Powerups
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Friendly jets appear at various times in the levels. If shot, they will release
a powerup that will float about the screen for a while. These powerups may be
used to provide extra offense or defense. As you collect more of the same
powerup, the benefit of the powerup is increased.

There are three powerups: Fire, Thunder, and Water. Fire provides bombs.
Thunder provides a constant beam of energy shooting in front of you. Water
provides a protective shield.

Guardian Capsules
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Throughout your journey to destroy the enemy scum, you will encounter various
capsules that float about the screen. Shooting them produces four multi-colored
objects that drop down the screen. Collecting enough of these will provide you
with a guardian, a miniature ship at your side that will help you defeat your
enemies. You can have multiple guardians.

You start off flying with a squad to fend off the advancing robots, but your
comrades are shot down. Alone, you continue the mission.

Incoming will be flaming skull enemies. Dispatch them easily with a few rounds.
After a few groups of them, come upon a giant yellow tank. The giant yellow
tank starts its engines and heads off the top of the screen. Prepare for the
barrage of enemies ahead.

A few enemy jets will fly toward you as well as some eye robots. Again, take
them out with ease. Destroy the lone jet to earn a weapon upgrade. Spiked
skulls will appear on your left and right. They will move in front you, so be
careful to prevent flying into them.

Ahead will be rows of eye robots. Ships will move down the screen on the left
and right, accompanied by spiked skulls. Shoot the turrets of the ships and
pick up another upgrade one of the enemies leaves behind.

After a few jets fly toward you, a group of ships moves down the screen. Shoot
their turrets and dodge their shots to remain safe. Once they are done, a group
of flaming skulls welcomes you. Beware the flying missile-launching robot
ahead.

A few of the ships ahead have turrets. More spiked skulls, missile-launching
robots, and enemy jets await you. By now, you know what to do: take them out.
Engage a group of eye robots after a few squadrons of enemy jets.

A jet offers an upgrade when you approach the giant turrets of a ship. Take out
the giant turrets with a few bursts and attack the oncoming spiked skulls,
missile-launching robots, and flaming skulls.

After a few waves of jets, skulls, and turrets, say hello to the two giant
turrets arriving on the left and right sides of the screen. Watch your back as
missile-launching robots fly in. Avoid or shoot the incoming flaming skulls and
turrets on the ships.

Multiple waves of the common enemies listed above await you ahead. After
defeating them, two tanks start moving on the tracks on the right and left
sides of the screen. Take them out with direct fire to their fronts while
avoiding their fire. They fire is a quarter-circle toward your position, so
stay back and move through the gaps between the shots.

After the mini-bosses and some more waves of common enemies, rendezvous with
the yellow tank from the beginning of the level. The yellow tank has a pyramid
structure of cannons. The bottom three cannons shoot bursts of slow-moving
small shots. The middle two cannons each shoot one small, fast round, and the
top cannon fires three, giant, slow-moving round. The middle cannons' shots can
be defended against by shooting them.

Take out the bottom cannons and work your way up since the bottom cannons pose
the greatest threat. Once the three levels have been taken out, the skull at
the top of the tank becomes visible. It shoot what starts as one ball but
spreads to become five flaming faces. To dodge them easily, just stay directly
in front of the skull at the bottom of the screen. When the first wave of faces
comes, move to the right or left. Wait for the second wave, then move across to
the opposite side using the gap between the waves.

Level over.

Level Two
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You start off flying down a tunnel. The mission objective is to destroy the
power chamber.

Eye robots approach from the top of the screen. A new enemy jumps out of the
background, a ninja robot.

More waves of eye robots approach, a couple more ninja robots jump out of the
background, and you are introduced to crawlers. These enemies crawl up and down
the walls of the left and right sides of the screen and shoot lazers
horizontally at you. They also can jump across to the other wall, so be
careful.

More ninjas appear, as well as a dual-machine gun-toting robot, called gunny
from now on. Some ninjas also are riding spiked skulls. After a wave of eye
robots, crawlers, and ninjas, greet the giant robotic head and the suicide
bombers. I assume they are suicide bombers since they attempt to fly into you
and blow up bigger-than-usual when shot.

As for the robotic head, it shoots metal and gears at you while pillars push
horizontally across the screen. Fly into safe spots while avoiding or shooting
the scrap metal coming your way, and fire at the head when you can. None of the
pillars seem to move all the way across the screen, so I expect you can seek
safety at the extreme edge of one of the rows. After some well-placed, the
robotic head explodes.

Directly after the robotic head, suicide bombers fly in to deliver their goods.
Kill or avoid them and duel with the gunny. A wave of eye robots approaches
soon after.

Pillars start to move horizontally across the screen as single-shooting gunnies
appear. However, they should not prove to be too much trouble for a seasoned
fighter such as yourself.

