Most of Stuntman is self-explanatory because the director tells you exactly what you 
have to do. This FAQ outlines the trickiest parts of each stunt and explains how to
get past them. This is my first attempt at a FAQ, so please be kind... I'm sure a 
better one will be submitted to GameFAQs in the future, but until then I hope this
guide helps you through the most difficult parts of Stuntman for the GBA.

This guide covers the Test Runs first, where you only need a score of 50% on to pass.

Test Run 1: Fire in the Bus, Toothless in Wapping, London

The stuntman introduces the first test run by telling you: "For this first test run, 
you must avoid the expolding buses and hit a number of objects." At the start of the
test run, go slightly to the left so that the car is on the pavement as you pass the
first exploding bus. Keep right, and slightly on the pavement, after the first 90' 
handbrake turn then dodge past the blue car to the other side of the road so that 
you can avoid the second exploding bus. Clip right and immediately cross the street
to pass the black RV. Do the handbrake turn and hit the objects. Stay close to the 
right side of the road so that you can pass the blue car on the right. Then cross
the street and pass the RV on the left. Go right after the checkpoint and hit the 
crates and barrels. After the jump, go through the narrow passage and immediately 
after the checkpoint, handbrake turn left to make sure you hit the barrels. Then 
brake in the square to finish the first test run.


Test Run 2: Control the train, A Whoopin' and a Hollerin', Louisiana

"In this second traing session, you have to jump onto the pile of wood to avoid the 
oncoming high-speed train." Begin by aiming slightly right, so that you avoid the 
train and cross the tracks on the right side of the road. Stay on the left side of 
the road as you turn the corner and avoid the first car. Pass the two blue cars on 
the left and make the jump. After the checkpoint, hit the crates and continue 
straight to clip the wall. Pass the white car on the right and overdo the handbrake 
turns a little to make sure they register with the director. The rest of this stunt 
is simple as long as you keep going quickly. If you arn't fast enough to get ahead 
of the train, stop and wait for it to pass before you attempt the jump. After it's 
gone, you can still get points for the jump.


Test Run 3: Street-Rush, Blood Oath, Bangkok

"At this point in the test run, you have to jump onto the trailers while avoiding 
the traffic." This is tricky because this car is much faster than the previous two.
The after the second turn, avoid the black RV by either going to the left or right 
of it. You'll either get there before it has turned out so you have to go in front 
of it and avoid the truck, or it will have already pulled out and you can squeeze 
behind it. In my opinion, that's one of the most difficult parts of this stunt.
Head past the truck and go straight between the cars. After the handbrake turn hit 
the boxes and slow down around the two corners so that you can line up with the car
transporter. Now speed up and don't slow down around the roadworks where you have 
to hit the bins, or you won't be able to get ahead of the black RV. This takes a 
lot of practise so don't worry about it at first. You only need a score of 50% on 
these stunts to pass, so you can worry about passing that car later. Keep going
straight and avoid the brown truck which tries to run you off the road. Handbrake 
turn and hit the various objects strewn across the alley. Watch out for the black 
RV (it's easier to go behind it) and speed down the street over another transporter.
After the checkpoint go through the narrow passage and try to line up with the jump.
This is a very difficult jump to get right but at this point in the game it isn't 
essential that you get it right. Do a 180' handbrake turn to finish the stunt.


Test Run 4: Danger on the Freeway, Blood Oath, Bangkok

"This time the practise run puts you behind the wheel of a fast car in the middle 
of heavy traffic," the stuntman tells you as an introduction to the next test run.
Pass the cars as instructed and line up with the jump. As soon as you land stay to 
the right hand side to avoid the oncoming red car. Continue straight, avoiding 
traffic until you have to swerve left through the wooden barrier. Back off from the
truck and stay behind it until it passes the turning to the left. The truck is near
impossible to get past, and you should have plenty of time anyway. Dodge the red 
car and go through the gap. Speed down the freeway and line up with the jump. Just
like last time, you need to stay right as soon as you land to avoid the red car.
Continue as instructed and be careful to swerve right after you hit the second set 
of crates so that you can pass the car on the right. cross over and pass the next car
on the left. After the checkpoint hit the objects and stop.


