The Sum of All Fears
Review by jsutton0010
"probably the best adventure game for the GBA"
At first glance this concept seems impossible for the GBA, long levels, excellent multiplayer, the ability to swap between characters and stealth but it works and this is a fine game indeed.
Graphics 9/10
Just brilliant full 3D and is in top down view. Everything looks fantastic the detail is to the extreme so if your team walks in to a gym it looks just like a gym with exercise equipment.
Sound 9/10
Why there isn't any in game music apart from the title and mission end there is excellent sound affects when you're in a room full of terrorists you can here them walking around the death sound are good as well but there manly just grunts. The gun affects are well done as is the spoken words from the team such as when you sniper some one the sniper says "man is down".
Multiplayer 10/10
Not much to tell other than it's a straight forward death match you choose your person or team and its a fight to the death the only downside is that every player must have there own copy of the game, it would have been great if it was only single pack multiplayer but overall great.
Control 8/10
It's almost perfect but there is a couple of things that might confuse you this is changing players and changing weapons both require pressing the R button and a and b but apart from that the control is smooth and works.
Gameplay 8/10
It's pretty simple you chose the team of four and walk around hiding behind boxes, barrels, etc. You swap between the members to take out the terrorists and complete your objectives. the AI is pretty smart if you open a door as they are doing a patrol the terrorist will have a look and if they see you they will follow the team and start shooting but most of them can be taken out pretty easily with little effort.
Story 7/10
Well there is a story but it seems to be that some terrorist organisation have taken certain locations some with hostages and are looking for some thing and the anti terrorist team must stop them. A good story but hard to follow.
Overall 9/10
In my opinion this a great game for the GBA but I'm not saying that you the reader should go out and by this game because it comes down to your individual taste. If you like long and challenging GBA games then by all means go and play this game but if you prefer quick and easy GBA games then do not buy this game.