Ninjas riding spiked skulls move up from the bottom of the screen as normal
ninjas fall from the top, and a new enemy bursts out of its armor and lobs
flame shots at you.

Crawlers, spiked skulls, and suicide bombers await you up ahead. Eye robots,
ninjas riding spiked skulls, normal ninjas, and a gunny add some flavor to the
mix. Pillar and suicide bombers make a return right before the boss fight.

The boss moves on a track horizontally at the top of the screen. The large guns
on the side of its head shoot short-distance flames meant to defend against
your shots, as guns elsewhere on the robot shoot at you with normal shots.
Avoid the shots and shoot ahead of the boss to destroy the flamethrowers. Once
those are taken out, the guns elsewhere fire normal shots more rapidly. Water
powerups can defend against these normal shots. After a few more shots to the
face, the boss is out for the count.

Level over.

Level Three
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You are flying over a metallic area. Your mission is to destroy the enemies'
secret weapon.

Eye robots welcome you right away. Yellow robots appear on the left and right
sides of the screens and shoot at you. They are essentially upgraded crawlers,
but are just as easy to deal with. Yellow missile-launching robots also appear.

A giant red demon robot fires a dark orb at you. The dark orb trails you for a
little while and then explodes. After a while, the demon robot fires three
white-gray orbs. These can be blocked with the water powerup. Keep shooting the
red demon robot until its destroyed.

After the demon robot, the floor breaks away and all hell breaks loose. Yellow
and red missile-launching robots invade, along with snake robots and flying
fast-bullet shooting heads.

The common spiked skull enemies have upgraded to become flying skulls. they fly
on to the screen, stop, turn, and shoot at you, a process which leaves a lot of
time for you to take them out with relative ease.

Land bridges start to appear on the left and right sides of the screen,
severely limiting your mobility and producing some challenging maneuvers if you
are not prepared.

After the land bridges, red missile-launching robots and yellow crawlers arrive
and unload their arsenals. New enemies fly up from the depths of the
background. They look a little like fortune cookies, so they will be called red
cookies from now on. A flying fast-bullet shooting head, along with its
Symphony of the Night-esque ectoplasmic guardians, accompanies them. Yellow
missile-launching robots, flying skulls, eye robots, snake-like robots, and
more yellow crawlers complement the enemy forces. After a hefty amount of
slaughtering, prepare for the boss fight.

The boss is a flying two-devil masked robot. It shoots white-gray orbs like the
demon robot mini boss, so the water powerup makes for easy defense against this
attack. Spiky guardians also fly around the boss to provide some protection.
After you defeat the first form, by simply shooting the robot directly, the
second form appears.

The second form resembles a snake, only a demon is the head and the body and
tail are made up of the spiky guardians of the previous form. The main attack
is still the white-gray orbs, so the water powerup is still excellent for
defense. This time around, the boss also charges your position, so be ready to
move quickly or face death.

Level over.

Level Four
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You are flying above what seems to be a town. Your mission is to destroy the
enemy's long range attack bomber.

Again, eye robots welcome you right away. A group of flying spiked skulls
equipped with the equivalent of your thunder powerup attack. Do not make the
mistake of flying directly in front of them while they are shooting it. Other
new enemies appear including missile-launching robots that look like they are
wearing dresses, called dames from now on.

A flying baby head with a thunder weapon flies in from the top. Unlike the
flying spiked skulls equipped with the same weapon, the flying baby head tracks
you for a little while, so be on the move.

Small missile-launching jets appear as well as flying spiked skulls. Dames and
eye robots reinforce the jets and the skulls, and a double-thunder cannon-
equipped flying spiked skull comes to play.

Ninjas jump up from beneath the clouds and throw grenades at you as jets zoom
down from the top of the screen to release their loads. A thunderstorm begins.
Mace ninjas leap from below and charge you with their weapons after swinging
them threateningly above their heads for a few seconds. Two jets emerge from
the darkness carrying via tow lines a heart-looking robot.

The heart robot shoots rapidly providing a challenge for dodging. Additionally,
it is equipped with four thunder cannons it fires every now and then. However,
it shoots these straight down, so limit your time directly in front of the
robot and you will have little to worry about.

Flying spiked skull robots congratulate you afterwards. Jets return, as well as
dames and another baby head. Dual-wielding spiked skulls, eye robots, and more
dames approach. After a few waves, the boss greets you.

The boss has a blue back and red head. The front half of the robot moves
forward to reveal the weapon arsenal the boss is equipped with. A volley of
missiles heads towards you. When the midsection is visible, the boss can be
damaged by your weapons. When the body is covered again, the head shoots a
stream of bullets at you. After a while, the front half of the boss detaches
and falls to the depths below.

