Introduction\_________________________________________________________________

This article here would be the written record of all the unskippable dialogue
and actions of the characters in the game. Provided that there is demand for
it, this custom FAQ will also include other miscellaneous chat which you
wouldn't normally encounter in the game, and can only be accessed by doing
something special (or stupid). That's pretty much it. If you think I've missed
out on something and you know what it is, kindly let me know and I will do the
necessary corrections.

Now, that was quick and easy, on with the scripts!

Black Hole / Prologue
---------------------

"Macro Land, where the Black Hole
 Army's iron fist has crushed
 all opposition. Elsewhere, their
 grip is tightening..."


Sturm   : Hawke! Come to me.

Hawke   : By your command, my lord Sturm.

Sturm   : How goes the Macro Land invasion?

Hawke   : Excellent, my lord. The other COs have just completed their
          operations.

Sturm   : Our objective is clear, is it not?

Hawke   : To establish a base of Black Hole operations here on Wars World.

Sturm   : Yes. Recently, I instigated a great conflict between the countries
          here. I sought to conquer them all amidst the unrest. I failed.

Hawke   : That was in Cosmo Land, was it not, my lord?

Sturm   : I will not make the same mistakes again. This time, I will have a
          base and invade at my leisure. To that end, I need materials and
          money...

Hawke   : Do not worry, my lord. The COs have been given their orders. They
          will transport all that you desire from the lands they seize.

Sturm   : Do not fail me.

Hawke   : Never, my lord.

Andy    : Hey, Sami! Nell said you needed to see us!

Sami    : Ah, Andy! Max! Thanks for coming so quickly. You're not going to
          believe this, but that Black Hole Army's back!

Max     : You've got to be kidding! Didn't they learn their lesson last time?

Andy    : I guess not... Let's go get 'em! Um... Where are they?

Sami    : Slow down, Andy. The enemy's not here in Cosmo Land.

Max     : Huh? Well, where are they?

Sami    : In our world... In Wars World, there are several continents, right?

Andy    : Really? Continents?

Max     : You twerp! You don't know anything, do you?

Andy    : Heeeey... You're not... calling me dumb, are you?

Max     : I'm just saying that people who don't know anything... don't know
          nothin'!

Sami    : Knock it off, you two! This is neither the time nor the place for
          that! According to Nell, Macro Land is the focus of the conflict, but
          they've been spotted in other countries, too! Including here in
          Orange Star!

Max     : And Blue Moon and Yellow Comet?

Sami    : Yep! And Green Earth, as well. I wonder if they're mobilizing to push
          the Black Hole Army back, too.

Andy    : Woohoo!!! It'll be like a family reunion!

Sami    : Andy! This is war! Do you think that's anything to be excited about?

Andy    : No, but... we'll get to see everyone again, and that makes me happy!
          C'mon, let's go!

Sami    : Hold on, Andy. Andy? He's gone... Oh...

Max     : Well, we all gotta go sometime, right? At least he's got the right
          attitude. No sense getting all bummed out before the battle even
          begins.

Sami    : You know... It's been so peaceful around here lately... I just know
          Nell is going to want to give us all a little refresher course on
          basic combat ops. But that's fine... After all, you can never have
          too much training!

Max     : Oh, great. Just what I wanted... Another boring lecture.

Mission 1 - Cleanup

Andy    : Take out Black Hole's troops!

???     : Hey! Why aren't the Orange Star lines broken?!?

BHSldier: They're... They're stronger than we had anticipated...

???     : I don't want excuses! I want victory!

BHSldier: More trouble, sir! We have reports of a new Orange Star CO
          arriving...

???     : .........

BHSldier: Lord Flak, if we continue, we're only going to take more casualties.

Flak    : Nothing else to do. Use the troops we've got left. This Orange Star
          CO... What's he like?

Nell    : Whew! OK, we've taken care of the majority of Black Hole's forces
          here. This Black Hole Army is proving to be quite dangerous.

OSSldier: Commander! We've located the remaining enemy units. We're preparing
          to launch pursuit.

Nell    : Understood. I'll take it from here!

Andy    : Nell! What's the matter?! Are you OK?

Nell    : Oh, Andy! Sorry for the sudden call.

Andy    : Where are the bad guys?

Nell    : Settle down. I've wiped out most of the enemy.

Andy    : Oh... I was hoping I'd get a chance to show off for you.

Nell    : Don't be foolish, Andy! This is no training exercise! You might be a
          mechanical wizard, but you still need practice with soldiers. I don't
          think you're as combat ready as you'd like to believe. You can take
          over for me, but I'm going to give you instructions as you go, and I
          want you to listen!

Andy    : Yes, ma'am! Let's get started!


Orange Star / Day 1
-------------------

Nell    : The orange units are under your command. Your enemies are those black
          units in the top-right corner of the map. Your goal is simple:
          reclaim our land. Do that by capturing the enemy HQ or by defeating
          all enemy units. Move out, and be careful not to let the enemy defeat
          your troops.

Andy    : OK! I'm ready to go!

Nell    : Rushing into battle only to get beaten wins us nothing. Let's review
          some basic troop deployment first.

          First, use this cursor to give orders. Move it with the + Control Pad.
          Here, try giving orders to a unit. Move the cursor onto a unit and
          press the A Button.

          That's an infantry unit. They have low firepower, but they're
          essential to combat. Now, do you remember what our goals are in this
          map?

Andy    : You bet! Get rid of all the bad guys, or capture their HQ!

Nell    : You did remember! Well done! Now, this is important: only foot
          soldiers can capture properties. Of course, infantry units are a type
          of foot soldier.

Andy    : That's right! If I don't have any foot soldiers, I can't capture
          anything.

Nell    : Right! Now, don't forget: you can only capture enemy and neutral
          properties. The Capture command appears when you move an infantry
          unit onto these.

          OK, let's move a unit. Did you notice how some of the spaces around
          that unit changed color? That's the unit's movement range. When
          you've finished moving a unit, the Command menu will appear. Select
          Wait if you have no further orders for that unit.


[You select the APC unit.]


Nell    : That's an APC unit. APCs have no attack capabilities.

Andy    : Oh, weak!

Nell    : Weak in combat, perhaps, but they're incredibly useful. They can load
          and transport infantry units and supply your units.

Andy    : Load, huh? I don't get it, but it sounds useful!

Nell    : If you move infantry units onto APCs, the Load command appears. Then
          use the Drop command to unload those units. Transporting troops in
          APCs like this gets your infantry where they need to be in a hurry!

Andy    : I get it... Infantry units can move 3 spaces, but APCs can move 6!
          I've gotta give that a try!

Nell    : Be careful: units that have been dropped can only be ordered to Wait.
          Also, you can only drop units onto terrain they normally can
          traverse.

Andy    : If I dropped infantry in the sea, they might drown, huh? OK. I won't
          forget. By the way, Nell, what's "Supply"?

