"Urbz is good. But its no walk through heaven."

Urbz is the unacknowledged sequel to Bustin' Out on GBA. It has some same characters, and your uncle in the last game can even call you. But lets focus on the review.

Gameplay 8/10

Like Bustin' Out. Your goal is to make friends and money. You are given full control over your one urb. Or sim if you will. You visit multiple jobs, play a mini game and make cash. However, this game is a bit hard when you start. You live in a small house most of the time, you can't afford a fridge or proper utilities to survive, and theives like to steal from you. It all seems repetitive. You end up having to spend more money than your making. But advancing through the story gives you more homes and jobs. Another repetitive feature. Wheres the freedom? Your stuck in areas and forced to do missions. Most of which are lame, such as buying somebody lunch, or forking out 4000 dollars to pay for somebodies ticket.

You also belong to a rep group according to the quiz you take. The streeties represent the more hip people. Nerdies are more technology. Richies of course like money, and Artsies like music and art. You also have rivals. Artsies and Nerdies are rivals, so you'll start with a -5 relation with any urb. And Streeties and Richies are rivals. Rep groups don't really effect you that much.

Graphics 9/10

Its OK. They put detail into the game, but sometimes, looking at it too long, especially on a GBA will hurt your eyes and make everything blury looking.

Sound 7/10

Oh my GOODNESS it's annoying. The sims talk fine. But the music is demoralizing. Same songs and the TV is loud loud LOUD! Adjust the volume to your likings...

Buy or Rent?

Buy it. The freedom in the end of the game makes it worth the buy.

Overall: 8/10

Its a decent game. It has basic controls, and you won't be bored too much. Don't expect a miracle, its not THAT good.