The boss now fires missiles and periodically spreads open to reveal a
mysterious green center. After charging, this green center releases a wide and
powerful beam of energy you most likely want to avoid, so do not stay directly
in front of the boss and be ready for evasive maneuvering. Again, the boss is
only susceptible to damage when it opens its hidden compartment.

Level over.

Level Five
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You are flying over a heavily-forested area. Your mission is to attack the
enemy supply lines.

Once again, eye robots welcome you warmly. A new enemy approaches, this time a
multiple-missile-launching jet, called multijets from here on. Another new
enemy appears, flying toward you and then gliding back to the top of the
screen, called gliders from here on. Jets with two missiles each arrive, as
well as more multijets and a gunny-derivative with a giant rifle, called rifler
from here on. After a few waves of those, riflers riding gliders descend along
with various missile-toting jets.

The mini-boss arrives, a robot with floating hands a face like a geisha. The
hands shoot a spread of three shots, charge your position, and move and shoot
thunder periodically. Just focus your fire on the face and the robot will go
down in no time.

Riflers riding gliders and a flying ship greet you up ahead, and red Critters-
like robots drop down the screen, called critters from now on. Shoot the
turrets off the ship or face a dodging nightmare. You encounter more ships,
more riflers, more gliders, and more crawlers ahead, as well as blue-ish flying
skull. After a few more waves of these enemies a drone-spawning robot, which is
easy to take care of if you kill the spawns quickly, you have a rematch with
the geisha robot.

After going through the first phase of the boss, which is exactly like the
previous encounter with her, her face dissolves to show a red skull. The skull
fires three green rounds from its mouth in rapid succession followed by
missiles from its four cannons between mouth shots. Dodging the missiles is
simple, dodging the shots may not be. If you position yourself directly in
front of the mouth and at the bottom of the screen, you may be able to sweep to
the left or right to dodge the shots. Just be prepared to avoid the imminent
missile being launched from the cannon close to you.

Level over.

Level Six
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You are flying over what looks to be lava. Your mission is to catch the enemy
battleship.

Never skipping a beat, eye robots welcome you at the start of the mission. Mace
ninjas leap from the depths below, followed by a blue version of the flying
head and ectoplasmic guardians seen in a previous level. More mace ninjas
challenge you, as well as a flying blue head with a spinning rapid-fire cannon
on its head.

Small blue jets which move quickly complement the enemy waves. A few more waves
of these enemies and you encounter a devil-face embroidered battleship. Atop
the ships are several quad-thunder cannons. Avoid their line of sight and deal
with the small blue jets invading the screen. After the battleship, face a
rematch with the guardian-spawning robot from before the final geisha fight.

The robot fires blue flames at you periodically and prefers to stay near the
center of the screen. Avoiding the blue flames is easy since they move
relatively slow, or you can just shoot them. Soon, he will bust out his blue
ball mace. When he swings his blue ball mace, it bursts into several blue
flames. Be ready to avoid them or shoot them.

Level over.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Level Seven
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

You are at the last stretch. Your mission is to infiltrate enemy airspace and
find and destroy the enemy headquarters.

Desperate to succeed, more eye robots welcome you. A wave of small, blue jets
and black and yellow jets arrives from the top of the screen. A gunny-like
robot and souped-up suicide bombers also approach.

Spinning gray and blue mines float in your path and the black and yellow jets
seem to have missiles now. Blue and yellow barely-visible enemies circle around
you as well, so be sure to avoid them. A giant gunny with two rapid fire
triple-shot cannons rises from the background. Wait for the break between shots
and get some well-aimed bursts off.

Beyond the super gunny lie more mines, more black and yellow missile-shooting
jets, more gunny-like robots, and new enemies that rise from the background.
Encounter another mini-boss, this time a multiple-missile launching red robot.
Move to the left or right and stay there while the red and black missiles are
launched and travel off-screen. Then move in for the shots while the white
missiles are trailing back to you. After the second mini-boss, face the final
boss.

The first form of the final boss involves moving the blue box away from the
blue panel behind it. When it isn't covering it anymore, shoot the blue panel.
Watch out for the lazers that pop out on the left and ride sides. They shoot
across the screen while the blue box shoots down the screen.

The second form of the boss involves shooting two green orbs, one on either
side of the central part of the boss, as a giant purple orb bounces around the
screen and the green orbs shoot smaller green orbs at you. Avoid the orbs as
best you can and shoot the green orbs until they are destroyed.

The final boss form involved moving up a tunnel shooting at the purple orb from
the previous form. The boss shoots green orbs down the tunnel at you. Avoid
them as best you can. If the green orbs hit the walls, purple pillars shoot out
horizontally, so be sure not to be next to where the green orbs hit.

An extra boss awaits after the final boss. He is a pushover for the most part
and rewards you ten extra lives. Just avoid his thunder attack, a frontal
attack, and shoot him until he dies.

Level and game over.