Nell    : Units lose both fuel and primary-weapon ammo as they fight. When they
          run out of primary-weapon ammo, your units use weaker attacks. When
          they run out of gas, your units can't move. APCs can supply fuel and
          rounds to units in adjacent spaces. APCs automatically supply any
          nearby units at the start of each turn. However, you can use the
          Supply command if you need supplies quickly.

Andy    : OK, sooooo... APCs are used to help out other units. Got it!

Nell    : All right, now take a close look at movement range. Do you see how
          the APC can't travel in the mountains? All units have a movement
          type, and this affects their movement costs. APCs move on treads,
          like tanks, so they can't cross mountains or rivers. To see intel on
          units, select them and press the R Button.

Andy    : How do I check which units can move in specific types of terrain?

Nell    : Place the cursor on the terrain, and press the R Button for intel!


[After deploying all of your units:]


Nell    : When you've finished deploying all of your units, your turn's
          finished. Place the cursor in an empty space and press the A
          Button. On the Command menu, select End to complete your turn.

 - A mechanical boy wonder. Impulsive to a fault, he's fiercely protective of
   his friends.

 - No real weaknesses. Proficient with air, land, and sea units. Ready to fight
   whereever and whenever.
 - [*]   Hyper Repair. Restores 2 HP to all units.
 - [***] Hyper Upgrade. Restores 5 HP to all units. Firepower rises, and unit
         movement increases by 1 space.

 - The strongman of the Black Hole Army. Promoted from private by Hawke.
   Hit:  Meat
   Miss: Veggies
 - High firepower, but he relies solely on strength. His shoddy technique
   sometimes reduces the damage his units deal.
 - [*]   Brute Force. Increases dispersion of fire. There is a chance of
         getting a super strong blow, but units' firepower might suddenly drop
         instead.
 - [***] Barbaric Blow. Attack power increases dramatically, but so does the
         dispersion rate, which affects the amount of damage targets take.

Black Hole / Day 1
------------------

Flak    : That woman's tough... Can I win with these units? Hah! This is where
          the fun starts.


Orange Star / Day 2
-------------------

Andy    : Hey, Nell. We're fighting the Black Hole Army, right?

Nell    : Yes. However, it isn't Sturm we're facing. It looks like another CO.
          I get the impression that whoever it is just wants to smash things.

Andy    : Well, he's not getting away with anything while I'm around!

Nell    : That's the spirit! I knew I could count on you! Now, let me give you
          some instructions on combat. The infantry under your command here are
          direct-combat units.

Andy    : Direct combat is when I move next to an enemy unit and attack, right?

Nell    : That's right! You're such a quick study! After you attack, the enemy
          will always counterattack if possible. Damaged units lose firepower,
          though... so even if the enemy fires back, it's to your advantage to
          attack first.

Andy    : OK, so my attack reduces the enemy's HP and its attack strength. That
          means I take less damage! He who strikes first wins!

Nell    : Damaged units will have an icon on them displaying their remaining
          HP. If their HP reaches 0, they'll vanish from the battle, so be
          careful! Move next to an opponent, and Fire will appear in the
          Command menu. Select Fire, confirm your target, and the combat will
          begin. Simple!

Andy    : Sure is! I'm itching to get started!

Nell    : You see the window on the left, right? That's called the Cursor Intel
          window. The heart icon shows HP. The fuel tank shows remaining gas.
          If the unit has a primary weapon, the number of rounds left is shown.
          As a CO, it's your duty to be aware of your units' conditions.


[After you have defeated all the enemy units / captured the enemy HQ:]


Andy    : The Orange Star Army is here! I order you to surrender!

Nell    : You did it, Andy! This area has been liberated!

Andy    : Hmmm... But it was kinda too easy...

Nell    : Don't worry. I've a feeling that we're in for a whole slew of combat.
          Today, however, we celebrate your victory! Keep up the good work!

Mission 2 - Border Skirmish

Sami    : Black Hole is closing in! Can I hold the bridge?

BHSldier: Lord Flak! Orange Star forces sighted on the opposite shore...

Flak    : What?!? Is that all they got?! Hah! Send out the tanks! Tanks are
          powerful, and they move far. Tanks are the best! Orange Star COs?
          HAH! I will crush them! Crush them all!

---

OSSldier: Commander, enemy troops have been spotted on the far side of the
          river.

Sami    : Are you sure?!? Here? In this rural area?

OSSldier: What are your orders, ma'am? Should we cease ops and attack?

Sami    : That's affirmative, soldier. We can't allow the enemy a foothold this
          deep in Orange Star territory.

Nell    : Good assessment, Sami! That's the tactical sense I expect from a
          special-forces commander!

Sami    : Nell! What are you doing here?

Nell    : Tracking down the CO who's invading Orange Star, of course! Sami, can
          I trust you to take care of this situation?

Sami    : Yes, ma'am! But if you had some advice you could offer, I'd feel much
          more confident.

Nell    : I'd be happy to, Sami! OK, troops! Let's move out!

BHSldier: Lord Flak, our infantry has reported finding Orange Star properties.

Flak    : What? Enemy cities? Capturing bases is grunt work, but I was told we
          need cash to fund the invasion... Listen up! If it ain't nailed down,
          steal it! Now, cities, bases, or whatever, they all got Capture
          Numbers of 20. Any infantry with an HP of 10 can reduce the Capture
          Number by 10. So, that means you can secure a property in... uh...
          2 days! If you move or get taken out while capturing, you gotta start
          over again! You got that? Well then, get moving! Black Hole needs
          cash!!!


Orange Star / Day 1
-------------------

Nell    : Sami, you already know the basics of troop deployment, so... Please
          look at the Cursor Intel window below. There are some stars below the
          HQ icon, right? Those illustrate the level of defensive cover offered
          by this terrain. The higher the defensive cover, the less damage you
          take in combat. So try choosing terrain that allows you to mitigate
          battle damage. If you need terrain intel, just press the R Button.

Sami    : So that means it's better to engage those tanks from the woods rather
          than on the plains or roads, right?

Nell    : You've got it! Go get 'em, Sami!


[You select the Mech unit.]


Nell    : That's a mech unit. Mech units are stronger than infantry units. As
          foot solderis, they can capture, use transports, and cross mountains.
          And, as it says under CO on the Map menu, you're tops with infantry.
          Infantry under your command have superior firepower. This allows them
          to hold their own even against tanks units. Be careful not to let the
          enemy fire on you first, though.


[You select the Artillery unit.]


Nell    : The unit you've selected is an artillery unit. It's an indirect-
          combat unit that can fire on enemies from a distance. Attacking from
          a distance means you have no fear of counterstrikes. However,
          indirect-combat units cannot fire on adjacent units. That means that
          indirect-combat units cannot counterattack.

Sami    : OK! I'll try not to expose them to direct fire!

