From the beginning to the Torna Canal
When the credits finished go to the meteorite which is east of you with your chocobo(named Boko). Then continue on and you will find two goblins. Just keep attacking to beat them and talk to the girl(named Lenna) then talk to the old man(named Galuf). Try to find the hidden passage leading to a phoenix down which is in the lower-east place of the meteorite then get out of the meteorite and talk to Boko to ride him. Head back to where you first started west of the meteorite and head north until you see a cutscene. After that, Lenna and Galuf join your party, so head north and enter the cave.
Once here train a bit until your party is about level 3. You can heal on the recovery spring to the left. Continue following the path and take the chest along the way containing a Leather Cap. Just ahead you will see a pirate who will press a switch to open the road. So do like him and you can press the switch by pressing A on that switch then continue follow the path. Go into the bridge and you will find yourself on a ship so go take the wheel by standing above it, facing it, and pressing A. and see the cutscene and go with your ship north a bit and a pirate will offer to get you to the wind shrine so accept unless you want to head right to Tule to the far west, which will be covered later.
Go north and enter the wind shrine.
Go to the room west and see the cutscene. Talk to the guy west of the pot to get 5 potions then use to the pot to heal yourself if you need it. Continue through the path starting from the east stairs and once you reach 2 doors, go to the right one first to get a chest with another Leather Cap. Now take the left one and continue following the path and you will find 2 doors and a beast north. Note:There is a fake wall right before the door on the left. Go into the door on the left and you will find a chest with a Broadsword, the door on the right leads nowhere and has nothing. It would be a good idea to return to the first floor and use the pot to heal up, then save. Now return to the monster guarding the door and it'll attack.
Strategy:This isn't a difficult fight given it's the first boss. Make sure you equip that Broadsword you got before the fight and attack. Use a potion or two if your health gets too low, but you shouldn't need too many.
Go north after the fight. There is a hidden passage in the south-east corner of the room containing a Staff(if you can't find it, leave it for the moment). Continue on and u will see a cutscene and you will get your first jobs.
Knight - White Mage Blue Mage - Black Mage Monk - Thief
(If you missed the Staff, run back and make someone a Thief to see the hidden passage)
Now go north and you will find a warp panel, so approach it and u will find yourself outside the wind shrine.
The Blue Mage is unique among mages in that instead of buying spells at a shop, he can learn them from certain enemies. All he has to do is get hit by the Blue Magic in question, then the party needs to win the battle. Not too difficult yet.
Here's a quick list of the currently available Blue Magic
Deals light Wind damage. 4 MP
The upper floors of the Wind Shrine. In addition, they also have a 1/16 chance of dropping an Elixir, so feel free to hang around and grab a few.
Physical attack. No damage penalty from attacking in the back row. Does 8x regular damage if the enemy is the same level the caster is. 0 MP
You fought these guys in the Pirate Cave. They're still there.
You can find these guys inside the Wind Shrine.
Deals damage to an enemy and heals the caster for the same amount dealt.(MaxHP-CurrentHP=Damage). 2MP
With the Goblins in the Pirate Cave. Wait until your Blue Mage gets hit before attacking them so it does 0 damage.
After finishing the wind shrine, return to the ship and go west. You will find a little village called Tule, so go into it and a cutscene will happen. After the cutscene go west to the green horn club and talk to the girl and say yes and make sure that one of your guys is Thief. Get the treasures here and use the hidden passage to get another chest(In total you should get a Tent, a Potion, a Phoenix Down, an Ether, and 100 Gil). Then go to the second floor and open the chest to battle a goblin. For your win you get Leather Shoes. We're done here, so get out the place by talking to the girl again to make her open the desk.
Then go check the barrel east of the inn to get 150 Gil, then go north and u will find some barrels and chests. Check them all for a Potion and a Tent. Now head to the shops, and make sure that you got all the magic you can afford. Then once you finished shopping go north and enter the house north across the bridge. Go in to trigger a cutscene then go out the city in the morning and ride the ship east. You will find a river between 2 metal things walls, so go into that river and check(press A) on that gate and the gate will be open.
Make sure you finish all your business in Tule and the Wind Shrine, once the boss here is defeated, the area before is cut off for a while.
Simply follow the path. The enemies here really only target the female party members oddly enough. When you come to a spot where you go south between two cliffs, heal up and head in. Your ship will get sucked in by a whirlpool, and the second boss attacks.=--KARLABOS--=
Strategy:This guy isn't too much more difficult than Wing Raptor. His two dangerous attacks are Feeler, which inflicts Paralyze on a single member, and Tailscrew, which drops the target to single digit HP(an effect you will be seeing A LOT of later). Heal the Tailscrew target right away to keep them from getting killed right away, or use a Phoenix Down if you couldn't help them. Use Potions/Cure/Vampire to keep yourself healthy and keep attacking him, he'll go down pretty easily.
Added Note:Karlabos is level 5, so if you have any characters at level 5, make them Blue Mages and use Goblin Punch for heavy damage.
Steal:Potion Drop:Phoenix Down
After the battle, Syldra is lost and the ship will float randomly until you come to the Ship Graveyard.
