"This is far beyond "Golden." If that's even possible"
This game is a must-have game for the GBA, it's a great series. Mind you, any game from Camelot is a great series.
Game play: 9/10
The game play is damn near flawless. It's wonderful. So much stuff to do, so much stuff you can change, it's unique. it really is. The various types of Psynergy you can use. It gets more powerful the more you level up. Something that I like to see. Your Psynergy also changes when you switch Djinn around with your characters, thus getting more powerful, exotic Psynergy. You can also get weapons that can unleash things, thus making weapons that can unleash more powerful than they seem. Great game play, and I think more games should have something like it
This games gets straight to the point (well, maybe not STRAIGHT to the point. you have to play for about an hour till you know what to do). Collect the Element Stars! That's what I like to see. No getting side-tracked at the beginning, just go got 'em! That's what I like to see; sure, you'll get a bit sidetracked from the side-quests but oh well. And when you beat the game at the end, you can transfer you data to The Lost Age
Good controls. Controlling and customizing your characters (by which I mean using your Djinn) is pretty easy. Everything is explained to you, and there just your basic controls for a GBA game. Psynergy shortcuts were awesome! You can change them to any Psynergy you can use outside of battle and to use it you just had to push L or R. how sweet is that!?
Kind of easy for me, The Lost Age is much more difficult. Finding all the Djinn and all the side-quests can be rather difficult. Also some of the bosses are rather hard, depending on what level you fight them and or how much experience with the game you have
Both are absolutely amazing! The graphics are good all around. Psynergy in battle is packed with awesome effects, not to mention the Djinn summons. hoowee! The graphics are just totally bad-ass. The sound is awesome too. I think there's like 60 or so tracks in the game. Playing the game with headphones just adds to the wonderful sound experience. It's packed with awesome tracks. It's amazing, it really is. Playing with headphones or speakers is a choice for the better.
I probably would have given it a 10 if it were a bit harder, but you take what you can get. I think this game belongs in any collection, and if you don't have it, you better find one. It's hard game to find!