Nell    : If you're able to do that, I'm sure they'll treat you right! One more
          thing, indirect-combat units cannot fire after moving. They can only
          attack from their current locations.

Sami    : Understood! I'll use these units to lie in wait and ambush the foe.

Nell    : Perfect! Now, do you remember how to check a unit's range of fire?
          Place the cursor on a unit and press the B Button. See the lights?
          Artillery units have a range of fire of 2-3 spaces. You can confirm
          this intel by selecting the unit and pressing the R Button.


[You move the Infantry unit into the nearby city and begin capturing.]


Nell    : I'm always amazed at your ability to capture properties, Sami! That
          extra speed is a useful CO Power to have in combat.

Sami    : Thanks! Being good at capturing and troop transport is fine... but
          I'm not very comfortable attacking with non-infantry units. I guess
          that's something I'll have to work on.

Nell    : Yes, that is important. However, it's vital that you utilize your
          unique talents and develop your own fighting style, too.

Sami    : My... My own fighting style? You're right! I'll do my best, ma'am!

Nell    : That's the spirit! I'm counting on you! Let's get back to my
          explanation. I'd like to discuss that city you've started capturing.
          Unlike the enemy HQ, capturing this property won't win you the
          battle. However, all bases are vital to the success of any campaign.
          Can you tell me why?

Sami    : Um... because they provide defensive cover as well as funds... right?

Nell    : Absolutely right! Nicely done, Sami! Your army receives funding daily
          from all allied properties. If you have deployment properties, use
          your funds to ready new troops. As you have no deployment properties,
          your funds will only go toward repairing your units. Still, having
          lots of properties is never a bad thing, so capture as many as you
          can!

To win here, capture the enemy HQ or defeat all the enemy troops. Good luck

Sami    : Ouch! That unit's been hurt. I need someplace to rest it.

Nell    : Don't panic, Sami. There's a way to help that unit out. Units that
          have taken damage can rest on any allied property. While they're
          resting, they recover 2 HP at the start of each turn. Plus, resting
          units also replenish all of their fuel and ammo!

Sami    : Bases also have the advantage of high terrain cover! Spectacular!

Nell    : You're right! However, enemies receive the same benefits from their
          bases. So, capturing properties is vital in any successful combat
          plan!

Sami    : Understood! Capturing is something I excel at!


Orange Star / Day 2
-------------------

Nell    : It's our turn. Move any damaged units onto secure properties and rest
          them. Be sure to continue capturing any bases that are not yet
          secure. Now, maybe this is something you've been wondering about...
          There are some numbers diplayed next to your picture, right? Those
          numbers are your current funds. You have 6,000 G. Funds are used to
          deploy troops, but don't worry about that now. Depending on the
          unit's cost, some funds might be needed for repairs. That's it for my
          lessons today. Can I leave the rest up to you?

Sami    : Yes, ma'am! I feel confident of victory!


[After you have defeated all the enemy units / captured the enemy HQ:]


Flak    : Grrrr! Not bad... for a girl!

Sami    : You're the Black Hole CO!? You're just a thug! Who do you think--

Flak    : Yap, yap, yap! Shut your trap! I'm leaving for now... Next time, I'll
          put you in your place.

Sami    : Hey!

Nell    : He escaped... And he was so rude, too!

Sami    : Oooh!! That makes me so angry! If I get the chance, I'm gonna run him
          down!

Nell    : I'm glad we can depend on you, Sami.

Mission 3 - Orange Dawn

          begin!

Flak    : Hey! Orange Star dogs! Can you hear me?

BHSldier: Um... Lord Flak... The microphone?

Flak    : Shut up! Too complicated! Anyone there? Or are you too scared to
          face me?!?

Max     : What's with the racket? You lonely or something?

Flak    : Hah! Look! A gorilla!

Max     : What did you say?!? If anyone here's a gorilla, it's you, ape-man!

Flak    : I'm no ape! I'm Flak!!!

Max     : Flak? What's that, some sort of code name? Listen up, Flak. My name's
          Max. Now tell me what you jerks are doin' rampaging through our
          country?

Flak    : YOUR country? Orange Star belongs to the Black Hole Army now! You
          complain, you get hurt!

Max     : Oh, you think so!? Give it your best shot!

Nell    : Max! Calm down.

Max     : Nell?!?

Nell    : To lose your head is to lose the fight. I taught you that, remember?

Max     : Yes, but... I... It's just...

Nell    : I understand your anger, Max. No one likes seeing his homeland
          ravaged. All the more reason to proceed calmly and rationally. Use
          your head, and drive these fiends from our borders! OK?

Max     : You got it! Let's roll!


Orange Star / Day 1
-------------------

Nell    : Now, Max, I know that you're a combat veteran, but... medium tanks,
          battle copters, and transport copters are tough to handle if you're
          a bit rusty.

Max     : You deployed copters?!? Well, it has been a while since I've dealt
          with air units. But Md tanks?!? C'mon, it's a tank! Bigger and
          stronger, but still a tank!

Nell    : OK, I'll give you that one. In the knock-down-drag-out world of
          direct combat, you're the champ. When it comes to firing, air units
          act the same as ground units. I'll bet that your tank expertise makes
          you handy with B copters, too!

Max     : Ha ha... yeah. You're probably right. In a head-to-head battle, I
          can't be beaten!

Nell    : However, indirect combat is another story, isn't it?

Max     : ......

Nell    : I'll admit that your power has overcome that particular obstacle,
          though.

Max     : You know it! Indirect-combat units? Who needs 'em?!

Nell    : I can't fault your confidence. Try not to overdo it!


[You select the Artillery unit.]


Nell    : We talked about this earlier, right? Your difficulty with indirect
          combat?

Max     : Oh... yeah... I thought we'd covered that.

Nell    : Just hear me out, Max. To see your units' ranges of fire, press the
          B Button. In your case, the ranges are a little small, so make sure
          you take a look.

Max     : Yeah, I know... You don't have to keep reminding me about it. But
          yeah, I'll admit it: knowing your weak points is important.

Nell    : Wow! Max, you've come a long way. I didn't think I'd hear you say
          that.

Max     : Oh, well... Hey! It's about time to show these goons we mean
          business!


[You select the Battle Copter unit.]


Nell    : What you have there is a battle copter. It's a direct-combat unit.
          Air units are easy to deploy because their movement isn't limited by
          terrain. Of course, they don't receive any defensive cover, either.
          B copter firepower is at least equal to a tank's... and in dogfights
          with other copters, they're as tough as can be. Press the R Button
          for further intel.

Max     : All right! I'm gonna knock some heads!


[You select the Transport Copter unit.]


Nell    : That's a transport copter, right? Like APCs, T copters can carry
          infantry and mech units. Another similarity is that they lack
          weapons. T copters cannot fire. On a map like this, where you need
          to circle around to reach the enemy HQ, T copters can shorten the
          distance. Even seas are no obstacle.

