Review by AlanEdgeHead

"A short game that only hardcore DBZ fans could love."

Introduction
Dragonball Z: Buu's Fury is the third game in the Legacy of Goku series. The first one was alright, the second was great. So how does this one stand up to the previous games? I will now rate this game.

Story : 7/10
Buu's Fury takes place in the Buu saga portion of the Dragonball Z storyline. Babidi has shown up on earth, hoping to revive Majin Buu. He searches for people to get energy from so he can revive Buu, and finds this energy in Gohan. Babidi finally revives Buu and it's up to the Z fighters to stop him.

Gameplay : 8/10
The gameplay in this game is almost exactly like the gameplay in LoG 2. One button punches and kicks, and one button shoots Ki blasts and energy waves. The L button is used to cycle through your attacks and techniques. One new feature that wasn't in the previous games is, you can now use the R button to block. Watch your opponent attack, and at the right time, hit R and you'll take less damage.

Graphics : 8/10
The graphics in this game aren't too bad. Considering this is a GBA game, I wasn't expecting great graphics, but I was hoping they would be better than the previous games. The characters look like Chibi versions of those from the show. Big heads on little bodies, shooting miniaturized beams. But games aren't all about graphics, so this isn't a big deal.

Sound : 7/10
The sound in this game is basically just video game versions of themes from the series. You figure that would be a good thing, but it isn't always. The music can get annoying at times, but it can be pretty spiffy. The only thing I really like about the sound is the sound it makes when you are transforming into a Super Saiyan. I don't know why I like that, I just do.

Replayability : 6/10
There is little replay value in this game. The game is pretty fun while you are playing it, but when you beat the game, there isn't anything else to do, except go around killing all of those enemies you have beaten before. No more boss battles, no nothing. But what I mean by beat is: Level everyone to 200. After you do that, you'll put this game up for good, unless you are a hardcore DBZ fan.

Summary
Buu's Fury is a short and easy game. I didn't even get ten hours out of it. But it was ok while it lasted. I would say this game is for the hardcore DBZ fans only, and if you don't fall into that category, stay away from this game.

Overall Score : 7/10

Pros:
+ The gameplay is simple and easy to figure out.

Cons:
- This game is too short and too easy. You'll have it beat in a couple of days.
