Version History
- Version 2.1
- Updated to the new format, minor tweaks.
- Version 2.0
- Because of extremely rapid changes that were done to this guide before this update I decided to dub this version 2.0, dispite the fact that no version between 1.3 and 2.0 were submitted to Game FAQs, Neoseeker or the Harvest Moon Barn.
- Version 1.3
- A few things were changed, though nothing major was edited.
- Version 1.2
- I finally optained a code which was supposedly the Master Code. I also included a rumor about how to turn VBA codes into CB codes, which turned out to be false.
- Version 1.1
- The change date codes were fixed.
- Version 1.0
- This was the first version of this guide.

Introduction
These codes are for use with a Codebreaker, which is a cheat device like a Game Shark or Action Replay for the GBA that is no longer produced. You can possibly find these on Ebay, but I'm not entirely sure what the availability is like on these anymore. The main use of this guide seems to be with people using VBA and emulating the game, which is easy since VBA has a Codebreaker function.
In Harvest Moon FoMT there are two main types of codes: Stage 1 and Stage 2. Stage one codes are codes that are used BEFORE you load your game data (aka, while your in the main menu). Many people use these codes because you can turn/leave your codebreaker on right when you turn on the game. Stage 2 codes accur AFTER you load your game (aka, when your in the game). The way that you can tell that you are in a possition to use stage 2 codes is when you can move around. To use stage 2 codes, players should turn off their codebreakers, load their game files and then, after moving around, turn them on.
The difference in the stages is simple, a stage 2 code is 2834 + the stage 1 code (added in hexadecimal).
Why the Codes Might Not Work
I've been trouble-shooting the codes in this guide through emails for a good decade now, and the best thing I can say is that these codes just might not work for you. Codes work by changing part of the stored information in the game, but where the game may be storing specific information changes as you play. For instance, let's say you want to be married to Elli. There is some flag in the game that can be turned on and off which indicates you are married to her. The code that would make you married to her simply tells the game to turn that flag on (change a specific entry in the RAM from a 0 to a 1).
The problem is, the code has no idea where the game keeps this flag, so to speak. All we know is where we think the game will store it, and this is done by observing what happens when we play it (the process literally involves watching what changes in the RAM when you marry Elli). That's why stage 1 and 2 codes exist, because the game stores information in a certain place when you start up the cartridge, and then in others once you load your actual game and start to walk around.
The reason that codes might not work is simply that your game is storing these pieces of information in places we haven't found yet. My best recommendation is either use stage 1 codes (which tend to be more reliable), or use the stage 2 while walking around outside (not during a festival). There are some people, however, who simply cannot get these codes to work for them. I highly doubt that the game is designed like this on purpose, but it appears that things in memory get moved around quite a bit. I've done the best that I can, and I sincerely hope that you can get these working for you.
Master Codes
The Master Code For The Coebreaker System Is As Follows:
0000E882 000A 100D1BF8 0007
If you are not using an emulator then you MUST plug this code in before using any other codes and this code must be active whenever any other codes are active.