Max     : Now that's useful!

Nell    : Yes, it is! I'll leave it to you on how best to utilize them. Loading
          and unloading with T copters is handled the same as with APCs. Not
          being able to drop units off in certain terrain is the same, too. One
          other thing: T copters can't unload or supply troops when flying over
          seas. Don't forget that.

Capture the enemy HQ or defeat all the enemy forces to win. That's your

 - Non-infantry direct-combat units are tops. Indirect-combat troops are
   limited in range and firepower.
 - [*]   Max Force. Firepower of direct-combat units rises slightly, and unit
         movement increases by 1 space.

Nell    : Sorry, Max, but there's no place to repair air units on this map. You
          need an airport for that, and there's just not one around here.
          You're not completely helpless, though. There's another B copter
          unit, right? Well, you can take two units of the same type and join
          them together. Do this to create one unit that has the combined HP of
          the single units.

Max     : Join?!? Making one unit out of two?

Nell    : Uh-huh. Two become one, and they combine their HP. Of course, this
          does mean that you have one less unit to work with. My advice is to
          avoid this unless it's absolutely necessary.

Max     : Can an individual unit have more than 10 HP?

Nell    : Unfortunately, no. 10 is the max. To join, simply move one unit onto
          the other and select the Join command. One more thing: a damaged unit
          cannot join with an undamaged unit.

Max     : OK! I got it!

Nell    : I thought as much! You know, battling for higher rankings is fun when
          you've got free time. First, let me tell you what the scores all
          mean... Speed is the length of time you take to complete the mission.
          Next, Power is the number of enemy units you destroy. Finally,
          Technique counts the number of units you lost. However, victory is
          your top priority. Doing silly things to earn more points is not
          acceptable!

          to be much more of a threat than last time.

          strength to take out that cannon.

Andy    : Hey! I can do this!

Max     : Knock it off, Andy. War isn't a game. You'll just get hurt.

Nell    : Max, I have faith in Andy. Even if he's not as powerful as you are,
          he can do things no one else can. I think this will be a good
          experience for him, so let's let him handle this.

Max     : Hmph! Don't come cryin' to me if he gets hurt! Yo, Andy! You sure
          you're up for this?

Andy    : You know it! Sit back and watch, Max!


Orange Star / Day 1

Andy    : Hey! What's up with this? There are hardly any units deployed!

Nell    : It's up to you to decide which units you need and where to deploy
          them.

Andy    : Deploy them? You mean I have to form units as I go along?

Nell    : That's exactly what I mean. See those 2 properties next to your HQ?
          Those are deployment properties called bases. You can deploy ground
          units from them. To deploy units, select a base and press the A
          Button.

          Now, there's a window at the top of the screen, right? The 6,000 you
          see here is the amount of funding you have. Funds increase depending
          on the number of properties you control. You receive 1,000 per
          property each day. You currently have your HQ, 2 bases, and 3 cities.
          That amounts to 6,000 in funds.

Andy    : I get it! Funds increase on the day after I capture a new property!

Nell    : That's exactly right, Andy. Then you use that money to deploy more
          troops. Select a base and press the A Button to select the type of
          unit you want to deploy. The number next to the unit is its
          deployment cost. Remember, units cannot move on the day that they
          are deployed. In this case... Yes, that should work. First, you
          need to increase your funds, so deploy some infantry or mech units
          and capture some neutral properties. Don't forget to use your APCs
          and T copters to transport to properties farther out, too. As for
          combat, you've got some room to maneuver, so I'd advise advancing
          with tanks and artillery. When you can afford, deploy some more
          powerful units, like Md tanks. Once you can capture neutral bases,
          you can deploy troops from them. Of course, the enemy can do the
          same, so don't dillydally! I'll contact you as soon as I have any
          intel on that giant cannon. This may be rough going, but do your
          best!

Andy    : Here I go! Keep watching, Max! I'm gonna show you something!

Nell    : Andy! I've got some intel on that monstrosity! It's called a Black
          Cannon. It's supposed to have a huge range of fire. Use the B Button
          to check it out. That's just a prototype, though, so it can only fire
          once every 2 days. It's designed to fire on the strongest unit within
          range. I'll get back to you once I get some intel on its weak points.

Andy    : Understood!


Orange Star / Day 3

Nell    : Andy, I've discovered the enemy's weak point.

Andy    : All right! Way to go, Nell!

Nell    : When you attack the Black Cannon, aim here, for the door. Check the
          cursor window to see the unit's HP. If you can take out the Black
          Cannon, victory's yours! That thing surprised me at first, but it's
          nothing to fear now. Good luck, Andy!

Andy    : No problem! I'll take care of it!


[After you create an Anti-air unit:]


Nell    : Now you've deployed an A-air unit. They're strong not just against
          air units, but against infantry, too.


[After you create a Missile unit:]


Nell    : OK, that's a missile unit. It's another indirect-combat unit. It can
          only attack air units, but it has devastating power!


[After you create a Rocket unit:]


Nell    : What you've chosen to deploy now is a rocket unit. It's an indirect-
          combat unit with a firing range of 3-5 spaces. That's pretty
          impressive.

Andy    : So it's like an artillery unit, only stronger.

Nell    : That's a good way of thinking of it. Rockets run out of ammo quickly,
          so it's a good idea to deploy them on secure properties or near APCs.


[Once you go into the range of the Black Cannon:]


Lash    : Yippee! It's ready to fire! Black Cannon... attack! Tee hee!


[After you have been hit by enemy fire:]


Nell    : Contact at last. Andy, are you OK?

Andy    : Yeah,... I think so.

Nell    : Well don't overdo it, all right? By the way, a few of the gray stars
          in the window displaying your funds have changed color, right? That's
          your CO Power Meter. Power builds up slowly during combat. When the
          stars are flashing, your CO Power is ready for use. To see intel on
          CO Powers, select CO from the Map menu.

Andy    : Wahoo! I won! I won!

Flak    : Grrr! Now you've done it, runt!

Andy    : I'm no runt! My name's Andy!

Sami    : I know, but do you really think Flak's capable of setting a trap?

Nell    : Well, since you put it that way...

Lash    : You're right! Flak didn't set a trap for you... I did! Flak doesn't
          have a cunning bone in his body!

Sami    : Who's that? A little girl?

Nell    : A Black Hole CO perhaps?

Lash    : Tee hee hee! You got it! My name's Lash! Nice to meet you! Would you
          like to play with me? What do you say, grandma?

Nell    : I do believe I'm being taunted. Sami? Bring her to me... alive.

Sami    : Uh... OK.


Orange Star / Day 1

Nell    : Look at this terrain... I think we'll need some naval units here. See
          that base up there? There's nothing we can do to keep it from the
          enemy. But if we ignore it, they'll use it to deploy ground unit
          after ground unit. Which means... there's only one way for us to
          proceed. We have to get to that isle and capture the enemy HQ!

