"The Original Sega Speed-side-scrolling Hog!"
Gameplay: (5) The objective of this game is to lead our blue hero through a world full of Dr. Robotnicks evil Robots, and each stage is a maze/raceway. You must collect coins along the way, attempting to gain the chaos crystals and become Golden Sonic.
Graphics: (5) Quite good for a sega game, the game is colorfull and intricate, with large backgrounds, huge levels, and fancifull characters. Each enemy has it's own attack and pattern, and each one is done with a bright color and animation.
Sound: (4) a small flaw, the music gets tedious after a while, and the enemies seem to make the same sounds most of the time. Sonic doesn't make any noises at all, which is sad, since he had such possibility! ;-p. Anyway, the sounds are fairly decent, you just get sick of thme after a while
Story: (5) For a sidescroller, the story is pretty good. You must find your way through the world saving your friends from Robotnick, since he has trapped them in the Robots you must fight. Freeing them as you go, you must eventually face, and stop, the Evil Dr. Robotnick.
Replayability: (5) The game will sit around for a week or two, and then you'll get the urge to plug it back in and play again! And years later, you can come back and play it, and it's still fun!
All in all, i recommend playing this game, as it's a good diversion, and fun to play.