Test Run 5: Slippery Surfaces, Conspiracy, Switzerland

"This test run is your first encounter with snow and controlled skids on ice."
Most of this stunt isn't difficult once you get used to the car, and anticipate 
the turns a little, i.e. push the arrow button slightly before you actually want 
the car to turn. Hit the bridge support and slide through the narrow gaps after the
black car. This section is important because you need to keep going quickly so that 
near the end of the stunt, you aren't very far away from the black car. It makes the
last section a lot easier so stay close to the chase vehicle. Tap the action button 
(L) and drive up onto the bank, keeping close to the right hand side. Take the jump,
and hit the objects, keeping close to the edge so that you can make the narrow gap 
at the end. Clip the right wall and fall over the waterfall. Follow the vehicle 
across the frozen lake, sliding into the action button square, and follow the car
through the gap in the logs. Slide round the corner so that you line up for the jump
and hit the objects at the end. If you were going fast enough at the beginning you 
should be able to get under the rocks with no trouble, otherwise you need to swerve 
slightly left on the first one, and right past the second. This is probably the 
hardest part of all the test runs, so don't get discouraged. After the boulders, you
need to hit the action button twice, and do a 90' handbrake turn, followed by a 
180' handbrake turn.


Test Run 6: Ice Forest, Conspiracy, Switzerland

"The practice conditions are difficult for this run, not only do you have to cope 
with the snow, but you also have to avoid the cable cars that fall down along your
route." Begin by swerving through the barrier and driving ahead of the turquoise car 
in order to pass it on the right. Avoid the other cars and make the jump over the 
logs. Go through the gap and do the 90' handbrake turn into the forest. Speed up as
you smash through the barriers so that the car is going fast enough to cross the pit.
Clip right, then slow down so you don't fly out around this corner and clip the next 
rock. Continue to the left of the cable car and through the checkpoint. go to the 
right of the next cable car and smash through the fence. Do the handbrake turn, then 
stay on the right edge of the road to pass the oncoming car. The rest of the stunt
should be easy if you have enough time. There's another 90' handbrake turn followed 
by a jump over some logs. Stop in the square to finish this stunt.


Test Run 7: Panzer Attack, The Scarab of Lost Souls, Egypt

"The environment provides a new challenge for this test run. You'll be driving in 
city and desert conditions." You'll notice that the jeep feels a lot slower than 
some of the previous cars so in many ways this stunt is a lot easier than a few of
the last stunts. Do a 90' handbrake turn to the left and head across to the right 
hand side of the road. Avoid the truck and smash through the barrier. Keep straight 
as you go through the gap and the checkpoint. Make the handbrake turn and be inside
the box when the explosion goes off. Slow down or handbrake turn around the next 
corner so that you don't miss the boxes, then stick to the left side of the road 
and pass the truck. Hit the barrels and do the 180' handbrake turn. It's quite 
difficult to get inside the next explosion box after the handbrake turn but remember
thet you only need 50% to pass this test run. Continue straight and, depending on
your speed either go to the left or right of the tank into the explosion box. If you
didn't skim the last explosion, go to the right, if you did, you could try the left 
side, but it's much more difficult. After the handbrake turn accelerate through the 
barrier and the checkpoint. Again, depending on your speed, go to the left or right 
of the moving tank. If you are slow, go left, if you've gotten there quickly, go 
right. Continue round the handbrake turn and through the barrier. Go through the gap
and speed up for the jump. Stay near the left wall as you cross the checkpoint so 
that you're in the right position to hit the barrier. Squeeze past the tank and 
finish by handbrake turning between the boxes so that the car is parallel to the 
wall.