Sami    : Yes, ma'am! If victory relies on capturing, then I'm the right CO
          for the job!

Nell    : As well you should be! You're quite skilled at securing properties.
          Plus, your transport units possess superior movement range. That goes
          for T copters and this lander as well! I'm sure you'll be able to
          handle all transports with ease. First, let's get that T copter out
          of trouble!


[You select the T copter unit.]


Nell    : If we leave this T-copter here, those 2 A-air units will take it. If
          we go to sea, it becomes vulnerable to that cruiser. Both of these
          units can fire directly on air units. If that T copter gets hit, it
          doesn't stand a chance. Now, we could rely on its movement range and
          flee... But there's another way to keep it safe.

Sami    : How?

Nell    : Easy! Cruisers can carry up to 2 B copters or T copters! As long as
          the cruiser's safe, so are its passengers. As luck would have it, you
          have a cruiser under your command. Why don't you try it out?


[You select the Lander unit.]


Nell    : What we have here is a lander. It transports troops in exactly the
          same way APCs do. It's also restricted to dropping units on terrain
          those units can traverse. It's unique in that it can carry 2 ground
          units at once. On this map, the only place it can drop troops is on
          shoals. It can normally use ports as well, but since there are no
          ports here...

Sami    : Under these conditions, this lander is a unit I just can't do
          without.

Nell    : I agree. You must be careful to keep it from being fired upon.


[You select the Cruiser unit.]


Nell    : OK, let's take a look at the cruiser you've selected. It's a direct-
          combat unit, but it can only fire on certain units. It can only
          attack air units and subs. I believe it can reach the enemy sub from
          here, so go ahead and attack.


[You select the Submarine unit.]


Nell    : You've selected a sub. Subs are direct-combat units. Subs can fire on
          all naval units, including the cruiser above. However, they're rather
          ineffective vs. cruisers, so don't expect too much. Subs also have
          the ability to dive under the surface of the sea.

Sami    : Dive? That means they can't be attacked while submerged, right?

Nell    : That's half true. They can't be fired upon by most units while
          submerged. However, other subs and cruisers can attack at any time.
          As you know, when naval units run out of fuel, they sink. Submerged
          subs use a lot more fuel. In fact, they use 5 units per day. If in
          danger, select Rise to surface, and head to port... Well, there are
          no ports here, so use an APC to refuel.

Sami    : Yes, ma'am!


[You select the Battleship unit.]


Nell    : This is a battleship. It's an indirect-combat naval unit. It can fire
          on both ground and naval units. It also has the largest range of fire
          of all indirect-combat units. It should be able to reach that rocket
          unit from its current location. Give it a try!

          We've got to clear this map within 7 days! Here's your chance to
          prove your rep for surprising the foe is deserved.

Sami    : Yes, ma'am! I'll give it my best shot!

Nell    : Day 2... Let me tell you a bit more about these naval units. At the
          beginning of each day, naval units burn 2 units of fuel. If their
          fuel supply runs out, they sink and vanish. To refuel, place naval
          units in ports or move them next to APCs.

Sami    : Understood!

Nell    : OK. I'm going to leave the rest of this battle up to you. Good luck!

Sami    : Now these are missiles. They're an indirect-combat weapon. They can
          only fire on air units, but the damage they cause is horrific! For
          more intel, select the unit and press the R Button.

          to you.

Sami    : Don't worry too much, Max. You ARE the king of direct combat, after
          all. Oh yes, rockets run out of ammo quickly... so make sure you
          deploy them in areas that are easy to get supplies to.

Flak    : Trained? I'll train 'em myself! These bombers... They're indirect-
          combat units. They're good against ground units. They're even good
          on Md tanks. But they can't fire on other air units. They're bombers.
          They bomb.

          This here's a fighter. It can attack other air units. It's the best
          weapon to have when you're stompin' flying stuff. You have to watch
          fuel with air units. They burn 2 units of fuel per day. Ground units
          stop moving when they run out of fuel, but that's all. An air unit
          without fuel falls out of the sky and crashes. You got it? Then
          attack! The more you take out, the better.

BHSldier: Yes, sir! Delta squad is away!

BHSldier: Commander! We recovered this in a city we captured!

Max     : Huh? What's this supposed to be?

Sami    : Ah! That... That's a map to the enemy lab!

Max     : They left a map?

Sami    : Actually, my troops have been ordered to find the lab on this map!
          It seems that Black Hole has these labs scattered here and there.
          Reports are that they're research centers for new weapon development.

Max     : Here and there? So there are labs like this in Yellow Comet and Blue
          Moon?

Sami    : We're not completely sure. They're... hidden and all. Which is why we
          need maps like this to help us search them out. I'll warn our allies
          and get this intel to Nell. At the very least, we've pinned down the
          lab here in Orange Star. After we're through here, we should be able
          to proceed to the lab via the Map Select screen.

BHSldier: 10... No, we should be able to do it if we have 7 days.

Flak    : Well, get started! Don't let them get that intel!

Nell    : Do you see that? It's a Black Hole lab. If this goes well, we might
          be able to seize their new weapon designs.

Andy    : Nell! We're ready to advance! But... shouldn't this be Sami's
          mission?

Sami    : No can do, Andy! I'm still gathering my troops. My last battle left
          me with a shortage of combat-ready soldiers. But to be honest, I'd
          love to try and infiltrate their base by myself.

Nell    : Do you honestly think that I would approve such recklessness?

Andy    : It's OK, Sami! Helping each other is what we're all about! My troops
          are fresh and itching to go!

Nell    : Let's move out, Andy. We're in Fog of War, so let's exercise caution.

Andy    : Fog of War... That's where you can't see very far, right? It's tough
          fighting in this gunk!

Nell    : Everything will be fine. It just takes a little getting used to is
          all. Let's get started.


Orange Star / Day 1
-------------------

Nell    : As I mentioned earlier, this terrain is hidden by Fog of War. It
          prevents units from seeing beyond their individual vision ranges.
          For example, the vision range of infantry is 2 spaces, so they can
          see 2 spaces from the space they're deployed. Your own properties are
          lit up, but enemy and neutral properties aren't.

Andy    : That's a recon unit. Its vision range is terrific!

Nell    : With a vision of 5, recon units are indispensable in Fog of War. They
          also have extended movement ranges and can take on infantry and mech
          units with decent success. They're handy units to have around.

Andy    : I can't see into those woods! What's going on?

Nell    : You can't see into woods even if they're within your vision range.
          The only way to tell if an enemy unit is hiding there is to move to
          the space next to the woods. The same goes for the enemy, too. If
          you conceal a unit in the woods, it won't be spotted unless the enemy
          gets right next to it.

Andy    : So battling in Fog of War's like a big game of hide-and-seek!

