There is a Battery in Ru/Sa/Em that runs the Internal Clock It has Died. Any in game events that are A once a Day Occurance (Lottery, Berry Freebies), Some Time Based Events (Like Berry Growth) will stop or Some will Locked into one option or the other (Tides, Eevee Happylutions)
All Game Save Info will be safe as it is a Flash Type Memory
Those that are telling you to Link with other games are confusing this with the Ru/Sa Berry Glitch which has a similar symptom of the Berries stop Growing but is a totally unrelated problem

You'll have to connect it to another game that fixes it. IIRC, connecting it to Col/XD/FR/LG/E should be enough

The game can still be played, so what is the problem? I think you're playing it on an emulator, maybe that's why.
This message means that event that require certain time to pass will no longer happen. These events are berries growing, and the shoal cave going through high tide and low tide, that's all. Other than that, the game is still the same.

yeah, i have the same message. It gets a little annoying, but if you have means to trade other pokemon from other games, you hardly notice it.

You can't fix it, except by buying a new game or by wiping your progress and attempting to change the battery, although this is very risky.
When the game's internal battery has run dry, it basically means (as gamingmaster said) that events based on time will no longer happen, and certain pokemon or events related to those will now become impossible. This is inevitable with all Pokemon games, and it's happened to both my Crystal and Gold.

Well, this has happened MANY times on my Emerald, and I found out that it could be simply remedied by playing for several minutes at a time frequently, as well as leaving it in the Gameboy unit. This usually gives the internal battery a jump-start and revives it 9you can tell when the message stops appearing when you turn on the game).
If THAT doesn't work, you'll just have to live without clock-based events.

This is known to happen in R/S, but I've never seen it happen in Emerald...
Google the error message that you're getting, and you should find instructions on how to fix it. I've done it before, but IIRC there was a button combination involved that I can't remember...

If on emulator: Go to Options > Real Time Clock.
If on GBA: Well... I think the others explained it very well.
