Eventually these were used to make styles, like in MMBN2 and 3, on a MMBN5 cart. They all require the use of a GamesharkSP or a CodeBreaker, but they can all be used for fun in the game after you've done everything. They are quite fun, and are the reason we own a GamesharkSP (BSM) and a CodeBreaker (RP). We decided to wite this, because there isn't one and SushiSquid can't get around to it. If it weren't for him, this would never have been made. Also, see those *s in parenthesis? Hit Ctrl+F and put in the number of stars for the section you want to read to jump to that section. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What is an E-Reader card?(*) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An E-Reader card is a card for the E-Reader that gives special effects to Megaman. These effects can range from more health to a different element for Megaman. They can even change his buster to something else, like a sword. Basically, E-Reader cards can be summed up as: Useful little bits of paper that help quite a bit in making Megaman a custom Navi. But they were only released in Japan. So how do we get those? Simple, really. GamesharkSP. Or CodeBreaker. Whichever one you prefer. The codes all are the cards effects, so you can have fun playing with a Megaman that suits you. You can even turn codes on and off, and mix and match them. So everyone will have a different experience. But that isn't why we are here. The reason you clicked on the link to get here is so you could make a style, right? Well, read the next section... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How can you make styles from them? (**) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First, you need to know what you want in a style. Do you want a fast- but-weak gunman? A tank? A chip user? A healer? You can even replicate certain Navis. All in all, you need to know your basis. Say you want a sword-navi. You would want a sword as your buster, right? Try the Chaud's Custom code for that. It will make your navi have a sword-buster and a Widesword charge shot. To make a style, just put codes in a certain order. If, say, you want a sword buster but want a Katana charge shot, don't place the cards like this: Zomon Chaud's Custom That will make your buster into a sword, and your charge shot a WideSword, because the last change is the dominant one. But, if you did this: Chaud's Custom Zomon You'd have a sword buster and a Katana charge shot, because the dominant charge shot is the Katana. Now, certain cards give an effect to a charge shot, like stunning. That means that if you have it on, your charge shot will stun the ememy. But if your charge shot is changed, like to a Katana for example, the added effect won't work. If you leave the charge shot alone, it will stun. Now, to the important part... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The codes (***) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To start off, you must have the E-Reader Master Code. If this is NOT ON, your styles will not work. It is different for each version of MMBN5. Go to "Add New game" on your GamesharkSP, and type in "E-Reader(Team of [navi])". Replace [navi] with your team's leader. Now, for the Master Code, put this in: Team Protoman: 00009876 000A 100003E4 0007 Team Colonel: 0000D2D1 000A 100003E4 0007 After placing that code in, go to add new code, under the new game. Put in: "Open E-Reader screen" as the name. For the style to work, this must also be on. Next comes the creative part: the style making. The first code is easy. Put in this: 320079A0 00XX Replace XX with the number of card codes you used. It goes like this, called hexadecimal coding: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 0A, 0B, 0C... You can have up to 32 codes in effect at once. Also, do not use a higher number than the card codes you used. If you do, your game might get a glitch. While it is fixable, you shouldn't risk it. Now, you have to put 320079YY 00XX in. Replace the YY with the number card code that it is, in hexadecimal coding, starting with D0, then going up. For XX, place the card's number, which is next to the card's name in the list. First: the number next to the card's name. We'll use the Bass-Cross-Megaman code as an example. See the 6F? That means if you want to use it, put the 6F where the XX is in the code above. The name is just after the number, and the effects are after that. Here is the key for the effects: KEY: [NAME] = A bad effect. If the item inside is good, it means this is removing that effect from all cards above it. It may also be a glitch, which can be stopped by Dad's Repair Program. CS____ = Charge Shot effects. These may change the panel under the enemy, cause status effects, or do any number of things. ___Bstr = A