Nell    : You know, Andy, you're right. It is. You'll also have to watch out
          for ambushes in Fog of War. These occur when you try to move to or
          through a space occupied by an enemy unit. If this happens, you'll
          stop moving, and you won't be able to move until the next day. There
          are lots of ambushes in woods, so be extra careful.

Andy    : Got it!

Nell    : Infantry and mech units can do more that just capture, you know. They
          can increase their vision range by climbing mountains! Since we have
          some mountains so close by, you should test it out.

          woods at the top of the map.

Andy    : Really? OK, I got it! I'll advance carefully. Thanks a bunch, Sami!

Sami    : How's the Fog of War?

Andy    : It really slows things down. Strong units are useless if they can't
          see anything. It's tough if you don't use recon units well.

Nell    : Understanding that's half the battle! The rest comes with experience.
          Oh yes, there's something I forgot to tell you yesterday. In addition
          to woods, there's one other terrain type that conceals units until
          you're next to it. It's reefs. Like this one here. If you're looking
          to take out all enemy units, don't forget to look here!


Orange Star / Day 3

Sami    : I have some new intel, Andy. Somewhere in the woods near the lab is
          another indirect-combat unit. If you suddenly come under fire, check
          the woods first.

Andy    : Understood! Couldn't do this without you, Sami! I'll try and hold up
          my end!

BHSldier: Lord Flak... The new weapons plans have been stolen...

Sami    : I just wish I could've done more.

Nell    : I believe they call it a factory. This is the center of all the
          damage inflicted upon our forces.

Nell    : Yes, but... There's still so much we don't know. I've got a spy on
          the inside, so I'll let you know if I hear anything. In the
          meanwhile, let's launch some sorties and see the enemy's response.

          The enemy's been stealing weapons, money, and other materials, too!
          Somehow, they transport everything here to this factory, then it all
          goes into that pipe and winds up... somewhere else.

Sami    : Black Hole goons... They're even more dangerous than we originally
          thought.

Andy    : Don't worry! As long as we're in this together, there's no way we can
          lose!

Nell    : You're right, Andy. You've all made it this far. I know you'll emerge
          victorious.


Orange Star / Day 3
-------------------

Nell    : I've got new intel, troops. I don't know what that factory's made of,
          but I do know that we can't damage it with the weapons we have here.

Max     : Are you serious? Well then, how are we gonna put it out of business?

Nell    : That's the problem at hand. That long pipe is also made of the same
          impervious substance. But take a look over there.

Sami    : It looks like two separate pieces of pipe are connected there...

Nell    : Right. The two pieces appear to be bolted together.

Sami    : Maybe Md tanks or bombers could blast that seam apart...

Nell    : Yes, and maybe by breaking the pipe, we can halt their troop
          production. First, we should gain control of that airport in the
          center of the map. That should give us an advantage. Next, we need
          to make good use of your CO Powers... Just so you know, your Power
          Meter fills faster when you're attacked. It does build up for the
          attacker, too, so firing first is never a mistake!

Andy    : OK! Now that that's clear, I'm using my CO Power as often as I can!


Black Hole / Day 3
------------------

BHSldier: Lord Flak, it appears that the foe has discovered the pipe's weak
          point.

Flak    : Grrr... That section may be weak, but it's still not easy to destroy.
          Even so, if they manage to damage the pipe and halt troop production,
          we're in deep trouble. Hit 'em now, before they're ready! Smash 'em!

BHSldier: Yes, sir!


[After you have destroyed the pipe seam:]


Sami    : We did it! There'll be no more units coming from that factory!

Flak    : Aarrrgh! Nooooooo!

Max     : Give it up, Flak! You lose!

Flak    : My invasion of Orange Star may have failed, but I'm not alone. There
          are other Black Hole COs, with more armies.

Max     : What are you saying? Are Yellow Comet and Blue Moon under attack?

Flak    : Hah! You'll find out soon enough. They'll be coming for you next!
          I'm gone.

Max     : Hey! We're not done with you!... He got away again! We can't ignore
          his warning, can we? We've gotta contact the other armies.

Nell    : Yes. You're right. Let's ready reinforcements. In truth, though, our
          own Orange Star Army is in pretty ragged shape. If that battle had
          gone on much longer, materials and morale might have dropped to
          dangerous levels. I can't tell you how grateful I am for all of your
          aid! Nice work!

Sami    : It's all due to your instruction, Nell.

Nell    : No, it was all of you. You made the decisions and performed the
          deeds.

Andy    : C'mon! Let's hurry and check on the other countries!

Sami    : Yeah! Let's get busy and drive those Black Hole thugs off the planet!

          through several cities on our way here... Heh heh... Crushing them
          beneath our boots took no time at all.

          you, Frosty!

Olaf    : I'll take care of this! Easier said than done... This accursed pipe
          is preventing my units from advancing!

Andy    : If you blow up that seam, you can pass through the hole in the pipe.
          That's what Nell told me!

Olaf    : Oh, yes... Of course! I already knew that! I thank you all the same,
          though.


Blue Moon / Day 7

Olaf    : Mmmm... Day 7 so soon... If 15 days pass, we lose... We must hurry
          and capture those 8 properties.

          these woods. Unit type is not a factor. Any one of you reaches the

          if you run into any enemy infantry, be sure to give 'em somethin' to

          Hole was behind this!

Adder   : This fortress was built on the strength of the Black Hole nation. It
          will never fall to the likes of Yellow Comet. Once I've taken care
          of things here, I must destroy this map. It wouldn't do to have these
          fools showing up at our hidden lab... Now then, let's see what skills
          this foe possesses.

          are transported to our factory. It's also an impenetrable,
          indestructable wall. So why don't you twiddle your thumbs or
          something while I go and capture your HQ. Heh heh heh...

Sensei  : There's no scheme too base for these scoundrels.

Adder   : Heh heh heh... Base? It's not base, it's brilliant! Now out of my

          destroyed before you even touch our HQ.

          the enemy. Wouldn't want them capturing those cities too quickly.

          the 10 cities in the upper right are captured, we lose. Be careful!

Adder   : Hsss! Those Yellow Comet COs aren't bad at all, are they?

Flak    : We've just lost 2 laser cannons! Why ain't you more mad?

Adder   : They were merely tools. If necessary, we can build more.

Flak    : Yeah, I guess so...

Adder   : More importantly, how are we going to handle things from here on in?
          For now, let's retreat to the factory and redraw our battle plans.
          This war is far from over.

Kanbei  : Is that so?

Sonja   : Yes, I visited one of them myself. They gave me a message for you.

          might be the Black Hole CO.

Kanbei  : Are you sure? Quickly! Prepare to pursue!

Sonja   : Hold on, Father. We'll never catch him if he's that far away. It's
          more important that we work on reorganizing our troops. That's--

Kanbei  : We'll never know unless we try. I am NOT letting him get away!

