      Debuting as one the GameBoy Advance's launch games, Circle of the Moon
    brings a new installment of Castlevania comparable to that of the almighty
    PSX title Symphony of the Night. CotM blends classic side-scrolling
    Castlevania action with RPG elements, along a unique card combat system to aid
    you in your quest against the vile Dracula.
    
      This guide is intended to cover the item and card aspects in Circle of the
    Moon, and nothing more. Don't bug me with walkthrough questions!!

    This section gives general information on the cards.
    
    NOTE: To use the Apollo and Uranus combinations, you must press Down, Forward,
          and Up + Attack to execute the ability. You also must do this to use the
          Pluto + Salamander item crash attack.

              make heavy use out of this combo throughout the game.

              uncovered. Of course, this is a great asset late in the game.

              combination if you can dodge attacks very well.

    Function: Two small fireballs circle around Nathan and damage anything they
              touch. It gives a nice basic defense, but remember that it won't
              protect you from everything.

    Function: An "advanced" version of the above combo, at no extra cost. Instead
              of two objects circling Nathan, there's four. This helps to protect
              you from more projectiles.

    Function: One hella useful combo. If you stand still, your HP will gradually
              regenerate.

              long. The time is useful for escaping from an enemy that you find
              overpowering.

    Function: Turns Nathan into a walking statue that protects him from status
              effects. Movement and jumping abilities are limited.

              damages any enemies. Highly useful if traveling through an area with
              weak foes.

    Function: This combo decreases damage taken by 50%. However, you get blown
              away after being hit. It's useful just as long as you don't fall
              down into a pit or something of that sort.

    Function: A white, circular barrier surrounds Nathan. This is probably the
              best defensive shield you can get.

    Jupiter + Black Dog

    Function: A black hole surrounds Nathan. This barrier does more damage to foes
              than the Jupiter + Unicorn combo does. However, Nathan is "poisoned"
              and will gradually lose HP.

    Function: Changes the whip into a massive sword of flames. Strength gets a
              boost when this is used.

    Mars + Serpent

    Function: Changes the whip into a short sword of ice. Enemies can become
              frozen when hit. Strength is decreased.

    Mars + Mandragora

    Function: Summons a large sword of roses. Strength is also increased (a bit
              higher than the Salamander combo).

    Function: My personal favorite. Changes the whip into a sledgehammer that
              damages any nearby ground enemies. A bit slow but fun to use.

    Function: Now you can attack with a purdy blue tonfer that can Stone enemies.
              Attack power receives a very nice boost with this.

              attack button. Then release it to fire a beam. This attack would be
              more useful if you could move the imp around whenever he's
