"The Best Basketball Game Ever For The Gameboy Color!"

I don't think there is a better simulation basketball game than this one for the Gameboy Color. This game is almost perfect in every aspects of basketball. The game features real rosters from the 2000 season. It has all the realistic moves that you can do in an NBA game such as backing down, posting up, dunks, lay-ups, freethrows, and long distance shots. You can also expect to see all the familiar rules of the game such as shot clock, out of bounds, 5-second violation, and backcourt violation. This game is very rich in features and options. In fact, I have never played another basketball game that is as deep as this one on the Gameboy Color.

Now, let's talk about why I think this game deserve a 10:

Music/Sound: I really like the music in this game. I especially like the post game music. I also like how during the game music is played once in a while and not all the time. I have played other basketball games and would get annoyed by the tunes that were playing nonestop during games. There is a different tune for just about every screen in this game. On the court, you can hear the crowd cheers every time you make a shot. You can also hear the familiar sound of the ball being dribble and the wishing sound when you train a jump shot. The sound department in this game is rock solid. (10/10)

Graphics: The graphics is very good, believe it or not. All the courts have appropriate logos and colors. They all are so beautiful! The players and fans on the sidelines, however, don't have a lot of details. I don't expect them to be because it's really hard to have lots of details in such a small screen. So, it's kind of hard to tell who's who on the court. Thankfully, the game has the name of the player with the ball at the bottom of the screen. They also done a good with players sizes. Shaq looks really big in this game just like he really is in real life. In addition, the game uses the isometric view like the early NBA Live games that makes the players feel more three-dimensional. Furthermore, the players animations feel very smoothe and realistic. Sometimes players flicker when crowded together. However, they are real minor and don't happen that often. The beautiful courts, smoothe animations, and above average players models are good enough for me! (10/10)

Control: I think that this game has the best control lay out for a basketball game on the system. The control is easy to learn and is also deadly accurate. On top of that, you can even do a backing down move against your defender. Master the control and you will be ready for some big time basketball action! (10/10)

Gameplay: This is where the game shines the brightest. First of all, the players all are rated in abilities similar to their real-life counterparts. So don't expect to train long jumpers with a guy like Shawn Bradley. Big guys tend to also get stripped quite more often than guards. I think that this adds a lot realism to the game. The game lets you tweak almost everything from rules to how many games to play in a season or playoffs series. In season you can also look at stats to see how your team is doing. If you think you have the skills then you can try to put your players on the League Leaders lists. Also, this game even lets you play the General Manager. You can create your own players to compete for the title. If you're not happy with your team then you can also trade for players to help your team wins. The game is real deep with options for you to explore! (10/10)

Replayability: This game is always fun to play. You will never grow tired from playing this game. You can play a quick game alone or with another friend through the use of a Link-Cable. Want to feel whats like to be an NBA player? Take a team through the season and experience it yourself! You can always, however, jump right in the playoffs where every game is a must-win for you. Whatever you choose you'll always sure to enjoy it! (10/10)

Buy or Rent: You must get this game wherever you see it! It's pretty rare to find. Don't be afraid to give $10 for it. I am sure you will be glad if you do.
