    This is the fifth version:
    
    It contains all the info I have confirmed up to the end of the fifth chapter.
    All lists have been revised for the increasing amount of characters.
             
    Notes about the next version:
    
    I will try updating the faq everytime I replay a new chapter, so that means the 
    last version will be version 8.0 .I don't know how much time it will take me to 
    replay the game and type each chapter so just revisit the faq page from time to 
    time.

    0-PROLOGUE: "SHINING AGAIN"
    ================================================================================
    
    Authorīs note:
    
    I said "heeeeeyyyyy!" when a Shining Force remake subtitled "Resurrection of 
    the Dark Dragon" was going to be made for the GBA console. And this time would 
    not be a simple Genesis port, like Phantasy Star Collection, this time the game 
    would include many new features.
    
    The first Shining Force game has always been one of my favourite titles, only 
    after Shining in the Darkness and Phantasy Star 2. So, as soon as the game came 
    out I ordered a copy. Now after replaying the game twice I have decided to make 
    a Secrets Faq containing all the info on characters and items included in the 
    game, even for the new card feature. Believe me!, some of them are really hard 
    to find.
    
    I've tried not mentioning mayor spoilers but that's really difficult to do.
    If you want to avoid spoilers just use this faq as a full completition guide 
    when you replay the game a second time.

                  the entrance from battle 11) and he will make Lunar Dew.
                  Take the Lunar Dew to Zylo at his cell cage in Bustoke.

                       you must see Yogurt sleeping on a carpet. Go near the priest
                       and search the wall left of him, this will make Yogurt join.

               First Pao Town, after it moves and becomes deserted.
          Condition :
               C1 : Chapter 3, Bustoke Town
                    -> Visit Kokichi at his house in Bustoke after battle 11, his
                       house is located left from the entrance to town, the first
                       door from the left.Talk to him and then search the strange
                       engine on the table, after that watch his demo outside his
                       house, where the lone dead end road is.
               C2 : Chapter 4, 1st Pao Town
                    -> As the story progresses if you met C1, he will join when 
                       the town moves.

          Condition : When the town moves, visit the centre of town and you will
                      see him there waiting for you to talk to him, just do it, 
                      he will join.

                    -> Get a Doming egg: talk to one of the mages in the room near
                       the library. After that search the strange machine near him
                       to get the egg.

                    -> Talk to a man located in the item shop south of town,and he 
                       will ask you if you wanna hatch your egg, agree and Domingo
                       will be born joining the force.

                    -> Talk to Dr. Crock and then to him to watch another steam 
                       suit demo, after battle 7.

                    -> Talk to him at the Paopigs' yard and he will join.

                     -> Talk to him on your way to battle 17 and he will join.

          Condition :
               This is a secret character that you can easily miss.
               The clue for recruiting him can be readinside the house located on
               the island where battle 19 takes place. At the bookshelf behind the
               lone priest. You must read 3 notes to get acces to a new character.
               
               1st one : A sign northwest of town. "Floating on the sea" .
               2nd one : One of the house on water has a sign attached. Read it on 
                         boat. "Not the bookshelf".
               3rd one : A sign located on the Island south of town, only accesible
                         after battle 19. "A cross atop the spire".
               Then    : In the church search the furniture to the right of the 
                         priest. "Practising a secret ninja technique".
               Finally : Search the blue fish north of town and Hanzou will join.

    Up to this point the list contains weapons up to the end of the fifth chapter.
    They are sorted by type and attack power.
    
    Keys to the list:        
    
     Name  : The name of the weapon.
    
     C/D/B : "D" means it can be bought at the Weapon or Item Shop
             under the "Deals" option.
             "C" means that the item is cursed.
             "B" means the item would broke if it is used too
             much under the use command in battle.
    
     Cost  : In Gold coins value.
    
     At    : Attack power.
     SpU   : Special use in battle under the "use" battle command.
     SpP   : Special Power.
    
     User  : The character class which can use the weapon, ( -> means promotion)

     Is it worth to equip cursed items???
     Well..., here is the preliminar version list of CURSED ITEMS AND THEIR CURSE.
     See weapons and rings lists for their locations and read which character class 
     can equip them.
     Cursed item CANNOT BE SOLD FOR GOLD, OR REPAIRED IF THEY BREAK.
     Many of them, can be used in battle under the item command to create different
     magical effects, but they break easyly, usually after one use.

    9-SECRET OUTFITS

    9.1 Khris' Maid Uniform
    -----------------------
    
       Right after battle 11, before entering the cave that appears after the battle
       backstep to the top of the mountain where the Dark Elves gathered. Search the
       wall 4 squares left from the right corner (grass green zone) and you will get
       Khris' special outfit, a Maid Uniform "really cute".

    9.2 Anri's Daring Dress
    -----------------------
       
       Right after battle 12, before entering the small bridge for battle 13, serach
       the small range of grey mountains left of the bridge and you will get Anri's
       special outfit, "really cute".

    10-FUNNY STUFF

    10.1 : Boost your character levels using items,healing or stats altering Magic
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    
      Use any healing item,healing or good stats altering spell and even if you are 
      not awarded the recovery, for example, if you are at full Hp you will get 10 
      exp. points.
      The only bad thing is that your Mp will be depleted and the item lost.
    
      Playing the old shining force cart for genesis you would only get 1 exp. point
      if you were at full health.

    10.2 : Max's SWORD-ARM 
    ----------------------
    
      The ultimate weapon...  :) !SARCASM! :) ...
      MAX'S SWORD ARM :
    
      Unequip max's weapon and in battle attack an enemy. AWESOME!...
      Max's bare hand transformed into a short sword. JEJEJEJE
    
      In the old shing force game you could see max attacking barehanded.
      Ejem... The same goes for any other character, they attack with a weapon being
      barehanded.

    10.3 : THE SHINING "YOGURT FORCE"

      First you need to recruit Yogurt.
      Yogurt won't ever level up but if he deals the final blow to any foe he will 
      drop a Yogurt ring which everybody can equip.
      That's a very funny item, if you equip a character with it he will appear as
      a tall Yogurt clone.
      HEY!! What about getting 12 Yogurt rings and turning the "Shining Force" into 
      a shining "Yogurt Force"?.

    10.4 : WHERE IS MY DEMIMAN BUSTER? (Contributed by JJ) NOT CONFIRMED YET

      This seems as a translation glitch, I am using the european pal version.
      Take a look at the Bonus for battle 2, it says you get a Demiman Buster but
      the sword is finally called a Dwarfbuster. Is the same as what you get in the
      USA version?

    Again I mention that this theory that JJ sent to me by e-mail is not confirmed :
    
    Finishing off an enemy with a character that uses the same type of weapon will 
    occasionally result in acquiring that weapon.
    Example : Dullahan (Doom Blade), kill with Max (Sword user) and he may drop it.
                                     kill with Hans (Arrow user) and he won't.
    
    He mentions that this seems to happen after recruiting the 3 extra characters,
    (Narsha, Zuika and Mawlock), chapter 4. Did you notice this too?
