    I. Introduction
    ===============================================================================
    
    Battle chips are the main component in Megaman Battle Network series. They are
    important in order to delete viruses encountered in the game. Some battle chips
    with certain code may come in handy in the battle in the game. It is always
    good to collect lots of battle chips with different codes so that you are able
    to make a nice folder to inflict decent damage on enemies quickly.

    Blue or Purple Mystery Data (BMD/PMD) is a diamond-shape spinning object around
    the cyber worlds. It may contain battle chip, zennys, bugfrag or powerups.
    (something always good) All BMDs/PMDs are just there for you. It won't be
    replaced after you grab it. You need Unlocker subchip to open PMDs.

    III. GMD (Green Mystery Data)
    ===============================================================================
    
    Green Mystery Data (GMD) is a green diamond-shape spinning object around the
    cyber worlds. It may contain battle chip, zennys, bugfrag or even virus. All
    GMDs will be replaced in that area automatically after Megaman jack out and in
    again. So, why don't you grab them as if they are free? (they are, no?) Get
    four same battle chips from GMDs if you want.
    
    Notes to get battle chips from GMD around cyber worlds:
    
    1. ITEMS IN GMD ARE RANDOM.
    It may contain battle chip, zennys, bugfrag or even virus. Just keep jack out
    and in to get the chip you need. It depends on luck. You may play for long
    hours but still cannot get any chip desired. Somehow, GMDs are only placed in
    certain parts in that area. Try to remember possible places where GMDs are.
    
    2. USE AUTORUN NCP OR SNEAKRUN NCP.
    (Autorun bought from SciLab 3 pink bugfrag trader)
    (Sneakrun bought from Undernet 2 orange-blue bugfrag trader)
    These Navi Customizer Programs will cut down a lot of battles you fight while
    running around the network to search for GMD. Remember NOT to hold B button
    when using Autorun NCP or else you are still facing the battles at the same
    rate as you don't equip Autorun. Sneakrun is also nice but useless in Nebula
    Area. Generally, use SneakRun outside Nebula Area and use Autorun in Nebula
    Area. Using both at the same time is unnecessary.
    
    3. DO NOT USE MILLIONAIRE NCP.
    Well, I suppose you need battle chips instead of zennys if you read this FAQ.
    This Navi Customizer Program will give you a higher probability to get zennys
    from GMDs you access. You sure don't want this right?
    
    4. USE UNTRAP SUBCHIP.
    GMDs, especially in certain areas involving Liberation Mission, are more
    likely to have viruses when you access to GMDs. If you use untrap, you will not
    enter battle screen if they contain virus. Instead, battle chip, zennys or
    bugfrag is given to you after the subchip removes the virus. Simply put, untrap
    saves you time and gives a higher probability for you to get the battle chips.
    The effect of untrap won't wear off until you jack out.

    In-battle GMD is the green data on the enemies' side when you fight viruses.
    Again it appears randomly in the battles. Get those (1 HP) without letting GMD
    being hit by you or enemies.
    
    Way to get battle chips from In-battle GMD:
    
    1. Get into a battle that contains In-battle GMD and win that battle.
    2. Use LockEnemy subchip right after that battle. Save.
    3. Run in that area to get into another battle. Reload save data if you cannot
       get the battle chips from In-battle GMD.
    4. Keep on battling until you are satisfied or use another LockEnemy subchip if
       it expire.
    
    In-battle GMD is not affected by any Nebula Hole.

    VII. Bonus Panel In Liberation Mission
    ===============================================================================
    
    Bonus Panel in Liberation Mission will give you battle chips if you press A
    button at the right time. (Anyone remember Jackpot?) Bonus Panel may contain
    HPRecover, BattleChip, OrderPoint, MajorHit or OnePhaseInvinciblity. After
    getting the chips needed, you can choose to retreat from mission. You still
    keep the chips in the pack you have gotten so far. When a mission is started,
    only a single chip will be randomly set into all Bonus Panels in that mission.
    
    If you luckily get a chip you want from a Bonus Panel, you can obtain that same
    chip from other Bonus Panels too in the same Liberation Mission (don't retreat)
    , as long as you can get to another Bonus Panel. But if you check a Bonus Panel
    and it contains your non-favourite chip, you have to retreat and start the same
    mission again.
    
    Way to get battle chips from Bonus Panel in Liberation Mission:
    
    1. Start a Liberation Mission. Before liberating a Bonus Panel, save the game
       by using ability of Protoman/Colonel or Meddy/ToadMan.
    2. Liberate Bonus Panel (no battle) and hit A button trying to get battle chip.
       If you fail, reload save data and try again.
    3. After you get battle chips of/out of your choice, press Enter and retreat
       from the mission. Save.
    4. Repeat procedures above until you are done.
    
    You can use the ability of Gyroman/Shadowman when you if him in your team. Save
    the game and go straight to Bonus Panel over dark panels with that Navi and
    liberate it. For ToB player, let Gyroman BombLiberates (use 1 Order Point) the
    dark panel next to Bonus Panel far away from the starting point (if possible).
    Then let other teammates rest on their turn without doing anything. Once on the
    second phase, save and let Gyroman do it.
    
    Bonus Panel in Liberation Mission is not affected by any Nebula Hole.

    Talk to Higsby's salesgirl in the shop, ACDC Town and choose the second option.

    Order System shows up. Either get the chip with any code or trade library with
    friends through linking. Then, come to the shop and order it. For every chip,

            the middle. Walk up the slope for the first time and Lord of Chaos will

            drop down to you from sky.
