"Prepare for the Ultimate Challenge"

Right now you're probably asking why I titled this review "Prepare for the Ultimate Challenge". Well, that's something said in the still action, captioned movie from between levels. The phantom says "Prepare for the Ultimate Challenge" on the final level. Really, the ultimate challenge could be considered putting up with the game. So, if you play this game, prepare for the ultimate challenge.

Story: N/A
Just follows story of movie

Gameplay: 3/10
This game gets so annoying after a while. Really, the game is nothing more than killing enemy after enemy. You play as Bruce Lee as you fight your way through many battles with enemies. What's so bad about that? Well, first off, the playing field is really small. You can move left a certain distance, and then you get blocked by that invisible wall. You go to the right of the screen, and you also get blocked. Now, if that wasn't bad enough, a lot of the fights the game pits you against can become unfair. All of the enemies seem to be super intelligent computers who can read your every move and can hit you 5 times in a row, then send you flying to the ground. To make matters worse, on two levels you have to fight 2 people at once, and on another level, you have 60 seconds to defeat this nut who seems to have had too much coffee this morning. (worst of all, you would have already beat him and you wouldn't want to play him again...trust me)

Graphics: 4/10
I gave the graphics a four. I was feeling generous. Okay, so the graphics aren't terrible, but they're far from great. The only good thing I can say is that the backgrounds usually look well detailed and it actually looks like you're fighting in that spot. Everything else isn't so hot, though. You and your enemies look poorly drawn (your enemies on level 2 are guys???!!!)and so do you.

Sound: 3/10
The sound in this game isn't anything to get excited about...at all. The sound effects are downright terrible. Kicking, punching, striking...they all sound the same way, and that's bad, because they all sound awful. The only good thing about this part is the music. Although a lot of the measures are terrible, there are one or two that stand out and are actually somewhat fun to listen too. Everything aside from one or two background tracks sounds really bad.

Multiplayer: 4/10
The multiplayer is actually the best part of the game. If you want to, you can team up with another human in the main game and that should give you an edge on the enemy. The only problem is that after each level's enemy is dead, the two humans have to go head to head. That really stinks, because it doesn't exactly give you an easy time with all the future enemies when you really need the help. There's also just a multi player where you just beat everyone else up. The only problem is you only play as Bruces in the multiplayer, and that can be really annoying just seeing clones with different colored pants jump across the screen.

Length: 2/10
To someone at the beginning who really struggles with this, the game may feel like it takes forever to finish. Actually, the game is really short. There are only about 8 levels, and each level should only take about two minutes max. (except for maybe the one with the two japanese chicks with who are as tough as nails)

Replayability: 1/10
Sharpen your skills. That's the only reason you'd want to play this game again. If you don't want to replay it again, you're probably like me-someone who just wants to beat the game and be done with it for good.

Total Score: 17/60
Averaged Score: 2.8 (rounds up to 3)

Buy or Rent?
If you want to just play this game and see how bad it is, then rent it. Don't make the mistake of buying it, even if the game is only about 6 dollars at most now.
