"A new HM added to the family."
Finally a new HM for GBC has been released. I've been anticipating this game for a while and I'm not disappointed.
Graphics - 10/10 : Much like HM2 for GBC. It is very colorful and detailed up to the characters faces. It's very good for GBC. The environment has been colorfully drawn, such as the grass, crops, stumps, rocks, trees, houses, etc. The world map looks great too which is also detailed.
Music & Sound - 7/10 : Music is much like all the previous Harvest Moons. There is different season music every time the seasons change. But it gets repetitive when you hear the same music over and over again especially when it starts over again when you move into a new area.
Some areas have the same music but some areas don't like the mainland. The mainland music has different music than the island music.
Now concerning the sound. The sound isn't great but it's GBC after all. But there is this annoying scratchy noise whenever you run, when it rains, and when you use your tools. It's very annoying.
Gameplay - 10/10 : It has very easy controls, which you could learn easily.
There's a lot to do in this game. Collect fishes, many seeds to plant, watching movies, part time jobs(isn't what you think),etc. And many villagers to talk to and make friends with.
And this game some utensils are very expensive so you would have to work very hard to buy them, which is challenging.
It also has a lot of mini-games, for example racing your horse and snow boarding.
Also in this game you will be able to marry unlike the previous Harvest Moons and also you'll get a kid as a result from marrying.
Replay Value - 6/10 : It seems to be very tedious after a while, even though the game will be challenging even after beating the game. But the good thing is to test new things like playing as a girl if you played as a boy and vice versa. And maybe you'll choose a new pet this time.
Overall - 7/10 : So overall this game has some great gameplay, many, many things to do in this game. The sound sounds irritating, but the music is very cheerful. The replay value can be good if you change gender and it can be challenging even after beating the game. Yet playing the game over again tends to be tedious.
Rent or Buy? : I would recommend buying this game. You wouldn't want to borrow this kind of game. This game will have you hooked for hours so I wouldn't recommend renting it.
