the Harvest Goddess. She is turned into stone, and the only way to turn her back, is to collect 100 notes! Points for originality.
Average difficulty. It's a bit confusing at first, but you eventually get used to it. The notes are a whole different thing. There are some easy ones (standing still, staying up) and some harder ones (getting married, having a baby). The best way to get notes is to not try. Then you are sure to get them.
Now this is where the game shines through. There is so much to do in this game! You can farm (Duh), you can fish, you can mine, get married (I still think they are a bit too young...), and much more! From the beginning, you choose one land plot out of three (you can eventually buy them all), and each one has it's ups and downs. The ocean has lot's of space, but almost no fertile land. The river has lots of fertile land, and about average space. The town spot has very little space, but it's convenient if you want to have lot's of friends. There's also lots, and lots, and lots of crops! There is so much variety! An up in this game is you can actually ship flowers, but for a low price. You can have chickens, cows, sheep, and horses (yes, plural). You can choose if you are a boy or girl, and for each gender, there is 10 spouses! And, there is a secret character, Jamie, who you can marry either way. Then, you have your baby, and well, continue on with life!
Replay Value 10/10
