Driver 2 Advance
Review by Ultimategamer93
"A good attempt at a 3-D game."
We all know what Driver is, we all have heard the name some where or other. Well now, the game has hit the Game boy advance. Read my review so you can see how good it is.
Before we see how good it is let us delve into the history of the game. The driver franchise started with Driver, which is for the Play station. It then made a sequel due to the fact that the first game was a good seller, this game was called Driver 2. Driver 2 is the game that has been made for the Game boy Advance and play station. It then ended with a trilogy and surprise, surprise that game was called Driver 3 and that was on X-box and Play station 2.
Story 6/10
You are Tanner, an undercover cop whose special ability is to be a good driver. You have a partner called Jones and you are both keeping tabs on Crime lords. The game makes you do various car missions to pass up the time.
Graphics 8/10
Well what can I say, well I know I can say that this game made a good attempt at trying to be a three dimensional game. All the buildings are very detailed and the cars have little detail on them but they have a very good outline of what vehicle you are in. This is the best point about the game.
Sound 3/10
The sound in the game isn't that good with the same track looping over and over again. All the cars have the same noise so you can't tell which car is better, this is a low point about the game.
Game play 6/10
This game is a good game to play, but the only reason it is good to play is because of the mini games and extra modes, such as take a ride where you can drive all over the city with no timer. The main story isn't that good and it will do for a train journey and you won't want to play it again, but Take a ride mode never gets boring.
The first five minutes of the game require you driving to your partners car in a certain amount of time, once you get there all you have to do is tail a person in another car. That is the first two missions done in the first five minutes. A feature in this game that isn't good is that you can out of your car, although that sounds good, it isn't. You can do nothing except get in other cars.
Rent or buy?
This really depends on whether you like this kind of game, I do so I bought it, but it is up to you.