Test Run 8: Moving Target, The Scarab of Lost Souls, Egypt

"Practise gets more difficult here and good timing is essential if you want to
succeed." Hit the barrels and turn right to drive straight past the truck and clip
the corner. Continue through the checkpoint and speed past the car. Don't worry 
about the car if you aren't going fast enough. Hit the wooden fence and aim for the
pillar. Aim slightly to the right of the next pillar and go through the gap. Head 
through the checkpoint and pass the truck on the left, and the car on the right.
Accelerate for the jump and hurry to the explosion box. After the checkpoint stay 
left to pass the car and crash through the hut. Don't slow down as you make the next
few jumps and skim the explosions. Jump across the pit and go down the hill towards 
the gap. Curve right through the checkpoint and make the final jump. Hit the action 
button to complete this test run.


Test Run 9: Live Twice for Tomorrow, Monaco

"In this test run you have to follow a helicopter through terrain that is full of 
cliffs and tunnels." Accelerate between the cars and swerve round the corner, 
staying to the left of the second green car. Skim the explosion and continue right
without letting off the accelerator, after you hit the objects, turn sharply to the
right and skim the explosion and line up for the jump. Hit the action button to 
activate the nitro. Go through the tunnel, dodging the cars and skimming the 
explosion. Head to the right side of the tunnel to pass the next car and head 
round the corner to the next checkpoint. Stick to the right side to avoid the next
car and make the jump. Aim right around the building and hit the objects. Stay
on the left as you enter the tunnel to avoid the oncoming car. Clip the rock and 
hit the action button. Clip the next two rocks and finish with a 90' handbrake turn.

Each movie contains three or four stunts, which include the test runs, but you now 
need a score of 85% on all stunts to continue. 


Toothless in Wapping, London:

Stunt 1: Fire in the Bus
You will have already done this stunt during the test runs, but you now need a score
of 85% to continue. The stuntman tells you: "In this scene, Vince and Ray are 
escaping towards the quays with a safe in the back of the car. I I have to avoid the 
exploding buses and crash into a bunch of objects. Throughout the whole stunt, the 
director is in radio contact and tells me what he wants me to do." At the start
of this stunt, go slightly to the left so that the car is on the pavement as you pass
the first exploding bus. Keep right, and slightly on the pavement, after the first 
90' handbrake turn then dodge past the blue car to the other side of the road so that 
you can avoid the second exploding bus. Clip right and immediately cross the street
to pass the black RV. Do the handbrake turn and hit the objects. Stay close to the 
right side of the road so that you can pass the blue car on the right. Then cross
the street and pass the RV on the left. Go right after the checkpoint and hit the 
crates and barrels. After the jump, go through the narrow passage and immediately 
after the checkpoint, handbrake turn left to make sure you hit the barrels. Then 
brake in the square to finish this stunt.

Stunt 2: Warehouse Trap
"In this sequence Vince and Ray are driving along the quays. This stunt makes quite 
an impression - I have to avoid the huge containers that fall along my route, reverse
and finish with a jump... making sure that I've got up enough speed to completely 
wreck the car." As soon as this stunt begins, head to the left side of the road 
through the gap and scrape along the wall. Handbrake turn around the two corners and
stick close to the right hand side to avoid the oncoming red car. Cross the street to
pass the RV on the left and do the 90' handbrake turn at the next corner. Hit the 
barrels and head towards the left hand side of the road to avoid the falling 
container. Hit the barrels and the barrier before driving around the right hand end 
of the next container. Swerve into the square and do the tricky 180' turn. Hit the 
next set of barrels and head up the ramp through the checkpoint. Hit some more 
barrels and press the action button to activate the nitro. Carry on straight to hit
the objects and finish the stunt.

