"How does Tetris fare on the Game Boy Color?"

Tetris DX takes the Tetris game to the next level. With four modes of play, record save, color, portable, and backward compatibility makes Tetris DX cool. The game play in Tetris DX is your average Tetris game. Nothing new in this department. What makes always made the Tetris games is the addictive game play, and Tetris DX is no exception to that particular rule. I do not know why Tetris DX is so addictive, but it is, and that is what makes it so much fun.

Graphics-7/10

The graphics in Tetris DX pretty much look like the graphics in the Nintendo and Game Boy versions of Tetris, only now in color. But still, the graphics in Tetris DX are pretty good. They get the job done, and in the end, that is really what matters. Am I right folks?

Audio-7/10

The music in Tetris DX has one good tune. All of the other tunes in Tetris DX are pretty much the same and forgettable. The music in Tetris DX does not compare to the original Game Boy Tetris music, but it does move past the Nintendo and Super Nintendo versions of Tetris. The sound effects in Tetris DX are your standard Tetris, or puzzle game sound effects. Nothing new or special in this department.

Replay-9/10

Tetris DX is addictive, and Tetris will always be addictive. The only thing that bugs me about the replay is that they should have put in extra modes or options to unlock. A lot of Game Boy Color games are doing that these days, and Tetris DX is not jumping on the bandwagon. Oh well, you will not be able to stop playing Tetris DX anyway. The classic Tetris game play remains the same, and I can not wait until the next Tetris game comes out for Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance.

Overall-8/10

Tetris DX is good for anyone, but it is the same game play, and you can get the same game play from any other basic Tetris game. (Tetris 2, Tetris Attack, and some other Tetris variants have different game play) But still, if you do not have a version of Tetris, what are you waiting for? Get Tetris DX today. Of course, you can get The Next Tetris for Sony Playstation for $20.00, compared to Tetris DX at $27.00. But, if you travel a lot, Tetris DX is the game you want.
