"Steer Clear of This Worthless Junk"

OK, before I begin, I would just like to tell everyone to stay away from this game. After you read my review and most of the other reviews on it, you'll probably agree.

GRAPHICS: 9/10
Iridion 3D's only good point is the graphics. You'll fly through beautifully designed levels - through asteroid belts, over the ocean, through man-made garbage disposal chutes, and more. The ships and bosses aren't bad at all, and most will catch your eye as you play, if you ever do.

The graphics are wonderful, but they are greatly overshadowed by the other horrible elements of the game.

STORYLINE: 1/10
Is there even a story? You will learn somewhere along the lines (probably through reading the manual or the back of the box) that you are humanity's last chance against an evil alien scourge. And that's it. There is no plot; you merely continue through the seven levels blasting away at enemies. If you are looking for a game with a groundbreaking story, or any story at all, find something else.

GAMEPLAY: 3/10
I never spent enough time playing the game to become familiar with the control scheme. It didn't really seem to work anyway. Fire with one button, switch weapons with another move with the Control Pad...

The game didn't have enough features, either. As you fly through the extremely linear levels, you'll pick up worthless power-ups and shoot enemies. If you manage to survive the level, you will fight a boss. Repeat for the game's seven levels, and you're done. Overall it wasn't very fun.

REPLAY VALUE: 0/10
What to say here..? If you can't stand a game the first time, there is no point to playing it again. If you have nothing to do and feel like blasting through enemies and space junk, well, this game isn't even worth it for that.

OVERALL: 2/10
I don't even know why I gave this game such a high rating. The only thing that turned me on about Iridion 3D was the graphics, and if you've ever seen my posts on, for example, the Zelda Gamecube board, you'll know that I don't believe graphics make a game. So the game gets a 2/10 and you should be enlightened enough now to know to keep away from Iridion 3D.

And that's my review for Iridion 3D. I own the game and I never, ever play it. If you read this review, do the right thing and don't buy it. You'll end up with a broken heart and $20 poorer.