Stunt 3: Chase through the Quays
"This one takes place in a warehouse district. I'm driving a police car, chasing one
of the dentist's men. I have to stay right on the tail of the lead car while 
avoiding all the heavy trucks in the car park. At the end of the stunt, I have to
set off an explosion to blow up a vehicle." Begin by heading straight towards the
bins, then turn left as soon as you hit them. Come close to the corner and curve 
right, without using the handbrake, so that you slide nicely through the gap after
the car. Make the jump and head through the checkpoint in front of the truck. Hit the
bins and handbrake turn round the corner so that you scrape along the wall. Follow 
the chase car through the checkpoint go up onto the left side of the bank. Hit the 
crate and dodge the two parked trucks. Go back up onto the ramp and hit the barrels
before lining up with the jump. Hit the crate and go around the left of the truck. 
Go right and through the checkpoint. Go behind the truck on the left and head 
towards the front of the furthest truck before heading between them at the last 
minute. Carry on straight through the checkpoint to the handbrake turn. Carry on 
straight to scrape the wall and finish with the action button. 

Well Done! You finished all the stunts for Toothless and Wapping!



A Whoopin' and a Hollerin', Louisiana:

Stunt 1: Control the Train
"In this long stunt, I'm driving for the Horse brothers. I have to watch out for 
other cars and rocks but the high point is a jump over a pile of logs to avoid 
a collision with an oncoming train." This is a repeat of the Whoopin' and Hollerin'
test run, but again you need 85% to pass. Begin by aiming slightly right, so that you 
avoid the train and cross the tracks on the right side of the road. Stay on the left 
side of the road as you turn the corner and avoid the first car. Pass the two blue 
cars on the left and make the jump. After the checkpoint, hit the crates and continue 
straight to clip the wall. Pass the white car on the right and overdo the handbrake 
turns a little to make sure they register with the director. The rest of this stunt 
is simple as long as you keep going quickly. If you arn't fast enough to get ahead 
of the train, stop and wait for it to pass before you attempt the jump. After it's 
gone, you can still get points for the jump.

Stunt 2: Hell comes to Town
"This is the moment in the film where Heinous' Moonshine gets into the sewers and
starts exploding all around me. Timing is crucial here, especially when the 
smokestacks start collapsing." Stay on the left of the cars as the stunt begins so
that you easily pass the second car on the left and can swerve through the barrier 
onto the hill. Aim for the chimney as you cross the checkpoint, the turn sharply
right and stay on the grass past the falling smokestacks. Make the jump and go left 
through the narrow passage. Hit the crate and stay on the right side of the road 
as you cross the checkpoint so that you pass the car on the right. Turn left, then 
do the 90' handbrake turn. Jump over the pool and crash through the fence at 
the end. Handbrake turn left at the end then stay on the left hand pavement
to avoid the falling chimney. Cross the street and dodge the chimney through the 
narrow gap. Finish the stunt with a 180' handbrake turn.

Stunt 3: Moonshine and Nitro
"This is the scene where the sherriff has booby-trapped the water towers and I have 
to drive underneath them before they collapse. In the middle of the scene there's a
jump across a river - This calls for some precision as I have to press the nitro 
button at exactly the right moment." Follow the sherriff's car and avoid the blue car
by passing it on the right. Handbrake turn at the end and accelerate down the road.
head right towards the crate and handbrake turn right as you hit it. Crash through 
the next crate and circle around the hill to get back onto the road. Cross the
checkpoint and stay left to pass the car and hit the two sets of crates. Cross
the next checkpoint and swerve into the action button box. Hit the action button to
activate the nitro. When you land, turn left gradually to hit the boxes, then drive 
to the left side of the road and pass the grey car. After the checkpoint, cross to 
the right hand side of the road. Slow down and reverse in the box. Continue up the
path on the right and smash through the fence. Go towards the left hand side of the 
road and under the water tower. Make the jump, go through the checkpoint, and stop
inside the square to finish this stunt.


Well Done! You finished all the stunts for A Whoopin' and a Hollerin'!

------------General Tips------------
====================================

1. If you fail a stunt, i.e. you're too slow or you destroy the vehicle, hit the
START button and choose 'start again' before the director yells cut. You can do this 
at any point during the stunts and it means that even if you screw up, it won't count
as another attempt. This means that you can trick the game into giving you a huge 
attempt bonus because it thinks that you're still on your first go.
