"Hey an apple...oh god! It was a bomb and I died, nice."

Well, let me say something first... I LOVE RAMPAGE! However this one... just didn't cut it. Here is my review of Rampage 2: Universal Tour.

Graphics: Well, the monsters look nice, let's say that, but the people have no real movements, no faces, and no variety... they all look the same! Decent graphics though. 6/10.

Sound: Hm mm, let's skip this part of the review...what I can't, fine. The sounds are terrible, the only good part of the sound is one song I like, that's it. Enough said. 2/10.

Characters: The characters are great, like any other rampage game, they are about 6, Ralph, George, Lizzy, Curtis, Ruby, and Boris. They all have a different look and animate quite well, they each also have a special power, unique to them. This is the best part of the game. 8/10.

Environments: not so great, the buildings are all copies of each other, just with different colors. The backgrounds are just shadows pretty much, and the crumbling animations and such of the buildings really suck. I'm done with this. 3/10.

Controls: The controls are good for the most part, they are easy to use. A to jump, B to punch, A & B at the same time to kick, direction keys to move, of course, START to pause, and then SELECT to quit. The kicking is a little weird, sometimes I eat stuff that shouldn't be, like an bomb or something that looks like an apple. 9/10.

Game-play: The game-play is decent at best. While it is the same as all rampage games, it's not too nice looking in this version...thanks to the graphics, the animations and other stuff, destroying buildings is lifeless. However the actual game-play can be fun for some time, maybe thirty minutes or even an hour, or even one rescue of your buddies...but that's it, nothing else. 6/10.

Last-ability: Well, if you can stand the game and go all the way through, you'll find out that the game has great last-ability. There are at least 73 days (levels) or so to smash and bash buildings, but will you'll hold out through the whole game. 10/10, or 5/10 (if you can't hold out).

Re-play: Normally, I can play through a rampage game over and over, but this...I just simply can't. Enough said on this topic. 2/10.

So, is it worth buying...the simple answer, no. Just borrow, or download a rom, or rent it (if you can) and you'll get your fill of it in just about thirty minutes or so. It is decent, but nothing more, go with the psx or N64 version, they are much better.
