"Super Wario Boredom"

Wario Land 2 is a Platform game developed by Nintendo. This game bored me to death so I'm not even in the mood of writing an Intro… (although I've just done so in a way), so here it goes…

Hmmm… I don't even know why I even mention this section… It's a Wario game so the story is simple. Some critters have stolen his treasures, (probably the ones you gathered in the first game), and now you must get them back…

Gameplay: 4.5/10
Replay Value: -10/10

The game is not broken. It doesn't have any problems, it isn't a victim of bad and rushed design. The controls are fine, the audiovisual quality is good… however the game is extremely boring. Why? Well Wario 2 is pretty much like the same game, a simple Platformer where you run & jump around stomping on enemies and collecting as much money and treasures as you can… but this time something is missing. The levels are full of secrets when in the original there were only 2-3 in each level, (at the most). In here levels are packed with them something that makes them unexciting to find. Secondly the Action part of the game is extremely easy, far easier than the already too easy Wario Land. Wario is… invincible! The only thing he loses when he gets touched by an enemy are a bunch of coins something that makes gathering money the only challenge of the game. The game is bad, bad, bad, bad aaand bad. Its so boring the first time that I doubt that you will play it again. If you want a good Wario game Wario Land 4 is in my humble opinion the right game for you.

Graphics: 7.5/10
Sound: 6.8/10

Nothing really worth mentioning here. The game looks and sounds good, nothing special or original. Wario has very good design and animation, (and looks even more, err, Wario-like), and the levels are the typical areas you would expect from a game like this. The SFX are the typical Mario\Wario fanfare and the music although not catchy at all gets its job done.

Well that's about it. Wario 2 isn't exactly a badly designed game… the problem is that it is just a game something that makes really bad games more entertaining than this… I hope that the last sentence made sense ;)