???     : Are we launching a counteroffensive? Perhaps I can lend a hand.

Drake   : Jess, you're back!

Jess    : Yes, I am. I couldn't continue my training abroad with my homeland
          in danger.

Drake   : Your timing couldn't be better! It's become a ground war, and neither
          Eagle nor I are any good at that.

Eagle   : Knock it off, Drake! She delayed returning until she knew she'd be
          met with fanfare, that's all!

Jess    : What are you talking about?

Drake   : Stow it, Eagle.

Eagle   : The enemy took us by surprise, nothing more. I can liberate Green
          Earth on my own, without you underfoot, Red!

Drake   : Jess, don't mind him. He's angry is all.

Jess    : I'm not worried about him. I was just thinking that the more things
          change...

Drake   : You know, with Eagle in the skies, me at sea, and you on the ground,

Hawke   : I estimated they'd be appearing about this time. They're all air

BHSldier: Hold on... Er... I think so, sir. Nothing but air units, sir.

Hawke   ; How predictable. Deploy our troops immediately.

BHSldier: Yes, sir.

Eagle   : Attention all units! Target that fortress and open fire!

GESldier: Oh no! Hold on, sir! This is no good! There are anti-aircraft units
          everywhere!

Eagle   : What?! They knew we were coming... (What should I do? If we allow
          them to complete that factory, Green Earth will suffer. If we press
          our attack, we might win, but the casualties will be enormous.)

GESldier: Commander! Let's continue with the attack.

Eagle   : But...

GESldier: We're Green Earth's strongest force. We cannot lose. That's what you
          always tell us, isn't it?

          He's right, sir. We won't be beaten by the likes of those Black Hole
          thugs. And we can't sit by and let them complete that fortress! We
          can't!

          Let's hit 'em, Commander!

          C'mon, sir!

Eagle   : My soldiers... All right, we proceed as planned. Aim for the heart of
          their offensive power, the minicannons. Let's give them a show of
          power they won't soon forget!

BHSldier: Yes, sir. A complete wall encircles them. All that remains is to
          destroy them unit by unit with the Black Cannon.

Hawke   : It's too early to relax. Much could happen before they are
          annihilated. Tell the troops to keep on their toes.

Drake   : Enemy troops everywhere. I've got to find a way to turn the tides,
          or we'll all be swept away. Should I weather that cannon's fire in
          the reefs or transport troops to the HQ with landers?

GESldier: Commander! Incoming call from Commander Eagle!

Drake   : From Eagle? Patch him through.

Eagle   : Drake, are you OK?

Drake   : Eagle? We've hit a patch of rough sea here. The enemy's surrounded
          us. We've got to find a way to save the troops...

Eagle   : Hold on. I've got some good news for you.

Drake   : What is it?

Eagle   : I've received a communique from Yellow Comet. They've sent
          reinforcements! And that's not all. They're being led by the emperor
          himself, Kanbei!

Drake   : That IS good news! OK, I'll launch a counteroffensive timed with
          Kanbei's attack.

Eagle   : You'll be aiming to take out those 2 Black Cannons, right?

Drake   : Yep. We can mop up the rest of the enemy once that's done.

Eagle   : Understood. I'll request that Kanbei's troops target the Black
          Cannons, too.

Drake   : Thanks, Eagle. You have this old sailor's gratitude.

Eagle   : Save it for the victory celebration. Good luck to you, Drake.

Hawke   : The Black Cannons were destroyed. Useless hunks of-- We'll withdraw
          for the moment. Adjust our preparations.

Kanbei  : Ah, Commander Drake. I am pleased to see you unharmed.

Drake   : You have our gratitude for the reinforcements. I believe we might
          have gone down with our ships if you hadn't come.

          and emerged victorious. We simply sped the process up a bit.

Drake   : Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Kanbei  : I would like to battle at your side again someday.

Drake   : The feeling's mutual. Maybe when we're storming Black Hole's
          fortress...

Drake   : That's true, but... If the enemy captures that airport, they'll
          deploy B copters and bombers. At any rate, you're in for rough seas.

Jess    : Take a look, Drake. For air units, I've got my A-airs. I'm going to
          bathe those battleships in artillery fire! Watch and see!

          force heading this way.

          new tanks to the ground-combat expert. That's me!

Eagle   : Hm... I believe Sami's commanding the Orange Star forces... What was
          her reply?

GESldier: Well, in a word, she turned them down flat.

Eagle   : What exactly did she say?

GESldier: Um... I'd rather not say. It wasn't the most... polite response.

Eagle   : Be that as it may.

GESldier: Er... How about I write it down on this paper, and then you can read
          it?

Eagle   : Hm... ... ...? Ha... Ha ha ha ha!!!

Eagle   : She certainly is outspoken! It would be a shame to let her get
          captured by Black Hole.

          wretches report to the missile platform and assist Lash.

Max     : Here we are at last. The Black Hole Army's citadel.

Sami    : I don't care what they call it. All I know is, everything they
          pillaged from Orange Star is here.

Jess    : That's been confirmed by our allies, too.

Andy    : So if we can capture this place, we can get all of our money back!

Nell    : I'm not so sure of that.

Andy    : What do you mean, Nell?

Nell    : Just because it was all sent here doesn't mean it's still here.

Eagle   : Are you saying they might have moved it all to another location?

Olaf    : What makes you think that?

Grit    : We gotta assume they weren't gathering it just for kicks. They've got
          something planned, and more 'n likely, they've moved all our stuff to
          where they need it. That sound 'bout right, Nell?

Nell    : Grit's exactly right. Which means this battle is also about
          deciphering their ultimate plan.

Kanbei  : Hmmm... Regardless, we must still attack. The longer we wait, the
          stronger their defenses become. Our target...

Sonja   : Our objective is to destroy the 3 Black Cannons.

Kanbei  : Hm? Just the cannons? Are you sure, Sonja?

Sonja   : If we eliminate those, we should be able to rout our foe. If there's
          nothing here for them to protect, they'll run.

Sensei  : Ah. And if they do... That would tell us whether or not this was
          their true headquarters.

Drake   : I see...

Colin   : That's brilliant, Commander Sonja!

Sonja   : As we can see, indirect fire will be useful in this battle. The other
          vital elements will be selecting the right first CO... and using
          decoys effectively against the Black Cannons.

Andy    : OK, let's go!

   whereever and whenever.
 - [*]   Hyper Repair. Restores 2 HP to all units.

 - Laid-back style masks his dependability. A peerless marksman. Works well
   Olaf.

         They also receive a firepower bonus.

 - A gallant tank-driving CO who fought her way to the top. Often argues with
   Eagle.
   Hit:  Dandelions
   Miss: Unfit COs
 - Vehicular units have superior attack power. Infantry, air, and naval units
   are comparatively weak.
 - [*]   Turbo Charge. Movement range of vehicles increases by 1 space.
         Firepower increases, and fuel and ammo supplies are also replenished.
 - [***] Overdrive. Increase in the attack strength of vehicular units and
         2-space increase in movement range. Also restores fuel and ammo
         supplies.

