"Fun if you like soccer for the GBC"

This is a review for Fifa 2000 for the GBC. I love soccer and I love Fifa games. I was excited to see that a couple Fifa games came out for the GBC. Last of which is Fifa 2000 which I have in my possession. It can be fun at times but don't expect something big.

Graphics: (6) As for a GBC game, I though the graphics looked half way decent, nothing impressive here except for the sort of 3D look of the stadium when you begin to play. The players look like little card board cut outs of poorly drawn people. Though the goals look pretty good and so do the stadium, but nothing that really sticks out as great.

Sound: (5) Barely any sound at all, you can barely hear if you wear headphones the referee whistle only if you concentrate. The only highlight is the beginning with a few decent bleep sounds. The crowd is also pretty decent with a few rumbles from them.

Game Play: (7) Game Play is usually a highlight for any game, this is no exception. Soccer is probably done best here, which isn't much. You pass, you kick.....that is pretty much it. Gone are the headers and bicycle kicks that soccer games should have. The CPU is halfway decent but to me its almost impossible to score a goal and if you want to kick it down field you can't really see where it is going.

Storyline (If any): (6) As with any sports game, you pick a team, play as them throughout a season of fun-filled soccer. What impressed me the most was the fact EA has SO many teams to choose from, and this is a GBC we are talking about.

Summary: (6) If you are a hardcore soccer gamer and only have a GBC with you. This is your last hope of a soccer game seeing that Fifa 2001 was cancelled for the GBC in favor of the GBA.
