"What Red, Blue Yellow, and Green should have been"

Pokemon Gold is what the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, should have been like. It's a pretty fun game too.

Graphics: 10
To describe the graphics in one word: AMAZING! They aren't the slightest bit choppy unlike the previous four versions and the colors are marvelous too. Gamefreak wen into surprising detail.

Play Control: 10
The controls are unusually simple, in such a complex game. The game helps you out a lot too with the controls. The hardest thing to do is use a TM, and that's only a 4 step process.

Sound: 10
The music sets the mood for whatever area you are in and the cries of the Pokemon is a cool little feature. The sound effects re nice but a little cartoony. The music sort of draws you into wherever you are, but it gets slightly monotonous after hearing the same thing over, and over, and over again.

Replay Value: 10
With over 200 Pokemon to catch, lots of badges to earn, over 1000 trainers to fight, tons of items to collect, loads of secrets, and a bunch of little side quests to complete, how could you not play for a long time? The game is so fun you'll never want to turn it off.

Challenge: 10
There are so many things to do in the game it provides a great challenge. You've got to navigate your way around a *HUGE* world, catch over 200 Pokemon, get a bunch of Gym Badges, and much more!

Game Design: 10
Worhty of a 100, catch, train, battle, trade, evolve, collect game idea is 110 percent original. The only few games that have this much hidden stuff in them are Donkey Kong 64 and Harvest Moon 64.

Overall: 10
Overall I give it a 10, I mean, what's not to like? Every category is perfect, and the game is nearly flawless. Plus it's rated ''E'' for Eveyone.