Sturm                                                             [Black Hole]
 - Commander of Black Hole's forces. A mysterious invader from another world.
   Hit:  Invasions
   Miss: Peace
 - All units have superior firepower. Movement is equal over all terrain types.
   Weak in the snow.
 - [*]   Sturm focuses all his energy on his Super CO Power, which is so strong
         that he does not need a normal CO Power.
 - [***] Meteor Strike. Pulls a giant meteor from space, which does 8 HP of
         damage to all affected units. Increases his unit's firepower and
         defense.

[After you have destroyed the Black Cannons:]


BHSldier: Lord Sturm! The Black Cannons have been--

Sturm   : Did you leak intel on the missile platform to the enemy as I ordered?

BHSldier: Yes, sir. We let one soldier be captured. He will tell all in his
          interrogation.

Sturm   : Good. It's time to end this game. Order all units to the platform.

BHSldier: Yes, sir!

Sturm   : They will follow the trail all the way to the missile platform. My
          best troops will greet them there with a storm of death. Then, before
          their very eyes, I will launch our missiles.

Max     : The enemy's constructing a missile platform?

Nell    : Yes. They're planning to launch missiles at Cosmo Land and other
          continents.

Sensei  : Is this intel reliable?

Nell    : We heard it from a captured soldier. Intel we gathered on our own
          confirms his story.

Andy    : What are we waiting for? We have to attack that missile platform!

Sami    : It's not that simple, Andy.

Colin   : It's not? Why?

Grit    : 'Cause it might be a trap.

Olaf    : You've confirmed the intel, correct?

Jess    : Would a soldier who's fought so long break so easily? I wonder...

Sonja   : I think it's best to assume that it's a snare.

Drake   : Well, even so, we can't sit on port forever. We need to end this
          quickly while troop morale is high.

Kanbei  : Hmmm...

Andy    : Aaaaah! I can't stand it! How long are we gonna talk about this?!
          If the enemy's at the missile platform, then let's blast it to bits!

Max     : Andy, your mouth's gettin' ahead of your brain again...

Sensei  : No. I think the boy's got the right idea.

Max     : Huh?

Eagle   : I concur. We must attack sometime. If they're waiting for us at the
          platform, it saves us the time and the annoyance of looking for them.

Grit    : I get what you're sayin'. If you're looking for crawdads, you gotta
          turn over some rocks. That's a pretty sound principle.

Kanbei  : I hear no objections. Then let us begin our advance on the missile
          platform.

Andy    : Waaaahooooo! Let's get 'em!

Sturm   : And how is the Deathray?

Lash    : It's fine. You can use it now. I even fixed it, too! Now it won't
          damage our troops when it's fired. It does need 7 days to build up
          enough energy to fire, though.

Sturm   : Hm. 7 days... I'll not forget.

Sami    : Here we go...

Sturm   : Look what I've found.

Sonja   : You... You're Sturm!

Sturm   : And you're the little girl who likes playing with soldiers. Here you

Nell    : Sonja's not alone. We're all here. Different place, same cast.

Sturm   : You're all here? Then you shall all taste despair. For you shall
          witness the destruction of your world when my missile strikes.

Olaf    : As long as we're alive, that will never happen.

Sturm   : Empty words, worm. The missile platform is beyond your reach.

Eagle   : What is that supposed to mean?

Sturm   : Enough talk. I would see your power.

Drake   : Hey! Wait a.... Beyond our reach? It's right...

Colin   : Ohmigosh! We've just received report of a giant laser blocking the
          platform!

Grit    : That would explain why the old boy was so doggone sure of himself.

Eagle   : In that case, we should strike now, while we have the chance.

Sensei  : It doesn't look like we'll be able to avoid that contraption.

Jess    : So we weaken his defenses, attack the platform, and stop the
          launch...

Max     : That sounds like a plan I can get behind!

Kanbei  : Let us aim for the laser. Move out, everyone!

[An explosion rocks the screen.]


OSSldier: The missile launch platform is completely inoperable.

Nell    : YES!!

Sturm   : I have come so far...

Andy    : You're next on this list, Sturm!

Sturm   : ...only to be stopped by you again. I will not let it end here. I
          will sacrifice my own flesh, and all of you...

          ...will join me in death!!!

Max     : Whoa! Hold it! What're you planning?

Sonja   : A self-destruct device?

Grit    : Possum spit! Maxie! Back off!

Andy    : You jerk!

Sami    : Andy!

Andy    : You think for one second that we're going to let you get away with
          this!?

Sturm   : This... This worm...

Andy    : I... am... not... a... WORM!!! I'm Andy! I'm a CO in the Orange Star
          Army!!!

Olaf    : No! Andy! Run away!

Nell    : Andy! Everyone! Get back!

Hawke   : Chance is a fickle thing. You never know when it will come your way.

Jess    : Who? Hawke?

Hawke   : Sturm... I think it's time for you to go! Black Storm!!!


[Hawke uses his super CO power on Sturm.]

Hawke   : Good riddance.

Andy    : But why? Why would you...

Hawke   : ......

Adder   : Lord... Sturm... Hawke, what have you done?

Hawke   : As of now, I am the commander-in-chief of the Black Hole Army. If you
          have anything to say, come forward, or hold your peace.

Flak    : ......

Nell    : What's this all about? Weren't you in league with Sturm?

Hawke   : I wanted to test my power. To see how strong I could become. I'm
          interested in nothing save myself. That was my purpose. Nothing more.

Sensei  : In any case, you saved us all.

Eagle   : Does that eliminate his sins? I won't forget what you did to Green
          Earth!

Hawke   : Hah... I didn't ask you to. I'm through with all of you. I'm
          satisfied with your performances.

Eagle   : What? How about this... We continue this fight until I'm satisfied!

Drake   : Eagle! That's enough! Our troops are on the brink of collapse.
          There's nothing to be gained by fighting any longer.

Colin   : I may be out of line, sir... But I believe he's correct.

Eagle   : ......

Hawke   : The Black Hole Army is in ruins. They're no match for you now. I'll
          take them and withdraw.

Flak    : Hawke! I'm with you all the way!

Lash    : Me, too! This looks like it could be fun!

Adder   : I... I follow the strong.

Hawke   : Then prepare your troops. We're leaving this place.

Andy    : Hold it, Hawke! What you've done to Macro Land is unforgivable!
          But...

          You saved me... You saved all of us. Thanks.

Hawke   : Hah... Though the Black Hole Army's gone, you would do well to
          remember me. Until next time!

Andy    : Well, let's celebrate! It's party time! Paaaarty!

Max     : Figures. We barely escape death, and he wants cake and ice cream.

Andy    : PARTY!!!