Buster effect. If you hit an enemy with your normal buster, the panel under them changes to this. B< = Your shield skill. If you press B and Left at the same time, this happens. B- = Changes your normal B-button attack to this. If this is a chip, you cannot add attack damage or speed to it, and AddBsrt effects will not work with it. Bv = Charge shot effect. If it changes your charge shot to a chip, you cannot add attack damage or speed to it, and CSeffects will not work with it. Everything else is pretty self-explanitory. So, everything works just like the real cards. Say you want to be Bass-Cross Megaman, but don't care about the other codes. You'd use this: 320079A0 0001 320079D0 006F That's because you want the enabler, and because it is the first code you used, you'd put the YY as D0. The XX is 6F because that is the card number. Say you also want extra health. The Gospel card is great for this. But it has many glitches caused by using the Gospel card. There is a way to fix this. Put in Dad's Repair Program. So the code for BCM, Gospel, and Dad's Repair Program is: 320079A0 0002 320079D0 006F 320079D1 0066 320079D2 006D There, you have BCM, HP+ 600, and can never have any glitches in Megaman. Post it there, and if it's unique enough, we might consider adding it to this FAQ. It has to have only one of the same E-Card, and in extreme cases where it just CAN'T be avoided, two. And the first 13, unless noted, are paraphrased from SushiSquid's description. There's one more note. Look at the HP. All of these styles are assuming that you had 1000 HP before the E-Card effects. Your buster will form Grass panels 1/3 of the time. Your charged shot is a FireArm, which will deal 100 damage to enemies, 200 damage if they are on a Grass panel or are Wood type, and 400 damage if they are both! Wow! This works well with NapalmSoul (giving a good use to the SoulTime+2), since the GrassBuster will still form the Grass panels. However, your folder must be heavily based on fire for this style to work well, which means that it'll me multi-coded (this warrants a big need for Custom+1), and you also lose 182 HP and become weak to Aqua. -------------------------------- SquidStyle: (SushiSquid) 320079A00008 320079D00011 320079D10013 320079D20060 320079D30001 320079D4001F 320079D50012 320079D60037 320079D70063 *** Parameters: Custom-1 MegaFolder+2 817 HP Abilities: SwampBuster ChargeShot Chip Destroyer FastBarrier100 B+<- Guard SlowGauge AquaBody This an odd style that is meant for Liberation and NetBattle fights. The normal shot will cause poison panels. This drains their health, making it a lot easier to win battles! The FastBarrier100 protects you for a bit, and the charge shot will leave them chip-less! Block the buster shots with Guard, and then they get hit with a shockwave. SlowGauge keeps the Custom bar from opening. You have received a little punishment for using this, by losing some health and a chip on the Custom Screen. This style is NOT recommended if the opponent has FloatShoes. And, as SushiSquid says, "The whole point is to use your squiddly powers to INK THEM IN THE FACE and drain their health from it." -------------------------------- QuickStyle: (SuperBass) 320079A00005 320079D00067 320079D10057 320079D20023 320079D30033 320079D4003D *** Parameters: Speed+4 Charge+4 Custom+2 935 HP Abilities: B-Charge ZapRing B+<- Shield ChipRecovery FastGauge CustomDamage ElecBody When it is called QuickStyle, they mean QuickStyle! No lolly-dallying around with this style, or you'll get hurt pretty badly! You'll hold down your opponents with the ZapRing. This allows you to use your chips quickly. Never stop using your ZapRing and chips. The reason for this is the bug called CustomDamage. This will drain 200 of your health everytime you enter the CustomScreen. Luckily, everytime you use a chip you will gain back some of your precious health. Use it properly, and you'll be fast and almost invincible. Use it improperly and... well, kiss Megaman goodbye. -------------------------------- PhantomStyle: (aniLEhilated) 320079A00002 320079D0002A 320079D10005 *** Parameters: 1150 HP Abilities: FloatShoes AirShoes B-Charge Poltergeist MoveBug BusterBlank This can become the most powerful style - if it is used properly. Your charge shot, Poltergeist, picks up obstacles on the field and tosses them at the opponent for 150 damage EACH. Awesome, eh? You float, fly, and get an HP boost because you are a phantom. With BusterBlank, your buster has a 1/10 of not firing, and a 1/10 chance of doing 10x damage. One of the coolest features is MoveBug. You will teleport to the farthest tile on your area, and go right through obstacles. This makes it possible to move quickly. For the relatively small cost of 200 HP and a BusterBlank glitch, you get a