"These Mario remakes = Excellent"

Story
One night, Mario was asleep, and he was dreaming he was climbing a long staircase. When he reached the top he saw a door. He opened it, and another world spread out before his eyes. He heard a voice crying for help to be freed from a spell, then suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck and
Mario woke up in shock. He had fallen out of bed!

Later that day, Mario talked to Luigi, Peach and Toad about this weird dream he had. They decided to go for a picnic to cool things off. They went to a nearby cave for the picnic, and once they finished, they went inside the
cave and found a large staircase. They climbed the staircase to the top, where they found a door. The door swung open to reveal the world that Mario saw in his dream! Danger awaits inside!

Graphics: 10/10
Much improved over the original. The graphics are colorful and easy to see. At the character select screen, Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach look much better. Enemies have been designed well too. I also loved how Nintendo programmed the waterfalls. They look 3D, and so do the logs at come down the waterfalls, even in the Nintendo and Super Nintendo versions. This game has the Super Nintendo graphics, including the backgrounds, which have been designed well too.

Gameplay: 10/10
This section has been improved too. You pick up vegetables from the ground and throw them at enemies to defeat them. Now, some vegetables you pick up might be a heart, which recovers your health. Sometimes when you pick up a vegetable, it might be an enemy. You go through 20 levels in this game. You can use Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Toad to go through these levels. Each character has different abilities. Also new, Nintendo added ''A'' coins in this game, and you earn a 1-Up if you collect all 5 in a level (100 Coins total in this game). Then, when you beat the game, you get the Yoshi Challenge, where you must find Yoshi Eggs throughout the game, found in Subspace. Also, Nintendo included the Mario Brothers Arcade in this game too.

Music: 10/10
The music in this game is great! At the choose a game screen, the music is good, and so is the character select screen. During gameplay, all the music is good. I also love the music just when you defeat a World Boss. There is also new music for when you go down a vase, and the music is still good. In Subspace, the Super Mario Brothers theme song plays, and it's still good. So overall the music in this game is good.

Sound Effects: 10/10
The sound effects in this game are good too. The character voices are good, and and so are the boss voices. Other sound effects, like picking up a vegetable, or going down a vase, have decent sound effects too. So overall the sound effects in this game are good.

Replayability: 10/10
It's fun playing this game again! When you beat the game, you can go back and get the A Coins you missed, and get the Yoshi Eggs. You can also play this game again to try and improve your top score too. So, this game is still fun playing again!

Mario Brothers Arcade

Graphics: 10/10
The graphics have been much improved over the original. The graphics in this game are colorful and easy to see, and Mario looks good. The enemies and backgrounds have a nice design too.

Gameplay: 8/10
This is pretty much straightforward gameplay. To defeat an enemy, you must get below the ledge they're on, then knock them over by hitting them under the ledge they're on, then get on the ledge and kick him into the water. To beat the phase, you must defeat all the *main* enemies in that phase. Some of the phases are Bonus Games, where you can get an extra life by collecting all the coins at the Bonus Game. Starting with the 3rd Bonus Game, the ledges will become invisible, so watch out. Also, this game doesn't have a good selection of enemies, there are only 4 (besides fireballs).

Also, there is a multiplayer option in this game, where you need a GameBoy Advance Link Cable and Super Mario Advance 1, 2, this game, or 4. You can choose to play cooperative play in Classic Mode, where you play the phases together. Or face off in Battle Mode, where you must collect 5 coins to win. When playing 2 Player Battle Mode, there is a Garbage Can, where you can go in and grab in item. To gain coins, you must defeat enemies, and coins will come out of the pipe for each enemy defeated. Or on 3-4 player Battle Mode, there is no Garbage Can, where you just collect the coins. You can have 2-4 players in either Classic or Battle Mode.

Sound Effects: 10/10
The sound effects are good in this game. Mario sounds good, and defeating an enemy, and collecting a coin sound good, while others sound good too.

Music: 9/10
The music is good too. I love the Bonus Game music, it sounds really good. Also, the music in the phases sound good too. The beginning of the phase isn't bad either. The phase music isn't bad either. This game is also short on music too.

Replayability: 6/10
It may get boring playing this game again, because if you get game over on a really high phase, you'll have to start from scratch from Phase 1. Or, you can replay this to improve your phase and score.

Rent or Buy?
Buy, Buy, BUY!!! You'll love this game. This game is for you if you are looking for a game that's fun to complete 100%. Also, if you have the money, also get Super Mario Advance 2, 3, or 4. I have the first 3, and I know I'll love the Super Mario Brothers 3 remake.

Overalls:

Super Mario Brothers 2: 10/10
Mario Brothers Arcade: 9/10

Both are very good games too.
