Why should i keep my pokemon from evolving?

  1. Somebody told me my pokemon will learn moves at a lower level if they dont evolve. Is this true for my charmander? If so, what moves and when?

  1. Most pokemon shud evolve early but there r some exceptions n its based on ur choice.
Most pokes learn moves earlier if they r at their lowest form but if u evolve u possibly haf access to more moves n better stats.
Pokes which evolve by elemental stones shud be kept becoz they learn moves but their evolves forms will never learn any moves by themselves anymore
Some pokes learn different moves, like Bulbasaur learns Giga Drain but Vulva doesnt, Shroomish can learn Spore but Breloom cant
look at a pokedex to make sure

  2. I would say check the Pokedex at Serebii.net, look at the level up move list for the current and next evolution and decide if it is worth holding off.

In some cases only the lower form can only learn the move

  4. It's true about unevolved pokemon learning moves faster, in fact, some of them dont learn anymore moves after they evolve, but there are barely any and those usually need a elemental stone to evolve them.
Although they learn moves faster, not evolving them puts them into a disadvantage later on in the game where most of the pokemon you fight are evolved. Evolved pokemon usually have higher/better stats then unevolved ones. I usually evolve them as soon as I can, and i recommend you do too.