charge shot that, while inaccurate, does more damage and breaks panels, built-in Rush, which saves you two NC spaces, Custom+1, MegaFolder+2, SoulTime+2, and best of all, StatGuard. StatGuard makes you unable to be paralyzed, blinded, or confused. Ever. Yeah, it rocks. It's a powerful style that hides behind it's excellent defensive capabilities. You control the opponent's field! AirHockey will destroy the obstacles, and the SwampBuster poisons their field. It is equipped with UnderShirt and FastBarrier for defense. It has lowered HP, but MoveHoly more than makes up for it. Since you don't have to move a lot to use your Buster, you'll be able to stay on those Holy panels and get some use out of them. Custom is also boosted. Control your enemies area with Control Style! -------------------------------- BladeStyle: (SushiSquid) 320079A00003 320079D1002E 320079D20055 320079D30013 *** Parameters: Custom+2 920 HP Abilities: B-Sword B-Charge Vaccuum SlowGauge The sword-lover's dream. Your normal shot is the 80-damage Sword chip. Forever. It may be thought that the range is weak, but your charge shot will be your saving grace. A Vacuum that pulls your enemies in to the leftmost square in their area. Obviously, you can now easily slash with the swords. Extra chips in the Custom Screen are always welcome. What's this? Swords cause flinching? No problem. That's the purpose of the SlowGauge. You have more chance to hit with those swords. Couple of problems, though: Vacuum won't be fully effective if there are obstacles or broken panels. And any souls you use will have their charge shot replace the Vacuum. -------------------------------- SquallStyle: (SushiSquid) 320079A00004 320079D0001D 320079D1003A 320079D20005 320079D30019 *** Parameters: 1120 HP Abilities: FloatShoes AirShoes WaterBuster B-Charge Tornado MoveWater AquaBody A wind style that is used to power up storm-them chips. Tornado is not required in your folder, as that's what your Buster is. MoveWater creates water panels, and can be very fun with RainyDay or WavePit. The WaterBuster slows enemies, doubles charge shot, and doubles Elec chips. Wow. Being a wind-type, you have OmniShoes, of course. There is a disadvantage to this fun style, though. YOU ARE INSANELY WEAK TO ELECTRICITY!!! Ouch. And without slowing the opponent down, you won't be able to hit your with your buster much. -------------------------------- WarStyle: (SushiSquid) 320079A00007 320079D00023 320079D10035 320079D20012 320079D3001B 320079D40013 320079D5004D 320079D60063 *** Parameters: Speed +4 Charge +4 Custom -3 1260 HP Abilities: SuperArmor B-MiniBomb B-Charge CircleGun FastBarrier100 SlowGauge CustomDamage This one is used in busting viruses and in Liberation Missions. The MiniBomb does 50 damage, but is a bit inaccurate. Or you can just charge the CircGun and destroy them with it. You have extra HP, a FastBarrier100, and SuperArmor to save your butt. And, like all styles, a few cons. One, this will do horrible against non-Liberation navis and NetBattles due to the Custom of 2, a SlowGauge, and a 200 HP drop every time the Custom Window is opened. It's good for virus and Liberations, but that's it. -------------------------------- HealStyle: (RandyPandy) 320079A00005 320079D0002C 320079D10048 320079D2001F 320079D30055 320079D4006D *** Parameters: Custom+1 SoulTime+2 845 HP Abilities: ChargeShot Chip Destroyer FastBarrier ChipRecovery Tango AutoHeal BugStop You lose a bit of HP, but it doesn't really matter. If you're a player that wants to have a fluid folder but is almost required to throw in Recoveries, then this is the answer. You lose a bit of HP, yes, but in return you heal after every battle. Any chips you use will automatically add to your HP. Custom+1 and SoulTime+2 is always welcome. In NetBattles, Tango will rescue you by giving you 100 HP and a Barrier100. The addition of BugStop will heal away every bug you might ever get - including E-Reader, NC, and DarkChip effects. This means your folder can have a lot of rare chips inside. The extra Custom Window chips and Souls are even better! So what if your HP is halved, you can delete almost everything with all those new chips and extra Soultimes. You don't need your buster either! Plus, you get Rush. Not only will it always do at least 60 damage, depending on what CSEffect you put on, it can do one of the following: 1.Change panels to lava. 2.Change panels to poison. 3.Make their HP drain. 4.Null their NaviCust. 5.Instantly destroy any aura or barrier. You also get SuperArmor, so you charge won't be lost when you get hit. But, because you have such great power, you will have some glitches, too. Just stick BugStop in your NaviCust to fix this! But be warned, you only can have one ChargeShot effect at a time. That's Gunman Style!
